"Maybe they should hold off a bit on that simulation idea..." Zero muttered to himself.

“What game do you wanna play now? You pick,” Nadia says, not hearing his comment. “I’m down to do literally anything you want.”

Zero looked at Nadia for a moment, then shook his head, trying not to think about it.  "So, um...you got any other recommendations for games?" he asked.

“There’s a computer. We could look up games on there,” Nadia says as she heads over to one. She boots it up... and there was a porn video on it. It showed just a normal sex scene.

”Guess they forgot to close this,” Nadia mutters, closing the tab.

Zero blushed a bit when he saw the porn video, but quickly regained his composure when he saw someone a few seats down typing furiously at another computer.  It was a man in glasses wearing a white lab coat, typing away as if there was nothing in the world to bother him.  He was also wearing headphones to block any sound.

Nadia didn’t really take note of the man in the glasses yet.

”Let’s see... what games are there?” Nadia asks as she scrolls through them.

Zero could feel something strange about the man in glasses despite his rather unassuming appearance, but for the time being chose not to think too much about it and instead focused on the screen in front of him.

“Okay so, I found out this has Steam! I logged into my profile. Ever heard of Portal?” Nadia asks.

"Steam?  Portal?  Why would someone name something like Steam?" Zero questioned.

“I dunno,” Nadia says. “Why is my name Nadia and yours Zero? Not normal names.”

"I don't know about you, but my parents weren't exactly good people.  I'll never know why they named me the way they did, especially with how fond they were of keeping secrets," Zero replied.

“I never had a close relationship with mine,” Nadia shrugs. “Oh well....” she sighs.

Zero didn't know how he should respond.  Even though his parents constantly hid information from him even after their deaths, in the time they were training him, they had always been around, even if they maintained an emotional distance.  Zero couldn't imagine what it was like not having any sort of close relationship with his parents.

“Let’s change the topic. I’m sure we both don’t wanna talk about this,” she says. She lies back, and she gives a small glimpse of her crotch accidentally as she does.

Zero blushed a bit and slowly looked away from Nadia, returning his attention to the computer in front of him.

Nadia has opened Portal up. “Are you good at puzzles?” She asks. “I’m decent at it.”

"It depends on the puzzles.  I've done a few before, but the circumstances were far different," Zero replied.

“These are based on getting through rooms with portals. It sounds easy but not every surface can spawn a portal,” Nadia explains. “You can try if you want.”

"With portals?  So is it some kind of magic or something?" Zero asked, but still decided to give it a try.

“It’s a science in the game. You get a portal gun and make your own portals later,” Nadia says. “The second game has multiplayer.”

"I see..." Zero quietly said while he tried to navigate his way through the game.

Nadia watches him. “If you need help tell me and I’ll try to,” she says. “I’m not the best but I’ve played it before.”

Zero nodded in response and continued to play, managing to figure out the solutions to the puzzles at first, but ended up getting stuck after a while.  "Nadia, I might need your help on this one," Zero said.

“Oh... uh... that’s one I always had trouble on,” Nadia admits. She goes to an adjacent computer and tries to search it up on YouTube.

While Zero waited for Nadia to find out the solution, he went about giving it some more attempts, but no matter what, he still couldn't figure it out.
