  1. *As the world around Donovan disappeared, a new one formed around him. No longer was he in his office at work but it looked like he was somewhere near the centre of Patrioit's Park, where the Amplitheatre was and where the statues of the heroes that died during the Outsider War were. It looked like an excellent reconstruction of Patriot's Park by the look of it, apart from the fact there was no people here. Everything like all the seats, water fountains, rubbish bins, paths, lights and utilties were all where they were in the 'reali world'. Whoever made this had done a really good job in modelling it. This was very odd, as Patriot's Park was always full of people and life. Here, he could not hear any signs of life. There didn't seem to be anyone here but himself. For a few moments, silence would reign in this strange place. Suddenly, his Arm Computer let out a beeping noise as it projected a screen out in front of him. It stated that the 'Game Field Stage' had been automatically selected for him for the sake of convenience but if he wished to change the 'Stage', he could do so by saying 'Stage Select' and using motion controls (via swiping and pressing the projection in front of him) to select a new stage for himself. Of course, the screen made obvious that he could skip this step by making an appropriate voice command. After selecting an appropriate stage, if he chose one or stuck with the one he had, the projected screen in front of Donovan changed to a new one telling him that he would notice that he had now 'transformed' and that his clothing was now changed. The computer gave Donovan a few moments to register this as the screen on his Arm Computer changed to something like a status screen like those found in RPGs. It was then that the Arm Computer projected a new screen explaining that he was about to meet an AI character that would help him learn about how to use the functions of his Arm Computer.A few seconds after Donovan read the screen completely, the projection ended and the screen disappeared. It was then that something really odd took place. Out of the ground, a metre or two in front of Donovan, what seemed to be a comically large green 'pipe', like a overly large piece of plumbing pipe, phased into existence. It didn't look natural, that was for sure! In fact, it looked like something ripped out of a video game, straight from an ingame CGI movie. Whether Donovan would move closer to investigate or not didn't matter as a moment after the pipe appeared, he could hear a voice of a male shouting loudly echoing from deep down...in the pipe...whether it was.* "WHOA~!" came the male voice as something really really odd came out of the pipe! *A moment later, a figure emerged from the pipe...though from the look of it, they were shot out of it with some force as they somersaulted in the air several times before landing on their feet in front of the pipe...which strangely sank back into the ground without disturbing its surroundings. Donovan would have a few moments to take in the appearance of this strange figure, who was around half his height and overly stocky. In fact, it looked like...yes. this person was a small adult human...dwarf size human maybe. They were wearing a ridicuolous looking suit/armour thing that looked like padding one would wear to protect oneself from injuries while skating or blading. It looked really il-fiting but something told Donovan that this was not ordinary stuff. Especially the fact that the figure was wearing his own status screen on his chest!*
  2. Right! To all members of this RPG, you wanted to fill you in on a couple of things! 1. All Games Images accquired at the beginning of the RP start off at lvl. 1 except Chiyako's character which starts off at lv. 5. 2. In doing the tutorial battle, which Chiyako's character has no access to at the moment, all other characters will get an ability called 'Level Up' which boosts your powers temporarily so players can fight the more 'advanced' units. 3. Chiyako's character can unlock a similar ability later. Just not yet. 4. All Games Images have a level cap, which can be raised in plot important moments and scenarios decided by players.
