There had to be some purpose to his scamming. Perhaps he himself was facing financial issues from some other source and was desperate for a solution. Perhaps she could work with him to help him better himself and his role in society. Worst case scenario, she might be placing herself in immediate danger from which she'll be forced to fight, but she couldn't imagine anything she would do to escalate the situation to such a degree. As the two walked to the meetup point, Alez looked around the shady street. Compared to the tall beautiful skyscrapers they had been walking past before, this area just felt... depressing. Like some sort of dead end where people were just left abandoned. The men and women that lined the streets seemed much fewer in number and they definitely appeared to be less fortunate than most. The buildings were rusted and run-down, surrounded by litter and coated with graffiti. Some of the windows were broken. It certainly wasn't a particularly pleasant place to be. "People don't... live in this area, do they?" She could feel the hairs stand on end from the way a crowd of men stared her down. Something about this place just felt dangerous. Knowing the suffering mortals could inflict on each other, she could only imagine how tortured many of the people in a place like this would be.

    Alez nodded when Samantha responded to her name. "Perhaps, it is foreign after all." She bowed again. "But your name sounds quite pretty." Alez did have a basic understanding of human economic systems, although the idea of currency never sat well with her. It seemed as though many mortals didn't care at all about being generous and caring for anyone who needed help, but instead were only interested in assisting those who could benefit them. It seemed like a system filled with corruption that she could only assume was the source of a lot of the toxicity among humanity. Situations like the one Samantha had just explained to her was the exact type of example that bothered her about the entire system. Back in Coelis, if anyone needed help, there was nothing requiring anyone else to assist, people would just naturally help because it was the correct thing to do. Here though, it seemed mortals weren't above demanding compensation for even the smallest of favors. Although, perhaps it was a necessity. Earth had extremely limited resources, after all. It was a sad fact, but it would eventually reach a day where there just aren't enough materials to provide a healthy way of life for every individual. Still, certainly, someone willing to put another human into such distress wasn't one who deserved so much money. "I'll try to talk to this man and see if I can't get your things back. Such reckless greed is a horrible sin... could you lead me to him?"

    Not everyone is comfortable with roleplaying such dark themes, so you don't have to compromise with yourself to make it work if you're just not into it. Heck, it could be nice for Alez to have someone like Cassandra to comfort her in trying times (which she'll have a lot of) so you'll have plenty of opportunities to play with her if you still want to in the future.

    Well, no one's pressuring you to do it. There doesn't even necessarily have to be another character involved at all, it could just be Sophia, Emma and Alez.

    "Oh! No, no, it's fine!" Alez reassured the girl as she seemed to feel quite guilty. "Perhaps I deserve it, I really shouldn't be interacting with the people here in the first place... but I saw you in the crowd and something about the way you looked just made me feel the need to talk to you. It saddens me that the people here are so frequently upset. And the fact that it must be so normal for you only makes it worse." Alez had always believed celestials had no right to any sort of superior, entitled life to those of humans. Sure, in a past life, maybe she was a good person and deserved to be rewarded, but she had no memories of that life. This life had no control over where she was born. As far as she was concerned, she was just lucky enough to have been born into the arms of Caelisia. As Alez continued to listen, the girl began to explain 'larping.' She still didn't quite understand what the girl meant by 'live-action roleplaying,' but it would seem the girl wasn't interested in explaining further. Alez would just have to look into it herself later on. Perhaps the libraries in Coelis would help? It was shortly after that the girl offered her name. Alez just smiled warmly and bowed to her new acquaintance. "Hi, Samantha. My name is Alez. Perhaps I should have introduced myself first." It would seem that Samantha had caught an interest in her job once she mentioned that she was a soldier. When asked if she could fight, she began to respond, "W-well, not-" But she caught herself, partially to avoid talking over Samantha, but also partially because she was a little embarrassed to admit that she had been trained more to run away than to fight. What caught her own attention was when the girl suggested that she may be able to help after all. Under normal circumstances, it would be her job to send a message to Caelisia so that she could send a squadron to accomplish whatever task was at hand, but she also recalled that interfering with the affairs of humanity was heavily frowned upon. Reporting this to Mother would only guarantee this poor girl wouldn't get the help she needed. "O-of course I can fight!" She blurted out without much thought. "But if someone is giving you a rough time, I will do everything I can to resolve the situation peacefully without violence. Just let me know your problem and I will help in any way I can!"

    Yeah, now that you mention it, I am starting to get a little worried. She said she'd only be out for a day or two and that was over a week ago.

    Alright, well, we'll have to see, but I'd like a little bit more consistency with responses if we're going to continue. It's been almost a week. No offense intended, I'm sure you have your reasons, but both of my characters are frozen at the moment.

Just as this girl seemed to have no idea what she had been talking about, she had no idea what this 'larping' thing was. She touched her finger to her chin as she stood back in thought. "Maybe I just don't understand..." She was already starting to grow a little embarrassed. She had just exclaimed her secret aloud and in public all to someone who seemed to have no idea what it even meant in the first place. "Does the word 'scout' mean something else to you? And just what is 'larping'? I am new to this... place..." She hesitated, not wanting to reveal that she was from a whole other plane of existence. "...so I'm not really sure what all of this means to people from here, but I would love to learn more!" she tried to think for a bit on how to explain her own words in a way a human who knew nothing about celestials could understand. "I suppose I could describe my role as a sort of... soldier. Oh, but in no way would I ever resort to violence unless it is to protect the people of earth. I'm just here to keep the streets of this beautiful city safe in the name of my mother." She wasn't sure if she was volunteering too much information, so she decided to stop her explanation there. This human probably thought she was a total loon at this point.

