And done! The one thing I love about mystery segments in people's sheets: When certain information comes to light, and it happens to line up JUST right with things you've set up. Whether there's a real connection or not, the fact is a new door was opened that shows a little bit more of what Archer was put in there for. :34 points

The conversation between Anjira, Archer and Sybil was beyond Fera's understanding. They told their truths, but did so in such a manner that the tigress could not follow. She didn't like it though, the way the 'boss lady' smiled. It wasn't the kind of smile that made Fera happy, and she could sense the unease it caused for Archer and Sybil. She could tell that those two were not happy with all the questions, yet Anjira only appeared to thrive as she dug into those painful memories. She was a bad person. Fera wondered why they were even talking to someone this mean, not realizing that their hands had basically been forced, but Fera herself simp3 points

In some small part Sybil's blindness was a boon. She could appreciate...the little sound people made. She could appreciate...the small tells in their tones that might have been over looked by those who could see. What people were? What they looked like? It didn't matter to Sybil. They were all sounds that would ring in her ear. They were all smells, unique...for good and ill. They were touch, memorized spasms and form. They were base things. Fera was an energetic melody, an innocent series of touches that showed both a strength and powers wrapped in warmth. What was it about her? Archer couldn't understand it, but when he saw Fera just... Living her best life in the worst of circumstances, he felt an overwhelming fluffy desire. It was almost disgustingly sweet for someone who hadn't experienced that kind of fond behavior since... Well, since his parents were still alive. However, as he walked with her hand in one of his and her other in Sybil's, he couldn't shake the feeling that it felt like deja but for him... Except he was the young, happy-go-lucky one holding his mother's and father's hands. It was also a welcome distraction from having the ugly parts of his life probed by the vixen, who see3 points

“There are likely some aggregators here somewhere. I’m sure of that, but it's a waste of fuel to kick them on just for one night of light and hot water. If we are going to be without electricity for good, we have to preserve what we have. I know where the power plant is. That’s where we are going first thing in the morning. It’s there, at Solar Hill.” Anjira pointed with her baton in the distance. The hill in question was about two miles away, filled with solar panels and near them was a square shaped building that processed the incoming power. “Arsons… We must look after you so you won’t get a lighter in your hands.” There was a hint of3 points

Celestine didn’t understand what the point of a survival game of some sort would be. No one could see it. Would there be people betting and after some time someone would come to see who was still standing? It all sounded surreal! “It’s approximately 55 miles.” The vulpeculan said after some thinking, counting the number in her head. “Could I have a look? I might not find any more than you have already, but it won’t hurt to have more eyes to look it through.” Celestine thanked after Delmar handed her the logbook. He knew he was asking too much for Fera to remember anything about what happened when she came here. How young was she when it happened? She couldn't remember names either, what was he hoping for if she could remember three specific letters in an arrangement? There was a flicker of anxiety in his eyes before Fera tried to pet him to console his thoughts, but overall... There was no hope of her being able to remember a specific detail like that. For now, he just had to hope there was no relation. "You've got nothing to be sorry for, Fera. You tried your best. I might have just been worried over nothing." Lucas was more right than he knew. Celestine hadn’t been checking him out, but she had noticed he seemed healthy when she had patched up his arm. Someone with severe malnutrition would have been much skinnier, mostly just skin and bones. “If we want to hide a boat, we could row it further away so there won’t be drag marks in the sand and then pull it in the shrubbery. If someone triggered the radio because they don’t want us to contact anyone, it’s likely they would do something to the boats too… Though… Why leave them here then in the first place? Why trigger the radio instead of just taking it away?” There were so many what ifs that i2 points

Delmar looked over at Lucas with a small puckish grin but he didn't say anything. It looked like Red was getting noticed but the man did remove his shirt to try and drape it around the woman even if she rejected it. Del looked back at the two boats "Maybe. We'd need to find a way to make it more seaworthy of course or find someone with enough know how to make one. We got options and we wanna keep those options. Frankly if it comes down to it I'm more apt to die in the attempt than just lay here." He would eat, nodding to Celestine as he ate. It started good, better than the usual prison grub. "Of course. It's not like I haven't eaten in over a week or anything... It's just today. I spend more of my time doing light exercises than I do just sitting around doing nothing. But it gets tiring after a while, and without anything to eat or drink, it gets unbearable." Lucas responded when Celestine noted he looked... Wait, did that mean she had looked at him while he was shirtless earlier? He processed the thought for a moment, before shaking his head and deciding she would be above something like that. The fox was such a prideful creature that he doubted he was anything approaching her standards for a man. Not that it mattered to him eit2 points

Why you look so surprised? Celestine hoped it wasn’t because they actually knew her name. It was possible if they had lived in the same city as she had, but she hoped it was more because they had expected her to keep her name to herself. “Like you said, it makes conversing more convenient. Just Celestine is enough.” The vulpeculan didn’t say that because she was feeling overly friendly with these two, but because she felt like she didn’t deserve her surname anymore. Her family wouldn’t like it being connected to her, so the less she shouted it out the better. “You looked quite healthy for someone suffering from malnutrition… “ Celestine2 points

