A large room for storing the 4 small exploration/fighter ships of the BlackStar.

A soft sigh had escaped Khalida's lips. The silver haired female had just gotten finished with some of her work and had decided to bring that to the Captain later on. Her teal eyes scanned the room, the Main Bay. Since she was taking a break from her work, she decided to just wander around the BlackStar and managed to end up here. 

"Ah- I should head back to finish my research.. should be about time I get back to it " She muttered out quietly to herself. Her voice quite soft as she spoke to herself. She let out quite the heavy sigh, brushing back her hair from her face.

X-369 was perched on top of the small jets in the main bay of the BlackStar, starring around at his new surroundings curiously. The 2 foot tall creature had followed the crew back to the BlackStar, his skin blending into the back ground almost perfectly. He managed to slip in with the crew as they entered the BlackStar’s Aft Bay and had made his way, still invisible, to the Main Bay. He waited for the crew to leave before climbing up onto the jet, sticky pads on his fingers and toes allowing him to easily scale the metal surface. 
 

So many new smells surrounded the curious creature as he looked around, a bit overwhelmed. He froze as a female being he hadn’t saw earlier walked into the Main Bay. The smell of this female creatures from the ship were very alluring to X-369, making him feel strange and want to get closer. Unknown to X-369 it was because the scientist made all of his experiments have a high sex drive, so they could reproduce fast and he could sell more. 
 

The creature started to slowly climb down the jet trying to move closer to the female. A loud crash of thunder suddenly echoed through the ship, breaking X-369’s concentration for a moment making him go visible. He froze as the female spotted him, his eyes wide.

Khalida had paused in her tracks, seeming to have heard something within the Main Bay moving. She gave a small frown to herself. Her eyes seeming to search for anything. When she didn't find anything, she was about to look away and continue on her way before she flinched from the loud crash of thunder. Her eyes landed on X-369, her hand immediately going on to the sword she kept by her waist.

Her eyes narrowed slightly as she kept silent, examining the creature that was on the jet. "..A new creature huh," Khalida was unsure if the creature, X-369, was harmless or aggressive. Yet, the researcher inside her was dying to make new discoveries about the creature in front of her.

X-369 tensed as the female took on a defensive stance, her hand holding onto something by her waist. He didn’t bother going invisible again, not wanting to startle the female anymore. He decided that it might be best if he showed her he didn’t mean any harm to her. Because in truth he wanted to get closer to the woman.
 

He slowly climbed down the jet and crouched down on the ground a bit like a frog. It’s dull green and orange skin color turned a bright green and he purred softly, trying to show that he was friendly.

Khalida kept her eyes on X-369, unmoving from her defensive stance she had taken. She seemed surprised when the creature jumped down and took a low position. Her eyes seemed to fill with curiosity as she slowly relaxed. 

Her eyes examined the creature, soon relaxing fully, although she kept her guard up. "..friendly creature," She let out a soft sigh, allowing the creature to come closer to her, although keeping it at a certain distance as a precaution. "How interesting you are,"

The creature slowly moved closer on all fours like a ape as the female relaxed. He stopped a few feet in front the woman and stood up to his full 2 foot height, his dark large eyes curious. He reached out a long fingered hand slowly, but hesitated. He wanted to touch this female for some reason but he was still a bit wary and also didn’t want to scare her. He lowered his hand a bit and chirped lightly, asking if he could come closer. The main species that the scientist used was a monkey like creature that communicated through sounds and was very curious, traits that showed in X-369.

Khalida continued to observe X-369 from a distance. She seemed a bit surprised when he reached his hand out before pulling it back. "Quite intelligent too," a small smile seemed to appear on the silver haired female's face. She thought for a moment to herself, debating if she should let it come closer or not. In the end, she allowed the creature to come closer to her, but stopped it when it was about a few feet away.

X-369 sat down again waiting for the female to come closer herself. He could tell she was still tense but was slowly relaxing. He cocked his head, trying to think of a way to help this female know that he wasn’t going to harm her. He suddenly got a idea, his skin glowing a brighter happy green. The vocal cords of the creature started to move and change and after a few seconds he slowly said “Hello.” in a perfect imitation of Captain Ryan’s voice. 
 

X-369 was designed to look like other things but also to be able to mimic sounds that other beings make after hearing them for a short time. He also had the ability to learn languages and sound communication of things it studied very fast. It had watched the crew as they explored Planet N259 and was able to learn very basic human conversation skills by observing them talking and reacting. He found out that the word or sound hello was a greeting that the humans used and was able to imitate that.

Khalida seemed surprised at the perfect imitation of Captain Ryan's voice. Noticing the effort it took to allow her to lower her guard down. She fully relaxed her tense body, soon approaching the creature before stopping when she was about two feet away from it.

She soon knelt that, examining the creature up close. "Very interesting indeed. You're quite the interesting creature, aren't you?" She mumbled out. Khalida hesitated for a moment before reaching out her hand to touch the creature.

X-369 stood stock still as the female reached out her hand and started to rub his head. His skin was soft and warm, feeling almost like rubber as the woman’s small hand ran over it. X-369 loved the feel of it, a loud happy hum coming from him as he pushed into the hand, almost like a cat. 
 

He jumped onto the females leg, his small body light. He wanted to get closer to this woman, this being the first kind contact he had received ever.

The creature bumped its head on the females chin as it snuggled closer, it’s small long fingered hand gripping the front of uniform tightly and as did it’s monkey like toes. The smooth skin near the base of his back slowly started to stretch, as bone and muscles started to take shape of a long tail, that he used to wrap around the woman’s waist to hold on to.

Khalida paused, her eyebrow raising for a moment as she questioned its actions internally. A soft sigh left her mouth, her hand moving to lightly run her fingers over the creature. "...a cat... you remind me of the cat I used to have." She mumbled out to herself, staring at the creature.

X-369 let out a content hum as it struggled closer to the warm body of this female. Unknown to both of them X-369 was made to be the perfect bodyguard, forming a strong bond with the person it protects and the bond was starting to form between the two. X-369 pulled back a bit and nibbled on the females chin playful, claiming her as something he was going to stay with.

[BladeRunner]

A series of keypad typing and vocal "blips" coming from a computer was heard on the other side of a fighter craft. Standing and looking over a series of images and numbers and charts on a holopad was a peculiar individual, garbed in mostly black with orange accents. Their head was metallic and slightly elongated with three round, red glowing eyes staring at the holographic screen before it. Its neck were a series of struts and metals durable enough to handle direct impact from heavy weapons, however the design of the figure appeared to be male if nothing else, and while certain parts appeared Human certain other said otherwise. 

This was MASS229D, Military Applications Scout System, Series Model D, Unit #229. Or Mass for short. At the moment Mass was running diagnostics on the combat fighters systems making sure everything was up to date, despite the engineers and other pilots checking on the crafts it was important to make certain thrice over that everything was up to date. The transport ships were up 10% in functionality thanks to Mass, and he was doing the exact same for the combat fighters as well. He wasn't necessarily the approachable type either, nor did he approach anyone else, people gave Mass weird glances and though he could carry a conversation no one knew how to "take him" in regards to understanding. 

Mass was recently discovering more on "sentience" and self awareness, more specifically, Human reactions and emotion. While he could definitely accumulate something along those two subjects he was still learning to be Human. It wasn't easy for a machine to understand as one of the engineers said. So he worked nonstop, actually enjoying learning about people, their mannerisms, vocals, expression, personality... And much more, but from a difference and thanks to enhanced audio receivers Mass heard everything everyone spoke about. Everything.
