The Basement

“Aha! Look,” Nadia says, as she plays the video to solving the puzzle. “That’s how you do it, I always forget....”

Zero took a few moments to watch the video and followed how it was done in order to get through the puzzle.  "So that's how it's done," Zero mumbled.  "Thanks, Nadia," Zero said.

“No problem!” Nadia says, giving a big smile. “What do you wanna do when you’re done?”

"To be honest, I don't really know," Zero simply replied.

“I’m just trying to think of other things to do than sex,” Nadia admits. “I want to show you that’s not all I think about, I promise!”

"Still, sometimes I wonder, seeing how you react sometimes..." Zero quietly said while he poked at Nadia's arm as he spoke.

Nadia blushes. “I-I’m sorry... I... I really want to try for you. I really like you....” she felt a little ashamed.

Without a word, Zero started patting the top of Nadia's head.  "It's fine, Nadia.  I mean, when you think about it, I'm no better.  For a long time, all I thought about was getting stronger and how to stay alive, and even now, I tend to think a lot about how to get rid of this dark power forever and about my past.  At the very least, you're trying to change, which is something I failed to do," Zero said.

“Maybe... we can help each other change for the better,” Nadia says. She gives Zero a sincere smile. “Wouldn’t that be nice?” She liked it when he patted her head.

Zero nodded in response.  "Yeah, that would be nice," Zero answered.

Nadia hugs Zero. “Thank you so much. For giving me a chance. No one else believed me when I said I would change....” she was tearing up a little.

Zero hugged Nadia back.  "Then those people are idiots.  Anyone can change, they just have to take the first step to do it," Zero said.

“Yeah,” Nadia says, sniffling. She felt something in her heart. “I... thank you. So much... I mean it....”

"You don't need to thank me, Nadia," Zero quietly replied, enough so Nadia could hear him.

“I want to,” Nadia says. “...do you feel alright?”

"For the most part, yeah.  Although, I do have this weird feeling in my heart," Zero replied.

Nadia gasps. “M-me too... that’s actually so weird and cool,” she giggles.

"Y-yeah..." Zero simply replied, blushing a bit.

“I... I want to say it... but I’m scared,” Nadia whispers.

"Say it?  Say what?" Zero asked.  A part of him was worried that it might've been something bad, but he wanted to believe in Nadia at the same time.

Nadia hesitates. “...I love you....” she looks away immediately and blushes madly.

Zero's whole face turned red and he slowly looked away from Nadia.  "Y-you do?  But, you know, we didn't meet that long ago, you know," Zero said, but in reality, he had no idea what he should be saying.

“...oh. Right,” Nadia says. She lets go of Zero. “S-Sorry. I’m bad at this....” she scoots away from him a little.

"N-no, it's not that.  I mean, you know, um..." Zero tried to say, letting out a sigh.  "I'm no good at these kind of things," he added.

“Me neither,” Nadia sighs. “I’m only good at being horny, and having an ugly body.....”
