The woods

Recommended Posts

Sakura was out in the forest not far behind her cottage. She was in a clearing she had found not long ago. She sat in the mifdle of the clearing ina meditative position. Her full body was completely naked and her clothes neatly put aside so they can be retireved later. In her state of nudity the tiefling druid felt a more direct connection with the nature around her. She remained in her spot as she tries to clear her mind and to communicate with nature itself.

The forest is still and tranquil, most noises coming from a soft wind blowing, a bubbling stream and critters of various kind making themselves heard from top to bottom of the place. With no one else around her, nothing much is happening. Thankfully, there seems to be no dangerous wild life, aggressive monsters or bandits out to do their deeds, leaving otherwise unarmed person able to sit there in peace.

The forest is quiet and peaceful by the most part, however a bit of meditation, there are something that could be considered a disturbance in the forest. Whilst she cannot directly and comprehensively sense the trouble, she still has a general direction it is felt towards. The sensation is most akin to what seems to some small rodents being scared of something....something big it seems, judging from the heavy footsteps into the ground.

Sensing the disturbance she opened her eyes awakening from her meditation.she would stand up and walk over to her clothes. She wold dress herself just in case if it was another person in the woods as well. Although it was not a serious disturbance in her opinion as mice and other rodents are typically easily startled, she figured she might as well check it out as she had luttle else to do at the moment. She figured she could get a few herbs as well on the way back to use in her potions.

After getting fully dressed the tiefling would grab her staff and walk in the direction where she sensed the disturbance. She was not exactly sure how far it was so she would have to use her judgement when deciding to xontinue the full way.

The forest stays quiet and peaceful for a fair bit of time. Then noises begin to overwhelm the normal and tranquil ones that usually are the background ambience of this place. It sounds like something big and heavy is trotting around further ahead from her. As the trees around this area are not the biggest, she can begin to see a huge figure lightly towering over the tree tops ahead of her. Another loud noise is heard as an animal gasps its last breath and is even flying through the air and nearly hitting the woman. A large boar splatters onto a rock jutting out of the ground, becoming a huge red mess of blood and entrails. A loud roar emerges soon after in the direction it flew from.

Sakura was surprised at the large creature and also curious how she did not sense it reaking havoc in the woods. She was curious what this creature was but also she did not want to stay around in case it was hostile. As such she would move to the side out of its path as she hoped it had not seen her yet. She knealt down behind the bushes and awaited it so she csn observe what this thing really was.

After a moment or two the only loud noises around are those caused by the large thing moving about. It soon turns out to be a huge troll as it comes closer to the boar that it had flung through the air. The huge monstrosity sniffs the air whilst looking about, scanning the surrounding area. It seems to head towards the pulpy and bloody mess of its former target."Mwhahaha....big pig not move. Now soon in my mah belly. You gonna taste fiiiiiine", it growls in its overly simplified language, its intentions of feasting on the corpse clear to anyone.
