main thread Blackberry Falls
Neptune replied to Neptune's topic in Blackberry Falls's Roleplaying Topics
Location: Blackberry Falls airport and Twin Mill Motel. Time: 18:24 Rayvenne lowered her phone from her ear, a light furrowing between her eyebrows as she looked at the screen as she pressed the hang-up button. She returned to her contacts menu, staring at the name of the man she had been trying to call since her plane had touched down but he had not been picking up. It could only mean that he was busy, which was irritating as she really needed to talk to him. Well, he would no doubt notice her missed calls when he was free, and call her back when he was able to. She just hoped he wouldn’t wait too long. She slipped her phone back into her pocket and raised her dark eyes to the luggage belt of the airport as the bags from her flight started moving by. Her lip curled a little as she felt people around her, nudging her slightly in their eagerness to grab onto their bags and to be gone. She had to put a lid on her irritation before she accidentally hurt someone, but it was hard as she hated being in such a crowded place. Things were a lot simpler back in the days in which she had been born. There wasn’t quite as many people, for a start. The crowds weren’t so big, nor so suffocating. Still, at least this crowd wasn’t intending any harm on her, so she could put up with the other downsides. She spied her own luggage and pushed forwards to pick up the wheeled luggage bag. She put it down on the floor, shifting her shoulders which had the weight of her backpack pressing down on them. She extended the handle on her bag before she moved out of the crowd and headed to the desk where she could pick up the rest of her luggage. Her faithful companion, Raeghan. She approached the desk which was currently empty, causing a women to smile at her. Not bothering with the pleasantries, Rayvenne pulled out her wallet and produced her ticket and handed it over. The woman took the ticket and scanned it into her system before saying, “Just give me a moment, ma’am.” Rayvenne didn’t say anything as she watched the woman disappear behind a door before coming back a few minutes later carrying a black pet carry bag which completely concealed the animal within. She put it on the counter, scanning the label in and confirming that the correct ticket holder had collected the bag. Rayvenne then took back her ticket, sliding it back into her wallet which she put away before grabbing the bag and walking off without so much as a thank you. The woman on the desk looked startled by her abrupt manner, frowning slightly before shrugging and turning to the next customer that approached her desk. Rayvenne left through the front airport doors, glancing around and taking in her surroundings out of pure habit, before she turned and headed towards the large car park, moving between the lines of cars until she came to a stop in front of a rather plain looking black car. It looked unremarkable, and there were no personal belongings within it. Again, Rayvenne looked around her to ensure that no one was watching her, before she put the pet carry bag down and let go of the luggage. She moved to the drivers side and reached under the rim of the front wheel, her slender fingers groping for a few moments until they bumped against a small box tapped to the body of the car. She pulled it off and drew it out. She saw that there was a small keypad on the box, which she entered a four digit key into which unlocked the box. She opened it up, pulling out a set of car keys which she turned and used to unlock the car. She put her luggage in the boot, before putting the pet carry case in the front seat with her backpack on the floor in front of it. She then climbed into the driver's seat and started the car. She put on her seatbelt, before she drove out of the airport car park and drove through the busy streets of Blackberry Falls to a motel that she frequented whenever she was in Ashaea, the Twin Mill Motel. She pulled up into one of the parking spaces, stopping the car and getting out. She went into the main office of the motel where she booked herself a room before she quickly retreated from the office. The man at the front desk, used to her abrupt manner, did everything she asked without so much as a whisper of small talk, knowing that she wouldn’t bother responding. Or, if she did, she would be quite cold and impersonal. It just wasn’t worth the effort. Rayvenne returned to her car, gathering all of her luggage and locking the car up again before she went to her room and unlocked it. She took everything inside, putting the pet carry case on the bed carefully before she turned and locked the door to the room before drawing the curtains close so that no one could see inside. She shrugged off back backpack and put it in the arm chair before she went over to the bed and unzipped the front of the pet carry case, allowing a large black raven to hop out of it and to stride across the bed. It was unusual in that it had blood red eyes that observed the environment around him with a calculating gaze. The bird turned his head towards Rayvenne before ruffling his feathers before he began to speak, his voice like the cawing of the bird he appeared to be, “You know, I really hate having to travel like that. I would have rather flown.” “I know, Raeghan. But since you’re no longer human, you can’t really have the same benefits as us ground dwellers.” Rayvenne answered, picking up her wheeled bag and putting it on top of the chest of drawers. She turned the television so that it was sideways on, so she could make more room for her bag. She never watched television anyway, so it wasn’t any kind of loss. There was a cawing behind her as Raeghan laughed, “That’s true. I guess there’s ups and downs to everything.” He said, before asking, “Have you contacted him yet?” “No. Not yet. He seems to be busy. He’ll call back. He always does.” Rayvenne answered in a slightly distracted tone as she moved over to her backpack and opened it up to reveal various items, including some clothes. She reached into the back and pulled out a thin laptop before she moved over to the bed and sat herself down with her back against the headboard. She opened the laptop, glancing at Raeghan who was grooming his wing feathers, before she looked back at the device as she opened up the internet browser to look for any jobs going in the area. If Diomedes wasn’t going to call soon, she was going to need something to occupy herself with until he did.- 470 replies

