[gonna skip time a bit to try to spark interest in this story again] Keiko woke up early the next morning, surrounded by her family. They were all piled up on Vergil as per usual fast asleep. Figuring that people would be waking up soon due to the sunlight slowly wafting into the room, Keiko got up and left the room, heading down to the kitchen. Once there, she got a few ingredients together and started cooking. She had trouble staying awake, though, so she put one of the remaining pizza slices with gummi bears on it in the microwave to heat it up a bit. She could chew on that to get her energy up so she could focus on her cooking without falling asleep on top of it. Angela, however, was very fast asleep, and was buried in bodies so she couldn't get up if she wanted to, anyway. (sorry for the powergaming by dragging everyone to one spot, but I kind of wanted to give this RP a fresh start, and I know Vergil at least likes the idea of everyone sharing the same bed.

side story The Angel of My Dream [RP]
Angela Daring replied to lVergill's topic in Family's Household
Angela smiles through Vergil's response and giggles a bit when he's done. "Sorry. I didn't mean to imply that you aren't reliable. I know you are - you're practically supporting this family by yourself. I was just trying to explain why I'm having such a hard time... opening up, I guess. Besides, it's not like I haven't changed already. I tease people around here a lot more now than I did then. Being around Keiko helped with that." She hugs Vergil, letting herself forget what he just asked her to do with him a moment ago. "Thanks for understanding," she says softly. Then she reminds herself of why she's here, and, to make sure he doesn't think her saying that means she isn't interested, she kisses him passionately. -
side story The Angel of My Dream [RP]
Angela Daring replied to lVergill's topic in Family's Household
Angela closed her eyes and sighed, hearing Keiko's voice in her head. "No, I'm sorry. I'm being too judgemental. Old habits die hard." Angela sat beside Vergil, but kept her hands to herself for the moment. "There are no schools where I come from. Parents are expected to teach their children no matter what their other responsibilities are. Failure to do this is a grievous dishonor. So, as a young girl, I was told to take caution in choosing a lover, because the man that makes me a mother would need to be reliable to help with the child's education. I know I don't live there anymore, and I'm not saying you're not dependable, it's just... well,, I took that lesson to heart a little too well. I've... never had a lover before as a result. Though to be fair, joining the military didn't give much time to pursue romance, but that... that was some time ago, now." She sighed again, and slid her arm across his shoulders, letting it rest on them. "Honor is... well, it was the backbone of my homeland's civilization. It's a hard thing to let go of, but it's something I haven't needed to worry about for a long time. So, I'm sorry that this is so difficult for me." -
"Shuya recovered from whatever was going on with him. That dark thing. He took a potion to lower his fever, but he still isn't feeling well. I'll sit him down on the family bed and let you two take over watching him if you want," she explains, wanting to be close to the kitchen when Angela returns. When she returns to the kitchen, she gives Nick a hug. "Shuya's gonna be okay. Rei and Ru are watching him."
-
Keiko leapt out of her seat to grab Shuya, but she wasn't quick enough to keep him from falling on the ground. "Oh, jeez," she muttered, lifting him up. "I'll be back soon, Nick," she added, carrying Shuya to the family bedroom.

side story The Angel of My Dream [RP]
Angela Daring replied to lVergill's topic in Family's Household
Angela unknowingly clenched her fists, her subconscious suspicions proven right. "I had a feeling you would change your mind," she says nonchalantly, forcing herself to unclench her fists. "I'm glad you asked. It's a show of honesty that I appreciate. Still, if you were going to have me as a lover, I would rather you said so from the start. Asking me to see you as a brother only to ask this after the fact... well, it complicates things." -
Keiko watched Vergil lead Angela away and furrowed her brow. She didn't know what his intentions were, but she knew what to do if he did anything bad to her sister. After a moment, though, she realized she had no reason not to trust Vergil and calmed down. Turning her head to check on Shuya, she saw him after he'd changed. "Are you feeling okay, now?" she asked, looking happy that he was back to normal.

