This is the place to ask any questions you have, make discussions or discuss anything you wish.  I have posted a basic idea of what I had in mind for the setting but I am open to suggestions and may add/change things based on what people think.

Okay, there are still some details to work out, have to figure out the exact character profile sheet, still have to look for images first up top as well.  Some details other members can help figure out, like potentially the exact nature of the creatures tormenting the world.  But I figured it was good to elaborate on my inspirations and thoughts for the atmosphere of the club.

It has been rolling around in my head around a month now.  When I thought of it, thought it might have been fitting to start it around Halloween, but did not have the chance to make it fast enough.  I was inspired by some horror-ish things I was watching at the time, particularly fictional ‘emergency alert’ videos on YouTube.  Also thought it might be fun to go a darker route than I usually do.  A chance to see characters get bad endings or turn evil.

Most characters here are not likely to have happy lives.  Though there are chances for happy moments and particular characters can get close to each other, but they won’t have a lot of time relax.  Especially if they are still alive.  In the afterlife there might be a few more relatively comfortable places, but they may be isolated and have relatively few people.

To a degree I am mixing ideas from other clubs, my own and one or two that are not.  But with twists to make them both mine and distinct to this club, at least for the larger world.

The little side worlds people can play, I think are just ways to explore other stuff, still on the darker side, but the players involved have freedom on the details.  Like I said in the description, someone could explore a ‘bad end’ for character(s) from other RPs, but they could also do something new.  Those settings could be about anything, modern/fantasy/scif, with or without things like magic/advanced technology/non-humans.  Could be a world just like ours, or very different.

Have not forgotten this place.  Will find something to put at the top to decorate the place up eventually.

No one joined yet other than the few of you I invited so far, may change as activity picks up.  Some details about the setting probably still have to be figured out, but I have been thinking about something character-wise to start with.

On my side I have been thinking about using altered versions of a characters I had used a little in a another club.  'The Hanari sisters', technically two girls and one futa. A trio trying just to survive in a world where that is becoming increasingly hard.  Will have to adjust them some, age them up a bit.  The original version of the younger two were two young with the original versions.  That being the case, will probably also have to look for new pictures for them.  In their attempts to survive, they might run into and/or be with characters of others.

Over the weekend hope to add some more here, both details on the setting and initial profile for the sisters I mentioned.  What I post will be open to feedback, and may make adjustments/decisions based on others ideas.

Did not have much time for this, so this post will focus on one sub-idea I had.  ‘The Forgotten’.  While most who die in the world, at least in the middle of this crisis, go to a Hellish works for the afterlife, there is an alternative.  No paradise or anything like that, but an area of the world isolated from the rest, spared from much of the suffering.

It is an elaborate building, appearing as a large fortress from the outside.  But once inside one does not leave, but the place also seems to shift, halls going different ways from one day or another, rooms disappearing or (re)appearing at seemingly random.  But who finds themselves in such a place?  The purehearted, who have no where better to be sent?  Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Perhaps it was always like this, or perhaps the afterlife was twisted along with the living world.  But if one dies while others grieve or morn, they get thrown to the demons, to face life under their torment.  While those who are forgotten, who had no one to remember them, find themselves in this quiet place.  Watched by the ‘keepers’.

Who are the keepers?  Even they perhaps do not know, or forgot.  They are not demons, but always been part of the world.  Something other than human, maybe they were once angel like, or at least some were, maybe they were something else.  But they are there first the forgotten souls, try to help them adjust to their new home.

(This is my initial thought at least, open to make additions/adjustments).

I didn't expect, as soon as I'd popped back in to read the old writing, that I'd also find something that sounded interesting to join. An afterlife story of sorts wasn't on my bingo but I'm glad I managed to see it, even if it looks like it's been a long time. ^^ At the least, I could give Rufus a new life through a struggle here, or bring up characters I might have played on another forum here. Although I don't want to just 'dump' them here, I need some time to figure out a plan. Might do that while I browse the forum and see what else catches my eyes.

Alrighty, since I'm unsure if TS will proceed from here without asking the associated persons involved (And believe me, I would understand if not given my lengthy absence and how few were still involved, so no hard feelings from me!), current idea for Rufus is that he will be the same from TS, but does during a what-if situation later when he overloads the special system on his Wolfhound mech to overcome a dangerous enemy. Though he achieves victory, he dies in the process, hence his appearance here in this game. 