rp: side story Side Story: A Quest for Kraerhil
Neptune replied to Neptune's topic in Craethiel Kingdom's The Tales of Craethiel
Daedrin turned his gaze towards Izanagi when the man said that what he was about to say might be a bit weird only to see the man rubbing the back of his head in what seemed like an embarrassed manner. One of his eyebrows rose when he passed on a message from Odium, calling him weird before the eyebrow rose even further at the demons insistence that he had only used a fraction of his power against the Hounds before Izanagi gave his request. Daedrin sat there for several long moments, just staring at Izanagi before he gave a light snort and turned his eyes back towards the path again, “I’m weird? Your friend seems just as weird, Izanagi. Not that I will ever deny that I’m weird. I most certainly am weird. Also, I have no doubt that Odium isn’t weak. That thought never even crossed my mind so there’s no need for him to be worried about it. That was quite obvious when Superbia came out very much second best in their fight.” He said, wondering if Odium was somehow insecure, since he seemed to worried about what Daedrin thought of him. Or perhaps it was a subtle warning, not to mess with either Odium or Izanagi, something that Daedrin wasn’t planning either. As for the third thing, Daedrin looked back at Izanagi again, “We can. It’s not out of our way, either. But it has the greatest concentration of Hounds of the forest, so it’s very dangerous. There might even be some of Torak’s priests still there… convinced that their God will make a come back.” He said, knowing just how unlikely that was. Daedrin picked up the reigns again before nuding Daegrin forwards to pick up the pace. Even at a quicker pace, it would still take several days to reach the mansion. They continued to follow the path of the Ildran river, past lake Jezero before curving up North towards the Enupen’s Glory Mountains. It was only closer towards the mountains that they were able to ford across the river to get to the other side, before they turned slightly and headed straight towards Ashaba, Torak’s Mansion. They spent their nights much like the first, taking turns in keeping an eye out. Usually, once he was sure that Izanagi was asleep, Daedrin would climb the nearest tree and keep a lookout from there. He wasn’t sure if Odium was able to observe the environment around him without using Izanagi’s senses, so he made sure to keep out of line of sight of the other man, especially when he shifted into his Eldyr form and curled up on the branch in a very quiet watch. That in, on itself stopped a couple of attacks from nearby monsters, who would take one look at Daedrin before running off, clearly knowing that it would be against their best interests to pursue an attack on the travellers. As they were drawing closer to Ashaba, Daedrin looked up and saw a dark cloud that was hovering in the sky, isolated from the other clouds which were white and fluffy on this usual fine day. He pointed it out and said, “Ashaba is just ahead. Torak put that cloud up, to shroud his mansion in darkness. The sun hasn’t shined on it in over a thousand years. A result of a spell that Torak did.” He nudged Daegrin forwards again, taking them ever closer. The dark cloud in the sky seemed to grow larger, encroaching over them. As they neared the point where they would be underneath the cloud, the wind stirred, bringing with it the stench of decay and stagnant water. Daedrin, with his sensitive smell, wrinkled his nose, “I had almost forgotten about the stench.” He muttered, looking up towards the mansion. Unlike the rest of the forest, the trees here were dead and lacked any kind of leaves. Instead, the trees were twisted black objects that seemed to try to claw up towards the sky. Clinging to the bark were strange fungi that glowed slightly in the dark, adding an eerie green glow to the forest around them. There was no grass and the dirt was blackened and dead looking. On rocks, they could see lichen on every inch of its surface, making it look scabbed and diseased. Overall, it all like an unpleasant place to be. Ahead of them, the mansion stood arrogantly from the dead forest, with tall towers and spires that reached up towards the dark sky. It was a huge building, looking more like a palace than an actual mansion. Daedrin pointed it out, “And that… that is Ashaba. We should be as careful as we can. If we’re noticed, they’ll raise the alarm and we’ll no doubt have to fight every Hound in this area.” He said, nudging Daegrin forwards at a slower walk as he kept every sense alert for any kind of danger.- 152 replies

I think the only characters I have in the immediate area of where Luna is, is Devlyn and his partner Yamura. Devlyn is currently busy with one of @Kalvoras Vertal's characters. And Yamura... er, she's not exactly nice xD She's certainly not going to be helpful. I do have a policy where if someone hasn't posted for two weeks without warning but I like to give people a chance at the least.- 219 replies

It's a shame that Rayvenne is currently occupied, although @Solaire hasn't posted since the end of September. But as a monster hunter, Rayvenne would be able to help Luna find a good dragon scale.- 219 replies

Location: Outside Rose’s House Rose glanced at Halie, not thinking anything strange about the question, “Oh, quite a while. It’s almost nine in the morning, and they won’t be back between half six and seven. It depends on whether or not they’ll be picking something up to eat on their way home. But it’s going to be a long time.” She said with a smile. She pulled her hand from the other girls, almost regretfully. She missed the feeling of the girls warm skin against her own and she had to resist the urge to take it back. Unfortunately, she needed her hand to be able to open the front door. She pulled out her house key and inserted it into the lock, unlocking the door. She swung it open, using the leash to nudge Shane inside. The german shepherd strutted inside, carrying his stick proudly. She smiled at Halie, “Come on in.” She invited before stepping into the short hallway. She shrugged off her coat and hung it up on the coat rack before she turned to Shane and unclipped the leash from his collar. Once he was free, he immediately trotted off towards the kitchen, clearly to get a drink. She smiled fondly after him as she rolled up the leash and put it away. She turned to Halie, waiting for her to step into the house before asking, “Do you want something to drink? We have some coffee… or tea, if you’re adventurous. Or we have some orange juice in the fridge.” As far as she was aware, there was no alcohol in the house. Her mother didn’t drink, and if her father did, he kept it well hidden. She herself had little desire for those kinds of drinks. Not even a glass of wine with food. She just found the taste distasteful. Still, at least she had something other than water to offer her new friend, although she wasn’t sure what people her age group usually drank, other than alcohol. Her refusal to partake in such things was one of the reasons why she wasn’t particularly popular in school. She just hoped that Halie didn’t think any less of her for it. Location: Star Lite Motel Zack watched the young woman move into the motel room before looking at him and bowing her head with a heavy blush of shame. Normally, he might feel a measure of sympathy for her, but he was in a foul mood right now and he didn’t particularly care for her troubles. He had enough of his own without worrying about others. He stepped into the motel room, closing the door behind him. He made sure to lock it behind him, before he turned to look at the room itself. As it was a rather cheap motel, it wasn’t furnished particularly well. There was a neatly made double bed that sat in the very centre of the of the room. The sheets were a rather garish multi-coloured pattern that looked cheap and tacky. Against the wall opposite the bed was a chest of drawers with a cheap television. The only other items in the room were two wooden bedside tables, each with a cheap lamp sitting on top of it. On the other side of the room, he could see a door that lead into the bathroom, which was closed at this moment in time. Zack allowed his back to slide down his arm, before he threw it onto the bed before he threw the keys onto the chest of drawers. Only then did he turn towards the girl again, “You can feel free to use the bathroom if you need to. Just don’t take too long.” He said, once again he almost asked for a name but then decided against it. He wasn’t sure if he even wanted to know. After all, all he was going to do was fuck her for the hour and then leave. They were unlikely to ever meet again, and he tended not to use the same prostitute more than once. After today, she was just going to be another woman working the streets. He was as likely to remember her as much as he remembered all the other women he had paid for sexual services. Although this one was going to be a little more memorable than the others simply because she reminded him so much of his Silvia when they had first met. All shyness and blushes. Although she would never resort to this kind of work. He knew. She was far too proud to do it, even if she was wearing rags.

rp: side story Side Story: Loving Confessions
Neptune replied to Neptune's topic in Craethiel Kingdom's The Tales of Craethiel
Rowan found himself chuckling slightly at her willingness to please him. He could see the exhaustion in her eyes, but she was still willing to go for more. He would go for another round, and completely wear her out. At least that night she was going to sleep very well, and they had Baellator to keep an eye out for them, so they could both get some much needed rest after the excitement of the last few days and that wasn’t even including the sex. He kissed her on the forehead gently before he pulled back to address her concerns. He reached up, stroking her soft cheek in a gentle caress. He could never tire of touching her skin. It was so soft and warm to the touch. He gave her a smile, “Of course I want healthy children, but it’s likely that we wouldn’t be able to have any. Not all species are compatible… still, though, Keza’s have been known to produce children with a number of other species and they’ve always turned out healthy. But as long as I’m with you, I’ll be happy. Children or not.” He told her. Rowan pulled back slightly, looking deeply into her eyes before he kissed the tip of her nose lovingly, “I honestly don’t think we have anything to worry about, love. We’re mates now, and I’ll take care of you.” He said. He realised that he would need to take her back home with him, and she was certainly going to find out the truth about him. That he wasn’t just a traveller like he said he was. He had not technically lied, merely kept some of the truth hidden. He didn’t want her to simply see his rank, or status so he decided that he was going to keep quiet on the matter a little longer. Let her get to know the real him before he revealed the truth, so that she could see past the title and position. It wasn’t as if he was next in line to his father’s throne. He was the Royal Spy, the man who found information for his Father. He shook those thoughts from his mind before he straightened and pulled out his cock. He smiled down at her and told her, “Get on your hands and knees, Natia. I’ve made love to you, now I’m going to fuck your brains out.” He then grinned at her.- 32 replies