side story The Angel of My Dream [RP]
Angela Daring replied to lVergill's topic in Family's Household
When she realized where Vergil was taking her, she began feeling nervous, which was unusual for her. "What did you have in mind?" she asked defiantly, refusing to show her weakness. -
"Huh? Sure. We're just about done," Angela says calmly, taking off her apron and following Vergil out of the kitchen. "I'm not sure," Keiko admitted, worried about Shuya as well. With everyone gone but her and Nick, she sat down behind him. "I hope everyone is okay, though."
-
"I don't mind you helping out," Angela, who had put a white apron over her sleeveless black shirt and black denim pants, said with a shrug. Keiko stopped cleaning when she noticed Shuya, and walked over to him, wrapping him in a hug. "Shuya, are you okay?" she asked, giving him her saddest "i'm worried about you" face.
-
Angela and Keiko stay back, and let Rei and Ru take care of Shuya, choosing instead to return to the kitchen to clean up together.
-
Keiko followed after Shuya, unknowingly alongside Rei and Angela. "Shuya, you saved her! Don't be sad," Keiko blurted out, which caught Angela by surprised. "Shuya, you alright?" Angela asked, noticing the difference in his appearance.
-
"Actually, I should get going," Angela said with a smile, sheathing her weapons. "Besides, I still got that huge gummy worm you gave me to finish off." With that, Angela gave dream Ru a hug before allowing her mind to slide back into her body. Once that was done, Angela opened her eyes and stood up. "Is Ru okay?" Keiko asked, to which Angela shrugged. "Seems to be. I was right in thinking there was an evil spirit tormenting her, but it vanished before I could vanquish it. She's fine, now, though. Having a nice dream." Keiko only seemed saddened by this. "Sorry I doubted you, Shuya-nii," she sighed.
-
Keiko would hug Rei when she saw her burst into tears. "It's okay, Rei. Angie and Shuya will help Ru. She'll be okay soon," she said, holding Rei tight. Keiko gave Shuya an odd look when he went to pour something else down Ru's mouth. "Shuya, will you tell me what that is before you give her that? Please don't be offended, because I know you want to help, but I don't want Ru getting another bad reaction to... whatever that is." Angela stayed toe to toe with the demon, matching its speed despite wielding larger and heavier weapons. Angela was experienced in her fighting style, having fought in wars with those two weapons in particular. She couldn't access her Elemental Shift without her body, but she didn't need it. She wasn't afraid of this demon, and would destroy it if she could.
-
"...not everybody reacts to the same thing in the same way, Shuya," Keiko sighed, worrying for both Angela and Ru, now. "Each person is at least slightly different than everyone else." Keiko stayed silent for a moment, but Shuya got her attention by asking if he could help Angela. "...I don't know. I've ever only seen Angela do this for me before, and I was always asleep during. I never asked her how she does it before. I mean, you can mimic what she's doing physically right now and try, but I can't promise anything."
-
Keiko quickly went from worried, past disappointed, straight to angry. "You gave her DEMON BLOOD of all things!? Without even TESTING IT ON HER to see how she'd REACT TO IT first!? No WONDER she's having nightmares! There's probably a DEMON in her right now, that entered her dreams the way Angie did..." Once she mentioned Angela, she calmed down, going back to being worried. She turned aside to focus on Angela and pouted. "I hope Angie's okay."
-
Keiko looked at Shuya with a mixture of concern and disappointment. "What blood? Did you give Ru the nightmares, Shuya? Angie is helping Ru right now." Angela sat next to Ru with her arms and legs crossed and her eyes closed, obvlivious to everyone outside of Ru's nightmare.
-
In Ru's dream, Angela was quick to get her blade in between Ru's and her evil side's weapon. "Why don't you take your bloodlust out on me, pemdeht!" she roars, bringing her off-hand sword against the evil Ru's throat. In the outside world, Angela sat there with her eyes closed while Keiko and Rei (and Vergil if he followed Angela) watched. "I hope whatever Angie's doing works," Keiko muttered under her breath. She'd never seen Angela help anyone but her with nightmares before, so she didn't know what Angela was doing. She knew Angela got results, though, so she had faith in her.
-
Keiko stood by the entrance to Rei's room, looking beside herself with worry, while Angela walked in and stood beside Ru. After a moment of looking at her, her eyebrows furrowed. "She's not just having a nightmare. Something's attacking her." Angela took a step back, and sat crosslegged on the floor, closing her eyes. After a moment, she opened them, finding herself in the Astral Realm. In Rei's bedroom, however, her eyes were still closed. In the Astral, Angela quickly located Ru's essence and focused on it like she would a crystal. Before long, she felt her consciousness falling into Ru's essence. Wherever Ru was in her nightmare, she would see Angela standing beside her. ((tl;dr Angela entered Ru's nightmare.))
-
"Oh, no!" Keiko gasped. "Lemme go get Angie real quick. She always helps me when I'm having nightmares!" she said, hugging Rei back to help calm her down before rushing back to the kitchen. Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Angela is finishing her last slice of pizza when Vergil walks in. In response, she pulls back her shirt to reveal her shoulder, which has completely healed. "Thankfully, Yuuto got the bullet out for me. It wouldn't have healed properly, otherwise." "Angie!" Keiko yelled when she made it to the kitchen. "Come quick! Ru needs help!" Hearing the panic in Keiko's voice, Angela didn't ask questions. "Sorry, Verge. I'll be back shortly," she said before running off after Keiko. A few moments later, Keiko returns with Angela "Where is she?" Angela asks Rei, looking a bit worried herself.
-
After supper, Keiko left the kitchen to stretch her legs, wandering aimlessly around the house. This would also be her opportunity to check in with people who weren't still in the kitchen or training area. As it so happened, Keiko was close to Rei when she started asking for Yuuto. 'Rei? What's wrong?" she asked, worried about how panicked Rei seemed to be.