  3. *It was only then that Cassandra realised that she had forgotten to introduce herself, which was considered normal manners or protocol. While she didn't usually care one way or another about niceities like that as she could ill afford them, there was something about Alez that made Cassie reconsider remaining unknown to her. It also helped that it was most likely the case that they would need to fight together soon so at least being on some grounds of familarity would be advantageous. Though for Cassandra, working alone had its benefits even if she didn't like it. For one, at least no one would seemingly care if she died and that she wouldn't have someone else's death on her conscience. Clearing her throat, she looked at Alez and started to speak.* "Alez...you said your name was? I apologise for not introducing myself earlier, I'm not actually used to doing so. Please excuse my rudness My name is Cassandra though you can call me any variation of that." Cassandra replied. "Now, as you were saying, you were suggesting you could track him down faster?" *Now Cassandra was wondering what the woman could mean by what she said. She looked human but by the sounds of it, this Alez might not be human. It didn't bother Cassandra one bit though, she wasn't really human herself...or mortal for that matter.*
  4. *Cassandra looked at the girl lowering her guard as the girl realised that Cassandra was not a threat. That was a good sign, as least she wouldn't have to fight again so soon. Cassandra felt she was going to need whatever energy she could have in reserve for what she suspected was up ahead. She hoped that her suspicions were wrong though, as she didn't think she could look after another life if she was forced into battle. Cassandra felt she had enough trouble looking after her own life, let along someone else's...not that her own life mattered. When Alez apologised about getting emotional over Sam's death, Cassandra just accepted it. What a strange reaction to a death of someone that was meant to be close to this one? Perhaps the girl was not telling her everything. It didn't bother Cassandra though, it was really none of her business and she wasn't about to pry into Alez for that.* "Don't worry about it, it's perfectly understandable." Cassandra replied, not asking Alez about her reaction or her suspicions. There was little time for that now. "But yes, we need to get to Mr Enron first so we can shut down their little operation." *While Cassandra wasn't exactly here for Mr Enron specifically, she knew that it would be a good thing to stop them as she got on with her investigations. Which reminded her...she wondered if what she was looking for had formed an Avatar yet? It was most likely the case they had and that was most likely what Mr Enron was communicating with.* "Yes, we can exchange information on the way. I'm here because I found out Mr Enron's been conscripted by some force to spread despair and misery the way they know how for their own benefit."
  5. *The person that was performing this servive for the Consortium was not amused. This Katsumi seemed to be someone with the mentality of a child, not that they particularly cared. It's not like they will meet them anyway, that was someone else's job. This person thanked their lucky stars as they were finding this person exasperating to deal with. Their parents always told them that they were most likely never going to marry but that didn't bother them one bit. They were not a child-friendly person anyway. If this Katsumi was what children were like, then this person would definitely never have any. The person on the other end did not particularly care for the 'fanservice' they were getting, even if it wasn't on purpose. They weren't interested and Katsumi did not seem legal anyway so any attraction was moot.* "Funnily enough, you will be riding a kind of limo. Think of it was a fancy all terrain variety of limo, still luxurious but practical." the person on the other end of the line said. This girl was not getting a company car at least, rather this person would be a bit pissed. She was just being esorted to one of the Consortium's Research and Testing facilities to so they could 'safely' see if this girl was capable of handling their new product. While the actual testing of a good amount of the GIs was done, there were still a few left needing a bit more tweaking. Especially since they were launching the 'Field Test' soon. "They'll be there in a minute or two. And don't worry about food, that will be provided at your new home. You can take personal belongings but no explosives. You will have plenty of those where you're going."
  6. *In the video file that Ruby noticed seemed to be some sort of video presentation for the Security Forces of MegaCity 2, run by the Dissidents who had splintered from MegaCity 1. In this presentation which was known as the 'Induction Video' by most and was made the the Consortium, much like most Arm Computer related technology. In the Induction Video, there was a representative from the Consortium with one of the high ranking officials of the Dissident Security Forces of MegaCity 2. It was quite a high production value video, it must be said with all the bells and whistles. Ruby could pick and choose what sections of the video he wanted to watch, much like a Blueray movie. In the video, the representative of the Consortium was talking about the HERO OS product and the related product, the Game Images (GIs for short). Now, if Ruby was up-to-date with his news, he would know that the Consortium had won a large government contract to help develop a new 'defense program' a year ago and it seemed from the video that this was the result. It appeared that this "Hero OS' update was in limited release for security and police personnel. From the sounds of it, this was not so much a live 'beta-test' where there were still bugs but a full release prodcut specifically made for the Security Forces, including police personnel. As the video continued, the various functions of the Hero OS were described and demonstrated. As it turns out, the Hero OS does a few things more than the ordinary OS that Arm Computers have. For example, the Geo-Location and 'Map' capabilities have been changed and modified to allow for real-time information on sighting of threats to be uploaded and tracked. In other words, if anything bad in MegaCity 2 happened, those with the HERO OS would get a notification on the threat, its location and its nature and be able to track it in real-time. Another example of the functionality of the Hero OS was access to a