It was a dark a stormy night, the clouds hung low and threatened to worsen as darkness loomed ever so deeper... Nah, it wasn't that at all, not every story with Vampires had to involve the whole stupid ass beginning of some horror story. I mean shit,  look at Misery, it started off on a snowy morning. For me it was about to hit morning,  not sure what time it was, all I knew was I had a shit ton of fast food in the back with whatever else. About three hundred dollars worth of that shit, McDonald's,  Wendy's,  Sonic, whatever else I came across that I can save for later. What? Vampire hunter's gotta eat too, and right now I had seventy dollars worth of Wendy's calling my name.

I had drove my blue Dodge truck with a small U-Haul attaches to it down the paved road, I'd have a map but fortunately and unfortunately I knew my way around Pine Forest. It wasn't my first rodeo with Blackthorne,  and after my employers death I was invited back to it. Whoopee,  I feel so fuckin' ecstatic to be here, surrounded by a buncha dickheads I left with my employer long ago. The nineties I think was the last time I had visited this place. That's sarcasm by the way, I dreaded being here but hey, if I got a roof over my head, food to eat and a place to sleep why am I complaining?

I parked the truck in front of the massive castle, whether I should park here or not they could suck my dick for all I cared. Sighing, I stepped out of the vehicle and closed the door, locking it and just looked around. Not a whole lotta security these days, hell there any guards in front of the doors like they used to be. I walked up to the large doors of Castle Blackthorne and opened one up, letting it swing open slowly before stepping in. Just in case any of these freaks tried rushing me I had a small tactical shotgun filled with silver slugs, besides, my appearance should be enough to make people think twice before stepping on my toes. Afterall,  I was Ito's Thrall when I lived here and knocked plenty of fangs in.

Speaking of fangs, there weren't a lot of people present, Vampires and Humans alike. This place used to be packed with 'em. Huh, it really was an interesting sight. I cleared my throat and shouted, "Hello? Customer Service around here?"

It was about 1pm when Blaze Blackthorne and Draven Silverclaw arrived at the Blackthorne castle. The two men had been traveling for about two weeks after learning about the recent losses to the Pine Heath area and Blaze was hoping his family was ok. It was a little too quiet but that was fine as the two stepped into the entry hall and Blaze yawned "Well we finally made it, how long til you take off?" Draven stretched before looking around "That'll depend on how long before this Alicia lady kicks me out. You know I'm here for you and your family only nothing else." Blaze nodded and smiled "Still can't believe we're friends but this place has the best guard if they give you a proper chance. Now come on, we better find someone to tell us where my room will be."

Blaze was taking his time looking around the entry hall as everything as he got familiar with his brothers home and made notes mentally on each person he saw. Maids, vampires, thralls, butlers, cooks...the list went on. Meanwhile Draven was examining the many bookshelves that were in the room and was impressed by the variety of genres. He was particularly interested in the various romance novels that took up a whole two shelves "wow, they've got good books here. Hopefully this doesn't blow up in your face Blaze." Blaze stopped and looked at his friend "Please don't jinx me Draven, I'd rather avoid having this make me look like a complete idiot." Blaze found a book that he liked as well and started reading.

Sebastián stands in the shadows, unmoving, the only sound the feint remnants of the beating of dead heart, animated by the foul magics coursing through his body - a silence that can only be possessed by the dead. He has never cared for Blaze, but he uses his iron discipline and willpower to bite his tongue. Blaze is family, which gives him protection from Sebastián's disapproval, at least until he finally fucks up bad enough that Sebastián has to deal with Blaze in his official capacity of detective. Also here, is the thing that Sebastián disapproves of least about Blaze - the damnable wolf he keeps as a pet. Of course the ancient Inquisitor knows the beast's true nature. It doesn't take centuries of investigative experience to smell the foul odor of wet fur that hangs around it's kind.

Making himself known, the old Inquisitor steps into the light. He speaks "Good Evening, Master Blackthorne. I have been sent to remind you to kindly keep your toy on a leash inside Blackthorne Castle. We don't need any puppies pissing on the upholstery."

Blaze took a slow deep breath closing his book "He's not a stray and I'd appreciate it if you didn't talk about my best friend like he's some mutt." Blaze looked at Sebastián and said the one thing most people didn't know about Draven "I actually owe Draven my life so please bite your tongue on any cruel remarks you have towards him as he will be a permanent part of my life until he has decided my debt is paid." Blaze hated how Draven was always treated simply because of what he was yet he loved how Draven never gave in which seemed to make those around him mad.

