  1. --------------------location----------------- kalath Thump, thump, thump. She could feel her heart racing at what possibly could be happening at the end of her travels down within the basement. Her mind always going to worst of possibilities, which is why she had rushed, it wasn't doubt in Rayvenne’s ability, but more so her concern in the woman’s well-being that lifts her feet into irrational movement. Perhaps a bit reckless considering she didn’t know the situation beforehand and it could’ve led to her getting harmed- but she had her own skills and strengths, thus she didn’t doubt her ability too much to take down whatever this was. However, it seemed it twists its attention within Alice’s direction and decides to cause disruption, but before it could cause any inflictions upon her – Rayvenne is on the move. Like a predator pouncing its prey, she is successful in pinning the little green critter to the basement’s floor. In a moment of daze realizing Rayvenne hadn’t been harmed and was completely fine, she’d freeze examining the situation. So it wasn’t that big of a deal, huh? A nervous laugh escapes her lips when the woman decides to acknowledge her presence, breaking the momentary silence, “Right!” Of course, she’d get some rope from her travel-pack, it held essentials for surviving the wilderness, so a rope was no big deal to obtain. “Here!” Complete compliance with the demand gives Rayvenne exactly what she wanted to hold that little guy in place securely, “I wonder…where did he come from?” There is a tap to her chin in thought, how did he manage to get inside of the basement without anyone noticing his entry? “Must be an opening down here somewhere, right?” Or teleportation magic!
  2. ===================================== kalath “I admire your generosity.” After-all, not many people had it, including herself – while she did acts that risk herself in order to protect other people, she wasn’t on the level of Luna. She could see why Rayvenne was very protective of the bunny now. However, gradually the evening was leaning towards night and their adventure within the market had come to its conclusion. “I should pay for a room--” The woman concludes- a yawn escaping her lips, they would probably get up early in the morning to go towards the mountains to confront the Dragon up there. Though as soon as they entered within the Inn commotion from the basement catches her attention, the question Luna had was left in the dust when Alice doesn’t hesitate to perhaps intrude upon Rayvenne’s encounter down below, while it was something Rayvenne could more than likely handle on her own, taking that chance was risking her life and whoever was here. Or perhaps it was Alice’s trauma that made her react the way she did because she believed not acting was worse than acting, while it wasn’t her business- she wouldn’t allow the woman to risk herself without assisting in her someway. Alice doesn’t make it halfway down the basement steps before she is practically leaping off them and thudding against the basement floor, dress flying up, sword gripped in hand, seemingly prepared for whatever was happening. She didn’t even bother to ask and acted on instinct rather than logical sense in hopes of preventing any calamity.
  3. ================================== location: kalath How long had it been since someone, so kind fell into her lap? She didn’t see many people selfishly giving their services to the people. Herself included, she had charged for defending villages and people alike, she was greedy—Luna put her to shame. Though the situation also makes her reminisce about the past, a girl of similar talents, mainly healing- was as kind. She saw so much of her in Luna that it almost hurt, they had different personalities, but held to the same sentiments and believes when it came down to their healing. Alice had once asked why she gave it for free when it could give her wealth and the little White Mage just shook her head at the thought; “Helping people is my purpose, Alice. It’s why I’m a healer.” So the woman just stared at Luna vacantly and her aid momentarily, lost in her own thoughts and memories, 'I wonder if they’re around the same age too?' She questions herself in thought, continuing to stare hopelessly at the similarity of someone she’s lost. Up until one of the elderly approaching Luna’s free check-up had almost stumbled across the ground, Alice immediately pushing herself up from her past and seat to aid them from falling – quickly her arms go underneath the woman to keep her balanced, she figured falling would do more harm than actual good to the woman. She looked sickly and fragile, like someone easily broken by a stone. “Oh. Thank you.” Cough, the old woman remains standing thanks to her shift movement, “No problem! Luna, we have one more.” Alice would aim to help and guide her to Luna’s healing palms, where her malnourished frame and ghastly pale skin would begin to look more flourished than before, though the woman probably needed more than just a healing palm to truly get her back onto her feet, but for now, that seemed to help her weak-body from completely collapsing. Alice would release the elderly woman now into Luna’s care – going back to watching over the market place, she’d glance off towards its edge, sort of whispering to herself, “It’s been two years, huh?” Then there is a shake and her composure would return, “Keep up the good work, Luna!” Her thumb would push up into the air, praising her deeds and allowing the healer to continue her duties.