special 'App' Store, linked to the Game Images. It turned out that one could purchase special functionality and quality upgrades for the Arm Computer and the Game Images from this Store, which was unusual as most Arm Computers were not easily upgradable. Also, the video would speak of the Game Images or GIs for short. It seemed that the GIs were essentially kind of like a specialised 'loadout' or configuration that people could use to defend themselves with. It seemed to be some sort of advanced technological development that allowed for rapid deployment of armed units to react and respond to threats. There were limited live demostrations of the technology in the video, showing how the GIs functioned and what exactly they did. The operation of using the GI was quite easy, almost idiot-proof despite how mindbogglingly compelx the actual technology was. From the video, Ruby would learn the basics of how to use a Game Image and that there were more advanced tutorial features in the Hero OS product, under the How To Guide section in the OS GUI itself. It appeared to offer advanced simulations and helpful advice on how to use the OS and the GIs.* *In the text file however was something rather strange. Written in the text file were the following words...* And so...The God that Created the World was parted into pieces. By the Beings They Created, For the God They Wanted. Each of the Mighty Kingdoms took a piece, And made with it their own God in Their Own Image. But The Mighty Kingdoms would Find that Deicide is Rewarded With Death. Being Cast Away like Rubbish, The God that Created the World Cried. Their Cry, heard by the Universe, Ushered in the Final Judgement
  7. *Well, this wasn't exactly what the person what the other end was expecting. This person was certainly NOT acting like an ordinary person. If it was any of their business, which it wasn't, they would have asked if this person had some sort of brain damage. Hell, they wasn't even the person whose money was in the bank she had robbed and poor car she had exploded. They were just some employee in the Consortium's Communication Division, with the appropriate clearances who was making this call. Not that they cared whom this person on the other end was or what happened to them, they were just doing what they were told and were being appropriately compensated for their act. Anyway, this call had to continue and at the very least, give her the information she needed.* "Well, no. You do have many people interested to see you, but unfortunately, most of those people want you in jail or dead. Mostly because they're the people you've either robbed or whose property you've destroyed. Anyway, the purpose of this call is to inform you that we have an interesting proposal for you, if you accept it. We have this very interesting piece of technology ready and waiting for use but we would like to do some final testing. We would invite you to be the test subject for this technology, I think you would like it very much. After all, it involves blowing things up. Yes, a fun game where you get to blow things up. Now, if you would kindly accept this offer, we can 'politely' ask the authorities to leave you alone while we come to escort you to your new home." It would be obvious to Katsumi that these guys had some clout and would be able to force the authorities to lay off Katsumi for an indefinite amount of time, probably for as long as they found her useful. Though what was this game they were asking her to test?
  8. *Now David was attempting to hide himself on the other end of the room, behind one of the washing machines. Since his clothes were in the dryer, he wasn't 'decent' but naked. This wouldn't ordinarily be a problem if he was at home but he wasn't, he was in a workplace and having a girl come in the same room with him was strange. Anyway, he tried to keep calm and hidden on Alvina would not see him naked. As he hid behind the washing machine, hopefully out of Alvina's line of sight, he told her what he knew about what was going on. "Well, I put the clothes into the dryer, tried to start it but the display brought up an error code and started beeping. I don't have that model or brand of dryer at home so don't know what's wrong." He also did not where the manual was and if there was one, so he could not just get the manual and try to figure it out. Anyway, as he did, he could feel himself getting a bit more aroused since a cute girl had entered the room. This was odd as he would normally be too stressed to be horny. Now, this was probably more of the effects of the milk he drank earlier, apparently he was more effected by it than others.* *Cassandra was used to been treated with suspicion, even back in her 'home' universe which she created. She couldn't exactly blame the girl for being suspicious, if her reaction was anything to go by. It seemed the demon she killed was someone she had a relation with, not that it helped at the time. She wasn't about to hold a grudge against the girl for...holding a grudge against her for that reason. There was no point in that sort of thing, in Cassandra's mind. Sure, one might feel better hating and blaming someone else for a death of someone you care about but it didn't change the fact that they were dead. What Cassandra didn't know was that Alez only knew Sam for a few hours previous to her death and had some responsibility in getting her in this situation. Then again, even if she did know that, Cassandra would not be prepared to judge her. That was never her job, even as a creation god. Anyway, what point was there in judging Alez for what she did or did not do? It wasn't like her judgement was somehow binding on all or important in any way. Even as a creation god, her judgement on things didn't matter as much as mortals thought it did....that is, if mortals were interested in it in the first place. From her experience, mortals were primarily interested in finding rationalizations for what they believed already or what they sorely wanted to be true to fit in to other people whose beliefs matched their own or who seemed to accept them (regardless of anything else). Now, when Alez asked her what her purpose here was, it was a relatively simple answer. Alez had partly given her an easy response, in calling her a vigilante. Anyway, no one would believe her real story and how she wound up here.* "In a way, I guess I am a vilgilante." Cassandra answered simply. "I'm here to get some answers off Mr Enron, whom I assume you are here to see. They're been dealing with things beyond them and I'm afraid that might be the end of them."
