The Pegasus.

gallery_2_6_203980.png

The Pegasus is a News Coporation based within Blackberry Falls. It is a very popular alternative to mainstream News media. The Pegasus has a different attitude when it comes to telling the News. They firmly believe that the citizens of the world deserve Truthful news, without all the bullshit. They work hard to expose the truth, no matter how bad it may be. Even if it embarrassing for any Government, they will announce it publicly as they feel that the citizens deserve to know what is going on around them.

They encourage people to think critically, and to ask questions of anyone in authority. They tell everyone that the Government works for them, and therefore should answer any questions that citizens have. The Pegasus is often seen as a tongue news corporation from the Government as The Pegasus has known to leak a lot of embarrassing details about them. Like with the recent Mass Surveillance Scandal involving the US and UK Governments. The Pegasus received a copy of the leaked documents and have been publishing them through their news reports, on the radio, in their newspapers and on Television.

They have received warnings from the Government to stop publishing the documents, however The Pegasus refused and continued what they were doing. After another News company was raided by the Government and had their copy of the documents destroyed, the CEO of the company, Caerwyn, put all the information onto a secure laptop and sent the laptop with one of his Journalists to the UFF as their laws would protect the data. He hopes that this way, they had nothing in the building and yet still held a copy.

The Pegasus also has Investigative Journalists who investigate governments and corporations for any corruption. They strongly support investigative journalism as it helps expose corruption and how the everyday citizen is unfairly treated. They support it so much, that they welcome other investigative journalists to investigate The Pegasus. When asked why, Caerwyn responded, "Why not? If there is any kind of corruption in my company, I want to know about it. I am not going to preach one thing, and then do the other. It's completely illogical."

Due to the threats of Press Restriction from the UK government, The Pegasus headquarters will be moving to the UFF so that they can report without fear of persecution. They are still going to work within Blackberry Falls City and will have a branch there. News will also continue to be reported about Blackberry Falls. They may appear to be biased towards the UFF, especially with the documentary they did on Keza Corp, however there is genuinely nothing fishy going on. They have pointed out mistakes that the UFF have done, and the UFF responded to change that mistake. But no matter how hard The Pegasus tries to find something wrong with the UFF, corruption is something rarely encountered.

There was one scandal that briefly occurred. There were reports of corruption within Keza Corp, about Tripp using his Xeno, Dez'rarzii, to control and manipulate business partners. These reports were given to The Pegasus in the form of video footage of Dez'rarzii fucking Leila, making her addicted to him. This was instrumental in getting Leila to sell her company, The Kitsunetsuki, over to Keza Corp and putting her on their pay roll. The Pegasus asked for an interview with them and they accepted, appearing on UFF TV only, and seemed deeply embarrassed that this was found out. After Makayla confirmed that Leila was not under his control at the moment, Leila told them that she willingly submitted to Tripp and that she had wanted it. She also claimed that she would have sold her company to him even if he wasn't using his addictive cum on her as she knew he would take care of the girls who worked for her. It soon became clear that this was a private agreement between the two of them, and The Pegasus publicly apologised to the two of them for helping to expose this.

The Staff.

Here is a list of the current staff at The Pegasus. If you would like your character to join the work force, please EcchiText me for more details. I have yet to do a Job Centre form, because I am not sure as to the kind of positions characters can have in this company. I'm open to suggestions.

gallery_2_6_10799.jpg

Position: CEO of The Pegasus.
Name: Caerwyn Cadwalder.
Age: 34.
Species: Human/Pegasus hybrid.
Height: 6ft3.
Weight: 154lbs.
Nationality: Currently British, but will be recieving UFF citizenship soon.
Information: Caerwyn is a quiet, contemplative seeming man. He is deeply passionate about his job and getting the truth delivered to the people as he feels that citizens should know what their governments are up to. He tries to encourage critical thinking, and for people to ask questions of authority. Other news corporations have attempted to find scandals on him to discredit him. They often talk about his rather lax views on sex, and have tried picturing him to be a sleazy man that was condemmed to go to hell. Caerwyn publicly laughed at these comments, telling them frankly that he didn't care how they tried to make him out to be. He is extremely stubborn, and will not budge on his views towards Press freedom and the public's need to know the truth. Despite the fact that he is the CEO of a multi-million news corporation, he has a relatively low wage and doesn't take bonuses. When he is given one, he splits them all up between all of his staff so they get a bonus equally.

Position: Investigative Journalist.
Name: Jayne Hawthorne.
Age: 21.
Species: Primarily human, with a tiny mix of Keza.
Height: 6ft1.
Weight: 114lbs.
Nationality: UFF citizen.
Information: Jayne is an investigative journalist within The Pegasus. She was the youngest ever hired, as the moment she left University, she uncovered a large operation where factories were using Illegal Immigrants as hard workers with long hours and little pay. Since then she has worked hard to uncover corruption and delivering the truth. So was the one that investigated Keza Corp and could not find anything wrong with the place. But even though she didn't find anything, she still released the documentary. She has been asked by Caerwyn to take a breifcase to the UFF and ask for asylum. She agreed not only because she knew there were important documents the public must know about, but because her boyfriend was becoming increasingly worse and she needed to escape him.

Position: Anchorwoman.
Name: Vicky Baker.
Age: 29.
Species: Human.
Height: 5ft2.
Weight: 102lbs.
Nationality: British/American, but will be moving to the UFF.
Information: Vicky is a small, sweet faced anchorwoman that most citizens of Blackberry will see when the news is on The Pegasus news channel. She's very friendly, gets along with most people and is usually a very happy woman. She's married, but the marriage is falling apart since her husband lost his job and has become extremely slovenly and neglects her. But she is very happy when at work and puts her best effort into it.

Name: Sally Clark
Age: 32
Species: Human.
Height: 5ft11.
Weight: 135lbs.
Nationality: British/American, but will be moving to the UFF.
Information: Sally is the person most citizens see when they see the weather report. She appears quite calm and proffessional, but off camera she's a very lively, bubbly person. She's quite extroverted, and loves spending time around other people, especially friends. She is a single mother by choice with two children.

Age: 23.
Species: Human.
Height: 6ft3.

