I actually wanted to hold off on replying to this until I'd at least started an RP in Blackberry Falls, but my personal opinion is that it probably doesn't matter all that much whether you follow US/UK laws or integrate other non-western laws into the mix. I should probably state that I'm from Australia, and the laws here are pretty similar to the current ones, so maybe I'm being insensitive or lacking understanding. I personally don't think the legal legislation within an RP affects the RP that strongly. Creating laws from scratch is extremely difficult in an urban setting. It might be interesting to create laws as an RP goes in something like a tribal Roleplay. But for Blackberry Falls I just can't imagine any better system. Either way if people aren't joining Blackberry Falls I doubt laws are the problem. If I completely missed the mark with my comments, I'm sorry. I did read how you wanted to focus on; "Rules of the Roleplay. Not rules within the roleplay" But wasn't quite sure what that meant. I'm going to sound a bit mean here, but I can't help but question this statement. On a site titled "Perverted Dreams" with Hentai in the banner, and pornographic adverisements at the bottom. I really can't say I'd be surprised if people came here for a more sexual oriented fixation rather than for to express their creative flair. I'm not saying it should all be cybering and smut roleplays. But I personally expected a much stronger focus on the sexual aspects when joining... I've actually tried inviting two friends here, both declined. One of them just told me the site wasn't for them, but the other gave me a bit more insight. For starters they told me the site looked more like a place for a quick cybering session than proper roleplay. I think that was a bit close-minded of him, and think he should've given the place a more thorough look-around, but if I think from the perspective of a typical guest to the site, he probably gave the place a more thorough look than most. I'm not saying that plot and detail should be pushed to the side, but if people join for near-cyber experinces, I don't think you can be blamed for not caring about the detailed indepth world that's been prepared for them.

Hmm, I can understand the need for caution when implementing new content. Since revoking them later makes the site look poorly managed. But I'm a bit curious as to how long it took between people suggesting, and people disappearing. New members aren't exactly known for their loyalty and commitment, and I can easily imagine people leaving within a few days if they feel their ideas have been ignored, or if they simply feel it's taking too long. There are plenty of alternatives for those wanting to roleplay mature content, and people are likely to jump ship if they're introduced to a site that already offers what they're looking for. I completely agree that the RP suite should remain unchanged, it's a unique feature that could be used to set the site apart from other 'unoriginal forums.' I'm a complete novice when it comes to forum bandwidth limitations, and how long it takes to load stuff. But ideally if EcchiDreams can provide both the "Unoriginal-content" as well as the specially tailored RP Suite. I think it could attract a lot more members. As I said before though, I feel the focus should be put on member retention, not member attraction. Even if you got a hundred members daily, there's no point if they're all leaving within a week. Ecchitext works... sort of. The only problem with Ecchitext I have is that it's private. I often start/accept RP's with people based on how compatible I feel with their style. I've had a lot of people message me over the years asking to roleplay, and rejected most of them simply because a quick look at their previous roleplays foretells how I wouldn't be satisfied with their grammar, length or writing style. I suppose I could persistently probe them in Ecchitext... But Ecchitext privacy also subtracts from how active the forum looks. A hundred posts between another player and myself would keep us engaged, but to everyone else in the forum, it would seem as inactive and dead as if there were no posts made at all. I'm pretty passionate about this idea, so I apologize if I seem demanding, rude or anything else unpleasant. It's a basic feature on many forums, and I can understand how a site may want to be 'different' but I'm not sure that's a luxury the site can afford at this stage. I've only been here for a week now, so I probably seem obnoxious too xD