You can throw your character into the RP, wherever you wish on the map. Or you can see if any RPers are interested in having their characters interact with yours and talk things out before you place them down. Most of mine are occupied in some manner, or waiting on others.- 219 replies

Yes you can make a Neko that's not the fancy kind. You could make your own fancy kind if you so wanted to lol And my response to your initial question was even later than yours was, so I think you're good xD I can sympathise with the bad Internet connection though. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.- 219 replies

Neptune replied to Neptune's topic in Craethiel Kingdom's The Tales of Craethiel
Daedrin once again fell silent as Izanagi explained about how they had summoned Odium, which had confirmed his suspicion that the demon had been as willing as Izanagi in this situation. Despite what people thought of Daedrin, whether it be that he was rude or shockingly blunt, he wasn’t a heartless bastard. He sympathised with their situation, and a part of him was glad that they had killed the cultists responsible. The cultists had violated their rights of freedom, and had needlessly slaughtered the lives of several children in their quest for greed and power. In the end they had paid the price for their folly and their intended weapon had simply fled instead of being willingly used to fight in wars. That made him feel quite smug for some reason. His eyes then moved back to Izanagi as the man theorised on the Hound and Daedrin wondered if the man knew the origin of the Hounds. He was about to speak but Izanagi beat him to it as he stated why he was a compatible vessel for Odium. He gave a slight nod, “I believe I understand. Not many people are capable of controlling such emotions within themselves. Wrath is a very destructive one. I’ve seen it destroy a number of people. I suppose Odium was lucky that you were one of the unfortunate souls to be used by the cultists… despite how much I disapprove of what they did.” He looked out into the forest once again, watching a rabbit dart out of the bushes in front of them, hopping across their path and into another bush to disappear from view. He then said, “It does make sense that Superbia would find one of the Hounds compatible.” He looked back at Izanagi, “We should count ourselves lucky that they are lost in this world, without their Master. Because he would have been an even better host for Superbia. The Hounds have another title that they’re known as. Torak’s Hounds. Torak’s Servants. You see, at least a thousand or so years ago there was a human by the name of Torak. He was greedy, and had a towering pride unmatched by anyone… even today. He was arrogant and thought of himself as a God, his pride was that great. It didn’t help that he was quite talented in Sorcery so he was able to masquerade himself as a God. He amassed quite the cult following, each of them as proud and cruel as he was. They were often blessed with some talent of Sorcery, but none more than Torak. He was shunned by other humans, and so he sought a home within this forest. In fact we will be going past his mansion to our intended location. No other humans could stomach him and he had a death on sight order… not that it did much good. But he ordered his followers to provide him with sacrifices. Human sacrifices. Men, women… children. It made no difference to him. His worshippers would take their intended victim and bend them backwards over an altar while the priest used a knife to slice into their chest while they were still alive, before cutting out their still beating heart. He would then throw the heart into the fires in offering to Torak. The rest of the body was usually disposed of, although there are reports of them being used as food. But the body wasn’t important… just the heart. That was all Torak wanted. He converted a number of his followers into Hounds, killed about half of them in the process. But their lives meant nothing to him. He used the Hounds to patrol the forest, defending his home and finding more sacrifices for him.” Daedrin took a breath, before shaking his head and saying, “Luckily Torak is no longer with us. Due to his talent with Sorcery, he could live for a very long time, one reason why he thought of himself as a God. But he was defeated… by a Daedra of all things. This Daedra stormed his mansion, killing any followers of Hounds that tried to attack him and then… he sealed Torak before he disappeared. No one knows why he did it, or even what became of Torak. Some theorised that he wanted the power of Torak to take over the world but… it’s been a thousand or so years since then. Why hasn’t he done it? I believe the Daedra’s name was Diomedes, and he has been seen around Earth every once and again. He is no fairy tale, he is a real person. But what he has done with Torak is beyond me. There are no scriptures that explain his motives. Only his actions.”- 152 replies

Heya @Chiyako. Welcome to the site and welcome to Craethiel Kingdom. I'll answer your questions in order; Yes you do make your characters through the image button in the Ye Olde Characters page. You make an album where you post an image of your character and put their Character ID into the description of said image. You can post up multiple images all linking to one character if you so wish. You don't need to repeat the Character ID, either. But you keep all of your characters in that one album. There isn't really any major restrictions when it comes to the type of magic that a character can use. As long as it's not God-Moddy or won't affect the RP as a whole, at least permanently. Any race is suitable in this RP. The reason why the Epsian/UFF species are restricted it because they're a created species and you can't use a created species without the owners permission. So you can't use the Eldyrannth or Dreshza in this RP either, since they belong to me. That's pretty much to only restrictions to characters. Don't use one of someone else's creation without permission. And finally... if there was one, someone has yet to overlook it xD- 219 replies

Daedrin kept completely silent throughout the retale, his eyebrows furrowed slightly in thought as he concentrated on the man's story. His eyes flickered away from Izanagi every once and a while to scan to forest around them on the lookout for any surprise attacks. Izanagi’s story was quite sad, and he felt some measure of sympathy for the man. He hadn’t been asked to deal with the burden he had and he had been the victim of the pride and greed of others. He doubted that even Odium had much choice in the matter. He shook his head slightly when Izanagi had finished speaking before he said, “I am sorry to hear that, that happened to you. Using children like that… honestly, it boils my blood. I think I would have killed the cultists if I had seen them doing that. But then I can become very unpredictable when in a full blown rage. Still… war is a terrible thing. It can ruin your life in a million ways.” He said, breathing through his nose. He would know, since he had seen numerous wars in his time. Sometimes even participated in them, but for most of the Earth’s history, he had merely watched, unable to do anything. But then it was not his place to become involved. He tilted his head back towards Izanagi and asked, “What of Odium? Did he go along with the cultists, or was he as much forced in the matter as you were?” He was genuinely curious, since he knew humans well enough by this point that just because Odium had the label of ‘demon’ that they had every right to use him to further their own goals and to use his power, in an attempt to control him. Daedrin was well aware that the world was not as black and white as everyone assumed it was. The angels of your hopes more often than not had a hidden dagger behind their back and intended on dragging you to the depths of the worst hell imaginable, while demons with their twisted faces and fiery natures would hold a delicate flower in their hand as if it was the more precious thing in the universe. He just wanted to pin down just where Odium fell in on that. It was clear that he didn’t seem to get on with his ‘brother’ who held some kind of contempt for Odium. Claiming that Izanagi ‘controlled’ him, and it made Daedrin wonder to the nature of the relationship between Izanagi and the demon.- 152 replies

