In my experience, people tend to burn out on longer games due various reasons.

We can mix and match with various genres and mechanics based on what the story needs. 

We could even have a shared premise. Crew of universe hopping ship must travel to various universes to collect parts of their broken ship so they can travel home at whatever the price is. Traits and mechanics change to fit the universe. Though this can totally be scrapped if you don't see any advantage of keeping one character for each story.

Anyways, I suggest we start with something basic. High fantasy, big bad wizard has a thing, you want the thing. You have to get through all his minions.

Attributes/Roles/Distinctions for traits. Doom Pool and stress tracks for mods.

Roles is a compression mod for skills. Instead of having unique stats for a list of different activities such as: "sneaking", "lockpicking", and "stealing" you just have a generalised "thief" role for it.

As for setup. Do we want multiverse travellers or disassociated stories? Everyone good with starting with "the raid of the lewd wizard" as I've decided to name my fantasy one shot.

I understood the difference between roles/skills, that statement was less for my sake and more for (insert name of anyone else who happens to join in) especially if we are going the one shot approach so people can drop in/out easily

im mostly basing my opinion on my talk with isabella

as for which route? I personally like the disassociated route atleast for the first few, so theres no compulsion to keep similar themes between one shots

That makes sense. I also personally prefer making completely new characters per adventure.

I also didn't think about people coming and going. That's actually brilliant.

Any character ideas. 

Any player character should probably have include fields for:

"I want my character included in these kinks!"

"Do not touch my character with that!"

Probably worded a bit better, but just so no one has to suffer through tentacles they didn't ask for.

if we are going the fantasy route for one, I thought of a fun twist on a trope. namely being a tomboyish girl whos father was an incubus, and she inherited his side of the charm as opposed to the typical "im part succubus" route we see all the time. depending on the rest of the group I can slot her in as a bard, rogue, duelist, sorcerer, or possibly a knight (at least equivalently since different system)
alternatively if its more steampunk/futuristic I have wanted to play some degree of a demolitionist for a while (mild inspiration from jinx in league of legends) and theres pleanty of routes there depending on the specifics of the setting

also, I like this approach... personally I vote "fuck yes" for the kinks we want and "fuck offs" for the ones we really dont /s

I gotta think up a hook for a steampunk story that isn't just "mad scientist is mad". I'll get back to you on that.

"Half Incubus" is a good distinction in my book. 

You could technically slot all those ideas as roles. I think 3 or 4 roles makes most sense. So Bard 12, rogue 8, sorcerer 6, and knight 4.

Sure, I'll have make a proper thread for the game with like some more context. Probably like:

"Raiding the Lewd Wizard"

The grand wizard Erik Shan, also known as the Lewd Wizard, has constructed a mighty tower filled the most degenerate and perverted magic know to man. He is almost done with the construction of his magic rod, an artifact that will enhance his powers allowing him to corrupt the entire world.

You are a group of valiant heroes chosen for you resilience against erotic magic to stop him.

There might be too many jokes in here already to make the source of his power his virginity. We'll see where everyone stands. Needs workshopping anyways.
