Lack of love, lack of camera

Sometime, we watch anime and see one character who just appear on one or two episode only, and think the anime would go great if they bring them for the whole season. Not only they being memorable, but also remarkable in characteristic and in rare chance, notable aesthetic no matter who they are or what side they take.

Have you seen such character, who most of the time unnamed, appear in front of the screen and make you think "If only that character were focused more, this anime will have some real character! Too bad he/she/it only appear for episode two of season 1!". I sure do sometime. Tell us your experience in watching anime and judging the character who might have biggest impact on the series if they were carried along instead just appear and being pretty for one episode only. Or by miracle, would save the anime you love if only they weren't just an unnamed guy on season 3.

Not only character, sometime a slight shift on plot can be a great gamble worth taking. Remember that plot on episode 7 season 2 who still deemed as intense episode ever even though the series already reach season 8? We had that kind of experience too! Tell me, have you ever watch your longtime favorite anime and still think the anime plot should delve deep like what they did on episode # (mystery anime mostly) because it would break the mainstream? TL;DR, tell us a character/episode (not anime as a whole) that you think lacking the focus who actually has bigger potential to make the anime become great for long run.