Location: Outside Redford Park Rose felt a little startled when an arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her closer to Halie. A vibrant blush spread across her cheeks as her stomach somersaulted within her. She almost missed what Halie had said, as her brain seemed to shut off for a few moments. She could feel the girls warm breath against her ear, and it caused a shiver to run down her spine and the hairs on her arms to stand up. Her blush became even brighter as she felt long, slender fingers brushing against her hair. She almost stumbled, feeling her head spinning slightly. There was a fluttering feeling in her chest, and she couldn’t explain why she was feeling this way. No one had ever made her feel like this before, and she found herself confused and a little intimidated by it. Up until this point, she had considered herself strictly straight, and yet she found herself reacting this way to Halie. Did this mean that she liked girls as well? She had no idea and she was almost afraid of the answer. Instead, she gave a shy smile, “O-okay…” She said in a soft voice. She wasn’t sure why Halie referred to herself as ‘Mama’. Perhaps it was one of those kink things she had read about on the Internet? She wasn’t sure, and she was too shy to ask Halie. Perhaps later, when they got to know each other better. But then Rose wasn’t sure if she even should ask, since she had no interest in that kind of thing until she was married. She wanted to keep herself pure for her husband to be, so that he could be the one to teach her all of these things. Or for them to learn together. That would be her ultimate dream. She looked up and saw that they were now walking down her street, and she looked around to see that none of the neighbours were about. The kind old woman that had been tending her flowers was nowhere in sight. Her front door was wide open, and her gardening tools were still in the garden so Rose figured that she had gone back inside for something to drink, or to snack on. She pointed out her own home and said, “That’s my place. Dad’s car is gone, so that means that they’re both at work.” Location: Star Lite Motel Zack pulled up into the Star Lite Motel, the nearest motel to the shop. He had used it often before, and thus his face was well known. He knew that they would keep quiet about him bringing yet another prostitute to fuck but then he was hardly the only lonely husband that came to seek some relief from their urges. He parked the car, shutting off the engine and pulling out his keys, “Come on. Get out.” He said, before climbing out of the car. He waited until the young women was out before he locked the car doors. He then moved to the back end of the car and unlocked the boot which he opened and pulled out a bag which he swung onto his shoulder. He closed the boot before he told her, “Wait here. I’ll go rent the room.” He said, before he walked off without another word towards the small office that the motel had. He opened the door and stepped inside where he could see a bored receptionist reading a magazine. She looked up at him when he stepped through and her eyes lit up with recognition, “Hey, Zack. Room for the hour?” She asked. “Yes, please.” He responded, pulling his wallet out and pulling out several notes which he handed to her. As habit, she counted them before putting them into the till. She then turned and picked up a key from the wall before she turned and gave it to him, “Have fun.” She said with a smile. He smiled back, but didn’t respond verbally. He walked back out of the door, before he looked at the key and saw that he had room nineteen. He walked back to the girl, before telling her, “Come on.” He then walked off away from the car along the building, his eyes flicking to the numbers on the doors. When he came to the right door, he pushed the key in and unlocked it before throwing open the door and indicating for the girl to enter. He glanced around, making sure that no one was watching him, as the last thing he wanted was for someone to either tell his wife or, worse yet, show pictures or video.

Daedrin couldn’t help but to let out a soft snort of amusement at Izanagi’s last comment. He looked up at his friend, the corner of his lip twitching as his red eyes glinted in his amusement, “No, I suppose not. It would have been far worse had he tried to, I don’t know, rip your face off.” He said before opening the bottle of antiseptic and pouring some on a small scrap of bandage, “Now this may sting a little.” He warned before he used the piece of bandage cloth to wipe away the blood and to press against the wound to clean it of any potential infection, something that he knew was a problem in these days. But then the medical technology of this time was very limited, not like he had seen before. Still, he was relieved that Izanagi had good healing that would allow him heal quickly. Once he was done, he rolled up some of the bandages, placing them against the open wound before he began to use the rest to wrap up his shoulder securely. As he was doing this, he couldn’t help but to privately note that Izanagi had a very well built torso, but he put that thought out of his mind as he concentrated on treating the man. Once he was done, he pulled back and inspected his handiwork before nodding, “It’s done. Now get dressed and let’s get out of here.” He said, before turning and walking over to Daegrin without another word. He put his medical supplies away before using a water bottle to clean his hands of any blood before he mounted up on Daegrin. He settled himself down before picking up the reigns and nudging Daegrin forwards in a canter. The huge horse jumped forwards, snorting as he cantered forwards, weaving through the trees as they escaped the area of carnage. Daedrin wanted to get a while away from it before slowing down so that they could talk. The closer they were, the more chances that they would encounter something nasty. So he allowed Daegrin to canter for a while before slowing the huge Aelda down into a walk to allow both him and Lucky to rest from the exercise. He turned in his saddle slightly to look at Izanagi, “Now that we’re far enough away to be… somewhat safe, how about that story of yours? I’m genuinely curious about it.” He said. Since Izanagi had been the one to offer to tell it, Daedrin had no compunctions about asking him to elaborate on it. He kept half of his attention on the forest surroundings, and the other half solely on Izanagi.- 152 replies

Thaene looked over at Karma when the engine of the car sputtered, before he looked at where they ignition was, watching as Karma tried again before he smacked the steering wheel in his frustration. A frustration that Thaene sympathised with, as that had often happened to his own car before he had been able to fix it up properly. When Karma got out of the car, Thaene followed his example and got back out into the bitterly cold air. He closed the door with a snap before turning around, his shoes making a grinding sound on the snow beneath his feet. He then shrugged, “No need to be sorry, sexy. Shit happens.” He said, his breath steaming on the cold air. He stuffed his hands in his pocket before he moved around the car as Karma got out his phone and called someone, clearly someone that would be able to do something about his car. Thaene cocked an eyebrow at his friend when he put away the phone, “Inconvenience? No. I’m someone that tends to walk the streets a lot. And there’s no need to call me ‘sir’, Karma. That’s just weird. That shit is for authority figures and I hate authority figures.” He said before taking a hand out of his pocket and grabbed one of Karma’s, interlocking their fingers together, “Come on. I need to pop back home to pick up some merch for my mate, and then we’ll go visit him at his shop to make a drop off. He’s having a party tonight so he needs some good shit, and I’m his man.” He said, sincerely hoping that his mother was no longer at his grandparents, otherwise this was bound to be extremely awkward for him and Karma, and there was no way he was going to let Karma wait out in the cold. His grandparents, well aware of his sexual preference, didn’t particularly care as long as his partners didn’t get him mixed up in trouble. His mother on the other hand, would object on the simple principle that this was Thaene and she hated everything that he did. She never let him forget any mistake he had made, and thus the two of them had a terrible relationship with each other. He smiled at Karma before pulling the fox boy closer and walking out of the car park. He had delivered to this area before, thus he knew exactly how to get back home to pick up what he needed. He turned them down the path, looking around to see that the street was fairly empty. Clearly most people still inside, resting after eating far too much on Christmas day. Not that Thaene could blame them. And while his day yesterday had gone from good, to really bad, it had ended on a very good note with a sexy little fox boy to keep him company. He looked at Karma and said, “I think the only inconvenience might be any hidden ice.” The moment he had said that, his show slipped on some ice but he was able to stop himself from toppling over. He gave Karma a big grin, “See.” He said with a snicker before saying, “You could fucking ice skate down this road.” -

