Then there was Her touch...

Austin again felt relief and warmth as Brigita wrapped her elegant fingers around his large bear paw of a hand. Life as leadership wasn't easy, the one's you love go away no matter how much you held them and your enemies remained no matter how hard you killed them. Though all of his goes were vanquished, the Alpha still has death as a competitor but even he knew that its spirit was a friendly one, but those who delivered it weren't. It was hard to let the past rest especially when one is so fond of its memories, and he held onto those memories and cherished them from the good to even the bad; it's what made him the man he is today. 

"Mm..." Austin let loose a low and soft grumble at Brigita's request, suddenly feeling embarrassed. He readjusted his attitude and paid more mind to the woman in front of him, saying, "I... Would not mind. If you do not want it, I will not force it up on you. It would help with a Luna by my side, but whatever you decide is up to you. Even if you choose not to be a Luna it would be nice to... Have you once more." 

That old flame was still alive and burning, though smoldering from years gone it was obvious that Austin indeed missed Brigita in more ways than one. Just as he was about to continue, Shelly had conveniently or inconveniently arrived with two mugs. One of coffee, and the other of the Early Gray tea on a small plate with two miniature bowls of a lemon and the other of honey. The older woman set the two down, the coffee in front of Austin and obviously the tea to Brigita. 

"Alright, sugar is against the wall there if you haven't noticed it yet. Food's on the way, so it'll be a few minutes. You kids need anything just holler." Shelly said straightening herself up and walking away into the kitchen.

Brigita remembered those deep grumblings in his throat. They always made her heart flutter a bit, he was dangerous and yet everything he did excites her even now. Though hearing him made her eyes widen as she squeezed his hand tighter for reassurance. It was like rekindling an old flame for real. She thought he wouldn’t want an older female such as herself but his thoughtful words made her feel better, more assured in her decision. His final words sent her flesh on fire as her breath hitched a moment in surprise. For an older wolf he made her feel young and desirable with that one comment. And yes she was young in terms of her human appearance but still it was nice to hear the yearning in his words. 

“You misunderstand… I…!!” She jumped slightly not having been aware of Miss Shelly coming back. The inconvenient timing had made her stumble over her words and be silent as she gave an awkward smile, the fresh scent of Earl Grey in her nose. “Thank you so much Miss Shelly.” Being polite as ever to one of the few humans she enjoyed being around. As the woman left she would turn her attention to the lemons in front of her. Brigita didn’t want to let go of his hand, her hesitance was evident by how she would try to at least have a finger touching his skin. It was almost desperate as she squeezed the lemons in her tea and added two packets of sugar. Stirring her tea the words struggled on her lips before she set the spoon down on the paper napkin and would release his hand. 

“Austin… I would be honored to be your Luna and what ever else you need me to be. I can see you are tired, it lingers on your brow and in your voice. I’m not a fragile pup and I know I can do my duties well.” Her voice was more sure of herself as she looked him dead in the eye; a glint of a lustful ambition began to take hold. “I’m trying to be a lady and not seem so emotional or starved for attention but Austin I have missed you so much. Even to embrace you once more would bring me to my knees. I want you, and I want to help you.” Straight forward and clearly her face was flushed but it wasn’t embarrassment so much as it was her wolf feeling for his. A connection only their kind could exchange. “So if you agree I will go through the rite and tests necessary.” Finally she took a nice gulp of the hot tea to calm her nerves as she laid herself bare on her intentions to the invitation.

Austin felt his heart slightly increase in speed as Brigita was as truthful as she always was. Her heartfelt confession struck deep into the large man, and of course she would accept to take on the role of Luna. It wasn't necessarily the fact Austin was struggling but rather it would give him some leeway for free time or getting important tasks done, the latter usually more than the former. But having a familiar face with tears of experience would greatly benefit not only him but the rest of Midnight as well. 

Of course, there was that burning desire for Brigita too. His first love and now that Austin thought of it, most likely his last, not only having the desire for physical touch but emotional too. He couldn't remember the last time he embraced someone and just held them quite like the blonde in front of him. Most of the females in the pack lusted and not in the snuggling kind of way either, instead they all just wanted to bang. Despite Austin wanting to just hold Brigita, there was that feeling of pinning her down but that would have to come later; instead he wanted to hold her simply again, this time just falling asleep in each other's arms like the old days. 

"Then have me you shall," Austin nodded and continued, "Trials and rites will initiate when you're ready one of these days. Thank you for taking this task, I... Was afraid of taking another Luna a few weeks ago, but luckily I have a familiar and one I could hold by the roaring flames."

Seeing the slight changes in his facial features had her give him a soft knowing smile. Even his shoulders seemed to relax at her confirmation of his invitation. She would put her experience to good use here and he would actually, hopefully, listen when she had decent advise to give. Unlike her last Alpha he didn't respect or like her either so it was tumultuous time. Still even through those challenges she got lucky and came out unscathed. First loves never truly die do they? He was looking at her as if time never passed between the both of them. It had been far too long since either of them had meaningful relations with others and still never getting what they truly needed. Love. 

Brigita would blink a few times coming out of her thoughts when he confirmed her wants. Her heart fluttering, her temperature rising, her wolf wanting to meet his once more. "Good...I think I need you as much as you need me." Another sip of the tea and she set it down leaning forward onto the table. Her gaze meeting his as she was leaving the table open half way for him to meet her affections. "I can be ready now or whenever. Afterall I'm going to be joining you in those roaring flames." Giving him a cheesy smile she would move some of her hair behind her ears and look to him with longing in her big blue eyes. "W-Would it be too much to ask for a kiss? I would even settle for a hug." She shrugged her shoulders a little trying to be flirty and cute for her Alpha.
