WritesNaughtyStories Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 Guess it's to me then. Do we want to recruit a replacement?
Youko Kurama Posted April 24, 2020 Author Posted April 24, 2020 We can if someone wants to join. We'll just fit them in where ever.
Youko Kurama Posted April 25, 2020 Author Posted April 25, 2020 @Bruhlord You're up. I like the world so far. Seems pretty sweet.
Bruhlord Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Oops right Ill get right on it and yeah, so far it is shaping up nicely
Bruhlord Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Also can I add anything right now, as in Periods events or scenes? Im a little rusty on some rules so I dunno.
Youko Kurama Posted April 25, 2020 Author Posted April 25, 2020 Yeah. You can add a period, event, or scene at any point within the timeline. The only rule it not to contradict anything that's already established. 1
LeonaFair Deactivated Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 *pops head up from rabbit hole* hallo! What's up?
WritesNaughtyStories Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Hey, cutie! How are you? Welcome to the game!
LeonaFair Deactivated Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Comes out of the hole completely shaking herself brushing some dirt off. "Thank ya kindly boys. I'm alright...now where at right now?"
Youko Kurama Posted April 25, 2020 Author Posted April 25, 2020 I believe it is still @Bruhlord's turn, then It'd be on you. We'll explain if you have any questions.
Bruhlord Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Shidd, sorry guys thought I got around to doing that >•< ill get on it FOR REAL this time 1
LeonaFair Deactivated Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Ok so the places listed is it made to be rp places or what?
Youko Kurama Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 Okay. Quick overview of this game. On your turn you may add to the timeline. You can add a period (big chunk of history) an event (major historical events like wars, plagues, etc.) Or a scene. Events go inside periods. Scenes happen inside events. The only real rule is no contradicting what has been already established.
Youko Kurama Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 To start a scene. Pick an event and ask a question. Example: The statue of virtue topples. I'd ask, why was it destroyed? Or better, why did captain big nose go out of his way to kill elven slaves during the event? Anything works, then you can pick up to 2 characters who must appear an up to one who is banned (don't worry to much if it sounds complicated it's easier than it sounds) The scene ends when the question is answered.
LeonaFair Deactivated Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Ah...ok so the one brulord posted is the one we go through?
Youko Kurama Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 (edited) That appears to be a new time period. So it's your turn to add something. More scenes will start popping up as the setting gets more fleshed out. Edited April 26, 2020 by Youko Kurama
LeonaFair Deactivated Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Ok gonna admit I got no clues how to end immortal elders...
Youko Kurama Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 You don't have to do anything with that. You can make up something new at any point of the timeline.
Youko Kurama Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 The elders just exist now. Unless one of us makes up more info about them. You can do the same with your turn. You just make up new history. Scenes get easier to make as we learn more about the world.
Youko Kurama Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 Anything you decide on your turn is true. We can't change it directly. We can make up other events that change the way you see it though.
WritesNaughtyStories Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 OK @LeonaFair, do you get how it works now?
LeonaFair Deactivated Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Yep I gets it! This is cool! Though one question; how does the scenes work how do they come about to make the scenes?
WritesNaughtyStories Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Same way everything else does. Someone adds a Scene to a Time Period by posting a set-up for the Scene that asks a question about the event or time period, a cast of at least two characters who are in the scene and optionally one character who must not be in the scene.
LeonaFair Deactivated Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 So cant just jump in there to say assassin anyone at random?