Devlyn let out a heavy breath through his nose when he felt that soft tongue of hers rolling around the sensitive head of his cock. The pleasure shot up the length of his cock and up his spine. He couldn’t stop his eyes closing for just a moment before he opened them back up again, staring down at his new pet. His new trophy. His upper lip twitched slightly, resisting the urge to growl softly as she began to bob her head up and down, teasing him without being a bitch about it. It allowed him to enjoy the feeling of her mouth wrapped around his cock, her tongue wiggling against the thick veins of his cock making it twitch in her mouth. He was enjoying himself immensely and he smirked slightly as she spoke around his cock, sending small vibrations down its length, “It better be, because you’ll be pleasuring this cock for the rest of your life.” Devlyn told her, making his intent clear that he was going to enslave her for the rest of her natural life which, for people these days wasn’t that long. Devlyn was going to easily out-live her. And by then he would have a new pet in which to please him. Aria was a means to sate himself, nothing more. He wasn’t able to hold back a growl when she pushed her head down so that the head of his cock pressed down into her throat. He could feel the muscles tightening around the head of his dick, forcing him to have to repress the urge to thrust his hips forwards. His eyes half closed when he felt her gag around him, the muscles tightening even further. He was pleased that she had a gag reflex. While he enjoyed the feeling of being able to ram his cock down someone’s throat, he enjoyed it even more when he made a bitch gag around his cock. A soft growl escaped him as he felt her trying to force more down her throat, giving him pleading looks as he stared down at her. He twitched slightly when she started to hum, sending vibrations down the length of his cock that felt incredible, scattering his mind and making him want to melt. But he resisted the urge and instead reached forwards and gripped her soft hair in his hand, clenching his fist as he pushed his hips forwards. He gave her a dark smirk, as he was aiming to practically suffocate her with his own cock, to put her pathetic life in his hands. She was his to do with as he pleased, and if he wanted to he could dispose of her within a moment. He drew his cock back, allowing her to breath before he slammed her head down, forcing his cock down into her throat, “Now keep sucking, bitch.” He said, his voice a husky growl.- 20 replies

The feeling of Natia cumming around Rowan made his head spin. Her already tight cunt tightened even further around him. He could feel every minute shift in her pussy muscles as they convulsed around him, aiming to milk him of every drop of his cum. Every drop that he was more than willing to give to her. He kept himself planted firmly inside of her, feeling their combined cum squirting out of her tight cunt and onto the tunic below. When his orgasm had died down, he was left panting slightly as he tried to focus himself. His head was spinning still, and every nerve tingled pleasantly from the aftershocks of his intense orgasm. His cock remained lodged inside of her, as he was reluctant to leave just yet. He closed his eyes for a moment, concentrating on his breathing and calming it down slightly as his racing hearts began to slow down to a more regular pace. His mind was still feeling slightly scrambled and he doubted that he could make a coherent sentence right about now. He pulled himself back slightly and looked down into Natia’s face, his golden gaze searching her bewitching purple eyes. His eyes then moved down to her lips, a little concerned that he saw a conflicted smile there. It made him worry that she had regretted it, this pleasure that they had shared together. That thought made his stomach churn, as he didn’t want her to regret it. He had certainly enjoyed this experience that they had shared. It was one that he was never going to forget, despite the amount of intimate encounters that he had, had in his life. His hand raised itself unconsciously, stroking his thumb against her cheek in a gentle, caressing motion. He heard her broken sentence, and stilled slightly as he searched her face, wondering what she was thinking. A part of him was afraid that she would push him away, demand to give back what he had taken from her. When he saw tears building up in her eyes, he felt his heart sink as he was now worried that he had upset her. However her next action dispelled that fear, as she pulled them closer and said that she was all his. He allowed a smile to curve on his lips as he pulled her even closer. Rowan leaned down, gently kissing along the bite mark that he had left, “Good.” He said softly into her ear, “Because I’ve already marked you as my mate.” He said, before he realised that she could have no clue to what he really meant there. So he decided to explain it to her, “It’s why I bit you. I’m sorry if it hurt, but it’s an instinctual urge we Keza’s have when we find a mate compatible with us. A mate that we want to spend our time, and life with. I tried to hold back, because I know you’re not a Keza and thus not bound by our rules, but the urge became too much and I wasn’t able to stop myself. So that wasn’t just a bite… that was me bonding to you as a mate.” He shifted slightly, feeling that his cock was still rock hard inside of her. As a healthy Keza male, he knew he could just keep on going, but he doubted Natia could. Not with it being so soon after losing her virginity. She would no doubt be sore, and he would respect her if she wanted to stop. However he still kissed her on the cheek and asked, “Are you up for more? I’m still able to go for another round. If you’re not up to it, then I can understand and respect that.”- 32 replies

Daedrin watched Izanagi’s movements, seeing how awkward they were and wondered how much that wound was hurting him. He vaguely wondered if being demonic in the way he was, would let him heal faster. It was bad enough being completely healthy while in this forest. With how awkwardly Izanagi was moving, it would pose a problem if they were attacked. He then tilted his head slightly when Izanagi spoke, saying that he was both a demon and a host. He was right, it sounded complicated. His lip twitched a little in amusement as Izanagi looked around and made a comment about the carnage that Odium had done on the Hounds. It was clear that Izanagi had no idea what had happened from the moment Odium had taken control. It made him even more curious as to the nature of their relationship with one another. He certainly doubted it was like other host relationships he had encountered, but he didn’t allow his thoughts to travel down that rabbit hole. He then watched as his companion moved over to his horse, calming her down with a few gentle words and strokes of her neck and back. Daedrin turned around fully when Izanagi thanked him for taking care of Lucky, and Daedrin shrugged a little but before he could respond Izanagi offered to tell him the story of how he came to be how he was. Daedrin was extremely curious to hear that, but he glanced around before looking back at Izanagi, “You can tell that tale when we’re riding again. It’s best not to linger for too long around here, otherwise we’ll end up having to fight ghouls who are attracted by all the dead. But before we can do that… I want to at least clean that wound of yours up. I learnt some basic first aid from my Father, who’s a Doctor. Even if this demonic aspect of yourself gives you accelerated healing, I doubt it’s a good idea to let it go untreated.” He said, moving over to Daegrin and pulling down a carton of water, a bottle of primitive antiseptic, and some bandages. He patted Daegrin’s neck as he passed, the Aelda eyeing Izanagi warily. Daedrin silently told the Aelda to be nice, before he approached Izanagi, his eyes fixed on the bleeding wound, “Take off your shirt.” He then asked, wanting full access to the wound so that he could treat it.- 152 replies

