JennyDK Posted November 30, 2022 Author Posted November 30, 2022 OOC: I just mostly wanted them to have a nice and friendly conversation, that's pretty much it. Just something that makes future scenes possible and giving them something to interact on in that regard.
JennyDK Posted June 7, 2024 Author Posted June 7, 2024 Scene between: @JennyDK and @encee. ---------------------------------------------- Bridget has just gotten done with her last lecture of the day and outside the windows, the sun is slowly starting to set, looking warm and pretty. Today has been a good experience for all, but still quite tiring. This has left the demon teacher sort of of half asleep in her chair. Near her sits one of the many cups of coffee she is drinking from, getting kind of cold and unappealing. She begins to think back to the days before all of this happened, sort of in a daydream-like manner. Her focus is very much not on anything else and thus easy to surprise, should one want to do so. In her hands, she fiddles with some kind of magical item, she has brought with her to class to show and talk about.
encee Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 (edited) Scene between: @JennyDK and @encee. ________________________________________ Arya's first day was expected to be a tiring one - the first days always were. Arya's large stature would mean that her footsteps were quite heavy, so despite if she wanted to startle someone, she really couldn't. The death claw that was Arya had just about greeted everyone, but some were more impactful than others. "You're Bridget?" The blunt woman asked, at least having the courtesy to supplement her bluntness with what was expected from her. "Arya. I'm the new P.E teacher" Arya didn't smile much, mainly due to how at the moment she always was, her jaw being more suitable for eating than smiling. "I just finished going through the student folders. We have some potentials with exercise... Some, not so much" Arya sat down, squatting on a chair that by rights was too small for her. JennyDK Posted June 8, 2024 Author Posted June 8, 2024 OOC: You probably don't know it, but we do get notifications whenever a topic we have posted in, get new posts. So no need to tag me now Bridget is snapped out of her mindful and tranquil trance as someone speaks to her. Whilst she was not startled, she didn't exactly notice the noise being made by the large woman still. The demon turns her head to see and notice Arya who had just spoken to her."Oh...hello there. I have heard a bit about you, but first time meeting you. Welcome onboards. Yeah, it can vary greatly with the potential - I think most on staff would say the same about their students. How has your first days here been so far? I hope they are not being TOO mean to you, hahaha", she says, picking up a bit of a playful tone. She shifts her seating, putting one leg on top of the other and even seem to glance over the large body of the P.E. teacher.
encee Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 OOC: Ah, understood. Arya swayed the tiny chair back and forth with leasurely presses of her legs as she listened to the demon. "Happy to be here. The first day was hell. With so many powers to keep track of I think my folder couldn't get fatter. It almost makes me envious that my species doesn't have the upper hand" she laughed softly, her tongue slipping out the side of her mouth in relaxation. "I wouldn't say mean. A lot of them just admired how tall I was... That, and if they did, a threat of my claws getting close seemed to make them focus. Not that i'm saying i use them. It's really hard to keep my hands behind my back sometimes. I suppose you can call it... Convenient" The deathclaw rattled her claws against the table. She too admired that demon body.
JennyDK Posted June 9, 2024 Author Posted June 9, 2024 OOC: I did it initially to make you aware of the scene and to make others aware of us being in here and doing said scene. Is your deathclaw clad or not, by the way? Bridget laughs heartily as she is certainly able to relate to that first statement, for sure."Hahahah! That's for damn sure....especially when they are young and inexperienced...and with some of them eager to either spread a little chaos or show off! But yeah....being a huge threat hopefully can keep most of them...in check and focused", she says and grins wide from ear to ear. The demon takes a sip from her coffee cup - only to give a slightly disgusted grimace, with it being lukewarm at best - but puts it down rather fast after that. She then reaches for a box of doughnuts and takes one before pushing it towards Arya, indicating she may have one (or more)."So....tell me...besides teaching, what sort of stuff do you like to do for fun? I do like to get know the staff better in other ways too...", she says and gives a sly grin.
encee Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 ooc: Due to being so big it's probably rags and loincloths, but she tries not to worry too much. The deathclaw smiled as that sentiment was agreed, at least she was doing something right as it was her first time teaching. The demon's grin was nice to see, it put her at ease, but it was a grin of a demon, so she wasn't too sure what they were thinking. Noticing the grimace of that coffee she looked around to see if she could help, tapping one of the coffee machine's buttons with the tippy tip of her claw, sliding over a mug that was hard to hold - it was one of the downsides of being this tall and this menacing, but she found ways to do it right! She watched as those donuts were offered, picking out one of them that had a filling and was sweet, but it didn't seem to be your typical jam. It was lodged onto one of her claws as she ate bite by bite. "Well, let me see. I used to enjoy fighting from where i'm from. I existed after an- explosion?" She wasn't too sure "So it was pretty lonely. But lot's of people challenged me back then." The deathclaw moved to place the finished coffee, of her best efforts next to the demon. It had a chip in the rim though. "Other than that, i really began to enjoy Travel. It's how I got here. Much better than my old, dingy apartment."