[Prior Setting] Back at the garage, Fera was trying to make herself as helpful as possible. She didn't fully understand what message Archer was trying to convey to her, however, she did smile at him at the mention of a story. She liked those. She wondered what kind of stories he had to tell her. Archer allowed her the privilege of arrying the toolchest, and Fera's eyes flimmered with excitement when he mentioned headpats. When he started to brush her head, the tigress even let out a pleasant little purr. She was happy, but the moment did not last long. The high fence that was around the farm, not for the animals, but for the convicts seemed intact and the gate was still locked. The convoy stopped and soon the lock was picked open so they could drive inside. The cars parked near a large building that was for breaks and feeding the prisoners who worked on the farm. Next to it was a smaller building, which served as a combined office of the guards and living quarters of the few members of staff who stayed at the farm even at night. Jumi did not have the energy to make anything complicated. Nothing that required cooking or other work. She gathered a few simple quick easy things. Set them on a table. She ate fairly quickly, not overly rushing but not taking her time either. It would not take her very long to eat, not that tended to be the sort to go out to eat. Sure, she enjoyed a good tasting meal, but rarely spent a great deal of time eating. Would she try something more for Mitsuko, maybe put just a little work into it. But there was not time to be too elaborate, and it was not something she was really an expert in. But for now, she ate.1 point

(I swear procrastinating and writing these on the last possible day is just becoming tradition at this point.) Nearly a week had passed since Issac had finished moving. In all of that time, only one thing had been on his mind, and it was the mysterious book he had obtained from the garage sale. Even at that time, as he sat down in a chair, he had the strange book sitting in his lap. The book's covers were dark gray with an agonized face on the front cover. She was still not fond of the situation, but she had made peace with knowing that what she did was for Fera and Archer. It all had to be for them. “Your concern is appreciated, Miss Baudelaire. No one is about to croak right now, so we are going to move to another place. Once we get there, there will be time and place for you to treat those who need it without interference.” Anjira answered on behalf of everyone. They seemed to be in a hurry. If they put all in, they might have been able to take over the whole prison, but it would come at cost. One might think it would be better if there were just a handful of people. "Sometimes you don't like the people you want to like, Archibald...Fera just likes who she likes" Her words were, in a way, a bit poetic, if one botherd digging past the way she used her words to reach the deeper meaning of them. Fera was....so sweet. So innocent. She was like a child. An animal. What cruel fate had landed her here? Sybil's thoughts turned to sorrow as she imagined that Fera had ended up here though no fault of her own. A world so cruel that it could not handle one like Fera, or a dark hand that taken Fera and had used it towards its own end. Fera did not deserve to be there. Whoever, whatever, had put Fera here deserved a fate crueler than whatever had fallen then. Sybil couldn't help but want to protect and shield the cat with all she had. Archer could only smile at Sybil when he saw how positively Fera acted in response to his words, even if Sybil couldn't see. "So, Sybil... I can tell you're a good person with unusual circumstances. I don't know what those were to land you here, but I can see you've got good in you that hasn't been snuffed out yet. Hold fast to it." Archer spoke toward the taller woman, seeing how she treated Fera and worked hard to try to ensure they didn't leave her behind. It may have endangered her just as much to be here in this nest of filth, following the orders and rules of these savages, but it was more merciful to keep an eye on her here than fear f1 point

When Archer revealed his real name the black vixen smiled. This had been a test and had he failed, he would have paid for it later. Anjira had already come up with a suitable punishment, but it would have to wait for now… or she would have to use it on someone. “Time will show who you are, Mister Reid.” In a way, the woman was more intimidating when she smiled than when she had a cold expression on her face. She smiled for the wrong reasons. She let silence fall on them, the background noise of their underlings being busy with backing the cars being the only sound for some time. Fera pouted slightly when Sybil told her her kindness was better used on others...but Fera didn't understand why she couldn't just be kind to others AND Sybil aswell. It wasn't as though there were limitations to how many people she could treat well, right? Even this tiger knew that much. When 'Roger' called Fera thoughtful, the tigress's wide smile could have possibly lit up this room without any need for electricity! She was happy to be complimented, to have her kindness recognized. Although Fera would sometimes have a harder time knowing when someone was being mean to her, she often reacted to actual kindness much better. Perhaps this was1 point

"Understandable... This might have been the first time she was exposed to something like this. The shock is understandable." Lucas folded his arms as he looked toward Celestine and the others. They were doing a good job of taking care of one another for now, perhaps the fox was finally getting over the shock of the moment. Reality was often a harsh mistress, as many in Avonmore found out from life here. Others, like him, learned how harsh she could be long before they arrived at the prison. "Ahahah, so that's where your thoughts goes when I mention the magazines. Fair." Archer rolled his eyes, understanding the fox woman could only draw baseless theories and think he had ulterior motives... Well, it was fair. After being separated for so long, it was probably safe to believe the man who hadn't had any action in forever were more likely to push for it now that their situations were different. However, Archer didn't quite work like that because there were important elements missing from the equation, and lacking those meant... Well, no, the fox had no business to know any of that. There was no way a regular overload could have caused this much destruction. There had been something else behind all of this. The papers were now soiled by the fire extinguisher. Canata silently held the girl longer. Letting her feel the comfort of the other body, her one real source of warmth in the room. She gave the opportunity for a different sort of bonding.
