We may be getting caught up too much on the 'sex as an aesthetic' idea here. Nobody gets to choose their sex when they're born, why should Dylan? You could roll a d20: 2-10: male; 11-19: female; 1 or 20: intersex. 

Maybe the forced limitation will bring on a new insight?

Alternately, we could go Edward Scissorhands on this. Dylan was a toy, but one that was being worked on or molded to the particular caprices of their makers, and their genitals are the most apparent sign of this. (Though, subtext of genital mutilation may be a bit grimmer than we were looking for in this game... idk).

And this is where I am. They were made as a toy, but by whom? What were their proclivities?

I'm ok with Dylan having been infibulated (if you don't know, skip it) and fed hormone blockers or been subjected to a back alley intersex assignment surgery, but that's rough.

What if instead of focusing on what Dylan's sex 'is', we focus on why it feels arbitrary or confusing. For instance, what if this Dylan is not the first Dylan? They are the last but after they escaped their makers, they found all the other 'broken toys'. They were all clearly Dylan, but varieties: fem Dylans, masc Dylans, futa Dylans, etc. 

At that point we could just roll a die because the arbitrary nature of that aspect of our Dylan has been brutally displayed for them.

I rather like this. But, I think there's a clear progress and this Dylan is another step towards hentai fully functioning futa. But they're not there yet. d20 roll, I have a sliding scale in mind. Who wants to roll?

Ok, so Dylan looks to be headed for, what, D cups at some point, but at the moment we're shy of that.

What I think this all adds up to is Dylan's mostly femme but The Maker gave her a tiny penis/enormous clitoris (which I, in my maturity, will call a dicclit).

In future iterations, the WNS Random Futa Generator will have a third matrix for faces. @DreamsnThings's roll gives us that kind of masculine face, so. The generator works!

That would create bell curve which would be great, but I've already got Dylan sorted in my head.

I think the interesting thing is this revised trauma of seeing the earlier versions of themself.

My take is that Robin and Velvet have mostly seen each other in passing at Playland since Robin's initial surprise save from Mr. Ascars. I think that night, they probably just walked for a bit until Velvet felt ok breaking off, with Robin talking about being new in town and starting at the community college in the fall as a Junior but getting little back from the enigmatic Velvet (Vel has a way of ingratiating herself without overcommitting to people/groups, so this makes sense to me). Since then, Robin's seen her with a bunch of different cliques and individuals (may have even seen her in the opening hour of her 'date' with Danny, the missing kid)—and this gives Robin the impression that Velvet is extremely popular and well-liked, maybe not quite grasping how shallow a lot of these connections are. 

Overall, Robin looks at Velvet like she's on the inside of a world Robin's only seen from afar. She's intrigued because everything from how she dresses to how she behaves is the sort of girl Robin's family and church always warned her to avoid.

Yes, I'm good with this. Robin is with Velvet and a couple of Vel's friends in a suburban bedroom of one of the friends looking at options. @DreamsnThings with the beauty school friends are you thinking hair and makeup too or is Velvet kinda focused on getting the clothing right?

I think this is a pair of twins, they want to get different jobs in fashion from one another, the older twin Samantha adores clothes, fashion, and design. Well they younger twin lizzy is majorly into makeup both for practical beauty purposes, and for "trick" makeup, including things like special effects makeup in movies, as well as more optical illusion style makeup 

Velvet... has a little bit of a deal with them, they love doing makeovers for their ticktok and youtube channels (one sister manages one, the other sister manages the other) so velvet brings someone now and then who she thinks would make for a good "model" for a makeover, and for a good video... velvet also has popped in for a vid a few times both as a random guest and as a makeover candidate... and is a semi regular, which she likes since she seems liked despite mr ascars not actually being involved at all with the viewers