JennyDK Posted June 10, 2024 Author Posted June 10, 2024 OOC: Size doesn't have to really matter, so it is more a case of whether or not you like her to be dressed and how she would be dressed, if so. So far, the demonic teacher is enjoying her first time chatting with one of the newer staff members and she has always liked the sight of large monsters. Bridget notices how the huge monster woman tries to work the coffee machine with some difficulty - due to the size, of course - but decides to not offer help unless it looks needed or if Arya asks for it, as she doesn't want to assume anything or be meddlesome. She smiles a little as her "offering" of sugary, sweet baked goods is accepted - she has learned that sharing is something that does feel rather both to do and to be on the receiving end of. She nods along, showing her interest as the deathclaw answers her last question."Ah yes....that is interesting to do, for sure and now we have a whole other world to explore as well. How are you finding life here at the academy so far? Everyone being nice and welcoming, I hope?", she says and grabs a doughnut of her own and from the looks of it, it is not her first as a whole box lies not far away, fully empty.
encee Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Ooc: Probably pretty casually, but something sporty over top. "Yeah, it's pretty easy to get adjusted here. There's even large doors for big girls like me" The deathclaw laughed as she began to prepare some things for the next P.E session. She was thinking about something classic like dodgeball, or sports similar, but was thinking hard about the rulesets to give the stronger and weaker students a level playing field. Perhaps she could make her own ruleset? Perhaps handicapping the students who perform better?... She didn't want to constrict them though. Ultimately, it seems she decided to split it up two ways and have a competition to decide what level of play each split teams were going too, that way, they wouldn't feel too locked away from being themselves. She concentrated so much her claw was tapping.
JennyDK Posted June 11, 2024 Author Posted June 11, 2024 Bridget cannot help but chuckle, as she imagines the large monster woman try to squeeze through a much tinier door."Oh yeah and we can even easily replace anything that accidentally gets in the way of my fireballs, hahaha", she replies back before nomming on her next doughnut. She then notices Arya as she seems to drift into her own mind for a bit, but she doesn't really mind and decides to leave her be for the most part."So, have you ventured into town a lot? If not, it could be fun to explore a bit together sometime. I usually prefer having some company for stuff like that", she says, hoping she is not intruding too much into the other teacher's current mental preparations. As they sit and speak, the deathclaw would be able to see Bridget keep glancing over her body with a small smile on her face.
encee Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 "Yeah the budget seems pretty high, what with all the accident prone students here" The death claw was deep into her work until the voice of the demon broke her out of her trance. It was nice that they were interacting so well so quickly. "I havent actually. I couldn't even find clothes that fit properly. The clerk had no idea what to do with me" The deathclaw pushed up her chest with her rags, frustrated that she couldn't even get a decent top that fit her... Stature. "Explore? Sure. I can drive so it should be a rather nice trip - I can show you my truck?" Truck was a good word for her converted vehicle. It was highly customised for her size, whilst keeping to the road standards, it just took some effort to get into the front. "Roadtrip?" She offered, smirking a bit.
JennyDK Posted June 12, 2024 Author Posted June 12, 2024 "Well, yes budget is good, but I was more referering to various powers making it possible to fix a lot of stuff on our own". she says, reminding the deathclaw woman about how monsters possess a great variety of powers to choose from, not only the destructive kind. She snickers a bit at the comment about the clerk, since she can easily imagine such a scenario happening."Oh darling...you need to find the right places. After all, it is not a mystery that large monsters exist after all. I can even direct us to a proper store sometime...", she goes on, wanting to help out with her clothing situation. As if this further led the mind of the other gal, Arya then suggested going for a drive."Ohh...right now? Sure...it looks nice outside and there is nothing left for me to deal with today. I am sure we could have a fun little trip outside...", she finishes, but her stomach soon rumbles, indicating hunger (even despite copious amounts of doughtnuts). Bridget has not really gone out with a colleague like this in a while, so it should prove fun.
encee Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 "Ah! Right. Apologies, still getting used to the whole... power thing" She didn't have powers, unless you considered sheer size and strength a power in it's own right. She was more interested when the demon began to talk about better clothes for her, it would feel so good to finally have a selection of clothes! The larger woman smiled and then nodded. "I would definitely appreciate going to those stores... Though some of them might be... Above my price range" She rubbed the back of her neck and chuckled, before it moved on to the whole roadtrip thing. It was cute, hearing that stomach rumbled and she laughed "Road trip, and apparently a drive through" Her larger, clawed hand gently poked that belly in a teasing manner. She guided them to the parking lot, of which a converted truck sat. It was very raw, with apocalyptic undertones that matched it's green aethetic, though inside, it had nice cushions, a very roomy front end with extra room - even though she had to hunch in the driver's seat, and it had a high end radio. "This is mine" She opened the passenger door and walked to the driver's seat, squeezing into the seat as she barely got the seatbelt on. "all settled, my dear?" The polite deathclaw asked.