Daedrin felt relieved that Izanagi was able to take care of the two hounds easily, without much effort on his part. However that relief didn’t last long. He watched as his companion dismounted from Lucky’s back, stepping away from the horse. Daedrin was about to open his mouth to ask what was wrong, but he then paused as he felt more Hounds quickly converging on their location. He tightened the grip on his sword, his eyes narrowing. He knew that Hound packs were large, but this was big even for a Hound pack. He looked back over at Izanagi when the man spoke, his tone scared and cautious. It was a tone that Daedrin had not heard from the man before, “Stay calm.” Daedrin cautioned him, not wanting anyone to panic. He kept his own tone calm and collected, as he knew that sometimes when someone was scared, they paid more attention to someone's tone than their words. He turned his eyes back to the area around them when the Hounds suddenly appeared, surrounding them. Daedrin raised his sword, but none of them immediately attacked, a fact that Daedrin found very suspicious. Daegrin let out an aggressive whinny, almost sounding like a growl as he pawed the ground with his huge hooves. His huge head tossed, glaring at the Hounds around them. When the dark, ominous voice sounded, Daedrin looked around as he eyed the Hounds, listening to the voice carefully. Some Hounds could indeed speak, however they often sounded like they were having to chew out the words the sounds often snarled. These words came easily from the being, not like how he expected from a Hound. He concentrated, casting out his mind as he tried to pinpoint the origin of the voice. There was another mind, similar yet different from the other Hounds. Its mind was darker than the other Hounds, and Daedrin could read a towering sense of pride, cockiness and cunningness. He paid attention to the words, frowning slightly at what the voice had said. As the new Hound stepped up, revealing himself, Daedrin turned and stared at him. His eyes narrowed as he saw that it was larger than a normal Hound, and its fur was dark grey instead of black and it had a curious rune on its forehead that was the same colour as its eyes. This was not something that he was expecting, and he had no idea what was going on. He was on full alert now, his eyes fixed on Superbia as his telepathy kept a close eye on the Hounds around them, just in case they tried a sneak attack. But the moment, they were on alert, waiting. Daedrin watched the conversation between Superbia and Izanagi unfold, paying attention to every word. Clearly this Hound knew Izanagi, and they were speaking about something he had little knowledge about. His eyebrows rose as the creature accused Izanagi of lying. As far as he was aware, not a single lie had passed Izanagi’s lips. It was one of the reasons he had respect for the man. His interest was caught when the creature mentioned that Izanagi had not told him something. He kept his expression impassive as the creature turns its eyes towards him, as if its words had no effect on him. Inside however, he was deeply curious and he would be lying to himself if he said that he didn’t want to know what this secret was. When the Hound announced that Izanagi was a demon, an embodiment of sin, Daedrin almost fell off his horse. Daegrin let out a snort of surprise, understanding the words being spoken as well. At Superbia’s next words, Daedrin tilted his head slightly, before turning his eyes to Izanagi as he observed the man carefully. Outside, he looked calm and collected, however inside he was deeply shocked and if he was expressing how he currently felt he would have to be scraping his jaw up from the forest floor. He had known, suspected, that Izanagi wasn’t human but he didn’t think it would be something like this. It made a few things about the man make sense, now that the information had been brought to light. But it still didn’t stop Daedrin from being shocked to the core about it. His grip on his sword loosened for just a moment before it tightened. Now wasn’t exactly the time to let this get to him. They were still in trouble, after all. He forced his attention back to the situation at hand as Superbia began talking again, hinting that he was planning on eating Izanagi, like he did humans. Daedrin’s eyes narrowed in anger, and he could practically feel the anger rolling off of his companion. The whites of Daedrin’s eyes turned glossy black and his grip tightened on his sword even more as he gritted his teeth. He almost didn’t hear Izanagi’s request as he was trying not to simply lash out with rage, but the words registered in his mind. With a tug, he drew Daegrin closer to Lucky as the Aelda gave an angry snort. ‘Calm yourself. And protect Lucky.’ Daedrin ordered him with silent words into his mind, as he shifted, bringing one leg up to press against his saddle as he prepared to leap off of the Aelda to protect Lucky’s unprotected flank. He then jerked in surprise as he felt a blast of hot air, and he snapped his head around to stare at Izanagi once again as he began to speak words out loud. It sounded like some kind of mantra, or even a spell. His eyes moved down to the ring of blood red fire around the mans feet as the flames became more intense the more he spoke, spreading up across his entire body. Daedrin’s eyes went wide as he watched, his mouth dropping open slightly. Soon, his vision of his friend was completely obstructed by the view of the fire. Daedrin was glad that the Hounds seemed content to watch as well, because he was unable to pull his attention away from Izanagi as he continued to watch the inferno, frozen in place. As shocked as he was, a part of him couldn’t help but to feel concerned for Izanagi. But the words that the man were saying were firm and unyielding, as if speaking with absolute conviction in what he was doing. When the fire died down, Daedrin almost dropped his sword when the entire right side of Izanagi’s torso and head were pitch black colour, with orange lines etched across it in a chaotic pattern as well as various runes that Daedrin gathered were demonic in nature. It seemed that Superbia had not been lying. Izanagi was a demon, or at least he hosted one. Daedrin figured that this was perhaps some kind of blending of the two, or perhaps the demon had taken over Izanagi’s body. Daedrin’s head tilted slightly when Izanagi began to speak, but the voice no longer sounded like his own. It was deeper, darker and far more ominous. In comparison, Izanagi sounded like a friendly, sociable person. Superbia’s next words interested him. Keep him under control? Was he implying that Izanagi controlled this demon in some fashion? Or it perceived it as controlling? At least he got the demons name. Odium. It was not a name he had encountered before. Daedrin’s attention was jerked from his thoughts when Superbia gave the kill command. He would have to figure out his thoughts later. Daedrin leapt over Lucky’s back, as several of the Hounds were coming her way. One of the Hounds leapt up, snarling viciously at him as its jaw dropped open with the intention of snapping his face off. However it was met by the silvery metal of his blade, and its snarl turned into a howl of pain as Daedrin sliced across its chest. It dropped down to the ground, writhing and scrabbling its paws into the forest floor. Daedrin was forced to pay attention to the other two, telekinetically slapping them around the face and causing them to fly back into the trees with loud, snapping sounds. Daedrin raised his sword, swinging it down as he beheaded the Hound that lay whimpering at his feet. Another Hound came forwards, its upper lip in a snarl as it showed off its blood stained teeth. Daedrin simply turned around and stared down into its eyes, allowing the Killing Intent of his Daedric eyes to be unleashed upon it. The Hound froze in its tracks, its eyes going wide as its limbs began to tremble. It then let out a human-like shriek, laced with terror, as it turned around and ran away from Daedrin as fast as it could go, whimpering and screaming. Other hounds sidestepped the prone body of its packmate and darted towards him, aiming to ambush him from all sides. However he lifted his sword, the crystals on its hilt glowing before he swung his sword in an arch in front of him. As it did so, a pulse of purple energy erupted from the tip of the sword which slammed into the Hounds. Pained screams escaped them as they were thrown back and crushed against the trees as their bones snapped as their organs ruptured from the force of the impact. Daedrin turned to see how Daegrin was doing and saw the Aelda had several dead Hounds at its feet. Some of them looked to have been crushed by his large front hooves whereas a couple of others looked as if their necks had been snapped from the force of his kicks. Finally, Daedrin turned to see how Izanagi was- or was it Odium now? Daedrin wasn’t sure at this point. He had turned around to watch in time for Superbia to lunge towards Izanagi in a forward charge. He watched curiously as the man easily dodged the attack before Superbia attacked with a strange green ball of energy which Izanagi easily took care of. But it seemed to be a distraction as the possessed Hound, for a lack of a better term, leapt onto Izanagi and pinned him to the floor and bit the man's left shoulder. Daedrin moved to try and help, however a snarl from beside him stopped him as he was forced to turn around to face a charging Hound. He raised his sword, the blade glinting in the sun that broke through the treetops, before it came down and sliced as easily through its skull like a knife through hot butter. Its blood splattered across the floor and the body of the hound twitched a few times before lying still. Daedrin turned back around, just in time to hear Izanagi let out a shout before the sound of an explosion rang the clearing. Daedrin watched as Superbia was blown across the clearing into a tree. The impact made Daedrin wince a little, as it sounded painful. He wanted to move over to them, but he couldn’t leave Lucky so unprotected. Daegrin, he was confident could look after himself, but Lucky was a normal horse. She was already skittish, her eyes wide with fear and nervously shifting from one hoof to the next. It was a miracle that she was remaining still, but Daedrin had no doubt Daegrin was the one responsible for that. He saw Izanagi approaching the beast, but he couldn’t keep his focus on it as he sensed even more Hounds coming his way. He was forced to turn back around and he narrowed his eyes at them. He caught one of them in his gaze, causing them to freeze in fear before it darted off, screaming in terror at the horrific images Daedrin’s eyes conjured up for them. He then jumped forwards, swinging his blade as if it was weightless, despite its size. He cut off the head of one Hound before plunging the sharp tip into the chest of another, pushing it through the beasts heart. He withdrew his blade, but was forced to duck as a Hound leapt towards him, causing the creature to sail over him. The Hound turned around before jumped again but Daedrin telekinetically snapped its neck. It slumped to the ground, skidding to a stop just before his feet. Daedrin then turned around again when he sensed one trying to sneak up behind him and he smirked at it as his keen senses spoilt its attack. The Hound paused, glaring hatefully at him but avoiding his gaze. It ran forwards, keeping low to the ground as it seemed to take aim at his ankle in an attempt to disable him so that he couldn’t run away. Daedrin took hold of his sword in two hands, lifting the blade above his head before he brought it down and causing the tip to sink into the Hounds skull with a loud snapping sound. He thrust the sword down further, pinning the creature to the forest floor. Its paws scrabbled against the forest leaves for several moments before it lay still and Daedrin yanked the blade from its body. Daedrin turned his attention back to Izanagi as the man picked up Superbia by the neck and pinned him to the tree before his next attack fried the demon to the point where the upper half of its body was completely destroyed. He winced at the crashing of the tree, the sound loud in the clearing. Granted, it was not as loud as the screaming Hounds, but it was enough to make Daedrin wince. He turned around as he heard paws against the ground and saw that the Hounds were retreating now that their leader had fallen. He watched them for a few moments, before he stepped around Lucky as he stared at Izanagi who was approaching him calmly. Daedrin let the glossy black fade from his eyes, but he didn’t break eye contact with Izanagi. He was tense, unsure if this new Izanagi would attack him and really, the last thing he wanted to do right now was to have a fight with the man, especially since his sword was moved in a threatening manner. But his eyebrows shot up a little in surprise when the man put his weapon on the ground to show that he was not a threat. Slowly, Daedrin lowered his own weapon as well but didn’t relinquish it. His eyebrows rose even further at the words that were spoken. So it seemed that it was Odium that was in charge at the moment and must have been since the moment of transformation. Daedrin watched as the black energy dissipated, leaving Izanagi as he once was before the man fell to his knees. Daedrin said nothing as his companion glanced up at him before looking down again, a flash of fear and shame in his eyes, clearly worried about what Daedrin thought of him and what his reaction was. With him being on his knees, his eyes off of Daedrin, it would be easy for Daedrin to simply slice off his head. It was a great show of trust on his part. But Daedrin did not do that. He lifted his sword, reaching into his pocket and pulling out his rag as he wiped it across the blade to clean it of the blood the Hounds had left away before he slid it into its sheath. He then strode over to Izanagi and grabbed the arm of his uninjured shoulder before pulling the man to his feet so that he was no longer kneeling on the forest floor. Daedrin looked at the wound on his shoulder, it looked as if it needed treatment but he didn’t say anything on it for now. “You can tell Odium that I’ve heard that before. It doesn’t change anything, though.” He said, with a hint of amusement in his tone. He squeezed the man's arm slightly before letting go and taking a step back from him. He then bent down and picked up Izanagi’s sword, before turning it and offering it to the man, with the hilt facing towards Izanagi, “I had my suspicions that you weren’t human, but I didn’t expect that one. Although I completely understand why you kept that to yourself. Most people won’t react kindly to that news. It’s been a long time since someone has shocked me quite like that, but you’ve managed it. What is the deal? You’re what? A demon? Or you host one?” He then asked, keeping his tone neutral other than a hint of curiosity. He wasn’t angry with Izanagi, not in the slightest. He would be a hypocrite if he was. He could completely understand why the man kept it a secret. After all, Daedrin knew it was a bad idea to go around telling everyone that he was part Daedra. If he had to be honest, now that the shock of it was wearing off, it made him more comfortable around Izanagi. He was the only person in this Kingdom who could even remotely relate to him on the matter. Daedrin knew he posed no threat to anyone, but with how narrow minded people were in this age, if they knew that he was a Daedra they would change their opinion of him in an instant. The people of this time were very much driven by their own fear, especially fear of the unknown and Daedrin would be an unknown entity to them. Thus it was better to keep his mouth quiet, for his own safety.- 152 replies