  9. *Unfortunately for Katsumi, the HERO OS update she had received earlier, was different from what some others who received the HERO OS update would see. As she was actually a criminal living off the grid (so she thought) and off other people's money, she might have assumed that she were 'safe'. Unfortunately, the target of her latest robbery was a bank with which an executive of the Consortium used and who owned one of the cars she happened to explode. Seeing that it was THEIR money that she stole and their precious car they blew up, they had now got their attention. Unbeknowst to her and the population at large, the Consortium could track just about anyone that possessed a operating Arm Computer that used the facilities of the MegaCities to do their business. Given Katsumi's...prospensity to make things explode and steal funds from people, she had been on the watchlist of the Consortium for some time. They knew where she lived and could track her wherever she went, as long as she had a normal Arm Computer. Though she could be tracked with her Arm Computer, getting rid of it was no option. Doing that would essentially make it impossible for the Consortium to track her BUT since they contain all ID documents and proof of identity and citizenship, which is very important to have. If people are found without those kinds of documents like those handily stored on the Arm Computer...how could they prove they were from whatever City they were...or prove they weren't an 'Outsider'? Having no Arm Computer without some sort of ID was suicide as since...no one can prove who you are and if you exist, those with power could do anything with you. For Katsumi, she was about to learnt that lesson the hard way. The instant she picked up her Arm Computer, the communicator facility self launched and a new window opened. Much like Live Chat apps with webcams, one could normally see who was on the other side through their Arm Computer webcam...but in this case, Katsumi would see nothing. She would just hear a digitized voice.* "Hello Katsumi, I see you've been quite busy and quite naughty~ and unfortunately for you, time is running short. I advise you not to 'hang up' from this call." *The usual communicator facility functions, much like FaceTime and such apps, was much like using a phone and one could hang up and block callers from unknown numbers...usually. In this case, the Hang Up option was still there but if she tried it, Katsumi would get quite a nasty shock.* "We've been monitoring your...activities for quite some time and though, in the past, we have appreciated your acts for increasing demand for our construction services...we do not appreciate you stealing from our pockets. So...here's what's going to happen if you do nothing. In 5 minutes, MegaCity 2 Security Forces will reach your bunker and have been authorized to take you out with lethal and overwhelming force, a KOS (KILL ON SIGHT) Order in other words has been invoked against you. Now, we might be able to come to a...more pleasant resolution, particularly one that does not involve us cleaning your remains off our property. We have the ability to...rescind this Order but only if you decide to cooperate. You have 6 minutes to respond."
  10. *Cassandra watched as Alez seemed to be frightened by what she was doing and saw her drop Sam, who was starting to disintegrate and turn to face her. It was not Cassandra's intention to cause the poor girl more stress but she did need to clean her weapon and prepare herself for the next battle ahead. Perhaps she should have done something less frightening now that she thought about it but as always, insight from hindsight means little for that which has happened already. She could see that the girl looked rather downheartened as she saw her attacker's body had disintegrated completely. Now, it appeared that this girl and her attacker had a previous relationship of some sort though Cassandra could not be sure what. Not that it would have helped at the time, the Preta that the other was turned into would have killed this girl if or worse if she did nothing. So, no time or point for regret now. Now, as the girl seemed to understand that Cassandra was not going to attack her, the girl seeemed to want to talk. The girl asked her if she was part of Caelisia's troop. Now Cassandra was new to this universe and had not heard of this Caelisia but it didn't mean she could not find out. She had means to find such information out, which could just be basic intel for now.* "No, I am not part of Caelisia's Troop." Cassandra replied plainly but in a gentle voice. "Should I assume you might have some relation to them?"
