Gardsorm Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 At this point, he'll take someone torching his shirt for a light just to explore easier. Come to think of it, he should probably consider getting some flint or something to do just that in the future, save on buying actual torches. >.> Improvise. Adapt. Overcome. 1
JennyDK Posted October 2, 2021 Author Posted October 2, 2021 You are free to have him have something basic to provide light. I am not really overly anal about what gear you may or may not have. 1
Gardsorm Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 That's great to hear! Happier to hear it now after he fell into the water. xD I shall have him blame himself for not remembering this little tidbit. (Seriously though, totally smiling at the wipeout) 1
JennyDK Posted October 2, 2021 Author Posted October 2, 2021 You do what you feel is most fun for you ^^ At least now you are aware that you don't have to limit yourself beyond what seems normal and reasonable.
Gardsorm Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 I mean, I fully expect to slip up a few more times, but I also don't want to make everything feel trivialized, since in the end it's still your plot. I'd like to give it due respect instead of MacGyver'ing my way out of every situation. =p That aside, I will probably use this chance to do something, thank you. 1
JennyDK Posted October 2, 2021 Author Posted October 2, 2021 At least it wasn't something crucial or at a crucial point, so better to get those out of the way in ways that has no significance or major impact. This doesn't really affect anything, so it is fine of course. I honestly just have an overall idea and the rest is pure improvisation. The plot builds as we go along rather than being a written beforehand. Do what? And you're welcome ^^ 1
Gardsorm Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 After my next post, probably have him remember something he learned from one of his times studying in the Academy District, maybe a little glowy light thing... I'm not sure. xD 1
JennyDK Posted October 2, 2021 Author Posted October 2, 2021 I would say that matches or even lighters can be a thing. If not that, I may have an idea...
Gardsorm Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 I may go with glowy light, but I'd be happy to hear your ideas :3 1
JennyDK Posted October 2, 2021 Author Posted October 2, 2021 Perhaps stumbling into a dropped lantern or torch Unexpected holes leading to sunlight Odd and mysterious magical light 1
Gardsorm Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 That last one sounds like a bad idea waiting to happen. Let's do it! 1 1
Gardsorm Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Just woke up and saw the post, so I just had to reply. xD Not quite awake yet though... Gonna try to squeeze in a bit more rest. 1 1
JennyDK Posted October 3, 2021 Author Posted October 3, 2021 Haha, thanks for the post, but do focus on your need for sleep first 1
Gardsorm Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Rest assured I am fully awake now! Or at least as awake as I can be for the time being. xD 1
JennyDK Posted October 3, 2021 Author Posted October 3, 2021 Lovely I have been trying to keep up with various RPs, both here and others. 1
Gardsorm Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Not a problem at all! I've become aware you are an extremely busy writer. xD So please, don't feel like you have to respond to my replies immediately, take your time! 1
JennyDK Posted October 3, 2021 Author Posted October 3, 2021 Thank you very much ^^ Still, I try to not make my partners wait too long. 1
Gardsorm Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 I've been made to wait weeks, sometimes even a month and beyond for posts outside of this site. You can take your time with posts you owe to me, trust me. ^^ 1
Gardsorm Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Hmmm... poor Abel is getting too caught up in the moment. That door is gonna be a problem though... *-Brushes chin.-* 1
Gardsorm Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Hey, no one puns his name but me! Truth be told, I have no idea! He could be very much out of his element right now, but right now he wants to ice the door hinges and try to rush it open. On the other hand, falling back and reporting about the presence down there might be the smarter choice, but there's also the risk of losing whoever they are. =P Hence his internal dilemma. 1
JennyDK Posted October 3, 2021 Author Posted October 3, 2021 It was my intention to make it as such - either try and play it safe or to potentially walk into a losing situation. 1
Gardsorm Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Well, heroes didn't make their marks in history by making brainless plays (though some have and probably got away with it), so maybe it's time to play it smart for him. 1 1
JennyDK Posted October 3, 2021 Author Posted October 3, 2021 I will leave that entirely up to you Going in without a plan is usually pretty dangerous, especially with no clue what to expect. 1
Gardsorm Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 If this were a tabletop, I'm pretty sure Abel would have been dead after that first fall. Okay now that I have a free moment, let's get that reply... 1