Location: Outside Redford Park Rose shot Halie a startled look at the way the girl had spoken about her mother, shocked that she had said something like that another her mother. But then, she was an outsider, who knew very little about Rose’s mother. She could appreciate how it looked, and a little part of her did agree with Halie. Her mother had become quite useless over the years, especially when it came to her family. She made no effort to talk to Rose, and always ignored her when Rose tried to engage her in conversation. About the only thing she actively did, was the administrative work for their shop, but that was it. She knew that part of the reason her father didn’t just divorce her and try and find someone else, was because he felt responsible for Silvia, and didn’t want to abandon her when she needed him. He would no doubt be racked with guilt. Still, it was shocking to hear such an opinion from someone else, and Rose felt more than a little troubled by it. She didn’t even know what to say back to Halie, finding no defense that she could bring up to defend her mother. She was brought from her thoughts when Halie began to speak again, causing Rose to look worried. She had not heard anything about missing young girls from the park. The thought of a rapist kidnapping her and having his way with her, caused her to shudder in revulsion. She couldn’t stand the thought of some stranger touching her like that. She wanted to save herself for that special someone, the one she would spend the rest of her life with. Halie’s words caused a coil of fear in her gut and she had difficulty breathing for a few moments. Unconsciously, she walked a little closer to Halie as if seeking her protection, “R-really? I… I’ve never heard of that.” She said, her voice coming out a little squeakier than she would have liked. She clutched Halie’s hand a little harder, glancing behind her at the park, feeling a sense of relief that they were out of it now. She wasn’t sure if she could go there alone without that warning from Halie playing in her mind. She had been there countless of times alone, and with Shane, and she could have been kidnapped any one of those times. That thought made her guts freeze and her breath to catch in her chest. She looked at Halie, looking scared and worried, “Y-you’re joking… right?” She asked, a slightly hopeful edge to her voice. Location: Behind Winter Flowers. Zack glanced at his passenger when she spoke. The girl looked so small sitting in that seat, a seat that his wife usually sat in. The two seemed so similar it was almost sickening. He gave a slight shrug before reaching back and gripping his seatbelt and pulling it over himself before pushing it in with a faint click. He pulled himself out of the parking space before turning the car and heading out into the main road. As he drove to the nearest motel where he knew he could rent a room for a few hours, he glanced again at the girl sitting beside him, “I would hardly call it support. It’s just business. I’m just one of your customers. You’re selling me a service. It might be easier for you if you keep that in mind.” He told her before falling silent, not particularly interested in talking for the car ride. It was not going to be too long either way. He came to a stop by a red light, his gaze moving to a young family that were walking down the street. The child had to be about five years old, his face split in a large grin as he was talking eagerly to his parents who looked attentive and gave him soft smiles as the mother was pushing a pram. Zack couldn’t help but to think how idyllic the three seemed, and wondered just what dirty little secrets the parents had. No one could be that perfect. He had learnt the hard way that even when everything seems fine and perfect, that happiness could be shattered like glass into a million pieces, unable to be pieced together again. His gaze returned to the road again as the light turned green and he continued driving, leaving the family behind, easily pushing them from his thoughts as he tried to concentrate on his driving. He continued to ignore the girl beside him, as he felt that even her very presence was proving to be distracting. While he was at the point in his life where he might not particularly care if he died, he was still reluctant to recklessly put his life in danger. He still loved Silvia, and she needed him. If it wasn’t for him, she would have simply allowed herself to waste away and Zack just couldn’t let that happen to the love of his life. And it wouldn’t be fair on Rose, either. His daughter was very dear to him, and he knew she would miss him. She would also sacrifice everything just to care for her mother, and that wasn’t a burden Zack wanted to put on her. It was a burden that he was barely coping with. Outlets, like taking this young women to a motel to fuck her, were his way of coping with the stress and he couldn’t wait to return back to the shop feeling significantly less tense.