  4. ==================== location: kalath “Well, hey there Lucky!” She’d greet while watching Luna interact with her small horse and wagon filled with probably her materials. Either way, that didn’t seem to bother her, thus she’d follow the two to the market, where Luna’s wagon would transform into a venturing stand for sales! Too be honest, it wasn’t too much of a surprise her, she expected the woman to sell her works to make a living, they had already discussed prior. “So I was right, you already sell your creations.” A smile comes to the woman’s lips, “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure everything goes right.” The two didn’t seem very intimidating to the crowd probably, Luna was small, and Alice was approachable, holding to a large smile amidst the group that would probably glance and grander at Luna’s wares. She’d take a seat by the horse, not interfering with Luna’s business. Though she’d keep her eyes out for anyone of suspicious nature, even while it was a small and seemingly quiet town, she knows first-hand how quick the atmosphere and situation could change, it was like a blink of an eye that things could go wrong. “Free check ups huh?” That was kind, she wasn’t charging for medical treatment like many others did, though they were doctors for a living- so it’s kind of made sense they’d charge. To her though, personally- medical treatments like this should’ve been free, so people didn’t have to worry or fret over dying because they didn’t have the proper coin-purse to give. "That's kind of you, Luna."
  5. =============================== Kalath Alice would raise her hands in jest at Rayvenne’s look to give an “I’m not doing anything” gesture, before allowing Luna and Rayvenne to take care of their own business. Of course, the woman is content listening to Luna’s praise – she appreciated when others recognized her hard work in keeping people safe, she didn’t particularly like being suspected of ill-will, but it was to be expected. Most people wanted something and while she did want something, it wasn’t from them at all. Eventually, she’ll gain what she wanted to help this gem’s restlessness, “Thank you, Luna. I appreciate the acknowledgment.” But the job usually didn’t come with it a lot, though when Luna decides to head to the market, she’ll trail along with her to see what the market here was like or had in store for them. “What are you looking for Luna?” Perhaps some ingredients for one of her potions or experiments? Though she’d glance around at the vendors to see what they were selling, while following along with the bunny, while this place was safe enough – they couldn’t be too sure. Alice assumes Rayvenne would join them shortly anyways, regardless- she wouldn’t let Luna wonder off alone and kept to her side for now, “This place isn’t too big luckily.” So traveling to the market didn’t take but a few steps away from the inn/tavern, “Well, nothing like the capital, right?”
  6. ===================================== Kalath Alice would eat the last piece of soaked bread, before drinking up the remains of the soup, a satisfying sigh escaping her lips. It sure did hit the spot, “That was so good, I’ll definitely drop by again sometime in the future for another taste.” A nod to confirm her intentions towards what she could assume to be the owner of this fine establishment, “Well, of course, these things are cataloged, but I don’t really read those things.” She’d admit, perhaps it wasn’t wise to go in blind, though the girl liked to be surprised when it came to monsters, figuring out the weaknesses and the like during battle made it feel more accomplished when she won. However, she is surprised when Rayvenne confesses to killing one or two, “Solo too, huh? You must be really strong and capable.” Made sense then for her to travel alone more than naught, “You’re in good hands then, Luna!” But the fact remained that she hadn’t ever run into one, “We used to guard villages on the outskirt of the lands from monster invasions, Dragons are more secluded, aren’t they? Makes sense that I wouldn’t run into them in that case.” We, whoops, she should’ve said her- she doesn’t catch the slip until later, “I mean me, I’m sure the adventurer’s guild has some that run into some or it wouldn’t be databased.” There is a smile before she pushes onto another subject, Luna’s parents! “Oh, they did!? That’s cool, it’d be great if our parents worked together a long time ago. Then this meeting surely would be fate!” Though the friends comment catches her off guard, but it wasn’t something unexpected, especially from the very optimistic mage herself, “Yeah. Can’t have too many friends.” Something she didn’t really want to encourage, but she didn’t want to upset her either, “Feral, hm? Well, I mean, Rayvenne might be right, Luna. Though we can give it a try still, just don’t get your hopes up, okay?”