    Location: City Street Alez blinked in surprise when she heard this woman's apparent disgust with her. She was absolutely baffled as to how she could possibly have been met with such blatant hostility in this situation. What took her even more by surprise was the fact that this girl seemed to have somehow guessed her job so quickly. "Y-you already know I'm a scout!?" She stepped back with surprise. This woman must have been far more knowledgeable than she appeared at first. Could it be possible she was a celestial that she had never met? Or maybe she was one of those celestial hunters she had heard so much about... either way, the very thought that she could be identified so easily was extremely disturbing to her. She looked down at herself to make sure that she was indeed in her physical form and not her ethereal one. Sure enough, she was all flesh and blood. It was then that she noticed her pendant. "O-oh, I see... I guess my pendant probably does give it away." She held the silver wing-shaped emblem in her fingers and sighed. She always wore it as a symbol of her pride for her position, but she definitely shouldn't be careless about such a dangerous risk. She tucked the pendant into her shirt and looked back up at the woman. She certainly didn't look like a demon, and her behavior certainly didn't seem pure enough for her to be a celestial either, but she clearly knew more than any normal human should. However, she must not have known too much about the job of a scout, as Alez had no idea what a 'badge' or 'quota' was. "How do you know about celestials? Have you met one before?" She asked with genuine, almost childlike, curiosity and innocence.

    Well, I'm thinking about her getting her seal broken at some point by demons, but for her to escape, either on her own merit or by being rescued, before her virginity is stolen. Then, I would like for her to encounter Sophia who would want to have some fun with her along with a man or men. At some point, Sophia might turn Alez into her "pet," but eventually begin to notice the similarities between Alez and her sister. I would like, at some point, for Alez to be bothered by Sophia's observations to the point where she tries to return to Coelis in order to retrieve her memories from her life as a human. But that would be tricky since she would probably be corrupted by that point, meaning she wouldn't be able to return using her sky pendant. Perhaps she'll adopt some form of forbidden demonic magic in order to "invade" the kingdom.

    It's fine, it is a bit funny, I just found it incredibly frustrating in the moment. It would have been okay if it was just the expired password, but the fact that absolutely nothing told me about that until the very end just go to me >.<

    I'm just gonna take a moment to rant about my stupid school. It's at the end of spring break, so naturally it's time to get back to doing homework. So I try to log in to my school's e-campus where my professor posts our homework assignments for us to print out and work on. When I go to log in, though, suddenly, over Spring Break, they decided to change the login domain. So now, my username and password which were saved to Google Chrome are no longer saved and I have to remember my password. I last updated my password about half a year ago and I've used the chrome autofill ever since. Needless to say, I'm not gonna remember what the hell my password is. So, I click the "forgot my password" link. But then it turns out it's a broken f***ing link because god forbid you have your links working for your professional college website. The worst part about this is that they acknowledge on the page that the link doesn't work, so why didn't they f***ing fix it?? Okay, so maybe it was just unfortunate timing. Maybe it's just an error that popped up recently and they're working on fixing it now, so I let it slide. The page tells me to call this support number if the link fails, so I do and, of course, the IT support is unavailable. So, I look back on the page and see that there's a link to a support page next to the number, so I click on that, and there's a button to report a problem. I'm already groaning because this means it'll probably take several hours to get a response, but I decide I may as well go ahead and get started. so I click the "report a problem" button, and it brings me to, guess what? another f***ing log-in page. At this point, I have no idea what username and password I'm supposed to use, so I just start trying the same ideas that I tried for logging into the e-campus. As soon as I try my first log-in, instead of telling me my log-in is right or wrong, it takes me to a completely different log-in screen. So now I'm even more confused and I type the same input again, and now it tells it was wrong. So again, I click the "forgot password" link, since it's a different window, and it takes me back to the support page with a notification that says it's sent instructions to my email. So, I go to my email and see no such information. I sit there and refresh and refresh and I get nothing. I go back to the support page log-in, click the forgot password links on both log-in pages, still nothing. This time, I close my email tab and open it again. and now I can't log in! This was beyond ridiculous at this point, because my password for my email was saved to Chrome, so I knew my input wasn't wrong. Well, as it turns out, my password had expired. No warning (except for the warning way back when I last updated my password that said "will expire in xxx days"). The only reason I was able to check my email before was that I had never actually logged out since the last time. So now, I have to go through some convoluted process of changing my password and answering five security questions. And I can't use a password I've used before, meaning now I have to remember a completely new password and run around every single site for my school and update the saved password on everything. All of this wouldn't be nearly as much of a problem if it wasn't for the fact that it all happened in the middle of the semester. This type of thing should happen between semesters. I've been in a panic all day because I need to get this homework done before class starts again tomorrow. I am just so sick of this school's distinct lack of communication and this isn't the first time I've had a really frustrating encounter like this.