Draven closed his book closing his eyes as he calmly spoke "I am staying long enough to learn who is in charge then I will be leaving. " he opened his eyes and looked at the person insulting him "As for pissing on the upholstery that only happens to the people who severely piss me off like vampires who insult me simply because I'm a wolf." He looked at Blaze as his tone instantly changed "Should you be telling him about your debt to me? I mean are you sure it's ok?"

Blaze shrugged "People here are gonna find out about it eventually so no point hiding it. Besides our friendship could be of use to make contact between Blackthorne Castle and Midnight Pack easier"

Sebastián did not survive five centuries by being foolish. Werewolves could be useful tools, in his experience, but if you let them too close they will bite the hand that feeds them. And Draven's threats didn't phase him. Sebastián might not be the strongest combatant but he had his ways, and he had fought werewolves in the streets of Tenochtitlan beside Cortés and his Conquistadors. They were far tougher opponents then this puppy Blaze insists on keeping as a pet. But, maybe this problem would solve itself. Just in case, though, he made a mental note to look into this debt - and keep his eye open for an opportunity to get a sample of Draven's blood, which could be potent tool for his occult studies. For now, he ignores the wolf, refusing to even acknowledge his speaking.

"Regardless of your relationship, Master Blackthorne, they are here a courtesy to you and you are ultimately responsible for it's actions. Any misdeeds will fall on your shoulders. And should your new pet pose a threat to the castle or it's residents, rest assure we are more then capable of neutering it. Is that understood?"

Blaze actually snapped as a few things caught fire "HE IS NOT A PET!! AND YOU WILL STOP TALKING ABOUT HIM LIKE THAT!!!!" Draven quickly held his friend back "Blaze calm down before you burn your brothers home, you know your kind treats mine like shit" Blaze struggled to get free "I don't care what they think i just don't want to hear it leave their mouths!! I'm so sick of it! Always talking about you like you're a plague or something to the point of pissing me off! If anything gets wrecked it'll be from me burning anything or anyone to dust that crosses the line and he's seriously getting to that point! Not from my friend." Blaze had only gotten Tiberius to acknowledge the honest friendship between Blaze and Draven once before he died and that was a long time ago. Since then Blaze had been avoiding his own kind because he never wanted to hear the talk that Sebastián was currently saying as if Draven was nothing more than a wild mutt which was the farthest from the truth.

Sebastián does not react, either to the fire, or the thick black smoke that is beginning to settle in the room. He would not be baited by a hot young blood. Human servants scramble in from other parts of the house, silver pitchers and other found containers filled with water. They work to extinguishing the flames. Sebastián speaks, his voice shifting slightly, showing irritation behind his famously cool facade "I may not be family, but I am tasked with protecting the Clan and it's secrets. Perhaps I should summon a servant to escort you to your quarters, Master Blackthorne, before you force me to show you what happens to those who threaten either ..."

Molly, is waiting in the hall, and has been ever since the conversation became .... animated. She has a soft spot for Blaze. After all, he is a fellow outcast, and besides they were turned around the same time which gave them things in common to talk about, outside of family drama. That affection, however, is not altruism, and she is just as much a heartless manipulator as any double blooded Blackthorne. She is just as drawn by talk of mysterious debt, and how she can use that in her own schemes. That is if she doesn't find a way to pit the two friends against each other for her own amusement. With her usual flair, she enters the room, a bright smile across her face, along with the fading scent of alcohol.

"That won't be necessary, Padre" She interrupts. "I can show 'Master Blackthorne' to his room", Molly offers taking no pains to hide her mocking tone.

Sebastián is not sure which of the two troublesome young vampires he despises more, but consoles him self with the certainty that they will both end their unlives staked in the sun. To keep the peace he acquiesces "Be my guest, Miss Connelly."

Molly turns to Devan and asks, in her thick Irish brogue "And who is this tall glass of water?"

Blaze pulled free from Draven and looked at her "I'm not going to my room until I've met with my brother and niece to find who's taking over for Alicia." Blaze was 1,225 years old and these two were 575 and 125 years old treating him like he was a baby or something.  He glare at them "we're you both seriously never taught to respect your elders? Treating me like I'm a new blood is seriously wrong when I'm older then you both put together" He turned to Draven "go get your spot taken care of we'll meet up later to talk."

Draven kept his mouth shut despite how his friend was being treated simply because of being friends with a wolf. It upset him that Blaze was treated wrong because of his personality as he ignored the woman "Alright Blaze, if you're sure. Please let your brothers and niece know I'll relay messages for them to the pack." He then turned and left not saying a word to the woman or other male vampires.

