Origin Story: 
Not much is known about the subject, alias Beat Down, dubbed by the Chicago Tribune as the Soulless Juggernaut. What little information he has provided suggests he was an intelligent young man that was born larger than average and possessing of great strength. Unfortunately, with the accelerating number of strong and powerful Valors and Viles across the world, this has not whittled down his potential birth identity, which he refuses to provide. While such individuals are known to first experience violent outbursts due to bullying in their school years, Beat Down has confessed to his first violent act upon a human being upon a particular classmate that was neither particularly mean nor kind. He had followed them off the bus, and though the student had grown suspicious enough to accelerate their walking speed, the young Beat Down swiftly overcame and knocked them unconscious. He dragged the student to the woods where he proceeded to break their individual limbs before finally smashing their face in with a rock. When asked what happened to the body he refused to elaborate. No records of a discovered body in any forest matching the brutal murder method of a child have been found.

In high school Beat Down began to realize his apathy was unnatural. He attempted to imbibe drugs and alcohol, as well as other chemical means to feel anything, but found nothing. While continuing his occasional murderous experiments, primarily on strangers so as to reduce the likelihood of the crime being traced back, he began to instead focus on creating his own chemical drug compounds and injecting them into himself. It was in this period he discovered the chemical concoction that would serve as the basis for his suit, pumping even greater strength into his muscles and increasing his size further. He is unwilling to discuss his time after high school, though it would seem he primarily lived "underground" as a mercenary for different criminal organizations. The decision to go on a rampage in Chicago was one born not of frustration, but a simple observation that the only time he felt anything resembling excitement was when he was murdering someone, witnessing the fear, pain, and desperation in their eyes and hearing it in their cries. In other words, the murder of over a dozen civilians and eight law enforcement, in addition to three dozen injuries, was nothing more than an experiment to him.

After an eight month rampage he was finally brought down to his knees via psychic powers. Thanks to the collaboration of various psychic Valors, a machine has been built to keep Beat Down suspended in stasis, where we continue to monitor, probe, and study him.

Personality: Highly intelligent, curious, but apathetic in the most true sense of the word. He has never experienced love, excitement, nervousness, fear, or any other standard emotion felt by a healthy human mind and heart. The only instance he feels something remotely approaching these things is when witnessing the terror in someone as they are about to die, or the occasional instance in which he feared for his own life, brief as those moments were. Despite his visage and brutal tendencies, he is not a brute. If anything, his calculating nature is what makes him both valuable as a potential asset and yet highly dangerous.
