Do you Listen to Music when you RP?

I've always been curious whether the majority of people listen to music while they write or if they prefer silence? If you do listen to music what kind do you prefer? Personally I listen to different things based on the RP. I like to surround myself with things that I think would help me feel or think like my characters. If the game is fantasy based I like to listen to movie sound tracks and hour mixes, I'll even put on rain effects if its raining during the scene or bug noises if its at night. At times I like to get cinematic and play songs if the moment feels right. The other day I was playing a barbarian lady and chose to listen to Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin …

I was looking around here and saw there were no topics dedicated to edgy fuckers like myself. So I decided to start one myself. So feel free to post all your edgy stuff and general shitposting. Of course, I expect everyone to still stick to the Terms of Service. Remember that this purely for the sake of shitposting and not meant as a place for serious debates. Naturally, I will start us off with a few ones myself:

Some of you may have read one or more of my instances where I have encountered various rude and prick-ish behaviour from potential partners or gotten really weird/creepy/sick or other extraordinary type of offer. So after I have gotten quite a lot over time I wondered about what others may have experienced and are wanting to share between us. Most often, these come from F-list on my part, though a few still makes the "list" from ED. Of course, I will try my best to avoid mentioning anyone by name. I guess you could call this our "list of shame. Feel free to share any you may have had yourselves. Here is some my most recent ones. Most often, there is no more co…

I been looking at a lot of your cover photos and it got me wondering.....where did you find them? what inspired you to pick your cover photo? I'll go first....if you look at mine you'll see a nude gagged and bound girl on a chair. My wife and I are pretty kinky in real life and since they say, 'life imitates art', I think mine is kind of a no brainer. Anyone else?

You know how books/movies usually follow the adventures and happenings of a single person (in book format often from the main character's perspective)? That's what I'm asking about - a story built from, by and around the limits of the perspective of a single main character, but written in a roleplaying format. I mean, yeah, occasionally there could be 'interludes', where the story describes the inner thoughts of another person or the happenings in different place in order to progress the plot, but overall - a story mainly pushed forwards by a single character. I guess you could say that one person roleplays as the "main character", while the other acts as "the world"…

I was wondering do we have any DARK CRYSTAL/AOR fans out there. Who are hard core! The fandom is so small, and we have so little to talk too.

I have been a conspiracy theorist since I was 10 years old. So I thought I would do this to gain some popularity here as "The weirdo with the tinfoil hat"

*plops on a willing lap* This is my lap now, there are many like it but this one is mine. Also laps are snuggly and I require headpats and ear scritches.

About half a year ago, I lost my muse almost completely. This wasn't because I was out of ideas, but I simply couldn't put my thoughts into proper posts. So I tried thinking of multiple approaches to fix this, which means watch anime, read some old posts, browse the ideas of others, and even a philosophical approach which ended up being the solution. Why do I write? Because I like people... so long as I'm not getting crowded. Buy yeah. There are some really charming people out there in the world, people I have interests in common, who are scattered across the globe, and people whom I cherish for spending their time writing out my silly little ideas. Heck, even the…

So, a while back I rambled on a bit about my pile of CCG cards. Now its time for another collection, more oriented for this site. I've basically been roleplaying my entire adult life. But that roleplaying is of the shared story sort. I've never played anything in an actual game system (see my personal story topic for why I would not have done that in person, I've been somewhat 'eh' on considering whether or not to try it online). That said, I have a pile of books from various systems (some of the oldest ones were originally my dad's, who I believe played them some when he was younger, though I never saw him do it). I like reading them, since at least my teen years, …

Hello people ^^ I want to start a little discussion so here is my question to you all: Which do you prefer and why? A character with a lot of lore or a character with a given plot and established connections, character information, family, relatives etc. I would like to see your opinions in the comments!

So in my roleplaying history, I've met a lot of people with a lot of opinions on this topic. And now I'm wondering what people on ED think about this overall. You see, not everyone has the money (or desire) to pay sometimes crazy amounts of money for a drawing of our own Original Character. Let alone actually draw one ourselves, if we lack the skill. Which is why a lot of people - myself included, I don't deny it - often look for various images on the internet and use them as references for our own OCs. I won't speak for others, but I always make it known that I don't own these artworks of someone else's OC's and will take them down upon request by the owner or …

book What Is Your Favorite Book/Book Series?

Hiya! I don't usually post on the forums since I'm extremely anti-social and don't know how to properly interact outside of EcchiText, but I wanted to give this a shot to get out of my comfort zone. So the big question is: What Is Your Favorite Book/Book Series? The first book series that I ever read was... Vampire Academy. It's probably the most generic thing to read for a tween girl at the time. At least it wasn't Twilight- kinda dodged a bullet on that one. But to fully answer the question, my favorite book series would be Maximum Ride series from James Patterson. Realistically, though, any book made by him (especially the Alex Cross series) would …

Just add something, anything that has helped you through a hard time. Whether it is a song, a story, a picture, some kind of an accidental experiences, or a comment section. Anything is fine, as long as it made you feel even slightly better about a bad situation and you think might lift up a mood of another. I'll start off with a rather depressing song that has a surprisingly supportive comment section:

The title pretty much says it all - how exactly do you indicate that a character you control is currently moaning (hopefully out of pleasure)? I know that one can use italics or colours or other fonts to indicate this, but I'm asking specifically about the written word, all other formatting options discarded. And if you use moaning sound effects, please do share them, since I can only find about ten on Yahoo answers.

There's a bit more nuance to this question, so I'll explain. Let's assume that your characters are in the middle of sex, but you (as the writer) don't know what to do next. Maybe you have too little information about how that particular situation would work and even your lewd imagination doesn't help, or maybe you know exactly how it would turn out because you know way too much about it because of experience and feel like you're just recycling the same old actions over and over again. To be clear, you don't want to stop the story you have going on, you just want to move on to the next scene, whatever it may be. What would you do in this scenario? Brute force …

I'm more asking about the ways you format the various things a character might do. For instance, how do you discern the ways a character speaks from when they send a text message or does something. And if you control multiple characters - how do you make it more easily understandable for the other parties who is speaking at that moment? For me, it's: Different colours for different characters; For conversation formatting I use "Coloured Quotes" for speech; [Square Brackets in Lucinda font] for electronic messages or emails; Italicised Comic Sans with an Increased Indent for handwritten notes and the like; …

Again my curiosity get the better of me. However this time, i want to know some good old story about...other side. As we all aware, some country has their own ghost and myth of their own. You know, angry spirit, playful spirit, just there to scare you spirit. There's a fair share of people told a ghost story when they camping or even telling urban legend about their neighbor at PJ's party (if that still a thing). Now i want to know if you got some share of said story. Just to make sure we stay on topic, i prefer not bring up internet horror since i ask for an original story from your country, not internet. Unless the internet horror is only happening on your country, i gu…
