New to the site, but not new to roleplay as a whole.

While reading the sticky guide was certainly a nice refresher, I didn't exactly need to as much as I was just compelled to in order to see if it also explained how to use the site's features.

EcchiDreams is the first time I've ever used this forum structure, and while I did roleplay once on a forum, it was quite a long time ago now, and was entirely SFW. Said forum uses another common structure now, but one geared towards support, and to my knowledge, has seemingly closed their roleplay boards.

Anyways, my main questions are as follows:

What is the whole "Clubs" structure exactly about? Are clubs just for people with like-minded ideas and kinks to gather together, or are they to practice roleplay within a specific canon/headcanon?

What is the whole "Character ID" system about? Is that just like a character sheet thing similar to how you'd do it on other platforms? When you make a character ID, does it have to be restricted so only one club can be used for roleplay with it?

I hope these questions aren't in bad taste. To my knowledge at least, the website's guides don't seem to have any real information about this, and while I did not sit down and read them in their entirety due to the sheer number of articles, I did go through all of their names to see if one seemed to discuss these topics, and none of them seemed to at a glance. I apologize if I've just unknowingly judged a book by it's cover, haha.

I think each club has its own description of what it is before people join it, if that helps. Personally, I've never actively joined one though. I've never heard of a character ID, but I know there's a dedicated album for roleplay characters in the gallery section. Ultimately, it's your character so you choose what you do with it. I don't think they're too strict as long as rules aren't being broken.

I haven't roleplayed consistently for a while now though, I just make random posts on the community wall. Lol.

Character IDs are basically like character sheets on other platforms. It should be noted that just because a character sheet/ID is in a club does not mean you can't use that character in other clubs or RPs.

I run a club that posts biweekly(ish) writing challenges so members can try writing outside their comfort zone and win EcchiCredits

But each club has its own purpose.
