It's happened to me before as well, though in recent times someone I've interacted with has been pushing me to be more proactive in stories than reactive, so I've been making motions to throw myself into the deep ends rather than simply dipping the toes in the pool, so to speak. It may not always work out good for me, but it's all valuable experience in the end!2 points

My guy'd be slightly curious about the haunted mansion thing. Even if he might just wanna go there and then run off if it gets too spooky.2 points

Great! That is some good enthusiasm. I feel like a fair share of people just kind of stall quite a lot and overthink things (I certainly do a lot of that), when the most efficient and fast thing is just to try and take things as they come. I have also created the adventurers guild as well as the guildmaster.2 points

Hi! I'm very new to this, so please if you have any questions about anything I missed please don't be afraid to message! I will try to get to all of them as soon as I am able to! I prefer, soft sensual but rough and messy are are fun~ my rp style is very casual, fun, flirty. I love foreplay and teasing a lot~ With any kinks not listed in either liked or not liked are a bit iffy and depend on scenes/roles so please ask, just know I do have limits and might say no but will always hear out ideas!1 point
-
@Gardsorm your character seems fine with me. And I appreciate you not trying to get around having a mark on your character. (Cause I knoe plenty of people who would try that sort of thing. Like "i cant have a sigil cause im not a solid mass and such." ) @DreamsnThingsAnd yeah i dont limit species until it starts to get obsessively common. Like if 6 different people chose a slime for example and we only had like a handful of non-slimes. Then thats usually when I will start limiting slimes until other species are used. But tn we dont have enough characters to justify any limits.1 point
-
Oh slimes are allways fun! Im still in a toss up of what i wanted to play (classic furry options, lamia, slime, harpy, oni, etc)1 point

Thankfully, there did not appear to be anything that heard Abel making a ruckus in the dark sewer. One good part about the darkess being that anyone else down here would likely not be able to see him either. The foul smell would make it impossible for dogs to properly catch the scent and especially now as he reeked of sewage himself, so in a way this was camouflage. Horrible, stinky and nasty camouflage. There are no new noises either, which further indicates no trouble so far. Of course, any large animal down here would be a great pain to deal with as they are likely accustomed to the environment.1 point

Okay... This was good! Thankfully the pathway didn't feel too treacherous. At first each step was slow, planned, waiting several seconds before he took another, but once he felt confident in the path, his steps were quicker and more careless. He thought he had the whole path figured out, even with the occasional irregularity he believed he could find his way through the dark, labyrinthine sewers of the Lower-class District... Until he heard an audible thud as his foot collided with something. "... Ah? AH!? N-no... NOOOOOO-!" his shout resounded throughout the sewer before the splash happened. It was every bit as vile and disgusting as he1 point

At least it wasn't something crucial or at a crucial point, so better to get those out of the way in ways that has no significance or major impact. This doesn't really affect anything, so it is fine of course. I honestly just have an overall idea and the rest is pure improvisation. The plot builds as we go along rather than being a written beforehand. Do what? And you're welcome ^^1 point

You are free to have him have something basic to provide light. I am not really overly anal about what gear you may or may not have.1 point
-
With no sources of light for him to make use, the darkness soon makes moving about almost completely impossible. Thankfully there is a wall to lean towards, giving some sort of point to follow. Whilst this may be an overall decent strategy, it does not make up for any irregularities in the wall or anything that might make him stumble on the thin ledge he is walking on below. A few times he likely manages to react just in time and can keep his footing, but it is just a matter of before a large object blocks his next step and he falls face first into the vile, putrid and smelly sewage water below, making a splash that is easily heard far down t1 point

You expect quite a lot of help coming from the lower class district, which is known to be free of corruption, crime and lowlives1 point

Timmy in the well? That is indeed a start I would say. There is a world plot you can start off on or we can help her on an adventure together. I am pretty open to discuss stuff.1 point

Of course. I would not want to do that either. We can always do it at later time. It was merely just my current thoughts. Plus, any excuse to make silly scenes is always loved Admit it...it would be fucking hilarious1 point

I will try my best to give you something to do given your current situation. Remember...I am the GM and thus will always try to offer NPCs and situations that your characters can interact with. I would definitely suggest that you have some sort of idea what you wish to do going forward. I am also happy to give suggestions or inspiration. Now I kind of want to make a potential side kick of some sort xD Because I love to make funny duo shit1 point