The workplace.

gallery_2_6_28788.jpg

This is the Blackberry Falls City branch, the former Headquarters of The Pegasus. When the company moves to the UFF, they will have a new HQ there, but this branch will remain operating.[i/]

The Pegasus is a nice, relaxed place to work in. Sometimes, things can get hectic when an emergency comes up, but usually things are quite relaxed. Caerwyn actively gets involved with the work around the company, helping his employees and advising them the best he can. He is quite approachable and even the janitors are known to approach him to speak with him and he would pay them attention as he feels they deserve. As long as someone doesn't constantly mess up or get into trouble, they will find working here to be a pleasant experience.

gallery_2_6_486105.jpg

When the news isn't being read, this News Studio is actually just an empty room with a single Keza Corp smart table. The Pegasus use VER technology to create their News Studio. It also makes it easier to have images and messages appear on the screen. They also don't need to use a green screen with the weather. They can make this room appear as small or large as they want, and easily switch between news reporters. The table where the anchorwoman/anchorman sits is a smart table so that they can easily flick through reports and display anything beside them for the views. This can be very useful when an emergency occurs, as the information would be sent to her table and they can immediately stop what they are going and begin reporting the breaking news.

There are several staff rooms dotted around the building where staff can gather together and talk to one another as they take their break. It is somewhere for people to retreat away from their job and either prepare something for themselves to eat using their kitchen (Kitted out with Keza Corp Smart Appliances) or sit down in the seating area and watching television. There are even DVDs and books on shelves that can use freely. Although unless it is theirs, they cannot take it out of the staff room. The glass coffee table isn't just a coffee table. It is one of their Keza Corp smart tables that staff are free to use.

gallery_2_6_1228.jpg

If staff don't fancy cooking themselves something to eat, or bringing something from home, there is a cafeteria on the ground floor. This cafeteria is open to the public, however staff with a valid The Pegasus staff card will get their meals for free. The public need to buy their food. It contains good quality food that is served on site with their own kitchens and well trained chefs.

gallery_2_6_9011.jpg

Caerwyn has a modest office, not decorated with that much. The main feature of the room is the wooden table. Imbedded within the table is a Keza Corp Smart Table surface that allows him to do his work on it. If the door is open, which it is most of the time, then people are free to enter to speak to him. He tries to be as available as possible to all of his staff. But when he is in a meeting, he will close the door which is a sign that he is not to be disturbed. While Caerwyn may spend most of his time in this office, he will try and get out to talk to people.

No character may damage/destroy anything on the property as it would be considered vandalism. The Police will be called and there may be consequences. Anyone may enter the building, but without a staff pass, or signing in as a visitor, they will not get access to the building past the reception and cafeteria. So you cannot have your character come in to use the cafeteria and somehow ending up on the News Studio.

Friendly Notice: I am currently in the process of updating my Character ID's and Extra Information topics relating to Blackberry Falls, please be patient with me as this is neither a quick or easy process. This extra information thread was written when I was much, much younger and thus it should be considered largely out of date.
The United Federation of Families [UFF]
      1) Introduction
The United Federation of Families is a peaceful collective, made up of groups of races who wish to completely co-exist with each other in the name of cooperation and peace. [it is the beginning "roots" of the EPSI Federation which has people new and old.]
The UFF was founded by Talivana Eldyrannth, Kaylarvana Eldyrannth, Triavana Eldyrannth and a group of Coda'zotoxi, and the UFF consisted almost entirely of Coda'zotoxi people. But it had always been open to the 'Children of Epsus'.
The five races who entered this agreement in the 21st Century are:
Keza'maraki - Human's believe they look an awful lot like Neko's. Mako'demeri - Human's believe they look an awful lot like Wolf Anthros. Coda'zotoxi - Human's believe they look an awful lot like Fox Anthros. Zeta'muluri - Human's believe they look an awful lot like Dragon Anthros. Xeno'vitiri - Human's have not ever seen a Xeno'vitiri. (BUT if they did, Angel/Demon). DO NOT CREATE A CHARACTER WHO IS ANY ONE OF THESE WITHOUT PERMISSION.
This is an original creation, yes using elements of both real life and stuff already done but the people, their culture, their history, is work of the collaboration and hard work that those who are allowed to play it have put into it. Whilst it's okay to have a fox anthro for example; and I can't stop you. It's not okay to have a Coda'zotoxi unless I, or anyone authorised say's so. Also the surnames (species names) fit a certain format that can't be replicated by accident, do not attempt to make your own species that replicates the format of their names as there is a specific reason for their format. I purposefully picked specific patterns so that it couldn't be "Just by mistake". Once again; can't stop you from having something similar, but not if it conforms to all of the patterns. (Thanks.)
Before then, the Keza'maraki and Mako'demeri were at war since the 13th century, and more recently the Zeta'muluri and Xeno'vitiri went to war.
The UFF did have a temporary HQ in Blackberry Falls. The location of which was classified and driving to/from had to be done blindfolded with a contracted driver. The location of this is still classified, and the driver has since been assigned another job with the UFF. What is housed there today is unknown, not many people are aware of it's existence and even then where exactly it is no one seems to know. It's not likely anyone in the UFF knows either due to the security protocols. [Not known by anyone other than SMFoxy's characters; as it's a CODA base]
In 2010 they proven that they had military experience (thanks to the joining of the joint Keza and Mako forces) as they along with Keza Corp retook the Keza'maraki Mansion and shut down the biggest illegal prostitution ring on Blackberry Falls Island. They worked with Blackberry Falls Police and the Military bases in open ended co-operation. However they denied the transfer of the prisoner to the Police and Blackberry Falls City Magistrates Court on the grounds that he was being detained by their country's Prime Minster (Talivana Eldyrannth), who would be putting him on trial for crimes he committed against the UFF people. The trial was monitored by the Courts of the US and UK, and it was found to be extremely fair, unbiased and honest.
The UFF sentenced their first prisoner of war in 2011, and arrested him for 63 counts of murder, piracy, mind control, forced prostitution, and torture. He pleaded guilty but showed little to no remorse. The host of the "Corrupted Symbiote" was apparently long dead, as the Symbiote had completely taken control and deleted Aleksandr's memories and existence. A crime now illegal under UFF law, although some have said that this is simply untrue; he's just suppressing the host the same way he suppressed his victims.
The UFF was a small country/state that had it's own laws, and still does today. It's existed since the 1800s and was founded by Coda'zotoxi race as they were not fighting any wars. At the time the Xeno'vitiri weren't on Earth and the Zeta'muluri were fighting with other species but hadn't had a war with Human's since the early 1200s. The UFF doesn't conform to the Human Rights Act; as they are not humans. However they do have their Universal Right to Life Act, which covers everything from Human to Alien. They also have a very strict First Contact With New and Alien Lifeforms Protocols. Although todate they neither confirm nor deny any contact with Alien Lifeforms, with outside governments.
They have made contact with two Alien lifeforms. One in 1942; the Xeno'vitiri and in 2011; the Aymar'telshen (the Aymar). There is strong suspicion that the Aymar might have interacted with the United States Government on the same day in 1942 (Roswell Incident?). Although there are things recently come to light that have shown the Aymar as far back as the 13th century at least according to the Sin-Clan Keza'maraki Royal Family Children in Selil who described "Derrick" to be a purple changeling associated with fun and adventure. Although he was seen as some kind of imaginary friend to adults that is until he ran into King Rowan [Who was a prince at the time, although the UFF don't actually know that yet. Their history to them is pieced together from different perspectives and a lot of it is destroyed]
The UFF have quickly become a country fuelled by the Keza Corporation it's economy is very good and provides work for construction workers who maybe otherwise out of work in Blackberry Falls. After the UFF v Aleksandr siege; what was left of the country was burning and as it had been one of the driest and hottest summers on record. Taking nearly a week to put out the fire, began the clean up work that never stopped. The full land boarder was opened up, previously fenced off, as everything across the bridge and 2 miles south of the northern lake was Tripp's private country. Tripp then sold his country to the UFF Government for just £1, (The biggest loss he's ever made) which he then gave back to the UFF Government as a 'National Party Fund' donation and Tripp gave the land to the Government of the United Federation of Families. Ever since things have progressed quickly and the UFF has... Ambitious plans.
This is a first draft, mistakes and errors might be abound, but it's definitely not complete yet.