  11. *Inside the video file, once Donovan decided to view it, was actually the same video that all Authority Security Force users of the Hero OS got upon getting it. It was known as the 'Induction Video' by most and was made the the Consortium, much like most Arm Computer related technology. It appeared to offer advanced simulations and helpful advice on how to use the OS and the GIs.* *The text file...was probably the oddest and more disconcerting bit of the update. Not only was the file encrypted and asked for a password...but the strange thing was that it gave a hint of the password in plain text. The password hint was 'Your daughter's name'. Inside the text file appeared to be a letter from someone, addressing Donovan by name. The letter said the following...* To Donovan, I would have loved to have done this in a less obtuse and mysterious manner but circumstances have prevented me from doing so, please accept my humble apologies for this. By now, you would be wondering how you have received this 'Hero OS' update and why tomorrow, you will receive your first Game Image at work tomorrow. Unfortunately, all I can say to you now is that you have been chosen by myself to partake in what I hope will be an ultimately fulfilling experience, one that will have drastic and major ramifications for Altech. There are those that would have me stay silent and do nothing in the face of what is and will occur and my conscience will not allow me stand by and do nothing. I cannot say much now, even though you must have many questions about this. What I can say is that you must trust and belief in yourself, no matter what happens after tomorrow. If all goes well, I will contact you again and perhaps be able to answer some of your questions. Name Redacted
  12. *Unfortunately for Alez, the assumption that there was 'something' left of Sam in that form that lay next to her was incorrect. There was nothing left of what was once the being known as Sam in that form, anything that could have been related to her was gone the moment the Preta semen concentration threshold was crossed...which was some time ago. Anything that made Sam 'Sam' such as her memories or personality was no longer there. Even evidence of a 'soul' was gone, replaced by a hole that could never be filled and that which Pretas aimed to satisfy. The curse of the Preta...to be forever in want of something and never to be satisfied no matter how much of it they had. Cassandra knew of that all too well, being well 'travelled' and seeing many worlds. Pretas were mere pests to demons though they were related and though mortals both feared and hate them, they could not deny a sickening similarity...both chasing their endless desires even to self destruction. Cassandra looked at the girl she 'saved', crying over the corpse of the demon she killed. She knew that there was no use trying to tell her that her friend was gone long before then, even if it was true. There was no use telling her 'saving' Sam was an impossibility as there was no 'Sam' there. There was no use telling this girl that 'the way things were supposed to turn out' was nothing but wishful thinking. The girl was obviously in no condition to be told such things and was most likely not interested in hearing what Cassandra had to say, even if it was the truth. So...what could Cassandra do? For the moment, Cassandra used her free hand to reach into a tool pouch on her waist and pulled out what seemed to be an ornate lighter. She opened the lighter, which self ignited and she brought it close to her bloodied blade. The blade seemed to catch on fire for an instant, the blood being burnt off and leaving the blade clean. She put the lighter back in her pouch and uttered a quiet prayer, causing her blade to de-materalize. It was then that the body that Alez was holding started to disintegrate into dust and then into nothing.*
  13. *While Alez was struggling with Sam on top of her, someone else had entered the room from the door to the right. Cassandra only took a glance at the sitation at hand and seemingly got the gist of it from just that. From her perspective, there was a bystander being attacked by another who had just been repeatedly raped by Pretas (and perhaps others) and was starting to turn. She could tell that the one on top was starting to turn into a Preta as the poor girl's stomach started to radically distend and her face started to warp strangely. Cassandra knew what she had to do immediately, separate the two and dispatch the one that was turning. Unfortunately for the girl that was turning, there was little that could be done for her. From Cassandra could see, quite an amount of Preta semen had been ingested by this girl in quite a short amount of time. Knowing the effects of Preta semen, she knew that the girl, as Alez would have known her, was gone. There was nothing left to save...only a new demon to dispatch. Seeing that Alez was tiring, 'Sam' stopped attacking her and raised her head to let out a feral cry of victory. 'Sam' even let go of Alez's arms and now was just on top of her, seemingly basking in victory as the girl continued to change. Cassandra, who was not that far from them at the back of the room, would have to act quickly...and fortunately that was one thing she did exceptionally well. Cassandra knew that she could cover the distance easily enough but the question for her was, could her weapons come fast enough when called for in this world? Well, one way to find out. With one powerful and precise stride, she lept into action and covered the distance between her and her target quietly, while issuing a whisper of a prayer. Before she landed a step or two behind her target, she felt the familar weight of one of her swords in her right hand as it started to rapidly materialize in this world. Quickly gripping it with her right hand, she thrust her right arm forward as the rest of the blade materialized into the world, being plunged straight through Sam's back...through the girl's heart with the tip of Cassandra's blade jutting out of Sam's chest. Sam's body seized up as the blade pierced her body and her heart, blood starting to slowly seep out of the wound in her back and front. The being who was once Sam barely let out a gurgle as the blade was quickly pulled out and her body fell to the side, fortunately not on top of poor Alez.*