The group of men do indeed wander through the various streets and even venturing beyond the lower class district and into the one with all of the schools, academies and guilds. There are about 3 guys in total who seems to know each other as they softly speak to one another as they walk closer towards their joined destination. They carry large weapons as well, indicating they are some heavy hitters and in generally must be pretty well built, strong and in their prime. GM: Please proceeed to the "Adventurers guild" topic. There wasn't too far down, making his fall not hurt very much, but mostly cause some temporary pain and discomf1 point

I think it's all cleared up for now! I did a little edit but the overall content of the post hasn't changed. Our elf friend is still currently faceplanted or else buttplanted at the bottom of the sewer.1 point

This just in, local elf spooks too easily. =p Hopefully that works for you? ^^1 point

The elf - if elf it is - climbs down into the hole. A strange city this, with holes in its roads and ladders down which to climb: perhaps there is a whole city under the ground? I am jostled from my astonished reverie by passing men - heavily armed and armoured, hurryiing by. And I hear the words "Adventurers' Guild": so that must be were one finds Adventures? With a last glance at the hole in the road, I hurry after them.1 point

I think this last one hit a nice amount of immersive details without going overboard or me having to fluff things out needlessly.1 point
-
The illuminating rays of the midday sun reaches into the hole, but gradually gives into the darkness that envelops the elf more and more the deeper he goes. Whilst one would expect a foul stench, it is still in a moderate intensity, the place taken into consideration. The ladder does still hold, but the metal creaks and whines slightly as weight is applied to it. Noises of dripping water, a few scurrying rodents and slightly stream of the sewer make up for most noise here, besides the ones generated by Abel. The sounds of footsteps on metal lightly echoes down the pipe further down.1 point

"Well, it didn't explode on me... I'll call that a win in my book!" Abel sighed, standing upright and smiling. A cursory glance to the left and right to see if anyone was looking at him was made (little did he know that behavior like this was casual for the Lower-class Districts. Maybe one day he'lllearn otherwise?). Unaware that he was being observed by another, he looked upon the ladder and climbed into the grate. "Past the guardsmen and past the bum, look out sewers, here I come..." Sparing a moment to snort at his own joke, he made his way down the ladder into the sewers below. Definitely not the first place he wanted to be, but if t1 point

My day is very laid back and easy for me as well. Probably will be making dinner in a moment though, but nothing complex by any means. I apologize if my posts lack a lot of details. Still an area I work on improving.1 point

Nothing bad appears to happen from the light and cautious poking and the grate is not even properly locked, making access downwards to the darkness of the sewers easy. There is also a ladder leading downwards as well, in case he intends to make his way into the hole. Luckily, the sort of district he is in, makes this a pretty normal occurence and he stands out very little to most who lives here, even if they were to bother keeping an eye on the man discerning the dangers of a standard sewer grate.1 point

A man sits on a bench - out f place because he is sitting still, and because he is talking to himself. Not a man, I think - is it an elf? I have heard of them but never seen one. Acting like a dog, though - sniffing at the ground, round a metal grate in the road. I watch cautiously, intrigued, from a distance.1 point

"Hello... What have we got here?" Abels' eyes practically lit up as he stopped stalking about and finally picked up something... Arguably a small magical signal, and leading underground? That seemed like the perfect means of taking children... Illusion magic was ingenious, but... Wasn't this a little on the low end? Abel was far and away not someone with immense magical talent, but even he could feel that something felt... Off? "Well... Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? If this leads to the kids... It's worth doing it." He nodded sagely, crouching near the grate and poking at it. Just because he could detect magic didn't mean he1 point

Totally in agreement there. I have plenty of fun and nice partners here who put up with my nagging when I see stuff I wish to discuss regarding roleplaying of course, I do try my best to adjust to any suggestions, needs and what not from my partners in return. Communication helps a whole lot to make sure things keep going well and smoothly. I appreciate that ^^ I particularly like to play shortstacks (as something may have hinted at ) and in general non-human ones. If you have suggestions for more NPCs, do let me know.1 point
-
Whilst talking to himself, everyone else around politely ignore it and leave him to his business, not really paying much attention to the elf to begin with. As he searches around for a faint magical trail, he finds a very diminiutive one near a grate leading into the sewers below. From what he can tell, the school of magic seems to be of the illusionary kind, but due to how weak it is, it could very well be of something else.1 point

