Dark Woods

Given its name,  the Dark Woods is the densest, and deepest part of Pine Heath. It is filled with swamps, bogs, and creatures lost time that could potentially be as dangerous as Werewolves! It is also a great place to get herbs and such that don't grow anywhere else...

(@BigBadWolf this is the start of out dark rp bwuahaha!)

Samara had stomped out of the mansion in a huff upset from how she had gotten into an altercation with Keiko. The girl was being cold and distant and she knew it was because she had been with someone else. Samara should have just lied and said she didn't enjoy it. Things were not going the way she planned. It was supposed to be easy, get impregnated and have a pup and live happy and be a good leader for the pack. Adjusting her back pack she decided she was going to take some time off. Looking at her phone she would then begin to type out a message to the Alpha.

@BladeRunner Austin: Hey! Me and Keiko had a fight. I need a few days to recollect myself. I wont be at the mansion for a bit. The new Beta will take over and help out. Thanks in advance. :3

Pressing the send key she was happy and done with the whole issue. She needed a reset and this was the perfect time to do so. She was going to head to a cabin in the woods where she normally would go to disconnect and re-center herself with nature. Walking down the dark path in the ever darkening woods she would feel on edge some. They never felt this intensely sullen before. It was too quiet and like the life in this nook of the woods was gone. This was strange and worth noting for the clan later on. It seems to coincide with some reports of dangerous beasts roaming around. They had been dormant for a while so this was very interesting to witness up close for herself. Little did Samara know that she was going to be in for the fight of her life.

The woods have grown much darker in recent weeks, the animals, insects, and birds have all but disappeared or are they just hiding? The fog had rolled into this part of the dark woods, but it only came up as far as Samara’s knees, the ground was damp like traversing a bog, but she had been here enough to avoid all that muck that would slow her down. The trip towards the cabin was silent, painfully so you could almost hear your own heartbeat, what could disturb the wildlife so much that nothing was active? The answer would fall upon Samara as she arrived at the cabin, what she saw was the last thing she would have wanted to encounter, what made it worse was that this far out had zero phone signal as she needed to be further out even to get a single bar.

What stood before her was a creature in dirty black fur, the sound of bones being crunched on and rending of flesh, on the floor laid two humans and male and female, young by what was left of their mangled faces, no doubt a young love ran from home to avoid the disdain of their families opinions on their relationship but such love has cost them their lives. The creature turned was facing away from Samara but eventually stopped as he caught onto her scent. When the creature stood up fully, surprisingly being only 6ft in height, the head slowly turned to face Samara, drooling blood and chunks of meat on the floor, its teeth have pieces of flesh and hair from the corpse it has feasted on, its eyes white as snow giving the appearance the creature is blind, but this appears in no doubt what the infamous Black Wolf, the supposed last member of the Black Fang, one of the few things that both vampires and werewolves dare not encounter especially alone.

Seeing Samara, the black wolf started to grin which caused more blood and meat to spill from his maw onto the blood-soaked ground as he stood intimidating with his feral appearance, yet the creature has yet to make a move at Samara….yet

Having arrived at the cabin it left her without much awareness as she was so deep in thought. The forest was too quiet and she was alone with her thoughts about Keiko. It was frustrating and made her yearn for her mate all the more. Samara could get in her own way sometimes; being the type A personality that she was, it wasn't hard to see how stubborn she had been. Then Samara came up upon a most gruesome scene. How could this have happened?! Weren't there other clans in the area besides Midnight? The hair all over her body began to stand up; RUN they screamed at her to run for her life as that 'thing' was no longer a wolf like herself. Maybe at some point in time but not now. How horrible to see humans ripped apart. Then again it was not a wolf so it put her a little at ease as it was not a pack member.

Watching that monstrosity turn towards her, her nostrils filled with the stench of blood and rot. Her face grew pale looking at it's features. Furrowing her brows she growled baring her much more tame teeth in comparison. Letting her back-pack fall to the ground she tossed it to the side before gaining the courage over her initial fear. This intense aura of bloodthirst prickled over her skin like electricity and needles. She was trembling, she had no one to contact and she wasn't much of a howler so the thought didn't even come to mind. No one would be looking for her and that was fine, she was okay with dying if she could take out this beast with her. Transforming into her own black wolf form in a puff of black fur and ripped clothes she stood in her seven foot wolf form, growling and snarling at the maw. There was no point in words, that thing lost it's humanity a long time ago. Side stepping and keeping her body low, those bright silver orbs didn't dare blink as it might attack suddenly and she wanted to be ready.

The wolf white dead eyes stare at her as she seems to get some courage, just as it was about to make its movie, he watched the female drop her back and begin to transform, it narrowed its eyes for a moment before halting its advance, despite the fact Samara became taller than the monster before her, it didn’t seem to care, with the height advantage and her vision increased, she would see beneath some of the cracks in this creature fur the many scars along its snout and chest, marks of a seasoned warrior. Once she had turned into her full form, the creature seemed to give a rather unsettling smile before licking its lips. It seems to suddenly lower its frame down to the ground until its head is almost touching the ground, one claw extended out and resting on the floor. Its hind legs began to dig into the corpse's body the fog seems to cover its face from view, not giving her any expression of display of emotion on its face. She would see its back suddenly nudge, at first the position would make it obvious it was going for a direct lunge but something else was at play.

