I am new to roleplaying, but no stranger to writing. I am willing and able to learn if someone is willing to teach, and I find that I learn rather quickly. I'm looking for anyone or any people who would be interested in this scenario in a long-term roleplaying situation.

Here is my proposal:

The Binary Star System

Background:

Awaken, alone in a world unfamiliar to us. This planet is hostile, eerily familiar, yet foreign all the same; for there is no night on this planet. We are caught on a planet in the middle of a binary star system-- stuck perfectly between two stars orbiting each other. One sun is blue, and the other is gold, and the world reacts differently to each. Strange creatures roam this land; some grow restless in the golden sun, others find strength in the blue.

We come from different worlds, different times, and different cultures. There is no guarantee we will understand each other, or even see each other as friendly. For all we know, the other could be yet another hostile freak of nature trapped on this god-forsaken rock. What's worse is that the planet's two suns seem to affect us as well. Some have inclinations to the gold and others to the blue. Our time spent on this planet has changed us, for the better, we cannot say, but we have abilities that we never had on our homeworlds, and thankfully so to defend ourselves from the native abominations.

Themes:

While technically in the vein of an isekai as an easy descriptor for the genre, it departs from isekai norms while still being familiar. You are invited to create your own homeworld and culture for your OC. Friendly communication is not guaranteed in this scenario, as there is no way of knowing how to understand each other's language, let alone having matching cultural values or body language interpretations. This is first and foremost a story of survival and the connections we may forge in the wake of our exploration in this new, hostile world so far removed from anything we've seen. Interactions are entirely up to your OC's homeworld and cultural norms; you are invited to be as foreign or familiar as you please.

Explaining some specifics:

The planet's binary sun system has had strange effects on our bodies. You may choose whatever those effects may be. For example, say the Golden sun's rise grants you increased strength, agility, and endurance, as well as a "superpower" that you've never had before. Conversely, this would mean during the Blue sun, you would lose those advantages and powers, or even have even further adverse effects-- such as estrus, beastification, blindness, delirium etc. The time of day is dependent on you, and the rate at which you experience time, though it would be nice to have synced times of day. Encounters with native creatures may also be affected by the time of day as well as exposure to either sun's light. You are more than welcome to come up with creatures and the effects the suns have on those creatures on the fly, there is no limit.

You are entirely encouraged and invited to write and run wild with your imagination in this RP scenario. The world is unfamiliar to us all. There is no need or even an inclination to adhere to a sci-fi or fantasy theme. Come up with an OC and homeworld you are happy with, that is all.

An example:

Homeworld: Gliese-8
Gliese-8 is the pragmatically named eighth iteration of the Luyten people's world. Gliese-8 itself is a massive floating island above the original Gliesende-- the actual planet itself. It has been detached from the original Gliesende due to an otherworldly being having taken over the entire planet down to its core, and Gliese-8 is the landmass that the surviving population had forcefully separated and maintains out of range of the black tendrils of the planet-eating entity below. Luyten people are similar to humans biologically, though they possess naturally higher intellect and higher muscle density. The Luytens of Gliese-8 largely no nothing of the world below, and such history has been lost to all but a select few known as the Rosshilde. The Rosshilde are the keepers of Gliese-8, and manage the iterations of their own world with the collaboration of their Gods, fighting off the entity below and maintaining Gliese. The Gods are advanced biological creatures that have evolved to become immortal and have seemingly unlimited control over the world, but their strength is finite. Using the powers of the Goddess of Time, the Rosshilde solve the problem of limited resources on Gliese-8 by constantly resetting the entire timeline. Each reset completes a single iteration of Gliese, and each iteration suffers its own end of the world.
On Gliese-8, the Luyten people are in a pseudo-medieval age but have everyday conveniences such as airconditioning, running water, toilets, and other familiar household technological advances while excluding entertainment, transportation, and communication. They are open minded and exclusively monogamous people. Luyten otherwise are culturally diverse, and are not ones to shy away from war should the need arise. Nations separate Luyten both culturally and geographically on Gliese-8, and while the Luyten people are the dominant species on Gliese-8, they live alongside other intelligent species that are less human-like. There is absolutely no concept of racism on Gliese-8, but there is a universal acceptance of class and caste.

Character: Kayron of Gliese-6
As a member of the Rosshilde chosen by his mentor to survive his iteration of Gliese, Kayron has lived a full life during the mid-point time of Gliese-6, and experienced the end of his Gliese's iteration first-hand at the end of time. Plucked from the time stream by his mentor and trained during Gliese-7, Kayron is a newbie Rosshilde, skilled in combat against multiple non-human targets with a melee weapon, and possesses average intellect for a Luyten. He is open minded, inquisitive, somewhat quiet, and tends to act quickly while still thinking things through in an attempt to minimize risk. He is pragmatic if nothing else, like all Rosshilde must be when combating the entity on Gliesende. He is pansexual and a romantic at heart, though his centuries of training have made him repress that side of him. He is a notorious straight-shooter, and doesn't mince words. This makes him an oddity amongst other Rosshilde.
