Below is the terms/examples for the roles that currently exist. 

Night Master/Mistress is the head of the Blackthorne Family, lord of all vampires in the clan and taught to be the leader for the future of the clan. Under normal circumstances, only those with the Blackthorne Blood can truly be a Night Master/Mistress, however should they be defeated or die, the Butler takes over for a temporary time until another of the bloodline is found, for better or worse. The lord vampire is overall the strongest if not oldest and most skilled in combat and knowledge, however this has proven to be false before on rare occasions. 

 

Nightstalker, a secondary leader acting as overall commander of the other ranks. The Nightstalker can be older or younger than the Night Master/Mistress, however they must have great knowledge of warfare, magic, and of the enemy. There can only ever be two of these ranks, as they are extremely important and given to handpicked individuals, referred to as a Prime and Second. 

 

Mistwalker ranks are generalized as moderately powerful, above the "common" vampire, the Mistwalker acts as spies, assassins, and considered elite soldier's above others. While anyone could potentially obtain this rank, they would have to prove their loyalties, skills and strengths to become such. 

 

Corpse-Sowers are the doctors of the Family, having both basic, advanced, and magical knowledge in the medical fields for their Vampires and Humans. They have magic primarily based around medical care, as well as having the requirements to be actual doctors. The head of the Corpse-Sowers is called a Doctor or rather the Grave Warden in professional terms in the Vampiric world, while all others are Nurses or Assistants. 

 

Blooded are the generalized soldiers of the Blackthorne Estate, the common vampire, both strong and weak, are used for any application in combat; between assault to defense, scouting and recovery operations, Vampires that follow understand the role take orders from the Nightstalker, Night Master/Mistress, and oddly enough the Butler. 

 

New Bloods or Fledgelings are the newly turned Vampires or Strays brought into the Blackthorne Estate. They vary in power, as New Bloods are new born Vampires with weak powers, and Strays are often a wildcard. That being said they are weaker than seasoned/older vampires for obvious reasons. 

 

Thralls are the life slaves or servant's of any given Vampire, as they are bonded so too do they receive the gift of endless aging. Thralls are varied as well, as normally the Blackthorne Family take Humans indebted to them or those willingly, however it's not uncommon to see a Thrall be bonded against their will. They can be personal servant's, blood bags, and whatever else a Vampire might want. In some cases few Thrall's have become personal guards for their master's, and as such, they can freely ignore psychological/psychic commands from other vampires depending on bond and how powerful the bond between master and such are.

The Butler, while not in charge of combat, is an advisor and council to the Blackthorne Family as a whole. They can give commands of defense to the Vampiric and common ranks, but can even send then on their own behalf of it is truly important. The Butler, or Head of the Estate, makes sure operations,preparations, and chores are done on the grounds on the regular, truly never a break in sight. There can be several Butlers, but only the "Head" can call the shots, and is entrusted by the Night Master/Mistress

 

Maid is a common worker, normally doing chores and delivering items such as food or clothes to their masters. They are not Thralls, and are to be treated in respect. They follow direct orders from only the Butler and the head of the Family, however they tend to also do favors for everyone else as well if they have the time. Not only are they not to be fed on, but any Maid (even of they are Human or Vampire) abused by any Vampiric ranks will answer to the Butler and the Night Master/Mistress, punishment will follow swiftly and just. 

 

Detective and Guards are two main bodies of security, let them be Human or Vampires, or any undead for that matter. While the Detective is only given to one individual, they are responsible for seeking out intruders, murders, and anything that could harm or be illegal toward the Family. Guards are just that, a main body of defense for keeping out the riffraff and undesirables, they have useful tools to help then do the job, but other than that keep patrols and a watchful eye over the Estate.

Personality: His appearance describes it all: nonchalant, uncaring about what happens mostly, and thinks almost everything including life, Werewolves, Humans, and Vampires are a drag. The guy has insomnia and unfortunately has to take special medication for it, however it only works half of the time as his magic tends to keep him awake. Although he has a tired appearance, Kabiki is well approachable and can talk about any subject. He is extremely smart given his role as Blackthorne's head doctor, and is just as physically powerful just as his magic is. He is also witty, though his voice sounds very uncharacteristic and devoid of emotion. Kabiki was personally trained in a variety of fighting styles and magic arts by Ito Toshiro and had developed hos own style of fighting, paying respect to the Butler but also following a life debt he owes the Vampire. 

Appearance Details: Kabiki is defined by his casual look of a gray shirt, or any loose shirt fir that matter, baggy pants held on by a belt, and of course a white lab coat. He looks drained of energy but is... While not quite the opposite, he just looks tired. There are shades of dark under his eyes, he also always wears reading glasses that is lazily placed on his nose, or a pair of sunglasses... Inside a building. 

Other Details (optional): Kabiki uses a powerful blood magic, manipulating blood and capable of summoning weapons through the magic as well. He also uses fire magic as a primary, however is well versed in using smoke magic which is when be uses that to his advantage. Kabiki is all about the manipulation of the mind, illusions and using psychedelic effects from his smoke, his uses of these three elements are extremely extensive and is unmatched in his unorthodox methods of fighting. While Kabiki is a ranged fighter no doubt, he can also go hand to hand but prefers poisoning a foe than simply beating them to death. He is an extremely quick thinker, always five steps ahead of everyone usually.

Personality: Seraphina is; elegant, intelligent, and dangerously charming. She speaks calmly and deliberately, rarely raising her voice. Her presence feels both comforting and unsettling-like standing near a beautiful but venomous creature.

She enjoys psychological games, teasing people with half-truths and cryptic comments. While she can be playful and flirtatious, there is always a sense that she is watching, calculating, and deciding whether someone is prey… or entertainment.

Despite her cold nature, Seraphina is not purely cruel. She has a strange sense of romanticism and nostalgia for humanity, occasionally showing kindness—though she pretends it means nothing.

She values loyalty, wit, and courage. Weakness and arrogance irritate her.

Appearance Details: Seraphina Valemorte stands at about 5'8", with a slender, graceful build and a posture that carries an almost unnatural elegance, as if every movement is carefully controlled. Her pale ivory skin is smooth like porcelain and seems to faintly glow beneath moonlight. Long midnight-black hair falls in soft waves past her waist, framing a face defined by high cheekbones, a narrow elegant nose, and full dark-rose lips that often curl into a subtle, knowing smile. Her most striking feature is her deep crimson eyes, dark like aged wine in low light but glowing brighter whenever hunger or strong emotion stirs within her. When she smiles too widely, small razor-sharp fangs briefly reveal themselves. Her voice is soft, smooth, and velvety, carrying a calm, hypnotic tone that tends to draw people closer before they realize the danger.
She dresses in dark, aristocratic gothic fashion, often wearing long black velvet dresses, lace corsets, and flowing dark cloaks, paired with delicate silver colored jewelry etched with ancient designs. A silver colored ring set with a blood-red gemstone is always on her finger, something she never removes. She moves with near silent footsteps, leaving behind only the faint scent of night roses and old parchment. Her presence alone creates a strange feeling in others—both alluring and unsettling, like standing too close to something beautiful yet undeniably dangerous. People often find themselves unable to look away for long, sensing an aura around her that feels cold, ancient, and predatory
