Is it normal to have roleplay rejection anxiety?

Rejection anxiety has always been a problem for me IRL, and I’m sure many people here can relate. But… even though i’m completely anonymous on here, and I don’t really have any reason to be anxious - I still very much am. Could it be that I’m just insecure of my own writing? Sorry if this post comes off as whiny.

No one likes rejection. But people here tend to be pretty cool. Most of them will be polite if they aren't interested, but some users I've noticed will be unnecessarily aggressive, in which case just leave them alone. It's as easy as "That's okay, have a nice day!" In response.

Try making a thread in the private role play forum with your ideas, maybe you'll get some hits from users you might not expect. I know I have.

But the worst someone can do is say no.

I rarely have ideas that get any traction so I peruse the Private requests and OOC or suggestion threads in the various clubs. I respond to a lot of things but am often met with silence. It happens.

Pixel's right though, this community is, as a whole, polite and friendly. There are a few exceptions but try to remember, it's not REALLY personal.

Im pretty much restating what Pixel and Naughty did, but its good to have confirmation right? Yeah rejection is hard but as stated before its nothing personal, ive had some experiences where I'm outright ignored as it better to just take the hint, some things just dont work out, but its better to at least try than to do nothing.
