KAtyusha hums as she walks the marketplace

A slave auction has been setup in the market. Among the offerings are three young women. Soldiers with rifles sit on barrels and boxes, watching the people walk by.  The women are made available for inspection on request.  

"Liana!" a soldier pulls one of the girls by a rope tied to her hands. She stumbles to the front of the stage, standing still, waiting to be inspected by prospective buyers.

Katyusha raises an eyebrow as she hears the commotion

The slave girl stands at the front of the stage while a man inspects her body. Liana's simple peasant dress is in tatters and it does little to give the girl any modesty. She stood stiffly as the man went through his inspection - he checks her teeth, feels her boobs and ass, measures her hips. He haggles with the seller for a bit then shakes his head in the negative and walks away.

The slave seller is a fat man wearing robes and adorned with jewelry. His body guards  keep a lazy watch  as a slave uses a large fan to keep him cool. As the sun rises higher in the sky, the square becomes a furnace. The smells of unwashed humans, livestock, and more start to permeate the market.

Katyusha walks up to the stage blinking the bulgarian woman looking around

Katyusha sees a dark skinned woman, barely of age, standing in little but rags. Her wrists are bound in front of her with a rope being held by a soldier. 

The merchant calls out to you. "You there, are you interested? She's a fine piece of flesh she is! Go on, see for yourself. "

The merchant yells at the slave, "Liana! Stand straight you!"

Katyusha blinks beforenlookint back wt the girl

The girl, Liana, stands at the front of the stage. She is bruised, but some effort was made to wipe the dirt off her to make her look presentable. She glances at the hardened mercenary then looks forward. The thought of being purchased brought both fear and hope, neither of which she could afford to have. She tried to blank her mind and readied herself to be inspected.

"I'll take her" she says

The merchant and the mercenary haggle over the price as Liana is prepared. As the transaction is completed, a soldier brings Liana to Katyusha.

Liana's hands are tied in front of her and the lead is handed to Katyusha. 

"Very good!" exclaimed the merchant. "Many blessings to you Katyusha, it's been a pleasure doing business with you."

Katyusha is now the owner of Liana.

Katyusha blinks as she walks back to the base"

Liana follows her new owner back to the base. A new life awaits for her and a sliver of hope begins to form in the darkest, most hidden part of her mind.