  7. ====================================================== [ Location: Kalath ] All eyes were on Rayvenne for the ultimate decision, would she allow Alice to accompany them? After all, it was sudden and the two seemed to have problems with maybe previous encounters with other human beings of the greedy nature. Not like she wasn’t greedy herself, it was human nature unfortunately to want more than what you should have, but she wasn’t overbearingly tainted like that, neither were the two before her it seemed. The woman’s fingers fiddle in anticipation of Rayvenne and Luna’s decision. Then Rayvenne’s lips finally departed to give them both words of her final decision, alongside well-intended warning, something she would expect of adventurers that had been caught in terrible situations, she was someone who could relate to that sort of thing, “You’re really the best, Rayvenne!” The woman would praise, not even flinching towards the threat, as if it didn’t really bother her much – because it didn’t. She expected people to retaliate if something bad went down, it was only common sense that Rayvenne would attack and press her if she turned out to be the scum of the world, “I expect nothing less!” Full on in agreement, surrendering to the likes of Rayvenne’s will in seconds, “I’m Alice Harper from the Adventurer’s guild. I’m not that impressive yet, but surely I’ll get there.” A grin accompanies her words as she felt confident she could continue to rise through the ranks, though it would be rather difficult to accomplish, she wouldn’t give up on trying to become stronger than she was now to bring forth her own dreams and goals. “A monster hunter huh? Freelancin’ too. That must be rough, at least the Adventurer’s guild has a gathering for larger beasts of the realm, but you are out here alone trying to take them down.” It was remarkable in her opinion, but it was also foolish and reckless to her too, because she remembers the dreadful terror she had been forced to endure a year ago and that was multiple people together fighting one dangerous creature. But then she had Luna too? So she wasn’t exactly alone, “Have you two known each other for long?” Rayvenne gave off the protective motherly nature, but it might’ve been for the sake of her job that she was so protective, though the woman didn’t really know that. So she could only speculate that Rayvenne held a fond attachment to Luna that made her risk herself to protect her through the thick and thin. The woman would go back to dipping her warm and freshly brewed bread into the still steaming soup, “You are very kind, Luna!” She’d exclaim directly after the girl’s own high-pitch tone of reassurance, while the was nothing wrong with giving chances, she needed to be careful about that too. Luckily, she had Rayvenne to see through the bad and good, “I’m glad for the chance to show you I’m not evil.” A jest over the earlier conversation of warnings, “So Rayvenne have you ever seen a Dragon first hand? What are they like?” Abit curious since she’s never come across one and they would eventually meet one face-to-face, that made goosebumps cross over her skin – such excitement being held within momentarily, she couldn’t wait to see what they were like, “Thank you for the warm welcoming, Luna.”
  8. ====================================================== [ Location: Kalath ] Rayvenne was someone of few words, it was evident by her not being as talkative as the two, but it wasn’t a bad thing. It meant she was far more observant in that case, she believes? From speaking with her and watching her body-language it felt like she was sage of experience. Some type of war-veteran, that made Alice want to see her in action. But she could’ve been over analyzing, she had a habit of allowing her imagination to run wild and suspects Luna was probably the same-way. Though she couldn’t help to notice the lonely and empty atmosphere left behind when the last customer outside of them had gone, then again it was getting late and it was probably slow business hours. Another munch of her bread as she listened to what Luna had to say, “A dragon?” Now that was huge, “Aren’t those extinct or something?” She’s only heard about them in stories and myths – seeing one up close would be very exciting! These two sure as heck had big ambitions, “Dragons are usually depicted as antagonist in stories, but I feel even in those stories, they’re more misunderstood than actually evil.” So trying to communicate with one was a more reasonable course of action, “I can’t say for certain one will attack or even be evil. Never met one.” Thus this’d be interesting, “So I would definitely like to see one or go with you, please Rayvenne!” The woman would then plead, “If things go badly, you’ll have one more person to back you up! I imagine Dragon’s are very powerful after-all!” Though she didn’t mind sharing parts, the monsters usually went in packs, “Of course, sharing is caring!” She’d conclude on Luna’s conditions, “I only take out those of evil intent anyways.” However, humanoid monsters were more lonesome, just because of how powerful they were to hide within society among the people allowed them to be less of a pack-rat.
