SataiRolePlayingGuy Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Another night, another search. It had been quiet for a while, but when you grew up fighting monsters since you were a little girl, you could never relax for long. Jumi was on the lookout again. She was on the edge of town. The rest of her team were investigating the other sides. Being alone was risky. Jumi knew as a well as anyone that they might not take her life if they overpowered her. Hurt her. Violate her. Break her. These were all things they might try to do to her. She was the ‘Rose Fairy’. She could not exactly fly, not long term at least, but she could create wings of light that allowed her to hover, almost walk in the sky for short bits of time. She was doing so now. But between the night and terrain, it was hard to see. A rocky forested area was just outside of town. There were any number of places to hide in there. She took a risk. A place she had to search. The site of an old battle, ruins of an old demon temple. There was still magic in the area. She had to make sure there were no signs of recent or current use. She blew past the trees on the way, looking as best she could for anything that did not belong. Living up to her name, she would look much like a fairy to anything that saw her. 1
BladeRunner Posted May 22 Posted May 22 The chance one would get to visit the Human realm was a rare one, but the chance to live amongst them was even rarer. In the midst of night walked an lone figure. It carried or rather dragged something, it's form concealed in in a black robe decorated with gold accents and designs etched upon the cloth. Not far now. These old demonic ruins hold a special power one must achieve, abd the relics, even better as a collectors item or greater yet; to be used in battle. The figure moved leisurely, almost as of itbwas taking its own time as it was nearing the edge of he ruins. Of course most knights and sorceresses were weary of the very area of ancient battle and would patrol them to prevent catastrophe, other forces like demons, daemons, devils, monsters and other entities sought out the ruins like this one to achieve some sinister goal. But for this robed stranger? It was none of those things. Upon reaching the ruins, the figure dropped the handle of a large carriage of sorts that was covered in a pitched tarp to protect the interior. It sighed, looking around abd decided to raise a hand upward. There was no need since he had night vision, but it was better to illuminate the area for... Potential competition. After making sure he was alone, the figure withdrew the hood revealing white hair and a completely bandaged face and neck. And after yet another moment, from his freehand formed an orange glow of an orb, no bigger than his head and was as dim as a large candle even flickering as such. Sighing did the stranger set the orb in a particular space of air, sending it about eight feet above his position. Now it was time to feast! The stranger opened a portion of the pitched tarp that acted as a door to the wagon, pulling out something seemingly steaming and made of silver. He sat down on a soft bed of moss, opening the foil over the silver ocal to reveal a massive rack of ribs with several other sides. He grunted, excited, famished. Hell have to hunt relics later. And yet even though the stranger wasn't aware of the nearby sorceress nearby, his energy could be felt. It was something suppressed on purpose to that of a bird, however it didn't feel malevolent, no. This energy was oddly overwhelming and primordial, something of a voracious and vicarious nature. 1
SataiRolePlayingGuy Posted May 25 Author Posted May 25 Jumi stopped as she approached the ruins. A strange presence. Unlike any demon or monsters she had sensed in the past. Certainly not an ally either. Was it an enemy? It might just have something strange, but natural. Something similar to the Guardian Beasts? One supposedly had its territory in the area. She lowered herself as she approached the edge of the ruins. Holding her rod. Scanning the surroundings. The figure was close. She was on guard. Uncertain if it was hostile or not, she did not hide her approach. But she was on guard, watching and sensing for surprise attacks. 1
