Planet Saex... Yup.

The primary directive of the colony ship was to set up a colony at the final destination. However there were a multitude of secondary objectives involving planetary exploration. The seed storage had plenty of Earth crops but part of their duty to providing a sustainable colony was to collect possible extraterrestrial crops, especially if they provide more nutrition, more oxygen or perhaps even help advance human medicine.

It just so happened the first planet within scanning range had a breathable atmosphere! Their Luanari pilot was given the esteemed privilege of naming first planet! The name chosen... was... Saex (phonetically sex) The Luanari word for friendship! The colony ship began its orbital circle around planet Saex and the expedition crew was expected to take a shuttle and land on the planet for the next 48 hours collecting anything of potential value for Dr. Bloom. The captain waited by the shuttle for he crew volunteers. Just a quick trip to the surface, what could go wrong?

(The Entire Crew DOES not need to go, so no one needs to feel obligated to participate in these crew missions. I will say be prepared for... encounters.

I would save it for a surprise but I want to make sure everyone participating is fully aware of what could potentially happen. Some of these plants are going to be "aggressive". If that's not something you want for your character, either let me know in DM or make a note in your character intro or just don't volunteer your character! I will make sure your participation is still valued! ^_^)

The last few days had been very exciting for the ship's little purplish alien. She had woken up following years of slumber, had discovered and named a planet, had experienced plenty of new things with various species that had been more or less new to her people, and was now about to embark upon the first exploration of that very same planet that she had named! Sure, the name she had chosen was unfortunately quite embarrassing when using the Human language, but it still fit very well when it came to the Luanari tongue! A planet of friendship! Hopefully whatever alien inhabitants existed here would be just as the namesake she'd given it! Preferably the Luanari version, although the Human version certainly would potentially be interesting as well.

As it turned out Xyvee was the first to volunteer for this mission! Well, besides the captain of course. But then it made sense given she was the one to name it. Why wouldn't she go? Not only would she get the chance to explore and potentially meet new creatures but she was also getting the chance to spend more personal time with whoever else decided to join them! How far would they venture from the shuttle? Would they share a tent? A bed?!?

Oh gosh! This is so exciting!

Xyvee was already suited up not only in the standard skinsuit uniform of her people, but also in the extra armor that layered atop it! She had allowed her hair to shorten into a style which hung down at its lowest against the back of her neck, short enough to fit comfortably within the currently active bubble helmet projected by the torso armor of her suit. Luanari tech, still perhaps more advanced than they'd wanted to show off, but important enough for the mission that Xyvee had been allowed to bring it along.

Who knows? Maybe showing off Luanari technology will bring us closer together!

This was also to be her first real chance to show off her capabilities in the primary role she'd been selected for: security. It was her job to protect the rest of the crew! As such she was suitably armed for the task with a pistol. A Human pistol, of course, as the Luanari were not keen to simply hand over their weapons. The suit and armor were more than enough, and besides her people were physically quite strong! Surely she could handle most threats with that alone?

When she reached the vessel she stopped before her captain, a wide smile across her lips as her right arm lifted to her chest in the classic Luanari salute! "Evee is here to voloonteer!"

If nobody else joins us I'll be alone with captain for the whole trip!

The faintest of pink spread across her cheeks at the thought. What might happen if that were the case? Heck, such things might even happen if more people joined them!

Focus! Mission! Exploration! For the Luanari!

It’s been an interesting bit of time since Lucky woke up. He found the pep meeting at the beginning to be lame as shit. He did find it fun to rebuild the entire engineering room. Then there was the time he spent with Flora the botanist… he actually found that to be quite nice. Yeah, he could see himself enjoying this somewhat with the interesting characters he could mess with and give nicknames to. He had left hydroponics and resumed his work in his area for awhile now.

He was in the middle of working on his equipment around the time that the message came on about planetary exploration. He had to do a double take once more on the planet’s name. “Really? They straight up made it official? That’s fucking hilarious.” He chuckles lightly as he starts to equip his off ship gear. He starts off changing out of his garage gear and into a black suit with orange lines up his sides. He then puts on black gloves with wide orange metal cuffs. He puts on multiple harnesses where he sticks in his field tools he also modded to be possible weapons. Finally, he grabs his welding mask and puts it on his face, triggering the blue LED eye lights to switch on. These were all inventions of his own design. They were still in the prototype stage, but he saw this planet exploration as a perfect field test to find the flaws. He then walks to the vehicle section of his area and goes to the planetary cruiser. He had also done some modifications to this machine and also gave it a custom paint job. It was painted with a red line running across it and all black under the line and all gray over the line. He jumps into the cruiser and start the vehicle, driving it to the docking bay.

Draven and Xyvee would hear the cruiser heading in their direction. Also, they would hear music playing from the cruiser. If he knew his shows from the ancient past well enough, he would recognize it as the theme song for the A-Team. The vehicle comes to a stop in front of them and the shutters on the side open. Lucky comes out and gives an overdramatic salute. “We are ready to explore, Captain Planet! Hey! I see we got Smurfette here, too!”

Sonja blinked as she yawned tired leaning her head against the wall as she looked at all who had gathered so far, there was the captain the short alien she is currently trying to not disect for the fun of it and a man she did not care for
