Azreal looked at Mitsuko in shock as he then looked at the fox and spoke up. "If you spare the girls. I will bring you somewhere where you may feast on the souls of the strongest warriors." He stepped forward putting Mitsuko behind him before looking at her. "Self sacrifice is honorable but at a time like this would only hurt your team mates more. You must think back to any wisdom or advice you were given." He looks at at the fox. "It's my duty as a Knight to protect these girls and if you follow me I promise it be worth your time." Azreal's heart was racing hoping his trump card would help in this situation.4 points

Shinigami remained calm as usual, just taking the vocal beating as she closed her eyes too. Mitsuko herself seemed horrified by Rie's continued outburst but Jumi's addition to it seemed to put the nail on the coffin of what she intended to do now. She had no idea who the names were but perhaps they held a significance to them. She, herself, was too new to know any of this. Her eyes turned to the fox to see what her reaction to Rie's suicidal intents was and the horrible reality struck her as the fox raised her hand, seemingly to snap once more. Azreal was starting to get fed up as he created a ice barrier with spikes but let the new man inside before closing it off. He crossed his arms and looked at Jumi and Rei. "I agree with Mitsuko is has gone far enough. I believe we all need to take a deep breathe and take a step back. We can't move forward without having a level head. I may have upset you with my logic Lady Rie and Lady Jumi but sometimes you must the see the small things before the big picture. Because if you don't more people might get hurt in the process." Azreal looked knew the names of people Jumi had stated due to his master but he was playing it off.4 points

Especially claiming no one liking her. “You want to claim to be some death goddess, grim reaper or whatever…You already have Ruby Pixie, Silver Soldier, Holy Storm, Jade Guardian, who knows how many others, countless I’m sure. Their friend is here, would probably love to meet you. Go play with the souls you already have. Honestly, I feel like a bad guy type showing up to the convention, and not at least trying to be discreet, like Azreal, would go down almost as well as a goody-good magical girl showing up at Zorn's liar. In either case it feels like asking for a beat down, or completely dismissing the hordes of adversaries as a credible threat. Just my perspective.3 points

Rie, as if in defiance of the mood, turned around rapidly with a shine in her eyes as Jumi spoke up to defend her "Jumi defending me? I need to write that down!" though the names she spoke of did calm her down. Those names...weren't they...? She hardly had time to ponder as Azrael spoke up again and Rie could only loo at him blankly "I found it lacking." she said "And stop switching the characters of my name. Its not Rei its Rie." but strange lull in the situation would be broken by another turn of events. Much to Rie's confusion the roles switched. The demoness was more than ready to prove her own point and Rie was more than ready to3 points

I said going forward. I ran with it regardless, but I am asking for such things to be discussed going forward. I don't care if its a story gimmick, I'm not comfortable with that sort of thing unless discussed prior. It is a neat story thing in this case. I'm not even complaining, I just explained the situation as I saw it. Don't see why this is so difficult for you. I'm fine with Rie being hit by it. I ran with it, and still am. I'm saying I'm not okay with being automatically hit by something. I do understand that. The only power she used so far was doom, which is a typical death boss mechanic anyway. Although, I understand we probably can't resurrect from it as well but I also won't simply thanos everyone. (And for the record, he is technically stronger than she is. XD) What makes you think I did not plan anything, though? She was intended to be much scarier than this but I definitely lowered the level due to not wanting to bother or involve people not included in this scene. I mean, not really. Remember what Shinigami was there for at first. I am not bashing anyone for trying to stop her but Azreal was the most level headed in this situation. Rie telling her a straight no is why she was the prime target of her demonstration. She probably wouldn't have cast anything without her defiance. (And there's a difference between defiance and simply protecting their ground.) And let's be honest, doom is not death. It still doesn't enter the rule of killing character, it would if the thing DOES activate. If I started discussing what nasty thing I have in mind then we might as well carebear this around with petty magic3 points