  14. *Whether Alez was going to get out of this or not would depend on her ability to keep calm and focus on the task at hand, not exactly an easy thing to do when a crazed human female, smelling of sex, is wrestling with you for no apparent reason. Though Mr Enron would have loved to watch what would happen, he had another meeting to go to and a rather important one at that. If he was late for THAT meeting...goodness, was it just him or did the room just chill over a bit? He knew that he had to get going, they wouldn't want him to be late and tardiness wasn't exactly his style. In fact, he was always just a bit early to meetings even in his younger days. Oh goodness, how time flies. As Mr Enron walked towards the door to his left, he was tempted to look back at Alez and Sam. Even if just to leave a final taunt...but he decided against it. He was just going to dump them like the trash he thought they were. He quickly opened the door and closed it behind him and ran down the corridor, towards the very back where the meeting was...which was the place where Alez had found the computer earlier.* "My Yummies! yOu wOn'T hAvE tHem!" Sam managed to slur out as she continued to wrestle with Alez, getting slightly stronger as time went on. How?! Was...Was she changing?! And what into?
  15. *Unfortunately for Alez, as she closed in on Mr Enron who seemed to be alone, Mr Enron calmly rapped his knuckles of his right hand on the top of the desk and said the following. "Hey Sam, someone is here to take away your YUMMIES!" Mr Enron said as Alez closed in, pushing himself away from the desk using his feet. As he was sitting on one of those chairs with wheels, that wasn't hard to do. However, what happened next was going to be interesting. The instant Mr Enron pushed himself away from the desk, a naked figure arose from underneath the desk. It was Samantha, who looked a bit worse for wear and certainly smelt a bit sweaty. She didn't look relieved to see Alez and in fact did not seem to recognise Alez at all. In fact, she looked quite angrily at Alez, whom Mr Enron said was going to take away her precious YUMMIES. Speaking of yummies, Sam's face was dirtied by a fair amount of semen...as was her entire body but whose semen it was would be a mystery. It would be obvious to even Alez that Sam no longer recognised her as she said, "You! You're not taking away my YUMMIES!" Sam shouted at Alez in anger as she lunged at Alez with surprising speed and ferocity. "The yummies are mine, all mine! MINE!" Mr Enron could not help but laugh at this strange situation as he watched Sam attack her supposed best friend for his sake. Well, it wasn't for his sake...it was really the Preta cum that did the work and he reaped the benefits. Sam would attack Alez until either she or Alez couldn't fight anymore or Mr Enron intervened. He could just sit back and watch this amazing display. "Oh my, what a turn of events." Mr Enron said to no one in particular. "It appears Sam doesn't want to go back with you. Whatever shall you do?"
  16. *Mr Enron did not look surprised to see Alez appear seemingly out of thin air before him, holding some sort of sword at him. In fact, he didn't look that interested in Alez at all. He looked a bit preoocupied with something that was happening below his desk, which of course was in front of him. As it was one of those large office desks that had a backing to it, Alez would not be able to see what was underneath it. Though...from the sounds coming from underneath the desk, and Alez would be able to hear sounds coming from under the desk, it seemed that someone was under there. And the kind of sounds that where coming from under the desk, it sounded quite...slippery and wet? It certainly sounded like someone was sucking on..something down there. Of course, what Alez did not know was that Sam was underneath the desk sucking off Mr Enron for more of her ' yummies' and she was not in the mood to share. Strangely enough Mr Enron was keeping quite a poker face, despite being pleasured by Sam from under the desk. He just looked at Alez with the same kind of look one would give a particularly annoying insect or bug.* "Is that all you have to say?" Mr Enron asked Alez. "I thought you were going to give me a talking down to or some moralizing speech. Not that I care but I figured you might want to say something more before these demons here make a meal out of you." The three Pretas in the room, who were standing absent-mindedly in front of the desk before Mr Enron, turned to face Alez. They eyed Alez with their beady looking eyes for a few moments before letting out some sort of howl of delight. "LOokY LoOky, fResH mEaT! yUm yUmS!" they seeemed to say before they started their attack, running awkwardly towards her. Fortunately for Alez, they were weak demons and could be dispatched of relatively easily if she focussed and didn't get too frightened. While they could scratch and bite her and other things, that wasn't so much a threat as if they managed to pin her down...
