Cute_Bro Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 (edited) Name: Ryn Lorail Age: 21 Occupation: Potential Apprentice Place of Residence: Hails from Cel'Dor, however has no home until he stumbles upon a Master Bio: Born among elves, Ryn had always been told by his parents that he must be a orderly, regal individual, someone who was better than the rest, and was made for greatness. His skills would prove what his parents told him. He had a knack on being able to do...well anything really. He showed adpetness at magic, skills at hunting, strength for tasks such as construction or herding, He showed intelligence and memory for cartography, speed for a thief or a messenger. He had the talent to do it all. Emphasis on do. While initially, when younger, he agreed with his parents that he could do anything and be the best around, as he grew, he soon realized a damning truth. Yes he had the talent for everything, but when it came to honing that talent to actually be skilled enough at a specific task to assist others, well, he wanted to do so much, he could not focus on one thing. This concerned his parents, as the more he grew, the more it seemed that the same thing that could make him great was sealing his fate as subject to being someone who was destined to be nothing more than average at everything. A mere jack of all trades. This wouldn't do for his proud parents, and they sent him away to explore the rest of Fordinia, to find a Master to teach him in one specific craft. To give him direction, and meaning. Always regal when traveling by day, and always wearing more loose clothes when hunting to survive, due to several months of loneliness the boy is a rather shy, yet also excited fellow when in the presence of those he sees as experts in a sepcific occupation. He is proud of talents, but is not so to the point of narcissistic. Rather he is more eager to show anyone he comes across his abilities, in the hopes of finding that one person who will finally take him under their wing and truly make him the Master he was always told he could be. Cute_Bro Posted November 11, 2022 Author Posted November 11, 2022 Lol yeah no worries, if anyone is too uncomfortable with it I can always bump the age up. The idea was to keep him young as an apprentice, to show he has much to learn still. 1
BunnyInASock Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 (edited) Don’t forget that since you made him an elf that’s almost like infancy levels of young as well. You could just specify in tha age that he’s still young for his race after you make him like 80 or something to make sure people know. Edited November 11, 2022 by BunnyInASock 1
Cute_Bro Posted November 11, 2022 Author Posted November 11, 2022 I shall be sure to change it so as to make people more comfortable, seeing as this is how you treat elves' age. That's super helpful for this problem and saves a lot of discomfort! Thanks! 1