The demon's own lack of reaction did little to deter Rie's own as she stood there "Gross. The only thing I'll ask you to spare me is the tired, mealy-mouthed rubber routine demon." she said disregarding most of what she said "You were not invited." and then it moved to 01. A moment more and they'd see whether this one was all bark or if she had any bite. Rie didn't look very scared about it either from a lack of belief in her words or a true lack of concern about the possible result but she didn't move back instead staring dead ahead. It either happened or it didn't. "Better dead than to betray the trust of the people we protect." would3 points

Jumi’s anger switched to a sickness, a rare weakness in her legs as Mitsuko took action. There was deep fear here. She had given Mitsuko some warnings. This creature was unlikely to do what a male demon or monster might do. But its name hinted a much worse potential fate. It was what she feared most, losing Rie or Mitsuko were both terrifying to her. The claim of the creature’s intentions did not reassure her, since it looked like she did intend to do something with Mitsuko. Not just go have a snack or whatever. Nah the general is just wordy but I reduced it down. He's just cutting to the quick of the matter....but he also definitely clowning a little bit cause it's funny to him. As for Rie and Mitsuko. Yeah just kinda how it's gone. Rie doesn't dislike Mitsuko though.2 points

I feel like if I allowed Shinigami to listen to whoever that blu guy is, I'd get nothing much out of it. It's basically a lot of words for "We don't like you, gtfo", and mostly trying to clown/provoke her. (Rie PTSD) XD. It's like he's trying to get the fox girl to kill them despite her original intents. And Mitsuko's sacrifice was a honorable attempt to not make Rie die for not shutting the fuck up (All this for Jumi, mind you, not Rie). This is making me start to regret using this character to begin with, though. Or at least, at this time. At least it cleared up the relationship value between Mitsuko and Rie... Sigh. What part of discuss with me beforehand isn't registering? Do you not talk story with people beforehand? I do, hence why Rie didn't just barge in until I got the okay. The new guy I introduced didn't just tear down the door. Its only fine with me cause I register my own mistake in not realizing it before the moment came cause that, again, is wild to me. In my long career of rping this has pretty much never been a thing to worry about cause most people understand just auto-apply something is bad etiquette. Even the healing Rie did earlier came with the caveat that you agreed that it worked and allowed it. I get its a spell but given its2 points

You do realize it's a DOOM, right? And while I hold myself from killing her out of curtesy, this is literally what doom does and it's not a fireball? You were dealt no pain, no damage, no harm... All I learned here is that one character could be the cause of whatever disaster Shinigami could do because she had a loud mouth and a bigger ego and someone's complaining because such action held consequences... YET, I never had the power to kill your character anyway because it's against basic RP rules. You were hit by a story gimmick and you still complained. It's wind. Clearly you didn't like being the target of that move but there's no bias from2 points

Don’t have a problem with it. Jumi is mad, but she does not intend to do anything, as long as everyone is talking at least. She does not exactly want to let Shinigami walk around, but she s not going to attack without good reason, and believing it would accomplish anything,2 points

There is no reason to be told anything but no. They're her enemies. I don't think its carebearing to exercise some courtesy in an rp as simple as not auto-hitting maybe its because I generally am used to a much more rigid structure in rp but generally I allow people to react to things and at best describe the possible result if they do take the hit or anything like that. Its different from like little physical things like hand holding and all that. Its fine if others and you are good with it but for me thats crossing lines. I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm not going to hit you with a no in every case or start auto-dodging or anything2 points

I do want to be careful about characters being too overpowered. I don't think it has crossed lines yet. I think we can all probably get something good at this, but see where it goes, especially with another character sticking themselves in, any Jumi sharing in spreading the bad temper around, for semi-related reasons. Though maybe do preplanning with that sort of thing in the future, in how the power is used. But I don't think at this point changes need to made to her power.2 points