      When coming from Blackberry Falls:
Blackberry Falls City - 666 Miles (In the direction of the top of the picture, which in this case is East)
--Blackberry Falls Boarder Patrol and Customs Outpost--
      Genitals Cross Over
International Bridge over Blackberry River (1 Mile)
--UFF Boarder Patrol and Customs HQ--
Xantall'ar City - 48 Miles (In the direction of the south of the picture, which in this case would be south-south west from the bridge.)
      Genitals Cross Over:
Blackberry Falls drives on the RIGHT. The UFF drive on the LEFT. At the Blackberry Falls end of the bridge you will be required to change lanes and starting from the bridge into the UFF, drive on the LEFT of the road.

      (Picture representation only)
      --------------------

Uh no. The UFF doesn't look like this yet. It's what they envision Xantall'ar to look like in 2025.
Location: South-west Blackberry Island (Directly west from Blackberry Falls City)
      - Capital City: Xantall'ar
      Demonym: UFFian [U-F-F-Ian]
      Government: Federal Grand Council (Libertarian)
      - Prime Minister: Talivana Eldyrannth
      Currency: The UFFian Kredit.
Date Format: dd/mm/yyyy (24 hour time)
      Drives on the: Left
      Calling Code: +666
      ISO-3166-3: UFF
      TLD: .uff
      Current Population (2016): 4.66 million (+43.82%)
      -2015 Population: 3.24 million (+166.6%)*
      -2014 Population: 1.95 million (+142%)*
      -2013 Population: 786,290 people
      - Adult Unemployment Rate: 0.09% [4194 People**]
Language: Kezamarakian, Makodemerian, Codazotoxian, Zetamulurian, Xenovitirian, Eldyrannthian
      - Also: British, English. American, English. Kezamarakian, Russian.
      Trade Status: Open
      - Major Imports: Building Resources, Luxury Goods
      - Major Exports: Cannabis, Fish, Food and Drink, Technology, Clothing Goods and Oil.
      * Caused by Relocation and Immigration of UFFian species.
** This is caused by the strict immigration policy. These people are either 'Between Jobs' or 'Reacquiring Education' (65% of the Unemployed), 'Work Outside of the UFF' (25%) 'Disabled/Unfit for Work*** (5%) or 'By choice' (5%)
*** Disabled rates are so low because of Nanotechnology.
The UFF at the moment is a hive of activity, you have various companies and corporations holding up the economy and you have construction constantly going on. One of the first things started was housing which is still in progress today with two million homes built just last year. The key has been Blackberry Falls unemployed skilled construction workers which have been invaluable to the UFF, and paid generously, some now have jobs secure for at least a decade. The city of Xantall'ar the country's capital, is also being built with several buildings being worked on at once.
The UFF had to seriously relax it's immigration policy in 2012; priority was given for people who were skilled construction workers or other skilled workers that were otherwise out of a job, but in 2015 this was restored to normal status It also allocated some for Corporations, Staff and Families so corporations could move their operations over to the UFF and start planning and building their own Headquarters in the city.
The population is mainly made up of Keza's, Coda's, Zeta's, Xeno's and Mako's. There are some humans living here of various ethnicities, a quarter of these humans are descendants to a 'Child of Epsus' meaning they have either Keza, Mako, Coda, Zeta or (least likely) Xeno DNA in their genetic make up that aren't found normally in humans. This usually shows up with their eyes, physical shape, sexual appetite, stamina and accommodation.
The UFF have a simple goal at the moment; as they're in the Golden Age as it were their goal is to build Xantall'ar City (or at least the majority of it) by 2025. Whilst it's still a long way off progress can be clearly seen every month and there are; which can be seen at build-rome-in-a-day.uff a website which shows brilliant, level and accurately positioned pictures like a fade into existence-montage. The identity of the website owner is unknown. [Kim Keza'maraki]

Friendly Reminder: Respect this country's laws, I don't have to tell you that in real life if you break a country's laws you'll be punished by that country's legal system. It doesn't matter what country you come from or who you're friends are. Unlike Blackberry Falls City, Bribery will most likely get you locked up. [Government here is not corrupt, nor are the police]