  17. Hey Moehwa, I did look at the post. It was good though I don't currently have any characters spare to interact with them sorry.
  18. *Evelyn noticed that Alvina was seemingly startled by her turning up here, being so engrossed in her game on her phone. She wondered what kind of game that was, to engross someone so much that it would take their attention away. Evelyn hated to sound like a old crone but it was a bit disappointing that the younger generation seemingly couldn't keep alert and be attentive. Then again, why would they need to in such seeming peaceful times...well, at least in this place? Of course, the game might indeed be that engrossing. Evelyn did not know but she wasn't here to for that. "I'm just having a little walk around, it would be a bit sad if I stayed cooped up in my study all day. It looks to be a nice day, after all." Evelyn replied to Alvina. "As for the book, it's a recently published book of articles on the latest development of magical theory. I have to keep abreast of new developments in my field, even if I'm not doing active research at this current time." Evelyn said, as she showed her the book cover. "I only had this come in the other day and...apologies, I'm getting carried away!" Evelyn said to Alvina, realising that the girl wouldn't be that interested in the book. Meanwhile, in the laundry, David had successfully finished washing his clothes in the washing machine and was now just loading the dryer. He hoped that it wasn't going to take long to do as he was feeling a bit awkward wandering around the laundry without any clothes on. After he loaded the dryer, he tried to activate the dryer and was having trouble getting it to work. This was odd as it was seemingly a very simple thing to do. He scratched his head, wondering what was going on before he turned towards the door and shouted, "Umm..can anyone hear me out there? There's something wrong with the dryer, can't seem to get it to work."

  22. *As it would turn out, Alez was not the only one heading to Mr Enron's office. Though she would not be able to phase through walls like Alez, since she was just flesh and bones really, Cassandra found herself in the backrooms of the building again. While she did spot someone flying the sky earlier, she had no idea it was the same person she had bought time for earlier by her intervention. While Cassandra did not know that the girl she had helped earlier was coming back into the building, she was not actually there to help her out. In fact, Cassandra was here for a completely different reason. She was here to investigate more into Mr Enron and most likely deal with him in a most violent fashion. She had gotten enough intel off the various demons she had dispatched on her way here to have a good understanding of what Mr Enron was doing. It seemed that her earlier hypothesis that the DSS system was being handed out like candy by some central agency was not accurate. In fact, when she interrogated the demons she had encountered after beating the stuffing out of them, the intel they gave her suggested that perhaps another scenario was being played out...a scenario she was all too familiar with. From the admissions made by the demons she had beaten...and then proceeded to dispatch, these demons were being promised this planet as a new domain by a higher power. This was different from her original guess that humans in this world had discovered the DSS and tried to use it to gain power over one another. Unfortunately, no demon would reveal what higher power they were serving...being uncharacteristically afraid to mention them...even with death hanging over their heads. Needless to say, this worried Cassandra a fair bit. A threat that even cowed demons into blubbering messes. While she could think of quite a few things that might do just that, there were actually only a few beings or powers that would be able to take technology such as the DSS, which was not from this world or even perhaps time and then transplant it here.* I suppose you are under the impression that They Whom Represent Despair are here. echoed Helheim's voice in Cassandra's mind. It seems quite likely that they are here, this kind of activity is truly indicative of them. "How many times does that make it now?" Cassandra asked Helheim rhetorically, as they both knew that answer to that. "Truly, they are persistent evils." Persistence has nothing to do with that. You know as well as I do that they will exist and continue to do so for as long as sapients... "Don't remind me, please." Cassandra replied to Helheim quietly. As she made her way through the backrooms of the building, trying to keep out of the sight of the cameras, she noticed that there were no signs of any security guards here. It was a bit odd, given that Mr Enron was quite wealthy and not very well liked though feared. One would think that one such as Mr Enron would employ night watchmen here. Something was definitely wrong here and it wasn't just the fact that she could feel the presence of demons in the building. She could feel a small number of weak demons nearby, which didn't worry her. What worried her was that there was something else where those demons were and it certainly didn't feel...right.
