Hi, everyone! I decided to use this section of the site for more than game reviews. The point of this thread will be to discuss the Pokémon games! Mostly to find battling/trading partners, though. Anyone with a 3DS and a copy of Pokémon X or Y is welcome to post requests for battling and trading. You will have to post your 3DS Friend Code and in-game name, however. Of course, anyone is welcome to join in conversations! Oh, and this is also gonna serve as a place to gather Friend Safaris. The Friend Safari is a place in X and Y that's only accessible after beating the Champion. Everyone has 3 Pokémon linked to their Friend Code. When you exchange Friend Codes, you'll be ab…

Okay so I've been really into this game lately, and from the title I'm pretty sure you already know which game I'm talking about. It's of course about the four elements, and mainly about 4 separate nations, it had a kick ass animated series filled with action. The series was about a boy who was the last of his kind, gifted with powers thought to have been lost for centuries. He of course gathers his ragtag group of friends and travels the world with them in an amazing adventure to stop a power hungry maniac from taking over the world, and also further explore the depths of his powers. There's also plenty of romance and comedy, complete with the jokester of the group falli…

Game: Heavy Rain. Platform: PS3 exclusive. ArdillaVerde93's tagline: This... is... JAAAAAAAASOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!! "I love using motion controls for these Quick Time Events!" Before the game I'm gonna be talking about came out, saying that would've probably earned you a sound ass-kicking. Quick Time Events are cutscenes that require the player to perform certain button presses and/or movements in order to progress. Failure usually results in damage, or even death, to the player's character. Because of the usual suddenness of their appearance, which catches players, who put the controller down to watch what they think is a normal cutscene, off guard, they'r…

So, Game Freak/Nintendo have announced the newest Pokémon recently, called Magearna. I'm curious as to what people think of it, what their theories are, and anything else they feel like throwing into the conversation. My theories: Looks pretty similar to Diancie, so perhaps a bit of a Genesect modification thing going on? I'm thinking probably Steel/Fairy, like Mawile, perhaps. It's unlikely to be a new type, at the very least. People are pointing out that it looks like a Poké ball, and while I agree, I don't think it's likely to be related (though it isn't impossible), given that they didn't appear to have Poké balls that long ago, at least not in the form they…

So I'm doing this on another site, and I figured while I slowly make progress on writing Red Moon Nightmare chapters because writer's block is like an iron wall sometimes, I spread the despair I'm probably going to experience when I hit lategame. Until I've caught up with my backlog of episodes (since I update on Fridays), I guess I'll put up each episode at some random time so it doesn't seem like I'm taking over the Creative Corner like some kind of tyrant. Anyway, without further delay, let's get into it. The time has come at long last. Time for me to exact my revenge on the Alola region. You see, it's sort of a funny story. Once upon a time, I did a P…

Yes, every episode title is going to have Ultra somewhere in it. So, like with Episode 0, this was written several weeks earlier, so by this time, I'm already about halfway through the main story. As with the first and pretty much every episode, I originally posted this on a site where I believe not many people have too much general knowledge on Pokemon, so please excuse me if my long winded explaining gets a little grating on the eyes. Without further delay, let us begin. You know, to be honest, I'm sort of worried. I remember some details of how my casual playthrough went, and since we're doing a nuzlocke, I can't abuse revives on the more annoying lateg…

The torment has yet to begin, but hold your horses, it's coming...very, very soon. So I think they lowered the encounter rate for Oricorio in Melemele Meadow, because grinding the team up a bit was honestly more of a pain than usual. I still managed to get everyone up to Lv. 19, but it honestly took a lot longer than I had hoped. So, without further delay, we're forced to go to the Alola Photo Club and get a picture taken before we head off to our next destination on our island challenge. I still think this whole "forced photo club visit" is a total waste of time. Let's just get it over with. So out of all my team members worthy of being in a picture, I had …

To be honest, I'm a bit afraid of these upcoming trials. One is changed ever so slightly and the other one has a very annoying totem to deal with. The second one is probably one of my least favorite totems, but if you asked me honestly which one I liked, I'd tell you "the easy ones so then I don't get screwed." Anyway, as usual, I grinded up the team to be ready for the upcoming totem encounter. Nothing really eventful happened during grinding, but I will say that fighting Oricorio with a Roto Exp. Points is a good way to get experience faster. But with that aside, it's time to head onto the next town that I totally never mentioned existed in the last episode and…