      Hello fellow Dreamers,
This update has come a little later than we initially planned. Originally it was scheduled for Christmas as the End of Year Update for 2018, but we had various things not go our way, and we had to push it back with the Winter Updates Release. Whilst it is a meteorological spring time here in the Northern Hemisphere, it is still astronomical winter until March 20th. There are quite a few things to cover in this update, so without further delay I will get right to it.
      This announcement will cover:
Sunstone's Resignation An open letter to Sunstone Terms of Services Changes Section 1 Section 10 Section 14 Section 17 Section 18 Section 21 Section 22 Forum Software Update Dark EcchiTheme Emoji Changes Clear Indications of Bans and Account Deactivation Account Deactivation and Deletion Changes Homepage Changes FAQ Section Changes to Premium Membership Hovercards! Official Discord Server Updates EcchiLotto Draw Semi Technical: Bug Fixes Known Bugs that Still Exist Sunstone's Resignation
It is with heavy heart I must announce that Sunstone has asked to step down from his role as a staff member here on EcchiDreams, after being with us for eight to nine months, which we have reluctantly but respectfully accepted. His resignation may or may not be permanent (as he is more than welcome to come back at any time), but for personal reasons he has decided to step down at least for now; after listening to his concerns, I can't say I blame him. However, I would like to include an open letter to Sunstone here in this announcement, to show that all of the staff stand by his decision, and are indeed saddened to see him leave. I want to make it clear that Sunstone was not fired, and there is no hostility regarding this departure. I am told that he will remain in the community as a Gold Premium Member, but not as staff for the time being.
      An Open Letter to Sunstone
      Terms of Service Changes
Since November there have been a lot of changes to the Terms of Service that I'd like to cover. Technically under the Terms of Service, I don't have to do this, but I will in the interests of transparency and openness. We recently overhauled it and changed the formatting, so that you can see the sections and paragraphs in a Table of Contents and select which part you want to read, which it will scroll down to for you and take you to the relevant part. I will try to keep this part brief but I will also try to outline what changes we've made exactly.
      Section 1
Section 1 is the Acceptance of the Terms of Service. It is the most important of the Terms of Service, as it states what is outlined in the ToS and sets the tone of the rest of the document, as well as your obligation to accept it if you want to use EcchiDreams, and our obligations to you, contained within those terms. We changed a little of section 1 to keep in pace with updates and modifications made to the site since 2016.
The biggest addition to the Terms of Service under Section 1 is paragraph 1, something that we've been advised to add in for legal reasons, which is a legal disclaimer. It basically covers our asses if something goes wrong, but it also warns the user that whilst our site contains links to websites run and operated by third parties:
They are not endorsements or recommendations. We have no control over them, nor do we accept responsibility over them. You visit external links from this site at your own risk. We reserve the right to remove, edit or delete links at any time for any reason. We also make it clear that you can view our privacy policy, and provided a link to it.
      Section 10
Section 10 is our Harassment clause, and it's not one of the Terms of Service that I like to edit, because of how the word 'Harassment' is being used and abused nowadays. The bar of what some people consider 'Harassment' is so low, you can't even say "Hello" to someone. Well, not here. We always have, and always will - whilst it remains reasonable - follow the legal definition of harassment as defined under the law. That is one of the only sections in the Terms of Service to be clearly defined, and given a bar of acceptable evidence, and it is for good reason.
We recently had to modify this, to change:
      To:
Because apparently when a staff member contacts you because you have broken a rule, that constitutes as harassment... Yes, someone did literally accuse one of the staff members of harassment when they contacted them about a very, very minor rule that they were breaking. If a staff member is contacting you in the act of their duty, you cannot pretend like you can get away with it by screaming harassment. That is not how this works; it doesn't work on the Police in real life, and it sure as hell won't fly here.
      We also added two sections:
Harassment against Reporters Multiple False Reports about specific Dreamers This is because a couple of dreamers last year saw it fit to mercilessly harass someone who they had thought had reported their content and "Got them into trouble.", when it was actually in fact a staff member that picked up on it independently. You cannot go around harassing people who have, or you think may have, reported your content. That will now get you in even more trouble than you were in to begin with.
We will also not allow false reports (Persecution) against specific Dreamers. We have had a number of incidents where Person A has been slighted/offended in some way by Person B, and then Person A starts a campaign of reporting all of Person B's posts/content. On other sites, this is called "False Flagging", and it will not be viewed in a good light here; in fact we deem it as a possible form of harassment.
As I said. I didn't want to strengthen this any more than it already was, but there we go. Disagreement is perfectly natural, we're not bound to get along with each other all the time. That is why you can ignore specific dreamers, and tell them not to contact you. If they keep contacting you when you've asked them to stop repeatedly - then it becomes harassment. But at the same time you can't goad them into it by provocation either. Just block and move on.
      Section 14
Section 14 is our Advertising and Spam rule, and says what kind of links to other sites (external to EcchiDreams) can and cannot be posted on this site. It has recently been updated, as this hadn't been since 2012. Therefore, it's been completely reworked and reworded, and includes a new section that specifically addresses "Disallowed Links". This was a hard one to rewrite for several technical reasons, but eventually all of the staff agreed to the new incarnation of it. That's all there is to it, really.
      Section 17
Section 17 is our Roleplay Section. @Neptune had repeatedly warned me about this being grossly out of date, and I kept putting it off because the Roleplay section was going through periods of rapid overhauling and changing. The original piece was put in during the Big Update of 2015, and ever since it's been left well alone. However, at the end of 2018, it became quite apparent that this section was meaningless, because none of it applied anymore. It has now been completely re-written to reflect reality, and it's well worth reading.
Recently we've had to make an additional change to Section 2 as it contained erroneous information in that you can only have one Private Roleplay Bulletin topic, which is not the case. As long as you don't spam it relentlessly, you're fine.
      Section 18
Section 18 is one of our most broken rules, and perhaps the most hated by the community 😄
It is, of course, our Gallery and Media Uploaded or Posted to EcchiDreams section. We have completely refreshed it, and made it explicitly clear on what we will and not allow on this site when it comes to images, animated GIFs, videos, and other media content. It is not something we like to enforce, but it's something that we do have to.
The most broken rule in this section is, of course, depictions of a cartoon/drawn/sketch/pseudo photograph of a minor (under 18) in nude or sexual situations. As I have discussed many time before: this counts as child pornography by law. Unfortunately this covers people who look over 18, but aren't (Such as Nekopara, for example). As a result we've had to make a flowchart, which I believe is helping people already, as we've had less violations on this since it became available.
Here is that flowchart if you want a copy of it:

To be clear: You can post cartoon images of minors, but they must not be sexual or nude in anyway. You can't post real pictures of minors under any circumstances, however. We highly recommend reading Section 18 to re-familiarise yourself with it.
      Section 21
Section 21 is our Account Termination clause, and due to a recent update in how our Account Termination and Deletion works, and the fact that it is mostly automatic now, we've had to change our Terms of Service to reflect this; this is a complete re-write. I will be going into more detail with this later in the announcement, but suffice it to say, this has been changed and updated to reflect the new options for all Dreamers. I have made it clear in the Terms of Service that during the deactivation procedure, if you delete your account, you must wait at least 14 days before opening a new account; if you deactivate your account, you are still not allowed to open a new account under Section 9 of the Terms of Service.
      Section 22
Section 22 is our Violations of the Terms of Service clause. It has been overhauled to include a new paragraph "Infraction Appeals", which gives you recourse if you genuinely think that a staff member made a mistake in issuing a warning or infraction; it is one of your rights, and our obligations. If you think that we've made a mistake, and you believe that there is an error with the ruling that you can point to the Terms of Service and contest with, you are allowed to state your case with an infraction appeal. However be warned: this does not apply to Section 8 violations, for which there needs to be extreme evidence before carrying out, because there is no chance of appeal. Also: ignorance of the Terms of Service is not a valid excuse, as its effect on your relationship with us is not contingent on whether or not you've read them.
      Forum Software Update
I am pleased to announce that our major update from IPS 4.3.6 to IPS 4.4.1 was a major success, overall. This brought about a few small changes to the software that runs on this site and fixed a whole load of bugs (along with introducing new ones, naturally).
To go through the entire change log would be insane; instead I'll just go over a few key highlights:
Major Performance Improvements Improved Application Security across the board Tags will now start showing suggested tags as you type them when tagging posts. I think it selects from tags that have previously been used in the community. Fixed a whole slew of bugs and quirks.  For a full list, see IPS's announcement for 4.4.0 and 4.4.1; just bear in mind that not all of these apply to EcchiDreams, such as the GIF in posts feature, or the post before registering feature. With this update came an update to all the third-party modifications that were used to customise EcchiDreams, all of which have their own bug fixes and feature additions.
      Dark EcchiTheme
Last month, I put up a poll in the EcchiMeta club for people to vote on. Every now and then, I get a request for a dark theme for EcchiDreams and I've always turned it down because of costs (that would be incurred every six months), and development times (that would be incurred every time I make major updates), and there wasn't enough demand to warrant it. However after putting up the poll, 40-50% of our daily users voted on it almost immediately, and the resounding answer was: Yes! You do want a dark EcchiTheme.
I am pleased to announce that this is complete and currently working. I am using the Dark Theme myself to try and spot bugs and/or flaws in it, and so far it appears to be working correctly; it is available for all registered Dreamers.
To change the theme: just go to the bottom of the page and press "Theme", then select "Dark EcchiTheme"

Guests and non-logged in users will not see this, and the Default EcchiTheme will be enabled by default, as indicated by the name.
      Emoji Changes
Due to licensing reasons, we no longer use "Emoji One" Emoji's on EcchiDreams. Instead, we now use the free 'Twitter' style Emoji's. It is unknown if any of the old emoji's before the update will change, but from now on, the use of Emoji's on EcchiDreams will be Twitter's style, which is a small and very minor change.
Clear Indication of Banning and Account Deactivation
We have changed the way in which banned accounts and deactivated accounts are displayed due to some confusion in the community, and the fact that up until this point it has been majorly unclear. I will point out that accounts that are suspended (temporarily banned) still have nothing that indicates their suspension.
For banned users; the name will become red, and a small red button will appear next to their username that reads 'Banned'. On their profile, there will be a small field that contains "Ban Reason" once their ban has been completely processed, which displays the reason that they were banned. You may have noticed this already. Deactivated users will also have the same thing. Their username; is normal coloured, but they will have a small orange button next to their username that reads 'Deactivated'. You might not be able to view their profile, send them EcchiTexts or anything of the sort, however. We were thinking on including a small button for those that are inactive for more than 6 months, but at this time we have not finalised anything.
An example of a Banned Dreamer:

An example of a Deactivated Dreamer:

These buttons will also appear next to their names when viewed anywhere else on the forums, in the same way that all staff have purple names.
      Account Deactivation and Deletion Changes
We have made it easier for you to delete or deactivate your account. As I briefly outlined in the Section 21 Terms of Service updates, previously the only way you could deactivate or delete your account was via contacting us on the contact us form, or by sending a staff member an EcchiText. We've now put in the ability for you to do it completely for yourself. If you want to deactivate your account (previously called Terminate) then you can, and you can re-activate it at anytime by logging in. Deleting your account is only possible when you have never posted anything, and you're still in the "Virgin Dreamers" group; after that it will not be possible to delete your account, only deactivate it.
It is relatively simple, yet it will require you to pass a security check just to see if it is you requesting this.
      Homepage Changes
I've made a number of small edits to the homepage, such as swapping the recent topics piece with the community wall to fix a long outstanding bug where text would appear weirdly under certain common screen resolutions and conditions. In addition, I've made it easier to vote for the EcchiDreams Dreamer of the Month by adding a button to the box. I've also tested the functionality of including a poll on the homepage, as and when we need it, for logged in Dreamers.
      FAQ Section
We've added a new FAQ section to cover the most frequently asked questions we have. You can easily find it under the "Information" menu tab as "FAQ"... or just by going here: https://ecchidreams.com/faq/
If we start getting asked certain questions more, we will start updating this list to include the new questions we are asked. Currently they are split across 5 different categories:
General Roleplaying Gallery EcchiApps EcchiCredits and EcchiShop Changes to Premium Membership
We've changed the benefits of premium membership, as I've announced in my status towards the end of last year. Premium Membership does not cost any IRL money - so please put your wallets, purses and credit cards away. They cost EcchiCredits (a contribution based currency), and can be obtained through the EcchiStore.
You get many benefits to being a premium member; the following is not a definitive list:
Gold and Platinum: Customisable Profile Backgrounds. Gold and Platinum: Ability to insert Profile Videos.  Gold and Platinum: Unlimited Gallery Usage (no Max Bandwidth per day).  Gold and Platinum: EcchiText Limitations Normal: Able to store 500 conversations, only allowed to start 60 a day (10 per minute).  Gold: Able to store 5,000 conversations, only allowed to start 120 a day (20 per minute).  Platinum: No limits at all.  Gold and Platinum: Max Number of EcchiText Recipients in one conversation. Normal: 6 Recipients Gold: 12 Recipients Platinum: 18 Recipients.  Gold and Platinum: Search Cooldown Improvements. Normal: 20 Second Cooldown. Gold: 10 Second Cooldown. Platinum: 5 Second Cooldown. Gold and Platinum: Increased Clubs. Normal: Ability to run/own 6 clubs. Gold: Ability to run/own 8 clubs. Platinum: Ability to run/own 10 clubs. There are more features being added over time, so this list can - and will - change.
      Hovercards
(Desktop Users) You may have noticed that recently the Hovercard system has changed completely. It was actually introduced shortly after the Spring Updates 2018, but was largely in Beta. For those that don't know, the Hovercard is the information that appears when you hover your mouse over a Dreamers username or profile picture on EcchiDreams. We were one of the first IPS websites on the internet to test this new feature out, thanks to a friend of mine (the Developer) wanting me to test it for them. I think it's fair to say that Neptune and I fell in love with it, and we've decided to keep it indefinitely.
      This is the old Hovercard:

      This is the new Hovercard:

It displays the profile cover image, your avatar, and nearly all the information that the first one provides. It also displays a Hovercard Quote which you can set up by visiting your profile, looking for "Hovercard Quote" at the bottom of the sidebar, and clicking on the gear/cog icon. You can put whatever you want here (within the ToS and the 160 character limit). When you're on Leave of Absence, it will display a large orange button as well, letting people know easily and quickly that you're currently on LoA.
I'm pleased to announce that this is out of Beta, and is staying, for as long as it is supported.
      Official Discord Server Updates
Our official Discord server is going well, and we've gotten a fair few people who are registered to EcchiDreams on there. This was introduced in the 2018: Summer Updates and has now been improved, as we look at further expanding this project as it matures. It's not been without it's downsides; we have had more than our fair share of drama from members, myself included. But most of the time it's a pretty chill place, and it's a great way of getting your hands on updates that are happening before they're mentioned on EcchiDreams itself, as well as to talk to various other members and staff. I've not been on it as much as I would have liked, but then I've been rather busy lately; I think after this I will try to be more active there.
If the site goes down, it's a good place to get updates - if there are any - from staff, as it allows us to communicate with you on a secondary line. However the Discord server is open to EcchiDreams members only.
We have recently updated the EcchiDreams Site/Discord integration features, so if you linked your account with Discord before the 10th March 2019 (17:00hrs GMT), you will need to relink it, as we have come out of Beta with this application. We've also added a few new features:
New topics on the forum are displayed in the #new-topic-notifications channel.  You can update your EcchiDreams email address with your Discord Email address (disabled by default) You can update your EcchiDreams profile image with your Discord profile image (disabled by default)  There is now a small banner on the homepage of the site displaying this Discord; although it is unclickable at the moment.  So if you haven't already: come and join us!
      EcchiLotto Draw
The draw for the EcchiLotto system that happened on the 1st January 2019 was somewhat of a success. There was only a handful of people who played, and so far 12,500 EcchiCredits have been claimed in prizes; however, there are still a number of unclaimed tickets that may have won the ~60,000 EcchiCredit Jackpot. Is your ticket unclaimed? The winning numbers were as follows:
      7, 8, 19, 20, 46 and 51
If you didn't enter this years draw, you can enter next years draw, which will happen on January 1st 2020. At time of writing, the jackpot stands at 51,600 EcchiCredits, and each ticket only costs 100 EcchiCredits.
      Bug Fixes
We have made excellent progress in this update at squashing all known bugs that existed before. I am ecstatic to report that all known bugs mentioned in the previous update announcement have been completely fixed! We had an event on shortly after updating EcchiDreams that doubled the bounty of all bug reports submitted to us pertaining to bugs on the site. The response was simply astounding! I want to thank everyone who did their part and reported all the bugs that they found.
So a big and special shout out to: @Imouto Kanna, @XenoSera, @LazarusLuna, @Whoreo, @Neptune, @SMFoxy, @Aura, @Bethany, and @Felixx, who all contributed to this by reporting them. Thank you very much for the help there, ladies and gentlemen.
So the list of EcchiDreams specific bug fixes are as follows:
Certain types of PNG images would crash the gallery uploader, resulting in garbled data being outputted to the user or a blank/broken image being uploaded. EcchiStore and EcchiLotto would annoyingly redirect back to homepage for every action taken. Custom Activity Stream options would not save.  Posts that were edited threw a "Template Error", asking for it to be corrected in the ACP. WYSIWYG Editor kept reverting to minimalist features. In very rare instances, hitting the home icon on Apple devices (Safari browser) resulted in being logged out. Known Bugs that Still Exist
If you find any, please report them for a sweet bounty! There are a few open issues in the bug tracker, but these are more quirks that seem to happen extremely infrequently, and we don't have any solid information about them at the moment. There is one bug that will be affecting everyone, as far as I am aware, but we're certainly working on it.
Editor restores previous content in box regardless of if it was posted or not.  Low Severity: It is more of an annoyance than a bug. Why is this a bug: It shouldn't be doing this. It should only restore the previous thing you wrote in there if it never posted like if there was an error or something.
      Source: りびしぃ
When I first saw this picture, it somehow felt right for this announcement. I can't explain it. I think it's an incredibly well done piece, it doesn't contain people (Although there are versions that do), but it was somewhat perfect for this. I think the artist is incredibly talented, so by all means check them out. 🙂