Sebastián would not take this from anyone, vampire or mortal, who was not a member of the family, regardless of age. Blaze may be over twice his age, but he is still acting as a petulant child, mad that the adults will not have him have his dangerous toy in the house. Even if his temper tantrum involved magically summoned fire. There is an order which must maintained, protocols protected, and that is Sebastián's job. Sebastián, returning to his unnerving calm, tamping down the rage, this is family and propriety must be obeyed, "Master Blackthorne, I am carrying out the tasks appointed to me by our elders. I have personally greeted you, and granted you leniency as a matter of respect. Similarly, I defer to your judgement for whom you choose to associate with outside of our manse - but it's defense is the domain bestowed on me, no matter who may wish otherwise. Please show your elders the same respect, by extending the basic courtesies due the office they have granted as is their right."

"The Man In Black Feathers Enters His Domain"

As the group continued their bickering, a crow flies by and took its perch atop the gate of the entry hall. It squakes rather loudly enough to draw attention, then another zips past the group low to the ground and took its place next to the first.  In the distance just above the trees a large flock of black avians were approaching at an odd leisure, and upon approach they swooped down in front of the bridge over the large lake, forming into an assuming cyclone. In the densest center a figure rose, and the black birds disembarked in all directions into the thick Pine Forest. In the moonlight that was lowering, readying for dawn, was a jacketed individual of long and unkempt while and silver in a western styled outfit. Smoke blew from the opposite end of their mouth whereas a cigar stuck out trapped by the other end, the two crows that caused such a ruckus took off on a glide, eventually reaching the man and landing on either shoulder.

"The Crow Father Has Landed"

In one hand with a slight limp to his gate, the man had an old oak cane that supported his weak side. The man made his approach, and the closer he got one could tell he was an older fellow, but the closer his approach the air seemed to almost grow thin and as cold as winter. The Crow Father was considered a fabled man amongst the world Covens, while very real, many considered him a mythical figure. Of course, he was one of the people who helped bring stability to the Vampiric "underground" world, some say he could wield both the powers of night and day, but what many know is so much less than the truth. No one knew his upbringing or his mission throughout time, but what is known is that he holds the name of Blackthorne.

The famous Blackthorne Family were considered amongst the most powerful of all the Covens, possessing more than half of Europe in an iron grip whilst being present in some parts of Asia such as Mongolia and Taiwan for example.  In the Americas they were the strongest of the Covens, however when Tiberius Blackthorne died and his daughter, Alicia, took the seat of the house things unraveled and sources and resources became disrupted. However with Alicia gone this could be an opportune chance to being glory back to Tiberius' Coven. But that will take some time and special attention.  Tonight will decide the new heir of the Blackthorne Seat, and the Crow Father will be there to help establish this cause. Afterall, he was the wisest and most respected in the vampire world, and possibly the strongest.

When he finally reached the group, the Crow Father stopped just a few yards short as a trio of ravens: one white, one black, and one blue, flew next to him, they merged together into an amalgamation of feathers until a man in a pure white suit formed from them. His hair was white but was much younger in comparison to the Crow Father, of course who could forget the White Fang, Ito Toshiro? The younger vampire composed himself and took in a breath of crisp Pine air, he seemed relaxed but a tad tired too, overall he was in an almost swell mood. He nodded to the old man, giving a silent greeting.

"He's late." The Crow Father said lowly to Toshiro who could only smile in return.

"They're,  I should say. They tend to be fashionably late?" Toshiro responds.

"No... They're always late. Every time there is a gathering there has to be some excuse."

The old world of the European covens were much more ‘intense’ than what they were greeted with. Sure there were some thralls and vampires that met them at the front but it was a sorry sight. One would usually be received in droves of beauty thrall or vampire alike offering their loyalty and lives to the leaders. However this was not the case for this dilapidated castle. Despite the prestige of the name Blackthorne, after Tiberius’ passing, things had fallen to such a state. What had Alicia been doing all this time? Should have been a time to volley for favor and show she was deserving of the position and yet it was too much and she left of her own volition. The Blackthorne legacy lay heavy on the shoulders of the head of the clan.