  23. Hey nicjomo! Welcome to EcchiDreams! Hope you have a good time while you are here!
  24. As Alez investigated the phone, an overwhelming sense of dread came over her. She couldn't help but feel as though she had caused something terrible to happen when she came near that computer terminal in Mr. Enron's office building. She watched as the screen flickered along with the name under the glitched ap. She couldn't imagine what DDSS.exe could possibly refer to, but it was quite disturbing to see something like this here. She didn't know much about electronics, so she didn't have any particular ideas, she just knew the danger would be impossible. She could tell by the aura emanating from the phone that there was something demonic about it. Messing around with this too much was dangerous. Mother Caelisia had warned her not to forget her place. Yet, she couldn't just leave. What if Sam was in danger? She decided to continue searching the phone where she found the strange messages sent to Sam. "What is this...?" The words seemed to be some strange language, but it followed nothing of the grammatical rules of mortals. This only twisted the knot in her stomach tighter. Had someone summoned a demon to attack Sam? But why? She had done nothing wrong! Was it a preemptive strike to punish Alez out of suspicion? Alez bit her lip and stuffed the phone into her bag before taking a deep breath and calming herself down enough to transform into her ethereal form and fly back to Mr. Enron's building. She had to get answers about this phone and she had to know what Mr. Enron had been planning. Lady Caelisia was sending reinforcements to Mr. Enron's building. By now, the'd probably begun talking with the man. She couldn't just open the app. "D-don't worry, Sam, I'll help you...!" She spoke more so to encourage herself as she flew through the skies, invisible to the general public. After all, for all she knew Sam might have already been dead entirely. The best she could do was hope that wasn't the case and do what she could to bring her back. *What Alez did not know was that, at this very moment, the phone was sending a signal back to 'home' as she carried it with her. As she held it and investigated it, something was investigating her back through the camera lens. What Alez didn't know was the program was still active, after being remotely launched from Mr Enron's office. Alez was correct that Mr Enron did summon a demon on Sam in return from having his newest trinket stolen from him by the very person who 'gifted' him it. It quite infuriated him to fall for such a simple ruse by a young one and so he was going to get back at her by taking away her friend. Of course, if she wasn't her friend at all, it didn't really matter to Mr Enron. At least he'd have a new toy to play with and he could imagine in his head violating the one that wronged him. If she was indeed her friend, then...perhaps he'd get another for the price of one! It was good to get more than one bargained for. Now, as Alez flew back towards Mr Enron's building, the program on the phone was using the camera's features to scan the one holding on it...by using its unique feature set. As the program scanned her, it sent information back to the computer that remotely launched it, which was in the hands of Mr Enron. Now, Mr Enron was indeed checking out Alez as she was flying to him...though not in the way that one would expect. He was not so much trying to find out information out on her species or her skills but much more base...pleasures. Currently, Mr Enron was in one of the large conference rooms in the building. But he was not alone in there. In the room with him were...lowly demons called Preta, dwarf sized demons with distended stomachs, oddly shaped heads and scrawny arms and legs which were stronger than they looked. They were low level weak demons, considered to be pests. BUT they had one major use to people like Mr Enron...their semen, which was rather effective as a mind breaking device. Direct ingestion of Preta semen induces a state of psychosis in its victims, making them want more of it and things like it. The effect does scale with dosage and if enough is ingested...especially over short periods of time, the person's mind is effectively destroyed and the victim may too be transformed into a Preta, who would never stop desiring. Such a torment was reserved as an insult on beings that summoners didn't like very much. Fortunately for Sam, she had not been transformed into a Preta...but...her mind was indeed gone. She would not recongise Alez if she saw her and would think of her as someone who would want to steal her prized 'yummies'..whether it be out of a dog bowl, straight from the Preta or from Mr Enron's cock.*
