Dieter approached the farmhouse nearest to him, wearing his gasmask with one of his hatchets in hand.  Carrying his leather duffel bag on his back, strapped across his chest, he attempted to kick in the door.  As it swung open, he entered the destroyed house and surveyed his surroundings.

The farmhouse is very isolated out here, very apart from the other farmhouses in the area. It looks very rundown and heavily hit by the devastation from the nuclear war. Old farming stuff still stands out though, such as the old tractor that is standing in a nearby building, along with other normal equipment. The house meant for the family is a bit less ruined, but most of the roof is gone and the right side of the place is fully open as well. The front door is barely hanging onto its hinges and lightly squeeks in the wind.

The only signs of nearby life being a few crows making lone noises from the top of some nearby power lines.

Dieter walked further inside, surveying the house for threats as he did so.  He began to search the desolate house for supplies, starting in the kitchen, he began opening draws and cupboards in search of some preserved food or clean water.  He had enough supplies for a while, but in the wasteland...you never know.

The door almost falls of the hinges from the slightest touch made to it, but it manages to still stick on for now.  The old and dusty floorboards creek beneath his feet as he makes his way into the entrance hall, a short hallway with doors to various other rooms and with a staircase at the end of it. Old and faded photographs give a view into a much older time with the various family members looking very much out of time. So far nothing seems too dangerous.

GM: Give me a Perception (seeing) roll, please.