Arriving not but a few minutes after The White Wolf and the Crow Father; Idris’ shoes could be heard against the gravel as he came closer to the castle. Along beside him, his most favored niece, The Blue Jewel accompanied him down the short walk to the bridge. Idris stood tall and would narrow his gaze as he disliked how the elderly man was indeed one of the youngest of the Blackthorne brothers. A deep baritone came from the slender lips of the pale monster. “You look well you old fuck. Age suits your bitter nature. You only waited a few moments.” A snicker coming from him only to keep his hands in his silken trousers. Idris was wearing a suit for once it was sleek and black with a crimson red dress shirt underneath and a black silk and striped tie to ass some dimension to the flare was of color. All pulled together with silver and ruby cufflinks that he adjusted against his toned arm that strained against the fabric. Despite his attempts to appear to his nieces preferences upon request it was clear he would have preferred his military garb.

“Uncle that is not polite to speak to family like that.” The girl would say as her voice was perfectly toned to please the men’s ears. A nightingale between a murder of crows. The female would bow to show respect to her Uncle as well as the man who swore his undying loyalty: Ito Toshiro. “So nice to see you again~” She stood out against those wearing strictly black clothing as she was wearing much softer looking attire. A high laced collar of lace and elegant satin, quilted along the arms making a bell sleeve with more frills and black gloves adorned with large blue rings. Blue was her color and despite the black leather corset she was still seen as delicate. Soft flowing chocolate hair, big blue eyes, all tools used to be a proper killing machine that Uncle Idris trained her to be. “Shall we go inside? It’s rather brisk out here.” She tried to point the attention to the Foyer as many were waiting for them.

Idris would give her a look that made her silent although pout as she would twirl at a strand of her silky hair. They took steps forward to get on with the introductions. Idris’ gaze scoured around the castle and would frown seeing that it was not up to how he would have wanted it. He remembered This place gilded in gold and kept in a much more pristine state. It wasn’t anyone’s fault but Tiberius’ for not setting up a proper heir. Still this was what this meeting of the family was for. “Is that brat Blaze here.” He asked using it in a strangely affectionate term for him as he pushed forward to enter the castle.

Treighton and Toshiro both turned as the sound of footsteps, followed by a rather vulgar tone directed at the eldest of the duo. It had been several minutes but finally they had arrived to the base of the steps of Castle Blackthorne only to be stopped by the words of one Idris Blackthorne.  The slightly older, younger looking vampire addresses the Crow Father in such a manner. Treighton turned his head until he fully faced his brother, he could easily sense the disgust and disdain which drew an excellent through the nostrils followed by the smoke. There were a variety of responses that could be given that would result in two brothers fighting, however before Treighton could react he heard the soft words of Antoinette, his niece.

The Crow Father was resented by majority of the family because he refused to have children of his own, he refused conquest and desire for bloodshed. Because he chose a more "Human" path rather than relying on his vampiric side, yet they also knew what he was capable of and that he was the one who had made the world fear the respect the Blackthorne name. Treightons superior expression toward Idris turned soft when he gazed upon his niece, he gave a respectful bow in return. At least she didn't mind him, even if it could be an act, Treighton favored Antoinette because she at least treated him nicely. Toshiro also returned the bow calm as ever, even though he wasn't blood related to the family at all he was indefinitely the consul and advisor between the Blackthorne's of America.

Ignoring Idris' snide comment, Treighton said to Antoinette, "It has been some time, my niece, you look as beautiful as ever. Come, inside is warm, I am certain the staff will provide drinks for us while we wait for the others."

Toshiro nodded and would follow suit, however he had heard Idris commented on the individual known as Blaze. He responded in a soft manner,  "I am certain he is, though it has been some time since he visited."

Treighton watched as two bodyguards stop the group, but after showing off an iron medallion of sorts, the doors were opened into a foyer. It had been a full century since he had stepped into this place, used to it was bustling between Humans and Vampires, always so flawless and had a sheen to it. Now it was clean enough there was no dust, and the halls seemed so empty these days that it made him question what had happened. When he sent Alicia off to help in Alaska, she wasn't very informative about the ongoings of the Castle. But recently,  just a few days ago Treighton was informed by Toshiro of everything that had happened. But they would get to that later.

"That spoilt child?" Treighton asked Idris, "Bah, he would rather take off and drink and drug his eternity away than show up. I'd be surprised if he did."

"Damn, you're as bitter as ever ya old crow." A msn responds, stepping from behind the group followed by a very tall and masculine fellow. Ed and Ivan Blackthorne, one rules New York, the other a large city outside of Russia. The Ivory Serpent and the Hammer, two individuals who also didn't like Treighton at all because of... Some history, examples of what not to be, they were called. One ran the mafia while the other dealt in the black market and very, very inhumane things in the world.  He should have them killed later.

