Getting used to it

So… I'm not sure where to begin. 

I've been looking for a place where I can enjoy some good role-play for a while, I recently came across this site thanks to another forum, and I'm trying to get used to the change from one place to another. I'd really like to get started with writing and talking, but I'm a bit nervous about it, so any kind of guidance is welcome.

Anyway, I hope we get on well. (≧∇≦)ﾉ

Well, the most important bit of advice I can give is 

Don't be nervous! Everyone here is here to have fun, even if we don't all always agree with what everyone wants to write. The worst someone can do is say no.

The best way to socialise here is in forum games or find a club relevant to your interests! (There are LOADS!)

I will say that while our community is full of friendly people there is the odd bad apple. If you come across any bad apples the staff are there to help you. They are really nice people and I even have one helping me out with a new club I just made!

I second the forum games. It's how I met most of the people with whom I played private games.

It looks like you already found the private roleplay forum, the public roleplay group, and my writing challenge group (thank you for joining!) and those are the places I'd suggest going to find a partner and post publicly so potential partners can see your style.

Other than that, message a staff member if you have any questions or any friendly local if you just want to chat. I'm always happy to chat with newcomers and I know most people here are as well!
