  1. All the links seem to be broken... let's link up some good art and start rating again! This one will probably load slow for you (thanks imgbox), but give it a chance. It's one of my favorite patreon artists!
  2. Now I feel like it's me...
  3. I'll have to be more careful how I word things!
  4. Hopefully she finds someone to help her open up.
  5. I hope my "distant and aloof" character isn't too pretentious. She absolutely will interact with people, I just figured it would be easier to get her into the roleplay quickly by having her pretend she's fine with nudity and act like she knows everything. I think that might be her default behavior - "I already know all about this", because that could never get her into any sticky situations.
  6. Aya had stripped immediately upon entering the locker room, but had waited for long minute after everyone else had left. Now that the locked room was empty, she took out her tiny backpack and began putting on the allowed accessories. First she put on a wide brimmed sunhat and huge framed sunglasses, then pushed her feet into her sandals, feeling the strap slide between her toes. She looked down and decided to leave her belly button ring in. She put on matching bracelet, anklet, and belly chain, all silver with amethyst gems that matched her long, purple hair. She did not want to go out onto the beach. She didn't want to be here at all. But she was, and as usual, she would make the most of the situation in which she found herself. She raised her chin, squared her shoulders, picked up the book she planned on reading, and strode out of the locker room. She walked as if she knew the lay of the land and where she was going despite her cluelessness, her long legs took long strides, and she passed by her classmates quickly without even acknowledging them. She ignored everyone else, avoided eye contact, and stared straight ahead. Her gaze locked on a row of lounge chairs under wide umbrellas, and she veered slightly to head directly towards them. Arriving at an unoccupied chair, she wiped the seat with one hand, then sat in a fluid, graceful movement, long legs scissoring out before resting her heels on the foot of the lounge chair. She leaned back, her purple hair spreading out around her head, and lifted her book. She began reading as if this were the most normal thing possible. Within her ribcage, her heart pounded and she had to school her expression to remain calm. She resisted the urge to look around. Cold and confident, she reminded herself, distant and aloof. That was her armor, her only defense now that she could no longer hide behind loose fitting clothes and terse responses. Part of her hoped her classmates ignored her and part of her wished to make friends here, but she didn't know which part was stronger. She took a deep, calming breath and started reading.
  7. It's hosted on imgbox which is slooooooowwwwww.....
  8. Name: Aya Kayaguchi Gender: Female Age: 18 Sexuality: Heterosexual (Bi-curious) Club Membership: Tennis, Calligraphy Typical Grades: consistently in the top 5% Athleticism: a good tennis player, above average endurance and flexibility, low strength Personality: Aya is quiet, shy, and polite to a fault. She is terrified of anyone finding out her history, or worse still, revealing any of the photos of her from when she modeled. She fears her grandfather's strict response if she gets in trouble here, but she is desperate to make a connection with someone. Hope shines behind her smile, even if she quickly averts her eyes and hurries away. Background: Aya was born in the United States and traveled between New York City and Los Angeles due to her mothers acting career. Her father came from old money but had married for love, earning him the disdain of his family. Aya was thrown into modeling early and had a promising career, until her father was arrested and the family name was tarnished. Her mother spiraled into drug abuse and ended up in rehab. Aya was placed in state custody until her grandfather stepped in. He assumed legal responsibility for her and moved her to his home in Japan. With no friends and no family other than an emotionally distant grandfather, she was enrolled in school and now keeps to herself. She keeps to herself, studies hard, and rarely socializes. She prays that no one finds out about the shame her parents have bough on her or her history as a model. She now hopes only to graduate and return to America. Defining Characteristic: Quiet stares. When something happens, Aya can be found staring silently, desperate to be part of the gang, but uncertain how she fits in. Ons (Character): Despite her desire for multiple partners and exhibitionism, Aya is actually a romantic at heart, and dreams of one day making love with the perfect person. She always thought that would be a man, but just before coming to Japan she had a brief encounter with another girl that made her want to explore that more.
  9. Mythology/Western/Invasion It's 1849 and the California Gold Rush is just kicking into high gear. But in this world, demigods walk among us, descendants of gods of various pantheons. Celtic, Norse, Greek, and Roman demigods have spread across European colonies, and many are popular and well-known throughout the expanding United States. Mythological heroes from indigenous tribes stand against the expanding Americans. Yoruba and Fon mythological figures from Africa have accompanied the people sold into slavery and assert themselves in the American South and explore westward. Chinese immigrants are accompanied by their own mythological figures, and those from Aztec mythology move north while Inuit mythological figures move south. The gold calls them west, calls them to California. But it also calls the aliens. They need the gold for <reasons> and they found a massive source of it here on Earth. Their technology is advanced far beyond that of Earth, but they don't have the demigods and figures out of mythology. Sixguns and Demigods clash with alien invaders to see who will claim the gold in them there hills! (that seems like a setting for a group roleplay!)