When the creature suddenly lunged, it didn’t lunge at her, it seemed to lunge off to the side into the air and land straight onto a nearby tree and by the time she could find out where he landed he propelled himself again from the tree with his right hand curled into a fist aiming to strike for Samara’s head, if the attack connected, the creature would suddenly follow up with a heel kick with its left leg right into Samara’s ribcage attempting to knock the wind out of the large werewolf, despite his size this wolf was fast. If the initial attack failed, the wolf would attempt to use Samara's own size against her and use his feet to kick off her chest to bounce back at the same distance leaving a gap between the two.

Samara's fur was standing up to make herself look bigger, teeth snarled showing her own fangs though clearly not as fangtastic as the opponent in front of hers but still impressive for a female wolf in her clan. She was the tallest woman and one of the strongest, she wasn't going to let this mutt get the best of her, not now. Hands out to her sides in a receptive pose she unsheathed her claws showing her determination to fight. Running was not an option, not to mention she didn't know what this thing was. A wolf or a monster this must have been what old horror stories about their kind were made out of. It made her muscles tremble in anticipation; ears flicking around listening to it's body move in response to her readiness. Her heart beat flooded her ear canals as she was brought back to silence as fog surrounded the other so easily. For being all black this thing was a masterful stealth expert. Guerilla warfare it seemed as the crunching of bone and slosh of mud alerted her to his sudden rush of fur and blood.

Quickly she turned to see the beast attempt to blind side her with a recoiled spring on a tree trunk, causing the tree to buckle and crack upon impact of its powerful hinds. Ducking out of the way she then would bring her arm down to block his leg but was too late and the impact flung her onto the ground and bounce once before flipping and taking her stance once more. Her ribs clearly cracked but no broken, she was much sturdier and would require a real beat down in order to start breaking her bones fully. With the distance she then would sprint and immediately from his gaze get down to swipe her legs to knock him down. If this landed it would be a free fall for her to attack. If not she decided to use a clawed palm strike towards the beasts maw to knock it on the ground. The adrenaline coursing through her now was just like back when the clans were at war with the leeches. She enjoyed fighting to some extent it let her know where she stood and it earner her, her title in the clan. Still all of this was for not if she couldn't land an attack on the fucker.

Once its leg connected with Samara's ribs, the swift wolf moved away gaining some distance and seemed like it was a wise choice as she recovered quickly, the wolf took note of her endurance, he stood some distance away curling his fists cracking his knuckles with a deep head crack and the moment he finished he watched as she also went straight for him. The wolf's instinct was to raise his hands to cover his face from an incoming blow, not expecting a tactic of trying to knock him down, the sweep caught him by surprise. His legs swept under him and just as he was about to hit the ground, the wolf countered with his claws grabbing the dirt and suddenly began swirling his legs in a helicopter motion, aiming directly for her jaw, if the first one connected the second, third and fourth would follow up, either way, if his attack connects or not, he would push himself off the ground getting some air time.

He would land close to the corpses of the couple he found, if the wolf stayed afar or tried once again to close the gap, the wolf would quickly grab the female corpse of the mangled human and with ferocity and precision would fling it right at her, if this person was alive, the impact from whatever it hits would be instant death as he was like a pitcher throwing his best throw that would win the season, this power in throw was shown by his left leg kicking backward during the toss to extend the reach and power into his throw, this throw, however, had a wind-up, so if the wolf managed to dodge it, the black wolf would be open for a counter.

Samara was in a pickle. Honestly she should have just left and went to get help, but her pride wouldn't let her see past the blinders. The beast landed a good hefty blow to her chin as she was knocked back, stunned from the action. Her equilibrium was off, it was a much more powerful kick than she had anticipated and she wasn't able to dodge which sucked. Then came the next on and the next, finally she got her hands up to guard but she had already hit the ground. The momentum of witch made her slide against the ground. Pawing at the ground she hung her head feeling like she was going to hurl from how dizzy those kicks made her. shaking it off as best she could she would stand up and spit out the blood that was in her mouth from the impact. Glaring at the monster she began to growl baring her fangs once more even more pissed off than before.

Though to her surprise she was too late to stop the mangled corpse being flung in her direction. Her eyes squinted as she strained to get her body to move how she wanted. Instead she was hit with the bloody mess feeling the body break apart. The impact flung her back again; this fucker was playing dirty in the worst kind of way. Now she was blind with blood in her eyes and crashed into a near by tree feeling something pop out of place leaving her at a loss of breath. The Beta was not this weak but it had been many a moons since she fought someone and she rarely lost if it wasn't against the Alpha. A sense of helplessness began to take place of her rage as she sat up to her knees. it was her left arm, she popped it back into place with a loud groan only to stand her ears twitching to every little sound the beast would make. If she didn't do something soon she would lose and se personally didn't want to be that things meal.
