I was aiming for someone who had nothing left where he came from, left his parents abuse and been screwed over a lot. The most he has were money he saved up and just a few belongings, but the question for him is this; can my character by chance be an employee for the place? Or is it merely a visit and stay type ordeal?

Your character is welcome to stay on the island for as long as you like. And yes you may become staff. But as Buio pointed out I would rather continue this conversation in the topic he provided in the link above, if you really do want to become staff. @BladeRunner

On RP, he's quite capable for longer paragraph (His intro especially). He's patient enough to wait for reply which actually make me feel bad if i had to delay the reply. He's quite shy on detail so you might need to remind him if its okay to going extreme on detail. Story-wise, he's able to memorize the story so you don't need to worry about him losing track of RP. He also announce if there's something happen IRL so if there's something up, you can bump him or just visit his profile to see what's up.
