This is where Apocalypse World and Microscope really changed the way I play and run games. I rarely have anything but the barest sketch when I sit down at the table. I love the NPCs players come up with when I ask who they have to meet to get whatever McGuffin I've come up with. The world-building that gets done in this little conversations is SO powerful. So, one of the first things we're going to need to do is set the basic ground rules: I suggest a fantasy world. Science fiction does not seem to sell. This implies magic. I vote we toss the trope "cultures" like orcs, elves etc. and build out creatures native to this place. Is it a globe? Islands floating in a limitless sky? Are there gods, and if so how "solid" and active are they? Any other fundamental bounds, limits or off limits things to include or exclude?1 point

I am looking to do a teacher/student roleplay where your character (the student) is failing a class and resorts to having sex with my character even though she is dating another student. What your character plans to be a one time thing to pass the class unravels before her as she learns MC recorded the whole thing and uses it to black mail her into a whole bunch of more fun! Its a pretty simple and more realistic idea compared to my other one, but I figured it could be fun none the less and result in a whole bunch of different scenes! I am excited to hear from everyone! This account has been made with the specific intent of roleplaying a mature and dark story set within a medieval fantasy setting. I don't have a preset world that I'd like to share, but I do enjoy discussing what kind of a world our characters will be working with as well as the ground rules we will be limiting ourselves too. As for characters, you can be whatever you'd like as long as you make your character feel unique with enough charm. I've been roleplaying for the past 5 years and I've clearly had my fill with those who are determined to play their character as a white knight. I say a globe. Maybe we work on a single continent and the various beings living there. Screw actual gods. They might be there, they might be made up, but nobody knows for sure. There is no "divine" magic. At least that's my two cents, but I'm willing to play it a different way. Maybe the gods are only as real as the peoples' belief in them? I feel like that's been done, but it would make the need to get new followers a driving force for priests, at least if they knew. And I vote for magic being something other than Vancian magic, because all that spell memorization BS is just tired.1 point

One of my favorite things ever is the world-building used in Smallville (of all things!) - There's a system (now adapted with only the barest of bare bones into Cortex Prime) called Pathways that has built my three favorite game worlds ever, and I've been playing in homebrewed worlds longer than some people here have been alive. The system really works best for games where all the characters know each other and they will be adventuring in a set area - one city, one star system, and place where certain locations can be important to the players across multiple sessions (like a high school, a coffee shop, a superhero headquarters, a secret1 point

Microscope has to probably be one of my favorite systems. It's really one of the few games where the focus is to build on top of eachother's ideas. Especially like that the system straight up encourages to go fully nuclear, so that leads to some really interesting stories. I also like The Quiet Year, similar in many ways, a little more contained, and a little more stressful. It's a cute little game. I'd love to run either of those systems here.1 point

First of all, the character eh? And with that outta the way, let's talk about the plot. I am looking for a timid and kind hearted noble for this one. One that walks straight into the adventurers guild, where nobles are a rare sight, and avoided by adventurers. For them, nobles are trouble. His business there? He needs a tutor for swordsmanship. He tells this to the attendant at the counter, and gets asked (politely) why the noble doesn't instead get a fellow noble to instruct him. Most nobles prefer the elegant styles after all. Hey there! I love a whole lot of things, like gaming, my cat, roleplay and most creative things. When I first learned of AI and that you are able to create images with it, I was probably stuck on the generate button for a week, being all amazed by the possibilities. Similar with chat gpt, I am German and often use it to help me out getting my thought on paper when I struggle getting the sentence just right in English. I have been writing stories as a coping mechanism back in school, being bored to death I needed a hobby that does not get easily noticed by the teachers and well, most of them must have thought I'm not smart.