This is it, ladies and gentlemen. With this, I am officially caught up on where I currently am in the Ultra Moon Nuzlocke. Although, due to snow related problems because northeast US in March of 2018 apparently has to have winter 2.0 during spring, the next episode won't be up until next Friday. Gives me a chance to grind up backup team members and generally work on other things, but we'll be back to the grind of avoiding despair and losing to a required encounter or something. I'm honestly starting to think that my Rotom Dex is actively trying to make sure I lose by giving me nothing but useless Rotom Powers. I have 14 Roto Hatches and a bunch of Roto Friendship…

Before we begin today's episode, I have something to say that I want you to keep in your hats for about an episode. I went back to Konikoni City after doing the MVP Spotlight for Nanu and bought the Shield Fossil and ressurected it at Route 8 for a Shieldon. This is important for later. Now, on with the episode. Well...here we are. Back to the Aether Paradise. This time, we aren't here on a pleasure cruise...even though the last time we came here, we ended up fighting a pissed off jellyfish from an Ultra Wormhole, so you could argue that the first visit was hardly a pleasure cruise too. But to get back to the seriousness, we have to rescue Lillie, and Gladion "…

I was on the Source Gaming discord last night and, of course, with the next Smash Bros. game around the corner, I wanted to make a roster prediction. I put way too much thought and effort into it and now I want to use it for more than just a passing glance on a discord server. So I decided why not post it here! In needs some polishing, but I didn't bother yet in case I need to make any adjustments. This is my predicted roster for Smash V, this is not a wishlist but rather a list of characters that I think are likely to make it in. Some characters might not have gotten on the list for various reasons, but this list is based on patterns and logic based on previou…

So, before we get into the plot filled fun times that is Poni Island, let me just say one thing. I added Thug Life, that Scraggy we caught on Route 16, to the team. Raising her up was a pain since I'm saving my Roto Exp. Points for when I really need them. Along with that, I have to get my secret weapon ready to go. Anyway, we have a date with Plot Island, so let's get to it, why don't we? Thanks to Gladion and his boat driving skills that he somehow has, we arrive in the last town in the game, Seafolk Village. Almost nobody lives on this island, which apparently makes it the perfect place for all the major story events to happen. Gladion informs us that we nee…

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. The moment we've all been waiting for has come. The time has come to confront the big, bad, light sucking Necrozma. But before we go and ascend the Alter of the Moone at the end of Vast Poni Canyon, let's take a glance at who our Defenders of Alola's Light will be. From what you can see here, I chose to switch two team members out for this mission since they would not be providing much help in this epic battle. Spark Plug doesn't have anything to hurt Necrozma too well and The Third, while useful, can't really take a hit too well. To temporarily replace them, we have Shades, the Krookodile we got as a Krokorok in Haina…

Well, today's the day. After taking some time to recover from the despair filled nightmare that was Ultra Necrozma, we're back and ready to take on the final trial. But before we delve deep into this mess, I did do some grinding and chose to add Evil Kelp the Dragalge to the team, mostly just to handle this last trial. He honestly has no other major roles to play outside of that, to be honest. Otherwise, it was the standard "raise everyone up and have a backup mon prepared for certain things in this episode" kind of grinding. So, when all your item purchases and grinding is done, make your way to the Wishcash boat...house thing, a place you probably visited if yo…

I recently started replaying the Overlord series and, while this is just my headcannon, I suggest that the games are set in a part of Albion that we didn't get to see in the Fable games. The games have a similar feel and sense of humor. Anyone else played these games? Opinions?