He would likely arrive with erased or else heavily damaged memories, unable to recall many important details of his previous life, and leaves him a bit of an agitated wanderer as he struggles to survive his newfound afterlife. Whether he winds up in the straight hell of the story or the other, purgatory like place, I haven't decided on yet, but I imagine he'll go from one to the other over the course of his ventures while he formulates a plan of what to do next and where to go.

We are the only two following this thread right now, but at least Warning and Elie will see the notification of my reply and I let Chiyako know you joined and posted.

Since everyone in the club except Elie knows what you mean by Rufus, I will say I would be okay with continuing that too.

But yeah, would be okay with that idea for him here too.  Still have to think of afterlife characters, as well as the few I mentioned earlier.  Characters very loosely based on characters Chiyako would remember from another club, but adjusted enough for the setting to be more or less new characters.

That sounds fun to me! Also, no rush on getting things together, I really don't expect things to jump into activity just because someone new posted in here, and there's always the off chance it won't take off. But I'm gonna still get my things together on the off chance it does take off, and if so, figure out a long term plan to make the world work in my favor than just 'Exist and survive'. xD

What are these other characters of yours like? Just so I know what to expect going in. ^^

The three of them are more busy than they have been at times, and don’t think any of them have character ideas yet either.  But hopefully some new activity will help inspire things.  The sisters I mentioned were fairly basic characters, on the no longer active HentaiApartments club.  Not played very long, not much more than I said above.  They would be older versions, two of them were younger, before the rule change.  Sisters but technically two girls and futa.  They would be on the living side, trying desperately to survive the world in whatever disaster it might be going through.  See what they do to avoid death/corruption by the creatures (if they can) and what help they get and if they can avoid the ‘witch’ route.

Not a problem! It's been like 5 months since I popped in, and going back to school has taken a nice chunk of my focus. Really isn't easy at all, I feel like I'm sorely lacking now compared to myself a decade ago... As long as Warning, Chiyako, and Elie are getting along in life as best as they can, that's fine by me!

Ah, so they're still gonna be alive and struggling in their own way, so little to bo chanve of meeting them on the other side unless something happens. What's the 'Witch' route though? Something else from their past?

Oh, another few things I should ask before I get too far ahead of myself: Are all characters expected to be normal, or are there expected to be any number of abnormalities about them (potential magic, technology, mutations, ect.)? Like, anything to keep characters anything but entirely normal before or after death? Is the world full of purely humans or is there more than that?

The living world was something I was still thinking about.  Just had the vague ideas above, but still considering the details.  While it is open to change, my initial thought was just humans and whatever sort of creature (details still being considered) was ripping apart the world.  I briefly mentioned the witch option in the description.  Essentially making deals with demons out of desperation to survive.  Under my initial thought at least, that was the extent of magic.
 

The afterlife has a bigger variety, with demons and whatever the Keepers might be.  Not impossible it could an afterlife for multiple worlds to, to potentially get Rufus over there.

My problem is that I have no idea what characters I could bring here because I still can't quite put an image to what kind of world this is. How different it is from other worlds.

That's pretty understandable, given of the two different worlds, one seems a bit more limited in potential, while the afterlife seems to have the greatest potential variety. Without a clear vision of what kind of world we'd be throwing our characters into, I can understand the sentiment of not being able to formulate an idea of what to go with. 

Right now, Satai saying the afterlife has a bigger variety of creatures and entities gives me the idea to assume environments/worlds could be just as varied. Like, beyond 'Fire and brimstone and pits of lava' depictions of hell and all.

That still doesn't tell me much. Because I can be VERY varied with characters. So do we have angels, aliens, demons (But not typical ones), monsters, ponies...? I have no idea...

Yep, I'm fully aware of your variability. : p

My first assumption would be 'All of the Above' tbh .. maybe minus Angels unless they're of the Fallen Variety. My gut says monsters and other such otherworldly unpleasantness may take on a great many forms, maybe even inspired by things others might be concerned or fearful of (which reminds me of a plot point from one of the later expansions of FFXIV).

But this is also me just being very presumptuous and running with vague notions. Might be best to wait to see if Satai wants to be a bit more specific/narrow about what's allowed for the sake of making it easier for us to plan or not. Me, I'm already in a good spot to ruminate, so I'm not as worried, but I'm all for trying to help you zero in to be more decisive about ideas.