BigBadWolf Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Dante had been walking around the school for a few minutes trying to find the office, but kept getting sidetracked by admiring the local female students, nearly bumping into people while gawking a second longer than he should. Realising the time, he eventually stopped and asked a student where the office was. The student simply pointed at the plate on the wall behind him, and Dante felt a bit stupid for not seeing it before taking off. He knocked at the door before walking in. A large werewolf stood 8ft tall, with a heavy, muscular frame that looked chiselled; he wore shorts as the only thing covering his modesty; and his fur was white like snow. He walked with confidence and a dominating stride, but a welcoming smile hid a mischievous personality underneath. He cleared his throat before speaking, “Uh…hi? I’m the new student, Dante Octavio. I believe I'm supposed to meet Ms…Ironclaw?” He said it like it was really her last name. It was an interesting last name to him, but it also sounded kind of badass. 1
JennyDK Posted September 26 Author Posted September 26 @BigBadWolf The office looks and feel rather deserted by staff members at the moment and for maybe half a minute the silence seems to elude to the absence of any people. Soon after, a seemingly young woman with pretty, but very pale skin appears. Her long, blonde hair is put up into a nice round bundle. She is dressed in a nice and snappy, red business suit and her walk is soft and graceful. She emerges from one of the smaller adjacent rooms, clearly heading his way. She looks over the young werewolf with an unfazed gaze, despite being much smaller than his frame and build."Greetings Mr. Octavio. I was expecting you in my office, but since there is no other present here, it is fine. I hope you have made yourself nice at home in your dorm room? Of course, welcome to Ironclaw Academy", she answers in a very soft, yet still firm tone of voice. 1
BigBadWolf Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Dante looked around the empty place as he realised he should’ve checked before speaking, almost ready to walk out when he caught someone coming out of the corner. He turned to face her; her pale skin made him wonder if she was unwell, but her tone of voice quickly changed that. Once she stood before him, he blinked a few times at her appearance, eased into it, and let out a low growl to himself before clearing his throat. “I’ve not actually been to my dorm room just yet. I thought it would be best if I visited you first to be sure there was anything that needed to be..ummm discussed?” He scratches the back of his head as he realises this isn’t her personal office, looks up at the signboard, and realises he took a wrong turn somewhere. He grumbles to himself in annoyance. @JennyDK
JennyDK Posted September 26 Author Posted September 26 The methuselah gives him proper time to get his first impression of her and to reply before continuing, wondering what sort of new student she is dealing with here. She shows no signs of being intimidated, fearful or even concerned about being the smaller and less muscular one of the two."Ahhh, I see. There is no reason to rush it. Students here can usually take their time to get settled down and do as they please outside of classes. And no...nothing to be discussed as such. I just like to welcome every new student to the academy as well as I can. If you find it traversing this place to be confusing, you are always welcome to talk to miss Aldrin who runs security. For the purpose of sudden need of her, every room have an intercom to call upon her and she will be there soon. I am curious: What do you seek to gain from enrolling here?", she asks, also a bit curious about his reasons to attend, beyond the obligatory documents to freely join human society without restrictions.
BigBadWolf Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Dante was slightly intimidated by her presence; something about her felt strange, but he couldn’t put his finger on it. Normally, humans are a bit wary or more than eager not to be so close; then again, she ran a school of monsters. She must have some grit; it was oddly alluring to him. “That's quite good to know; I’m not the best with directions. I get distracted a bit easily……” He said, making a slight cough before continuing, “Well, growing up in my pack was always dull, to say the least, learning about the different types of monsters and their culture and habits, as well as the humans that work here; it's nice to be near humans that aren’t gonna run away.” He takes a quick look around, making sure the coast is clear and there are no signs of anyone approaching; then he suddenly smiles and leans in close. “So~ Ms Ironclaw? Since we are alone here, how about we do some extracurricular activities? But if it's a little too open, perhaps you can show me where my bedroom is located?” He said in a suggestive, husky tone, smirking; despite his forwardness, he radiated confidence.