I actually agree with quite a few the points, but not all of them. I'm personally fine with the advertisements, but I can understand how many would be annoyed by them. Like all ads though, they're a necessary evil if things are to be kept free... plus, I think some of them are hot. xD I'm not really sure what the issue was with loading times since my pages are loading fine. What I did strongly agree with is the roleplaying component of the site. I've been a bit busy and restricted over the past week, so I haven't really tried it myself. But reading the guidelines I have to admit that the site is quite demanding when it comes to roleplay standards. Control insures quality, but I feel as if quality is being prioritized so much that it becomes intimidating for casual roleplayers who aren't as strict, realistic and professional as the site requires. I've already suggested how a general roleplay section for 1x1's would be beneficial to site activity. As I believe it would solve many problems the site has for people like you and myself. Unfortunately I also acknowledge how a general roleplay section would possibly divert the limited attention the establish roleplays are getting. However, as things stand at the moment, the site isn't retaining the members they gain. I don't know if this was a positive setup/formula in the past, but a trend I've been noticing over my years of RP'ing is the unfortunate decline of members. And I really feel it's necessary to take a step out of accustomed traditions and take a step towards a more open approach that caters to a wider audience. I can't promise activity either, but I'll continue visiting the site sporadically in hopes of something that catches my eye. The Admins hinted at how they had a pleasant surprised for its memberbase, so I'm going to hold out until then at the very least.

Thank you Tripp and Penance for the welcomes <3 Inactivity is unfortunately contagious, if a group of people suddenly disappear then those affected in turn lose motivation... and the cycle goes on. Applying activity is probably the only remedy, and it takes a good long while for the affects to start being visible. Only thing we can do I guess is be persistent with our activity and hope for the best. I've FINALLY finished reading the guidelines for roleplaying and I'm not sure what to say. On one hand I'm amazed at how detailed and informative it was... but on the other I can sort of understand why people would be reluctant to read it all and actively engage in the amazing roleplays you've got set up here.As I said in the chat bar, I'm not really used to the 'open world' style of roleplay, but hopefully it'll be something I can join and learn from.Sort of eyeing Craethiel Kingdom with a eager eye at the moment xD Should probably stop mentioning the surprises to me since I'm getting all jumpy and excited over something that's at least a good month or two away. :P Patience has never been a strong point for me >_< As for suffering, I'm very~ vocal about any problems I may have, so no need to worry about me suffering in silence. Personally I'm not very fond of futa characters, but in regards to the question I'm pretty sure it's one or the other. (Not both). Hermaphrodites I'm pretty sure are wired just like normal people, and the urethra is connected to one of their genitals, the other is usually not connected to the excretion system. It's a bit different, but imagine it being attached surgically to the skin. I'm not sure how effective a penis is when the body leans more heavily towards the female side. If it affects the urinary system, there's a chance it'd affect erections and semen production. I'm not an expert or anything, but that's what I concluded when I was aasked to look up a similar topic in the past.

Wow, so many questions xD Firstly, thanks for the welcome. As trivial as it is do, it really does affect the mentality of new members.... or it does for me at least anyway. It's even more welcoming when there's something I can respond to <3 I'm a bit daft when it comes to seasons, but if winter hasn't arrived yet, it's probably hiding just behind the corner. I'd personally love to see a bit of snow, but 'Winter' in most parts of Australia means it's as rainy as hell... (does it rain in hell?) We still call them the same things, Winter is the cold one and Summer is the hot one. Autumn/Fall is a bit hard to distinguish, but Spring is the one were there's bugs everywhere xD The seasons are however reversed, so while you guys up in the North are freezing your asses off, we're melting in the heat. And when you're sitting beneath the airconditioner, we're drowning in the rain~ Just kidding xD But you get the general idea (I hope). And yes, December is hot and horrible, not as bad as January but yeah... if Santa existed, he'd probably die from the heat in his normal getup. Ironically we use the same cards/icons as everywhere else in the north, so our Christmas cards had a fat guy in a sleigh, surrounded by snow... while we sweat it out in the heat xD (There's some that are tailored to Aus, like Santa wearing shades, no top, and a beer in one hand xD) ~~~~~ Educational rant aside, it's been 3 years now I think started on October 2nd 2011, I remember the date since a friend of mine got me into it on my birthday. :P I wouldn't be surprised if someone's already made a character with the avatar I'm using. Whoops, I guess I was a bit misleading. When I said 'creating my own world' I was referring to a single thread where I could 1x1 with someone without using an existing world (Blackberry Falls), if we're on the same page and I'm just blabbering, sorry >_< I was reading the side-thingie to pass the time and noticed the adorable birthday gesture.