Daedrin glanced at his companion before he looked on ahead again as he considered Izanagi’s question. His directional hearing wasn’t as good as he wished it could be, but the howls seemed to be coming from the same general direction from where he had first heard them. He tilted his head slightly in the direction that the sounds were coming from, a slight frown creasing between his well formed eyebrows. After a few moments he said, “I don’t think they’re following us, no… but they’re a little too close for comfort. Which is unfortunate, since they sound like Hounds. It is unusual to see them this close to the forest edge. Usually they are deeper within.” Daegrin let out a nervous snort and he stroked the bowed neck in a reassuring gesture, “Stay on your guard.” He then ordered Izanagi. He felt something flare up on his telepathic sensors however after a moment he identified it as a deer which was running past them, a few metres to their right. He turned his head in the direction of the animal and sure enough, saw a flash of brown as the animal darted past. He turned his attention forwards again as the two of them continued riding forwards, Daedrin’s every sense alert. He heard another howl, this time slightly away from where they had heard the previous howl. After a moment he said, “Okay, that one was closer. I think it’s possible that we’ll have an encounter.” He gripped his sword and drew it slowly, before there was another baying howl, this time even closer. He recognised that howl. It was definitely a Hound and it was the kind of howl they used when hunting. He then felt four minds enter his telepathic field, darting in their direction. With their minds so open to him, he could feel the malicious cruelness that exuded. The four Hounds wanted nothing more than to tear into their flesh and scatter their remains across the forest floor. They hunted not to fill their belly, but to inflict pain and suffering. A loud snarl ripped through the air causing Daedrin to call out, “PREPARE YOURSELF!” As he shouted that, a black hound burst from the bushes to his right, jumping straight for him. He turned his head to stare at the creature, his sharp eyesight seeing every detail. Its manged and matted coat, the smear of dirt across its shoulder and the dried, blackened blood around its muzzle. Its red eyes glowed with hatred and malice towards him, with a deep sense of hunger for his pain. Its gaze and appearance did not phase him however, and he flickered up his sword. Daegrin let out a whinney, dancing to the side, allowing the arch of Daedrin’s sword to slice through the neck of the Hound. There was a spray of blood and the snarl of the Hound turned into a whine of pain that lasted only for a moment before it was cut short. The body of the hound fell to the floor of the forest, its limbs twitching. Daedrin turned his attention to the remaining Hounds. A second Hound darted towards him, the other two heading to attack Izanagi and Lucky. This Hound was more cautious in its approach after seeing its packmate killed with such efficiency. Daedrin glared down at the creature before saying, “I advise you leave, now. Otherwise you will die.” The hound ignored him, darting to the side to try and flank him. Daegrin was quick and intelligent though, and easily turned to keep the hound visible. This caused the hound to freeze for a moment before darting in and snarling as it snapped at Daegrin’s throat. The Aelda jumped back, raising up as he let out a loud whinney before kicking out with his front legs. The Hound let out a whine of pain as he hooves struck, pinning the creature to the forest floor. Daegrin let out an angry snort before stamping down on the hound and crushing it beneath his huge hooves. Once Daegrin was sure that it was dead, he stepped to the side and Daedrin turned to see how Izanagi was fairing although from what he had seen this far, he did not need to worry much about him.- 152 replies