JennyDK Posted September 26 Author Posted September 26 "There is not much wrong in that, as long as it doesn't really hinder your progress and overall direction in life. It happens even to the best of us at times, after all", she replies back to reassure him. She listens on and tries to figure out what is meant by such a statement as well as how to best respond. It is true that some humans still have a difficult time around monsters, but it is far better now than it was at first and especially around the time the portal opened up."Have you had many run off scared from seeing you?", she asks, wondering if this was a normal occurence. The vampire lady does not even raise an eyebrow or appear to be shocked by this sudden flirtation. She has had many try and pull off all sorts of "moves" and lines with her before. Still, she bears no ill will to anyone who does it, as long as they are not aggressive or pushy or manipulative."I am happy to sign you up for extra classes mr. Octavio. If you really desire to do extra work, then the pathways outside could very much use a good raking", she says, not appearing any different than she have so far, stoic and unfazed.
BigBadWolf Posted September 26 Posted September 26 “No, no, just actual directions….only sometimes.” He said hesitantly, trying to hide his lack of directional ability, which is why he was never able to be part of the trackers in his pack, since he had a habit of getting lost more often than not. He scratches the back of his head about people running from him “Mmmm, guess I’m a little intimidating? Which is fair; I don’t take it to heart. I can be much at times.” He wasn’t sure whether she misunderstood him or he was being vague about what he meant; she could briefly see his confused expression. “Ummm…ahem, maybe I was being vague; perhaps you give me private lessons~ My bedroom seems like the best place, or perhaps your bedroom would be more accommodating?” He tries to sound husky, but he lacks confidence this time since her statement put him off; the attempt feels a little too forceful and doesn’t seem as natural as his first. He even tries to furrow his eyebrows to help her understand his intentions, though he doesn't realise she already does.
JennyDK Posted September 27 Author Posted September 27 "Fair enough. Still, our chief of security can be of aid for that, if you are fully on your own and no one else can guide you in the right direction", Elizabeth goes on, feeling a tinge of pity about a werewolf with that sort of issue."Almost all monsters can be intimidating in one way or another, be it our appearances, our powers, personalities or any combination of those. That is part of why I made this place: to help us better fit into society and for them to be able to accept us", she says, this time with a more cheerful and prideful tone of voice and mayyyyybe even a slight smile, but even there was one, it would be shortlived on her lips. The Headmaster remains fully stoic as this still is something she runs into at least a few times a week, so she is used to brushing off any suitors she has no interest in, but hopefully without being condescending or mean."If you require any sort private tuition, you will have to ask the specific teachers you wish to do those with. I am not really part of the teaching staff Mr. Octavio", she replies and the way she uses his last name in that tone and twice in a row, if he happens to catch on, might indicate a more standoff-ish attitude towards this "invitation".
BigBadWolf Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Dante was happy with her reason for building the Academy in the first place; he already felt at home here, and that made sense with what she hoped to accomplish with the school. Dante grumbles to himself as he finally gets the hint; her tone of voice and the way she used his last name make him lean back, slightly pouty, but he doesn’t retort. Figuring that trying to push it for a third time would more than likely get on her bad side, considering how considerate she is about the suggestive invitation. Instead of brushing it off, he quickly changes the subject. “Ahem…..so, aside from schoolwork and such, does the school have any outdoor events? Or activities, like sports stuff or competitions..” He said, pulling back from the sultry tone he'd used earlier to lure her in, and acting more relaxed and curious instead.
JennyDK Posted September 27 Author Posted September 27 Elizabeth senses that the point she tried to make and the boundaries she had, had been seen and acknowledged and she has no interest or reason for trying to pursue that subject further than this. She is more than happy to still engage in regular conversation, so the change of topic does help that to happen."There is the athletics field and arena area, the latter used for any duels students may want to have. Those places are the ones dedicated to the more physical aspects. Did you have any sports or other stuff you wanted to engage in?", she replies back.
BigBadWolf Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Dante's ears perked up at the prospect of duelling. “Duelling?” He said eagerly, with some enthusiasm in his tone. His tail wagged gently as he continued, “That does seem right up my alley. I will have to check that out sometime; I do like putting on a good show.” He said with confidence and was clearly about to start flexing in front of her before stopping himself, keeping his arms down and clearing his throat. “Glad I came here first; best I’d check that place out once I settle into my dorm room.”
JennyDK Posted October 1 Author Posted October 1 Monsters often have a natural instinct to tussle around, either for fun, for honour or other reasons, so it is good to have a place where they can let loose with good and clear conscience. She is glad to hear such a prospect entices the young werewolf and the arena has been pretty silent lately."It can be a lot of fun to participate or watch for sure. Just remember that no one is to get seriously hurt, though I hope that part is something that is understood by all naturally", Elizabeth answers back with a slightly raised lip, revealing part of an exposed fang."Feel free to explore all you want. You can always look for miss Aldrin if you need help with anything. I think we have it all covered now, but you are still welcome to knock on my door if you need me", she says, preparing to end their conversation.