  10. Yeah, the easy answer would be "romance while a kaiju is attacking" which was why my brains slid right past it. I guess I just looked on the surface and didn't think of Kong or anything else. There are actually a lot of "kaiju/unexpected genre" stories out there, once I start to think about it. I mean Kipo is like kaiju/coming of age. The movie Colossal was kaiju/slice of life, and I know there are more anime variations than you could shake a fish at (Neon Genesis, Attack on Titan, etc.) I guess in my head I saw kaiju and went right to "Godzilla" and romance seemed like the one theme that didn't fit with any of the Godzilla movies. Like I said, I know I can do better. If the idea is world building and trying to come up with a place for people to write a roleplay, I think a kaiju falling in love with a mech and it's pilots is probably a bit too niche for mass appeal. Maybe I need to use a different deck. Those cards definitely suggest plot ideas for a story, but not necessarily ideas of greater world-building. Let me see if I can narrow the criteria for my random generator.
  11. I like to take two that don't seem related at all and mash them up. Like... kaiju romance. ...and now I feel like I have to make up a kaiju romance. What if we had a world threatened by monstrous kaiju, a world where humans (of course) made powerful, kaiju-sized mechs in which to battle these invading monsters. But one mech in particular isn't threatening. For some reason, the particular configuration chose for this mech doesn't frighten or enrage the kaiju like so many of the others do. This one sets off a romantic reaction. One kaiju in particular is intent on making this mech her own. She pursues him and uses her standard kaiju courting rituals, which badly damage the mech. When the pilots try to escape, she saves them, only to try to put them back in the mech. She knows it's not real, but she wants the fantasy. When they finally figure out how to communicate with her, they find out the kaiju weren't invading, they were just out looking for a date! meh, that's not very exciting to me. I could probably do better.
  12. Cara was taken aback by the forward nature of the young woman. She certainly would like someone so brash under normal circumstances, but... frankly, she had lost interest in human relationships. Ever since she experienced the fascinating and quite enjoyable phenomena known as tentacle sex, she just couldn't look at humans the same again. The idea of dating and even trying to get physical with another human seemed like a waste of time. "That's very sweet of you, Stephanie," she said, trying not to hurt the poor girl's feelings, "but I'm afraid I'd only disappoint you as a friend. My work keeps me far too busy to successfully manage any interpersonal relationships." She turned back to her datapad, then looked back up. "But it was nice meeting you." She smiled awkwardly, then looked back down at her datapad.
  13. Cara let her eyes refocus on the woman across from her. She was quite attractive. If her work kept her less busy, she might even be inclined to flirt. But work was her entire life ever since she got involved with the COITUS labs. She opted for her usual dismissive tone. "I'm sorry, can I help you?"
  14. Here's the challenge. Let's cooperatively build a world, a new setting for a roleplay. I do this all the time as a creative exercise, but it's so much more fun to do with others. I find the practice of putting forth an idea, listening to how it inspires ideas in others, then having those ideas in turn inspire more of my own ideas, in this ever-snowballing process of cooperative creation to be fascinating, inspiring, and so much fun! Let's try it. I have a random generator to start out with a random ideas, but let me just toss a pile of words out and see who wants to select a few to use as the basis for our new world. My generator spits them out so it looks like a pile of cards. You don't have to use these... they're just to help generate ideas. But let's see what we can come up with.
  15. Dr. Cara Donnelly took the cup of coffee and her datapad and headed to a quiet corner of the coffee shop. She wore a loose fitting top and tight dress pants that hugged her ass more than she normally liked. The top was loose enough that it mostly hid her curves, but the pants showed off her legs and ass. She wore knee high black boots with a modest heel, and her work ID hung aroudn her neck from a lanyard. She sat and stared at the datapad screen, her fingers moving as if she were typing, the haptic sensors down the backs of each finger translating the slight movements to keystrokes on her datapad. She stared off into space for a long moment, thinking about the next experiment she would propose to the team. As she did so, other people in the coffee shop went about their business, but she paid them little heed. Tables were filling up, conversation grew louder, and soon the only empty seat in the place was opposite her at the tiny table in the corner, but she still didn't notice the others around her. It would take someone speaking directly to her to get her attention.
  16. Give me a game controller and you can do whatever you want.
  17. Well no matter what happens, I am definitely recording this to prove it happened.
  18. Nod solemnly at him and remain still in bed, trying not to break anything.
  19. I'll message you to work out details of a rp between Stephanie and Cara.