Okay, so if you don't remember this game, its the one with the arrows you have to step on. I know, its super vague, but its a good analogy in my opinion. I've played the game for the majority of my life, and loved almost every minute of it. I say ALMOST due to some little shits over at Konami when they released SuperNOVA 2 on the PS2. I liked it, I cleared the entire Mission mode twice even. The song group was decent too, I actually liked over half the choices which is rare for me. But one song always stuck out for me: bag. All lowercase letters. So the thing about bag is that it is specifically labeled as a 65 BPM song (Beats Per Minute) and the Expert chart …

Anyone else play this? The graphics are amazing. There's also SO much to do for being a game where you can be free to play (f2p). Yes, you do miss out on exclusive things like skins for your food souls sometimes if you don't spend real money. I will admit being level 76 there is less to do because it's mostly grinding at this point but there is still a lot. It's mildly addicting personally. I've spent long nights playing when I should have been sleeping lol. If you play and want to add me my name is ChristinePi, I'm on the Light Kingdom server. ^^

I'm not an advertisement.. but it was brought to my attention you can get DOAXVV in English for free on Steam... if you're into that kind of thing. 😋 I've never played it before, some people complained about region locks but it installed and ran for me just fine. It's not listed if you search for it.. at the moment anyway, but here's a link if you're interested: https://store.steampowered.com/app/958260/DEAD_OR_ALIVE_Xtreme_Venus_Vacation/?cc=sg

Hello, and welcome back to...wait a minute, what the hell is this? Why does the script make this sound like an intro for a YouTube video? It looks like I'll be having a nice, long talk with the script crew about this one tonight. It will not be a pleasant conversation, I'll tell you that much. That's not what we're here for, though. Today, it's time to scour the Alola region for content now unlocked since we've become conqueror of Alola. Well, sort of, since we aren't going anywhere near Aether Paradise. Now, let's not beat around the bush, let's...oh wait, I forgot. Before we do go and take care of business, let's talk about team changes. Since Captain Keys …

With E3 coming to a close what is your most anticipated game out of the three major console giants? Is there a specific game you into with a addition announced at E3? I can tell you mine I'm not overly fond with the Metroid dread but my personally opinion I'll give it a shot I just don't like the 2d format I'm open for discussion if anyone wants to discuss

Ladies and gentlemen, the day has finally arrived. After 3,000 years, I finally decided to stop being the physical embodiment of Hilda from Three Houses and got around to making this. For the sake of context as to why I'm making this in the first place, Lately, I've just been making new statuses whenever I finish a game and give my short final thoughts on it, but back when I finished Nocturne back in April, I said in a throwaway line, and I quote, "One of these days, I should probably just make a thread where I can dump all my backlog nonsense instead of trying to shove it in these profile messages," so here we are about 3 months later. Welcome to my "space where I wil…

Welcome to this little thread starter! I’ve decided to make this because I have nothing going on. Yet that got me thinking... I have some pretty silly stories to tell when it comes to my online experiences. Specifically in games. Like Dark Souls, Splatoon, Pokemon Showdown, Minecraft, Smash Bros, or any game that has some kind of PVP or online features in it. Clearly I’m more of a Nintendo guy, but any other platform discussion is perfectly fine, Playstation, Xbox, PC. All I wanna hear are funny little tales you have for online games, because I have quite a few! I’ll start with a game I’ve been practically addicted to, Doom Eternal. I love this game so much, I co…

WARNING: This post may contain spoilers for Resident Evil Village, I will be putting my thoughts about the game here and some key plot point might be revealed. THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO EITHER SCROLL QUICKLY TO SEE COMMENTS OR BACK OUT. IF I SPOILED THE GAME FOR YOU, DON'T WHINE AT ME. --- NOTE: Keep in mind I'm just a regular player, not a pro or a video game journalist, so if I ever get something wrong, just let me know and I'll edit. I'm posting this while my experience with the game is still fresh in my mind. The Resident Evil series had a long, rocky road ever since Shinji Mikami's iconic series debuted in 1996, with small batch of games that …

Wrong Direction (RE6 Rant)

I've been thinking a bit about Resident Evil in general after finishing Village, which is a pretty excellent entry in the series. The series had its highs and lows and sometimes it feels Capcom are pretty misguided. Just think how about they keep trying to make online games nobody want instead of bringing back the Outbreak games, which everybody want. Weird, isn't it? But of all the missteps Capcom ever made with the series, none boiled my blood as hard as Resident Evil 6, the unwanted step-child begging to be locked into the attic and fed with stale bread and dirty water. Capcom tried to go all-out on this one and make it some kind of mega-event reuniting all those class…
