Starcry Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Feel free to share music that helps you write or that sets the mood for whatever you are roleplaying.
IsabellaRose Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Not so much a specific recommendation, but when I'm writing for a certain theme or setting, I'll search for playlists people have already created to fit the feel I'm going for. I've found fantastic list for free on SoundCloud, and more on Spotify, Amazon Music, and YouTube, although the ads on those "paid services I don't pay for" really ruin the experience for me. Tabletop Audio has some awesome "ambience + music" sets that I use when I actually run a game, and sometimes when I'm writing. 1
Starcry Posted April 9, 2023 Author Posted April 9, 2023 I have YouTube Premium because I was fed up with getting ads on my daughter's tablet so I like listening to stuff on YouTube. Especially the lofi stuff. As I write this I am listening to this one: 1
Warning Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 Oh yeah, Lofi girl is awesome for doing anything that just needs a bit of ambience. It's the perfect "study" music. My tastes in music will vaguely change depending on situation and scene in the roleplay. All the way from epic battles, to sad and emotional. I played video games a lot so I'm into that "fitting soundtrack for fitting moment." Example of music I love to listen to below! (Be careful if sensitive to very sad tunes. I just love it.) : 1
GlitchyGlitch Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I'm currently prepping a 5th edition TTRPG session in the Hellboy universe. I've been listening to this playlist a lot, it really helps me picturing myself in a 1950's office doing some paranormal research.
Estoric222 Posted March 30 Posted March 30 (edited) Hello I am a new boy but I had a good writing session to this. Edited March 30 by Estoric222 It was to a playlist that's been mismanaged.
