A game with spectate mode

I know its ridiculous since game are made to be played not looked at. But lately I've been looking for such a game. Sure there's AFK arena and other stuff but i feel such game and its cronies lack the punch i want. The thing is, i looking for a game where there's unpopular feature called spectate mode. Yeah, seeing CPU vs CPU on gladiator ring been such hobby of mine. If you happen to see my status on Discord playing Fate/Unlimited Code on PPSSPP or C&C Red Alert 3, i'm not actually playing it, i spectate it. Don't bother suggesting me "Lets play" video on youtube because i ask for a game with spectate feature, not gaming channel.

So if you happen to bump any game with spectate feature...would you mind to share?

Civ? I'm pretty sure in Civ 6 at least, you can set up a game and just make the AI fight each other. Or similar games like Age of Empires, I believe you could do that as well. Fighting games, too usually. DoA5/6 can. Probably some others I can't think of right now.

Now that i think about it, perhaps what i'm looking for is game with spectate mode in RTS genre. If only Company of Heroes has that! But which Age of Empires who got spectate mode?

I feel like league of leagends and other kind of mobas are the best ones to spectate, due to how complex they are, but it may seem weird to someone who doesn't know what is going on...

I don't mind any genre really. As long as it has spectate mode of CPU vs CPU, anything goes.

I'd say check out Ludus on steam.

It's a game where you train gladiators and put them to fight in the arena, the fight itself is spectator style, but outside of the arena you're in first person.

There's a few games I can think of that have a Spectate Mode in them:

* Armagetron Advanced
* All of the Super Smash Bros. games.
* I think some of the Mario Party games allow for CPU matches only?
* Sumotori Dreams
* Most sports games (FIFA, Madden, WWE, etc.)

...I actually can't think of many more. ^^; But at least there's a bit of variety there in the different genres of games that have a way that you can spectate the game.

Most of the newer Paradox games have a a spectator mod if you are looking for something like Civ. Hearts of Iron IV and Stellaris have it right out of the box. Europa Universalis IV also supports spectator mode through a console command. I'm not sure about Crusader Kings 2 or Imperator: Rome.

There is also the always popular "Totally Accurate Battle Simulator", where you create two armies and watch them duke it out. It's more comedic than realistic, but it might suit your fancy.