I wouldn't say Shinigami escalated it slowly. She was told no twice, and then someone next to her had his logic refuted and then she put doom on her at that point it was rapid but it was the only way to go. There was simply no logical reason for her enemies to be okay with her leaving out, and Rie is Rie. Rie doesn't fear death, she fears for the health of others and is not corrupted. Like I said it was damned if you do / damned if you don't type of situation. I get that, and while thats an intense amount of power if Saitai is fine with it then that is what it is. I think, however, that doesn't justify the auto-hitting at least to me.2 points

It's worrying yes. But so is any enemy capable of inflicting doom in any situation anyway. Some have power through strength, some through magic. She has power through death. And note, I am not being seen cheating or breaking the RP rules. Rie was never meant to actually "die", hence the fun thing about turning around it to make the tense situation I'm looking for. But I will simply say "it's funny you mention that". That said, remember that Shinigami escalated it slowly because Rie is, well, Rie. And she kept being Rie. XD Because of that, however, that opened to me a new direction in what I want to do. But yeah, she is more or less inev2 points

Well thats why I had one of my other characters (secretly a villain) show up cause the situation needed a bit of an out but he's the type that would find it entertaining. Kind just standing there though cause there is a big wall of cold wind in the way lol2 points

There, I can see them now. Heeey another scientist! Nice. Rie is less concerned about herself across the board as opposed to others and has her own history to factor in. Rie is talker for sure, but the defiance is kind of required given the situation. Wouldn't exactly be the first person to threaten her, plus she only pulled her weapon cause the fox escalated first She actually barely exchanged words with Shinigami before Shinigami put the death curse on her other than telling her they wouldn't show her around and that she wasn't welcome lol cause otherwise she was talking to Azrael more which I don't think was actually all that2 points

New character is up. See what happens with him. Jumi does not want to provoke things, but she is very reluctant to let something like that go free. Being a friend of sorts of Alexandrine makes her very tense about the idea of any team members dying, and potential threats to them.2 points

You can see her now. And yeah, I understand what Rie "wishes" to do in nature but she seems to lack all senses of self-preservation. So much that even Mitsuko had to step in to try and stop her from killing herself. And yeah, while they're trying to warn her of the threat of a thousand magical girl, she also doesn't show a single hint of backing out of that, just wanting to be there anyway. XD The only reason they pulled their weapon is because of the doom threat on Rie but SHE will single handed get everyone killed. Just consider that in any real story (As warned by Shinigami), if there was no rule of no character kill, Rie would have b2 points

I mean I really don't know what Shinigami is trying here. Invading a place full of her enemies, not hiding her presence, and then expecting them to just kinda roll over and say "Sure just go ahead and walk around." seems...odd. Rie is definitely just kinda daring her for it cause...Rie isn't corrupted. She has pretty much no reason to just let that happen. She is, very much, actually dedicated to her job so she kinda had to stay firm on that. I dunno they just refuse to load for me no matter what I do, even on other browsers. They worked before but just broke one day. Its why you aren't seeing too many physical descriptions on my posts2 points

I love how Mitsuko at least tried to de-escalate but Rie only adds more. XD Like, if there was not any rules for not killing characters, she'd be dead without real consequences. In fact, their behavior is proving Shinigami right and it just makes me giggle. Azreal seems to have understood the assignment, at the very least. Rie is putting a "please kill me" sign on her forehead. Edit: The pictures loaded to me because I still had the loaded cache. I fixed them now and I don't know why they pictures actually changed. Azreal seeing the number reach 13 and freeze made his heart race. This wasn't a game he sheathed his sword and looked at Fox and then Rei. He had to agree with a few points the fox said. Rei's temper was getting the better of her but before he say anything he saw the countdown start again and as it dropped into the singled digits he felt something was off. Seeing the fox stop at the counter at one and talk about how Rei's life would be taken he looked at the young magical girl and saw her explode with emotions. He saw the glimpse of courage and sadness as she stood down. He watched this girl..Mitsuko beg Rei to stand down.2 points