      Character Identity Information
      Name: Ifrit Chiliarch
Age/Date of Birth: Two hundred and forty four, but she stopped counting a while ago because it made her feel old.
      Gender: Female
Religion: Ifrit prefers not to dabble in religion, or a lack of it.
Species: The least effective succubus in existence.
Origin/Nationality: Somewhere on Earth..? She couldn't say, honestly.
Occupation: Cafe Waitress. (No, not a maid cafe.)
      Physical Appearance
      Height: 5'11
      Weight: 122 lbs
      Eye Colour: Purple
      Hair Colour: Green
Physical Description: Ifrit, besides her hair and eye color, looks fairly standard as a person. She is petite up top, sporting wide hips and a gifted rear... Only to lack any kind of chest. It's true that, as a succubus, she can enlarge her breasts to be more appealing, but not only do they not scale well, she also can't even make them much bigger than a low C cup. Ifrit has smaller than usual wings sprouting from her waistline, and two segmented horns from her head. Ifrit's tail is long and thin, not to mention bladed at the end. Her sexual organs are covered by a black, scale like material, which she is able to materialize and dispose of without touching. All of her demonic signs are retractable, meaning she can hide her true, however hated, nature.
      Personality, Traits and Abilities
General Overview: Ifrit is a succubus and it is the single thing in this world she despises more than mints. To put it lightly, Ifrit is a mentally unstable girl. Not only is she insane in a multitude of mild ways such as cyclothymia, psychosis, and anxiety, but she also hates being a succubus and even more so having sex. A succubus that hates sex is basically unheard of, but little Ifrit is just so wrong in the head that she, while having sex, will have little to nothing to do with it. She will deny pleasure purely because she dislikes the thought, but even still she is easily aroused and entranced by sex. Being a succubus, however, she must do what she must do. Needless to say her sessions are... Unpleasant to start.
Ifrit is constantly at war with herself. Being quite noticably insane in public at times and even more so alone, keeping control and understanding things is difficult.
Strengths, Skills and Abilities: Ifrit can change her breast size at will, as well as achieve minor flight through a combination of wing flapping and weak levitation.
Ifrit is physically fit and extremely flexible, making it hard to break or strain her body. Despite her appearance she is also extremely durable and capable of taking a lot of punishment.
She has enhanced senses, being a demon and all.
Ifrit also has minor pyromancy, able to generate and throw fire.
Weaknesses: Ifrit is mentally unstable and capable of snapping and having an episode if left unoccupied, or just at any time no matter what. Typically it is the former. This means that social situations are hasty, nervous, and potentially unsettling. On top of that, her mood changes by the day if not sooner, meaning emotional flexibility is required to just stay sane around her.
Ifrit is a very, very weak succubus. The amount of times she has had sex isn't much exceeding the bare minimum for her survival, so she is excessively weaker than most any other succubus.
Ifrit, of course, has a very high libido and is easily aroused. On top of that her attention span is very short, so distracting her from pretty much anything is extremely easy.
Ambitions(Hopes/Dreams): Ifrit doesn't think much about dreams, and her only real hope is that she stops being a succubus.
Hobbies and Interests: Ifrit enjoys both writing and drawing, as well as participating in recreational sports.
Personal Sexual Information (This whole part is optional)
      Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Turn ons: Biting is a massive turn on for Ifrit, both biting and being bitten is quick to arouse her. Scratching is also immensely hot to her, especially if it's rough.
On the topic of biting, Ifrit has an extremely excessive love of blood. Drawing blood, mixing blood, cutting or being cut, licking blood, basically anything to do with it.
The "upright straddle" is Ifrit's weak point as she is actually very fond of romantic affection. Hugging, kissing, that sort of thing, it all turns her on real fast.

      Turn offs:
Degradation, unless Ifrit is so aroused that she can barely move, smashes the off button with a hammer so hard that the hammer breaks as well. Ifrit likes to be superior or equal, not below.
Scat is just... Ifrit doesn't like it.
      Penis Length: N/A
      Breast Size: A cup (unaltered)
      Sensitivity: Very sensitive
Additional Sexual Information: Ifrit is very durable and hard to bring to an orgasm, despite her sensitivity. As with all succubi, Ifrit's tail is a living, throbbing erogenous zone of excessive moaning and fun times. Touching, stroking, licking, tugging, all of it is pleasure and, if pleasured enough, it is capable of ejaculation from the tip.
      STD History: Unable.

      Extra Information
      Father:
      Mother:
      Siblings:
      Grandparents:
      Children:
      Grand-children:
      House: A decently sized apartment.
      Car:
      Pet:
      Additional information:

      History
      Awards/Commendations: None.
      Criminal Record: None.
Medical Record: Diagnosed with cyclothymia, psychosis.
Bio: Ifrit was just... Born. She doesn't know where from, why, how, she was just born. Her childhood is essentially forgotten, and all she is aware of is the past one hundred and fifty years. Those years have been, to put it lightly, dull. Sex was getting boring to her mind, but her body kept at it. Her mind restricted sessions to the minimum she could handle, her body enjoyed it like a delicacy when it was allowed. Ifrit didn't like thinking about sex but yet her body loved having it, and she was beginning to question why and how she could be a succubus with these thoughts. Was it a mistake, a screw up? Was she really born it was she just made? Why and when did she get voices in her head? She was unsure about most, and sad about all. Contemplating existence was just one of the many things Ifrit did during her life; she also worked numerous jobs, traveled a bit, and then decided to settle in the most interesting place she had found: Blackberry Falls. She had no trouble getting in, even if she had been known as a succubus it wouldn't have changed much, besides maybe a "now don't go draining everybody's life energy" warning.