Do not worry about. I am not sure if it has come across just yet, but I am pretty open and vocal if there is anything I feel needs to be adressed and such. So if I do have any sort of issues I will let you know for sure. Nothing more frustrating than walking in "limbo of doubt" so to speak. So we are good, trust me. Ohhh, thank you. I suppose my years of experiences does something interesting and fun. Are there any of my characters you like in particular?1 point

No one should expect you to play females and hopefully I have not at all insinuated that you should. Personality does not equal to gender. A woman be just as diverse in personality as men can be. What I mean by having various personalities, is stuff like making more meek females or tough and bratty ones or more socially distant. All sorts of ways their personalities can be and so can male characters.1 point

Fair point! :3 Heheh, indeed! Good ideas or bad, I'm all about them and seeing what happens, so without further ado, let me put these fingers to work on this dang phone and toss the goofball into the world!1 point

Oh that was fast! You're on the ball this morning. =p Well, in light of world plot, I think I'll throw Abel at it starting from the Lower Class District. The place he hangs out most and the origin of where the incidents started happening. I have no idea how it'll turn out but interested to see nonetheless.1 point
-
It looks pretty solid and fine for me ^^ I have done what I can to make things as simple as possible, so hopefully it is easy to get started for most people.1 point

Name: Abel Chillswell Age: 23 Race: Elf Personality: Abel is an outlier even among most of the forest elves he lived around growing up. Though born into a family with a caring and studious older brother, Abel turned out to be the problem child with far too much energy and not much to spend it on. He considers himself one of the most party-minded elves among his people, quick to join in celebrations and festivities or else try to organize them to put smiles on the faces of the masses. Growing up did little to make him grow out of his behaviors, but it did give him more of a sense of responsibility... To the point his as1 point

I am soon about to have lunch. Don't worry, I love my meals enough to not forget I do plan to make some posts soon after that, of course. Perhaps a good time to make the adventurers' guild and their job board?1 point

Awesome. I will look forward to see what you concoct. You are free to join anywhere you find him/her fitting of course.1 point

Welcome to consciousness! I actually woke up not too long ago myself, just getting my doofus' history and then I'll throw him to the wolves for seeing if he needs edits.1 point

I am an oldfag already and I am "just" 36 years old and some may consider me "cynical" I suppose! xD But yeah, people just like to be "special snowflakes" in various ways, one of them being way older....seemingly for no real reason. I mean, I can see it if you did some REALLY high level magic and even then it ought to be fucking hard to do and expensive!1 point
-
I am always a fan of not making "stereotypes" - at least exclusively. So I am definitely happy to see variety within any sort of character. I personally dislike how a lot of people have an idea that the general depiction of and other assumptions of various races and cultures need to be. For instance, I have never liked how races arbitrarily live longer. Hence why I made everyone have the same lifespan.1 point

Think I missed the NPC thread, let me go take a look... Ah, more personality wise! A lot of the time Elves are normally portrayed as... I guess haughty, higher-than-thou, stuffy, ect. Some are usually more sympathetic, and in other circles elves exist for lewding. I guess I kind of just wanted to make a more outgoing, overeager energetic type who wants to be a hero, but tends to be held back by his easygoing, carefree, and sometimes mischievous ways, if that works. ^^;1 point

Name: Molly "Megaton" Clunkz Age: 23 Race: Goblin Personality: Mostly focused on having fun or making coin, loves EXPLOSIONS. Shit at focusing on anything too long, beyond her crafting or setting up bombs Background: The gobbo sapper has always been a wild child, even among her tribe. She was way too hyper and all over the place, until she found a proper outlet for her need for action and such - making bombs. She started off with minor stuff, like minor fireworks and over time became very proficient and good at her craft. Of course, newer and bigger and better stuff still requires some experimentation and research, but she loves to do1 point

Appreciated. I'll see how whatever simple or silly idea in the ol' noggin manages to look once I get it out of there and onto a post.1 point

I am more than happy to start off something with you once you create something - either with a character or an NPC.1 point

Oh. I hope you didn't take it in a negative fashion. I mostly just wanted to welcome you. Sure thing.1 point

I can RP both as a femsub or femdom. I am open to experimentation so if something isn't specifically mentioned as something I won't do, ask me about it first and maybe we can try it in RP.1 point

This isn't currently possible under the current IPS Framework, but I will add it as a suggestion for the framework that we're developing. Also, apologies for the very late response.1 point