Blaze instantly froze and turned looking at the group that just entered. It had been a long time since he saw any of them and now he had been arguing with the coven detective. He slowly and nervously greeted them all "Hello brothers. Treighton, Idris, you both look well. Antoinette you've become rather beautiful." Blaze noticed Amber as well, the little thrall had always been by Toshiro and she too was pretty but now something was different, very different.  Blaze smiled "Toshiro it's good to see you again and please allow me to congratulate you and your new little wife on the pretty ring she has." He hung his head knowing he was probably in trouble "Forgive me for letting my fire get out of control brothers. I know few would accept my friendship with Draven but I'm really tired of him being treated poorly simply because of what he is. He said to tell you all he will relay messages to midnight pack for you." Blaze knew his older brothers disapproved of his life choices but he had decided it was time to change and hopefully they would acknowledge that he was being responsible for once.

Amber had been on vacation with Toshiro and was honestly sad when they had to return suddenly because of what was happening but she was doing her best to stay silent unless spoken to. When Blaze spoke congratulating her and Toshiro she grabbed her new husband's hand but didn't say anything.

The amulet pressed against Sebastián's chest, tucked under his shirt as it is for discretion, pulses icy cold. It is a harbinger of the approaching Blackthorne kin. Suspended within a drop of blood from a member of the famly allowing Sebastián to confirm the blood relations of the Blackthorne family. Others might take the use of such magical precautions as paranoia, but Sebastián knows better. The vampire clans are rife with those who wielded powers of illusion, and can change their shape at a whim, not to mention the other threats that lurked in the night. As the door opens, the family enters in force, he steps away from Blaze, standing at attention, his hands folded behind him. He is their  dutiful and loyal servant, standing vigilant over the Castle and it's inhabitants.

Sebastián nods at Toshiro, it is a simple gesture but the only one needed between two men. Sebastián reports to the Butler directly, and that nod is all the confirmation the two men need to know that the security procedures had been carried out, according Toshiro's instructions. Despite appearances, and the best attempts of Blaze to disrupt it, this day had been planned meticulously. Periods of transition were always fraught, there is always a chance for danger, from both centuries old schemes waiting dormant for their chance, and the impulsive actions of spurned family members upset by their position in the new order. Sebastián understands that strength in this world, true power, comes from institutions that transcended individual men or vampires, the only strength capable of lasting generations, and he is sworn to service of the institution that was the Blackthorne clan.

He also shares a curt nod with Treighton, a gesture of silent respect. And indeed, the detective did respect the Crow Father. The elder vampire is blunt, but he admires the freedom to be so though he would never voice such things out loud. There was a brutality to the Treighton's ways, but the world is a brutal place and despite his reserved demeanor Sebastián had put man and beast to the torch himself when the situation required it. Despite the mixed reaction others may have to the Crow Father the old inquisitor knows that Treighton serves the institution well, and is just as vital to it's health as Toshiro or himself.

Jewel entered the entry hall after having walked Alex back to town and freed him from their bond after he promised to never telling her secret. Upon seeing everyone in front of her she quickly bowed despite being behind everyone.  The Nightstalker knew the people who had arrived "Lord Treighton, Lord Idris, Lady Antoinette. Welcome, hope your journey was enjoyable." She stood up and smiled "Welcome back Toshiro. Amber Welcome home." Jewel then saw Blaze and offered him a smile "Lord Blaze, Welcome to you as well"

Amber turned and smiled hugging the woman excited "Jewel! It's nice to be back but to be honest I'd rather still be on vacation with Toshiro."

Idris found that his playful batter missed his mark and his brow quirked in annoyance. It had been too long since he had seen his wanderer of a brother and yet he never had the right words to say. Family, blood ties above all were important. The coven was important and Idris had his eyes on the prize: bringing this castle, Blackthorne castle back to its fabled glory. So while saying hello to family was all nice and dandy he was growing impatient.

Antoinette smiled brightly to her Uncle Treighton and would rush off taking his free hand in hers as hugs were not something she was overly into. This was the most affectionate she could be without feeling completely embarrassed. “Uncle Treighton it’s so wonderful to see you after all this time. You are looking relatively well.  No one has given you a hard time have they?” Genuine sincerity and concern for her uncles well being. Her voice sweet and yet icy despite the warmth she was showing. Unfortunately Idris rubbed much of himself on his niece and so she was not nearly as warm as she let on. Still it was much warmer in comparison to her recluse of a sister who cleaved to the books and experiments that  made her life go round. “Under better circumstances I’m sure we would have a better time..” Blaze would then speak and her attentions would go to her other Uncle.