      Hello fellow Dreamers,
It's that time of the year again, and this update has been focused on fixing as many bugs as possible, rather than adding new features or changing things. Some of you may already be aware of some of these changes, as I softly announcement them via my statuses, and this acts a sort of "This is what we did this season." This is not as big as the previous "2018: Spring Updates", but there have been a number of changes.
      This announcement will cover:
New Staff Site Changes EcchiCredits Club Changes Chatbar (EcchiChat) Changes Official Discord Server Two-Factor Authentication Reminders Semi-Technical: Bug Fixes Known Bugs that Still Exist New Staff
EcchiDreams is continuing to grow beyond our expectation, and as such, we took on new staff earlier in the season. It's with joy that I'd like to formally welcome both @Aura and @Sunstone to our site staff. Furthermore, I'd like to welcome @Kalvoras Vertal (AKA: Shuya) as our official Discord moderator.
      Site Changes
We've made a number of updates both in the background and in the foreground this season. One of the main changes in the background is the transition over to HTTP2: this should now speed up the loading of site resources, as well as improve on security a little too, although the site is backwards compatible with the previous protocol. Most browsers happily accept HTTP1.1; although there is a bug for people who use BitDefender, where these browsers will not use HTTP2. This isn't a problem with EcchiDreams at all, as BitDefender does this to every HTTP2 site, thanks to it's "Scan SSL" or "Encrypted Web Scan" feature - which they say is more secure, but ironically they make things less secure when enabled because it disables HTTP2. Geniuses. To find out more information on HTTP2 and what it means, click here to see this infographic.
In addition to this we've also tried to improve the speed and loading times of EcchiDreams, which has been getting to be a noticeable problem - especially if there are 20-30 people online at the same time - due to how resource heavy the site is, especially with the likes of EcchiChat. However these teething problems have been resolved for the most part, and everything is starting to run more smoothly again.
      EcchiCredits
In the last update, I touched on an exploit with reactions for EcchiCredits, which you can click on and see in the article posted next to this text titled "2018: Spring Updates". But to basically summarise the problem: this exploit would essentially break the EcchiCredit economy, by allowing a group of friends to like and dislike each other's statuses. This would add the EcchiCredits to the accounts each time it was done, and not take them back if the content was unliked again.
The developer of the original application had gone AWOL with there being a massive exploit that had been known about for quite some time; some people on the developers site had pointed this out way back in February, with some pointing it out in December of last year, and the developer had done absolutely nothing about it since then.
When the exploit was independently found on here; I was able to find out who abused it, and to what extent, and deducted the ill-gotten gains manually. The feature was also disabled due to this.
However, this has now changed. Another third-party developer (the one who made the background software behind the EcchiStore, which was originally two different applications made by two different people) has basically stepped in and introduced the features of the first developer to his application, which is properly supported and a well trusted source of our advanced development needs. He realised this problem and had already taken steps to preventing it, after he realised that telling the first developer was going nowhere.
So TL;DR, what does that mean for us?
Well I'm happy to announce that FINALLY reputation for EcchiCredits is back online, working, and not exploitable. The new developer is reliable, so should a problem like this crop up in future, and I cannot fix it, we can be confident that the developer actually will.
      Club Changes
There has been a minor change to the amount of clubs that dreamers can open. Previously it was set to four universally; however after receiving feedback from certain Dreamers, we've changed this up very slightly. Now it is dependant on what user group you're in, so it gives yet another (albeit small) incentive to our premium dreamers. Currently it is set to the following:
Dreamers: Six clubs. Gold Premium Dreamers: Eight clubs Platinum Dreamers: Ten clubs. This can increase universally (like +2 on each one), or in part (like +2 on just Gold and Platinum), later on, depending on how the clubs continue to evolve. To clear up yet another misconception: no, you cannot pay for premium membership with real life money; you pay for it via Ecchi Credits in the EcchiStore, which you get as a contribution credits. The reason there are limits is pretty self evident: we would rather have quality over quantity and, if for whatever reason a club owner falls inactive completely, then the "damage" is rather contained.
      Chatbar (EcchiChat) Changes
As you would have been aware, we've recently changed our chatbar software (EcchiChat) from Cometchat, a company that I can no longer recommend to anyone. As I announced here; we were in the middle of an active licence with them that entitled us to receive updates for their software, which we were also allowed to host on our server. This privilege cost us around $64 a year; reasonable eough in my opinion. Rather unexpectedly, this company suddenly changed their pricing and ceased to support the software on hosted solutions. It gets worse...
Cometchat now wants $299 a month ($3,588 a year) for the same functionality we had before at $64 a year, and we were no longer allowed to host their latest software. They "have to host it", which means all messages sent are stored on their servers and not protected by the EcchiDreams Privacy Policy; this is absolutely unacceptable. Considering the software was extremely buggy and practically non-functional 'out of the box', and required lots of intense and heavy modification just to get it to integrate properly with the forums, most of the testimonials on their site at the time of writing were written way before this change happened, and they're claiming big name sites use their software - of which there is no evidence when you look up their sites. You can see why we dropped this like a hot potato...
Sketchy business practices aside, I realise that "They're a private company and can do what they like" in regards to pricing; so I will say that "And I can choose not to accept it and move on to a better provider", which is what I did. Instead we're now using a US based solution that allows us to host it on our own servers, and unlike Cometchat; it actually works.
      Official Discord Server
EcchiDreams now has an official Discord Server, which you can only join by linking your Discord Account up with EcchiDreams via this link here. In the past we had an unofficial one set up by @Kalvoras Vertal (AKA Shuya); however, it became very apparent that a closer integration with EcchiDreams and the Terms of Service was required. You don't have to come and join us, but you are welcome to. It's still very much a work in progress; but it's mostly up, and we're happy to take suggestions.
      Two-Factor Authentication Reminders
Currently only one Dreamer who isn't staff has activated Two-Factor Authentication; this isn't good. You can find out how to do it here. We've added little reminders to sensitive areas of the site (for now), that will nag remind you to set it up when you enter it for the first time. This includes:
Managing Authorised Devices Changing your Password Changing your Email Address You can absolutely choose to opt-out, but we'll try one last time to advise against it with the following warning message. If you click on OK, the site won't mention it again to you:

      Semi-Technical: Bug Fixes
We have made the following bug fixes since the previous release:
Changed: Moved the signout button towards the bottom of the navigation menu on mobile devices, due to the amount of times people were voicing their completely valid feedback that it was too close to the notifications/EcchiText buttons. This was a design oversight on the UI menu, and whilst it's not perfect right now, we'll look at continually improving it. Thank you.  Fixed: All Cometchat related/caused bugs - Fixed by ditching Cometchat completely. Fixed: A MySQL Table limit bug when entering a description for a Gallery Image, which prevented roleplayers from entering more than 65,535 bytes (including formatting), which either presented a strange error message, or simply cut off the text. We also told IPS about this bug and they've included it as a standard fix in their latest IPS Suite release.  Fixed: Rare bug with Avatar Upload that would cause a (ERR_NO_CONTENT) failure when uploading. Fixed and Improved: Performance of the Activity Stream has been enhanced.  Fixed: Registration is now scrollable on mobiles.  Known Bugs that Still Exist
Sometimes there is a menu overlap with the new position of the Logout button and some menu elements on mobiles. We're working on getting this fixed and has become a top priority for us. When buying a lottery ticket, or really doing anything in the EcchiStore, it seems to automatically redirect you to the homepage. Which is annoying. Premium Memberships brought from the EcchiStore still don't appear to be working properly. Whilst they're actually usable this time, they're expiring, even though they shouldn't be. We can still manually promote people to Premium Membership status upon the purchase of a Premium Membership, so it's not so much a problem as an annoying bug.  We hope to have these fixed by the Winter Updates (2018), and we apologise for the inconvenience.

For many of us in the northern hemisphere it's been way too hot to be cooped up indoors roleplaying and the like, so I thought a nice picture of a cat girl with a water gun might cool some of us down a little. 😄
