Guilty or Not Guilty

*Sigh*... Guilty. I owe email replies that I've been sitting on while I sort out my life.

Oh God, no. Not guilty. I despise the phone. Text is where it's at. Short, sweet, to the point, waste no time. I had a temp job in a call center and have hated answering phones ever since.

 

The next person is extra nice to call center folks even when they're angry because they know.

Guilty and also applies to retail employees. I work in an air conditioned office sitting down and sending emails now, and my time in other industries has made me eternally grateful for these small details, because oh my goodness other people have it so much worse.

Next poster swallowed gum once and got legit scared about it.

Guilty to both - when I was a kid I as told that gum would stay in my stomach for 7 years, so I got scared it would back up. AND

I kissed a few strangers in some strange settings.

Guilty. About the only memorable one was at a warehouse show. The band was mid-performance and the singer was doing that 'kneel down and get really close to the people in the front' type of thing. He stopped right in front of me, dropped onto his back with his head hanging off the stage, and between verse and chorus pulled me in for a 'Spider-Man' kiss. It happened fast, but I was definitely feeling it. 

The next person has stolen someone's gum during a kiss.

Not guilty. Not much to say - I grew up with church but not faith. Ritual not belief. I love the pageantry of highly theatrical religious ceremony, but it occupies the same place in my mind as musical theater. As I have grown older I have been more and more certain that there is no love like religious hatred.

Guilty. Prog and symphonic are still the pillars of my little metal heart, but black metal is very much welcome.

The next person enjoys the dulcet tones of a banjo.

Guilty. Huge fan of both Irish folk music and American bluegrass which are the two places it figures most prominently. I feel like there was a folk metal band that I stumbled across that floored me with their use of banjo...

I'm going to say "not guilty" even though I once could... the same injury that prevents me from long distance running will keep me from ever trying that again.

Not Guilty. Deep water freaks me out, and I've had to see too many ambulances on beaches. I love being on boats or in the shallows; just don't expect me to get out there. Riptides are real, y'all.

Guilty. But I rarely needed a reason like that. I had a stretch where I would drop whatever I was doing whenever a good rain came, just so that I could go walk, dance, sing in it. It's extremely freeing to be out when no one else wants to. It's kind of like having the entire world to yourself. And coming in after getting soaked to the bone, washing and wrapping up in something cozy with a hot cup of tea... It's the best. ❤

Guilty. I've always been a Maker's Mark girl since my ex got me into it, but recently switched to Knob Creek as my bourbon of choice. But let me tell you about this Michters 20 that I got to try at a dinner a few weeks back... I was going to buy some until I saw the price tag. Holy shit. Even the 10 is stupidly expensive, but the 20? Good lord. I guess there are benefits to being forced to try to get donations from rich people after all.

Not guilty. When I drank I was either pulling from the top shelf or the bottom. Laphroaig, Pappy Van Winkle or Vat 69 and Evan Williams. I know what a truly exclusive bottle can set you back and how much you can save if just getting drunk is the day's business.