  9. ====================================================== [ Location: Kalath ] Suspicion was fine, she’d think the same, trusting a stranger was like asking someone to stab your party in the back. However, what she wanted they couldn’t really provide, regardless of the monsters she might find on the trip would suffice for payback at the Adventurer’s guild. She only needed proof of the hunting and conquering, so she’d be fine on that front, especially with her reputation there. Though she wouldn’t really have any reason to stab either of these two unless they were monsters in disguise, her first thought that Luna was- but her personality has completely put her off that idea. In any case, if they both did turn out to be evil, she was confident enough that she could fend them off or die trying. “Well, what I want neither if you can provide." Or could they? But she felt like neither of them were monsters, “So for you it’s free but for me, it is not.” Because to slay monsters she would need to put in work, now wouldn’t she? “I just want to kill off anything that comes at you with ill-intent in the wilderness, that’s all. I don’t think that’s too much trouble on you and her, is it? Unless. . .. you’re wanting the monsters, then I’ll pay for them. Or at least get half of their remains. Either works.” Then when Luna offers the seat beside her, Alice would immediately sit down directly there, waving to the woman that had returned with the meal itself. “Thank you! Smells wonderful.” She’d praise, while gripping onto the spoon – trailing back to Luna’s conversation on the formulas, which made sense to her, “Maybe when I need something someday, I’ll look your way.” For now – all she needed was this dreadful gem that embedded itself selfishly into her chest, using her body for its power consumption. Honestly, she had no idea what would happen in the end, would this thing end up killing her? There is a shake of her head because it wasn’t the time to think of negativity, she was conducting ‘business’. “I agree, you shouldn’t give out your formulas, they’re precious. You’d be very important for an adventuring party; healing potions are expensive. You could probably make tons of gold coins from those too- try selling some in the market place!” Though the girl probably already did that since she could pay for someone to be her bodyguard. “You probably already do that though, huh? I shouldn’t give advice that you’re probably already working on!” She’d return to diving into the soup and bread, a satisfying hum escaping her lips as she continues – munching away on the food given to her. Some slurping is made when she decides to drink some of the broth, “Delicious. Probably worth more than three coppers!” The girl would complement, “Oh, I did talk a lot there didn’t, I? Do you have any more inquiries?”
  10. ====================================================== [ Location: Kalath ] ======================================================= It seemed meals here weren’t as expensive as those in the big cities, but it was to be expected, it was smaller in size and population. Though she’d happily pop out the copper for him to take in full, “Thank you ha—” Before she could flirt or give in to her natural habit of such a thing, he said ‘dear’ and the realization of him having someone shut her up real fast— “Ha! Sounds good.” The girl would add – redirecting herself in hopes of hiding behind her change of words. Clearly meaning no disrespect in her attempts to cover up her tracks, “So you’re familiar with the people here, huh?” Though the last piece of the clue was when the woman mentioned one of their names, mainly Rayvenne’s- the more reserved and quieter one, like Rayvenne herself, she had a habit of observing and checking out other people to try and get a guess on them. However, Rayvenne gave off the loner vibe, despite being in the company of another, though she could respect it. After all, she didn’t like staying too long with the same people after the adventure had taken place- for she feared attachment and a repeat of past pain. “Employed! Well, as like her bodyguard?” That was the assumption, but she’d find the little bunny to be of importance, not many alchemists around. “I see! So you must be traveling to do trades with your formulas. Alchemy is some strong stuff.” Very diverse and difficult to study, it’d take a while to be able to completely create with it and this young girl had already established that. She was very impressed, “I’m jealous!” She drones – half-kidding and half-serious, it was still taking her time to complete work on herself and this relic. Either way, once the topic is turned upon herself – she’d smile at the bunny-girl, “I travel around to see if people need help with anything.” Though mostly she hopes they need help with monsters and not just trivial affairs. She wasn’t meant to help someone with their lost cat, “So if you need any help with something, I’m your girl. I’m not trying to take your friends’ business away though. I’m for free, you can act as if I’m just her assistant in her task.” Whatever she could find out in the wilderness would be her payment, the gem was getting restless in not being fed and she would hope to find something to give to it.