Since they were closer in age she didn’t see him much like an uncle but instead a distant cousin. He wasn’t around much but they equally could have spent more time together. Walking over to Blaze she would then take his hands in hers standing equally with him. “Hello Blaze~ it’s been a long long time. You are also looking well. I’m so happy to see you have not perished to time.” She was referencing how vampires who tended to stay with humans would be lost to the flow in which human history takes place. Usually because of lovers or human remnants of family that they tried to stay close to. Blaze was a player sure but he was kind and a warm character so she wouldn’t have put it past him to stay with warm blooded being over with family. Antoinette was probably the only person in in the family besides himself who enjoyed werewolves and humans to the same extent.

Idris would nod to his other brothers that came into the picture. It was scary how deep their blood tan as it was clear male genes dominated the family. How Tiberius ended up with two girls was astonishing to say the least. Cold red eyes looked over to Sebastian and a small tug at the corner of his lips lifted. Such a good servant he was. Toshiro trained him well. And then another vampire came into view; Jewel. She was lovely however it was surprising to see another female vampire here. He had not taken inventory of all who laid in these halls. There were several vampires missing. The two corpse sowers he heard so much about, a couple mist walkers. Idris could care less for the thralls. They were only good for blood or sex and even that wasn’t enough to satiate his hunger and need sometimes. Still it had been years since he was in need of intimacy and so it wasn’t in the forefront of his desires. Instead he was eager to take hold of the position to rule the castle with an his quaking might. So much so that he stood up straighter and nod to those who came in showing his polite side for now.

Antoinette would turn around to see her other uncles and she would just bow to them as she was not sure how to feel about them. This was their very first meeting since she was little and it was awkward. But then Jewel took her attention as she had never seen that vampire before. She was a lovely visage and made Antoinette take a strand of hair and begin to curl it between her fingers in contemplations.

Blaze felt like he had once again disappointed his family. He smiled weakly at his niece "time won't be what kills me my beautiful niece, I'll probably die at the hands or my own brothers if I fuck up bad enough. But um I know I probably won't be believed but I thought maybe I'd come try be responsible for once." He looked at Jewel as she entered "Jewel Killfang, good to see you again." Blaze looked at everyone present and nervously waited for treighton and Idris to say something about him actually being responsible or to say something about Draven offering to be a messenger for the family.

Jewel smiled as she looked at Toshiro "I'm sorry to ask this but may I know what has happened that has brought Lady Alicia's family to the castle? Or why Sebastián is treating Lord Blaze like a their come to harm us all because of he chooses to have a wolf as a friend?" She looked at the others "Surely he deserves to be trusted instead of treated so poorly in his own family home"

'Idiot,' Treighton thinks as Blaze spoke, while it was true that he was a "disappointment" Blaze was far from being considered that form of threat to the family. Between the lot, Blaze was a freeloader, Alicia was sent to handle business better suited for her, it was at this point between Antoinette, Idris, and Treighton himself to keep the family running. Unfortunately due to his roll in life he couldn't start his own Estate sooner than what was acceptable, however he'll get there eventually.  But that was enough for self speculation right now.

With a clearing of his throat, Treighton says to everyone,  "If we are done with pleasantries, all Blackthorne family members will be headed to the Great Hall. Those who are not of the family blood, except the Head Butler and Lead Detective, will remain elsewhere.  This will be a private meeting. The doors will remain sealed during which time only maids and butlers are allowed in and out to serve. As for the types of services to the Family during which time..."

Toshiro smiled lightly and nodded his head, "I assure you there will be pristine blood wine and the finest chefs have cooked you all a feast. The doors will be sealed via locking mechanisms designed against powerful battering rams, which are also immune to magic. Those attending, please follow me."

Of course Treighton didn't answer Jewel Killfang, it was obvious that the Blackthorne Family have been at odds against the werewolf packs since the beginning. There was a lot of pain and loss over various misunderstandings that evolved into vicious aggressions and acts of skirmish, far deeper in the bloodlines history than most knew. Bringing a wereolf here was very dangerous and ignorant, a discussion Treighton will have with Blaze after this meeting. That said for now they had more important things, gatherings like this weren't just for deciding the fate of one establishment they were a means for familial reporting across the world. He remembered when there were dozens of Blackthornes, now only it seems that twelve remained, it was going to be ten after tonight.
