I went with The Apprentice as that makes the most sense given his background as a musician pretty much requires him to have been training for so long and did especially with the former Thane son before he was freed and sent to Europe to further train and learn his craft.

I added the Gunfighter distinction to really finish up the concept I've gone with.

In terms of relationships atm for Kojo:

@MagnificentBastard Both are working men, and Kojo appreciates the ability to play someone a little less stiff than the theater. Kojo at least trusts Edmund enough to work with him and join the occasional card game or share a beer even if they're not friends. He's not all bothered by Edmund's darker reputation given his own rumors and well...dealing with The Other World. The statement I have is "I can work with him just fine." at current.

@Chiyako He understands being subject to rumor, and being looked at as something a little less than human by supposedly "good" men even if he feels he deserves it far more than she likely does.  Its a small measure of connection and sympathy but obviously he probably wouldn't bother initially...its just a curiosity.  Statement wise I've got "I am curious about her story." at current.

@WickedCadrach He's interested in her performances and she seems to have a pretty magnetic personality. He isn't sure if she's entirely trustworthy but its hard for him not to think about her and wonder I've chosen to step up Fishers particular dice to D6 if that's alright given they might have a little more in common. He might have a habit of stopping by to watch her work when he's not working himself "I can't help but wonder what else she's about." if that alright.

@StarlitSiren Likely comes in to the shop to help get some of the theaters equipment repaired. He respect she's not too social, but he does acknowledge she clearly does good work. The craft is important and being good at ones chosen craft is something he very much understands in whole. I've got "I respect her craftsmanship and dedication." for her.

I think I'm going to rewrite newly revamped thoughts now towards other characters. At least for the moment, and I'll update them as things should be updated.

Mostly because all the cool kids are doing it!

@AsBloodTurnsEverCold That works well enough to me! As I kind of touched on before, I think Alicia would consider him to be somewhat similar to herself in a way: a person plagued by rumours, regardless of whether or not they are true. Something which they might be able to form a link over, and something she might use to try to explore that possibility a bit, partially out of sheer curiosity and perhaps also because she feels it might give her a chance to find someone who isn't going to be outright hostile towards her. I think I'll end up using "I want to discover if we are kin.", since it fits her best thoughts towards Kojo.

@MagnificentBastard I think I explained this connection well enough before. Edmund is, according to everything she knows, very flirtatious. Extroverted. A lady killer, of sorts. Everything she knows she is weak against. Maybe Alicia attempts flirtations of her owns at time, and teasing, but she is most definitely a glass cannon, and she knows it. But they could also be rumors, and she knows the powers of rumors. It requires investigation, albeit with great care taken to avoid falling for anything that might otherwise lead her astray from her endeavors. For that reason she finds Edmund someone to be wary of, but not someone she will completely attempt to avoid. I'll end up using "I must be cautious of him.".

@WickedCadrach To Alicia I think Missy would normally represent the spookier supernatural aspects normally found opposite of science, given her reputation for spooky shows and all. A part of Alicia would understand that it is probably fake, if only because scientifically it doesn't make much sense to be real. But then Alicia herself is an abnormality, something that others consider to be within the realm of spooky supernatural. She can explain that stuff away for the most part because she understands much of the science which makes it real. But it would make her curious as to how much of Missy's shows are simply misunderstood science. It would make her curious to find out more.  And it ties in heavily to the thing she holds most dear: knowledge and the truth. I think for their connection I'll end up using "I need to discover what she really is.".

@StarlitSiren I have kind of already gone over this, but I am kind of cementing everything here in one post. Millie Gerenhart is, to Alicia, academic kin. Perhaps not quite tied to the same fields as one another, but Alicia would consider to be at least somewhat a woman of science. Someone like-minded. And probably the person she feels closest to as things are currently established. Definitely someone she is curious about and wishes to learn more about. Perhaps someone she wants to test. I'll end up using "I must work with her.".

I hope I am doing it right this time!

I decided to go ahead with Rebel for Missy's Youth. Traveling with Clarence Whitty and running cons day after day cultivated this feeling of 'it's us versus the world'. After her break from Clarence, that became 'it's just me against everybody'. Partly because of the raw deal life handed her before she met Professor Whitty and partly because she herself has spent years lying and stealing, she holds a deeply seated belief that, on some level, everyone is out to lie and steal from her too.

I bumped Velvet Voice to a d6, added Snake oil Salesman (obviously), and locked in that Relationship bump with Millie that I mentioned before.

Outsider

Millie never fit in with the high life, or with her family's idea of 'normal'. She masked the best she could, which wasn't well, but felt most at home when she could fall into isolation away from her community, learning and pushing her hobby ever further.

Distinction tinkerer step up to d8 (twice).

I've also stepped up the Missy relationship to d6. @WickedCadrach, i love your reasoning. In Millie's case, I think it's more that you'll be the one she most knows due to the mix ups and that something else.

I think that one kind of fits perfectly. The only chance I could possibly see is if we wanted to fit it into the more erotic aspect of this game with the limits with some sort of 'in heat' side effect of the tonic working overdrive on her body. But it probably wouldn't even need that either. Or tie it more into her 'totally-not-a-Vampire-but-she-seems-kind-of-like-a-Vampire' status. Maybe an effect it has gives rise to something which outsiders could point towards and say 'look she is totally a Vampire because X!'. But I don't know precisely what something like that might be. An otherworldly glow to her already unnatural gaze? Excessive blood production which leaks out from her mouth from time to time and makes others think she's been consuming other people's blood? Nails grow longer and more claw-like? Teeth grow longer and pointier? I don't know how I would quite work that into the mechanics of the game either.

Alicia is all set for Step 2!

Step 3 begins with:

Draw an arrow from any circle or diamond to another circle, diamond, or square.

This time you can link ANY NPC or Location to any other NPC, Location, or Player Character. You don't need the approval of the person who created either item, just find something that sounds dramatically interesting and link away. Make it problematic, make it adversarial, make it suspicious or challenging... make it uncomfortable.

The game runs on drama. Boring connections don't add anything dramatic to the story. Add something that will fuel dramatic tension. Put someone in someone elses' debt, make someone madly in love with someone else, make it FUN!

I put in the following connection between Jane Montgomery and Kojo: "Wishes very much to properly meet him!". It made sense to me since she visits the Thane-Cash Rebirth Hall to relax that Kojo's music might perhaps play a big factor in that. She might be a big fan of his and yet, for some reason, has yet to properly sit down and engage with him. She could be a big fan, if not potentially more?

Definitely! You could even spice it up with something like "dreams of meeting him and spending the night" or something else spicy!

I love this part of world building. You all are giving me so much to work with here.

This is why I said my job as the GM isn't so hard. By the time we're done, I'll barely have to plot at all... we'll have so much going on that everyone will want to jump right in and push all the buttons and pull all the levers you're creating.