  11. ====================================================== [ Location: Kalath ] ======================================================= It had been several days in the making, her travel was not easy, not by any means- it took forever! However, no trouble so far found its way to her, which left her bored on that front. She -wanted- to encounter danger, it was the high of the moment that truly made her feel alive again, without a fight against some monster she didn’t feel it. The dull life of keeping to safe-havens wasn’t her style, she had to always be on the frontline of fighting and protecting something. But this trip didn’t allow her any sort of feel, instead, it was simple – she had just arrived within Kalath. It wasn't like she stayed in one spot for too long, so it wasn't surprising that she'd end up all the way out here looking for something of interest. Hopefully some merchant would need some type of protection traveling through the lands to deliver their goods – yes, she was looking for work instead of immediately going to the Adventurer’s guild for it. People kept looking at her with those sad puppy dog eyes of pity and she didn’t need it. So lately she’s been looking for trouble or…something herself. It’s like they couldn’t move on- so she couldn’t in exchange, it made her own situation that worst, but they didn’t understand that. Either way, she needed a place to find some people that perhaps needed some assistance somewhere and somehow. Leading her to a nearby tavern/inn of Kalath to possibly find someone willing to let her feel alive again, “Hey!” Her entrance is noticeable since she doesn’t keep quiet, her voice practically booming as she moves through the front entrance of the Tavern, possibly interrupting most conversations with that. “I’m hungry, what do you got?” She questions the employee or the assumed employee, “Hopefully stew, I love homemade stew.” But would this really be considered homemade? It was inside of a business vendor after-all and made specifically for that instead of with the warmth of filling a family’s stomach. Oh well, those details didn’t really concern her, “Oh?” A loud girl from behind catches her attention, with a voice to rival her own boom in full, “……I’ll have what she’s having!” Or was it a special type of ordeal? She didn’t know, not coming in directly when the conversation was more personal, she had arrived a few moments after the entire exchange- but she couldn’t help to notice the girl’s abnormal features, the large bunny ears kind of giving away her unnatural self. That intrigued her but not in the /right/ way, no it made her. . .feel uncomfortably dark for some reason, maybe a bit of prejudice crawling underneath Alice’s skin, “Hi there.” Though she won’t come off hostile at all, a bright smile given to the young-looking girl, while she shares a glance for Rayvenne as well – “Are you two traveling?” A tilt of her head is given within her inquiry, “I’m traveling too!” It was probably rude to butt into someone else’s business, but she didn’t have any other way to find someone in need of another to join them. Her thick garb of silk and embroidery of gold probably didn’t give the “traveler” feel, though it was just the protective gear of her War Cleric, the fabric was armor and protective for the girl’s well-being and made her look good!
  12. Alright sounds good to me! I'll read up on the thread and make an introductory!
  13. I see! Well, I wouldn't mind jumping on one of the adventures or just waiting for the possible meet up for the next one so I'm not really interrupting anything! Up to you all really. I was also hoping my buddy on here would join soon. T . T
  14. Yeah been sort of under the weather, so lacked the energy to write them fully. I'll work on the rest of my characters later-- for now. . I'll stick with Alice.
  15. Hello! Alright, I think I got everything down on my first two characters, sorry for the delay in completing them. And I will probably make more. . .since Craethiel kind of allows my creative juices to flow, sorry in advance! Though Yda seems to be a little lacking due to her story for right now, yikes.
