I figured something probably would, but did not have a good idea what yet, or exactly how long it would take them to make their trip.  Beyond that them being somewhere vague in Japan, no sense of where they are, are going or exactly how big the territory of various teams are.

Welp, if nothing, I will try to make a post soon. I don't want to just throw something early if it doesn't make sense. But depending on how things go, We will see how that goes. I just want to make sure this doesn't get hard to reply something original if they just walk across the land to make it to somewhere else. I could let my imagination go, too.

Now, I'm not exactly sure how to work a reply with this. I don't think anything would happen that would contribute much. It would almost be better if you skipped to their destination or close. Otherwise, I'm not sure what to add. (And also, to Jumi's concerns toward Shinigami, which I can't change for now.) Just thought I'd say my thought.

Yeah, I was thinking largely the same.  My biggest thing was being unsure how long it should take, if they needed to stop to sleep first.

Well, they did get up not long ago. They only escaped the city AND they are now turning around it to reach the temple. I'd say sleep might not be just yet. No point for too many fillers, they can be flunk toward the temple a bit to avoid filler content. I think they said what they had to and now, they're just keeping sane while walking.

Will hopefully get a Shinigami reply in earlier today than I have some days.  But have to go back and read through one or both of the other times characters visited the temple, get the layout and feel of the place back in my head.  As well as one of the characters who might appear in the reply.

By the way, I doubt Nall would ever do anything. I believe the rules apply to animals. As in... Any forms of bestiality? (I think so, anyway.) Although that's only for images... I don't think there would be issues but I am not currently fishing for anything with him. Now, if someone provoked anything with him though, well... Whatever happens will happen.

I was not pushing for it, not expecting much other than maybe him finding it awkward.  Definitely a big no with pictures, but for text I believe under 18 stuff, or things that look like it is the only forbidden stuff for sexual content.  It’s one of those things I occasionally thought about a little, when it came to Nall, but would probably take something significant happening in story to even maybe move in that direction.

Yeah, not pushing for it either. He's the comedic relief if anything but still. One boy surrounded by girls. (Mitsuko probably already remind him of Althena). He won't have it easy. Otherwise, I never really planned to have him do anything nsfw. He's there for Mitsuko's plotline and sfw scenes. At least, that's what I had planned for him when I brought him.

By the way, I realize that the topic is locked on turning around Death being well, Death or not Death. I have ideas behind what I want to do with this but I still have troubles not making this a bit awkward. In this world, I am not sure if it's entirely a good idea to have Death itself as a character but at the same time, things seem to twist with it being odd if there was no such thing either. I think Shinigami is taking the blow for the awkwardness of it, though. Plus, I'm not sure I want the fox to have any demon energy or it will ruin the premise.

So right now, I want to keep things interesting while developing my fox but I am being a bit aimless with the way I want to end concluding it. (And I think the story might suffer for it as well). Sooo. At this point, I am wondering what is best to do with it. AND what are they even supposed to find in the library of that place? With ideas potentially being argued around who the characters are, I have no idea if a history would even be written or not (And by whom). And in some cases, if anyone would even know the character (as things seem new)

What would be one good approach about this? (And yeah, I figure I'd best ask here instead of trying to do this on my own and potentially ruin everything by doing so.) I get that Shinigami gives demon vibes too, with her upside down cross in her face. The entire part worries me a bit since if I try to pull the rail tracks together to get where I want, I may still crash the train in the attempt. I am probably overthinking this but at the same time, something "might" be off with what's going on and maybe I'm not seeing the entire picture so yeah.

It’s a good question, one I thought about some today, but did not come up with a good answer.  Have been rather flexible with the settling, for the most part allowing people to do what they want.  I can see the argument both ways for whether or not the mother is actually death.  As for the library, the goal really is to see whether or not they can find anything that will help Shinigami find acceptance, which may or may not include information about the mother.  Or they could look for other help, if they want to try praying to Maxim. It’s not impossible they could some form of help or another from there.

As it is, the Death girl (coincidentally) sounds like a Pelintira of sorts. Not as cool as the great witch, though. I also want to make sure that the characters fit some of the settings. I go a little crazy because we have demons, aliens, etc. I figure that forms of magic not completely classic to standard magical girls would be fine. The truth is, I wanted to have Death at first but slowly, I am wondering if I should not give a lesser role to her. (One that is not ultimately something that's way too overkill as an entity and so one that might not be fun.)

Shinigami can as well be the same kind of deathling as a magic creature or something. If a spirit of life can exist then a spirit of death could also work. I admit things are a bit all over the place but while I do like the idea of going original with ideas, I also don't want to dominate and make other characters appear like lesser threats. That's not fun for anyone. Same reason Lenneth is not, well, an overkill goddess of sort. Shinigami herself could just really be a dark magic creature (Darkness) rather than one based on demons (Underworld).

I also wanted her to differ from demons a little so she can have a chance in the world and not give the wrong idea about what she can do. Like, she can't corrupt or mark targets as hers like a succubus can, by example. Her origins, actually, come from Harry Potter's deathly hallows so she's basically a voldemort kind of character. Might as well compare her to death eater or such, with the death mark. None of it really feels demonic but remains very "dark magic", though. It's at least a little bit of what I was going for. Scary, not demon.

P.S.: I asked ChatGPT for ideas and I got some good ones. Not sure about the girl yet but I'll wait for a reply before I really decide anything about that.

I just realized something. I left Shinigami's "race" in her bio as "Fox demon" but with an interrogation mark. I'll be honest, it has been haunting me for days. I dunno what the correct term for what I try to with her is. And if I am making a mistake by trying to avoid the demon thing or not. I know I spoke about her a lot above but I'm really not sure about how to define her. A part of me tries to see her like a kami of sort. (A goddess, in short?). I know for a fact she doesn't really have a place in hell. She doesn't have minions, she doesn't corrupt.

Her main thing is basically death. And darkness or void. I checked deathnote by example and the creature there might be called demon but they are also know as extra-dimensional beings. So what exactly defines a demon in this story's sense? So far, it seems to be hell-born creatures like hellhound, possibly Micori, succubus, horned creatures, typical fire-based monsters. Loona is herself a kind of hellhound, which makes sense. Bunny man is also a creature from hell by lore. So is Shinigami a "demon" by definition and just not a hell born one...?

Shinigami is basically born by death (if the thing about souls sticks.), she was created, born or awakened by a ritual (Just not really a satanic one). I am still unsure about the details because I care about her more than about how she was made. But yeah, it gives me a bit of anxiety because as much as I love her, I'm really afraid to go the wrong route with the way putting her in the story. Any opinions would really be nice. If I must correct something about her, I will. I just want to stop myself from having doubts every times I think about what she is.

So, um. I just joined this club, not entirely sure what to expect... and now I'm faced with what seems to be an ongoing story for a long time, in a way that... I'm not sure how do I even start? ;; where can a fully new character show up without messing up continuity or something?

Honestly, not much has been done, despite appearances. You can make a magical girl or knight, or a villain. The world is in continuity so you can just appear whenever. Like, if I bring a new character, they will appear in a scene when it makes sense. (It's not about new or old roleplayer.) There are no "levels". So power level isn't an issue.

In short, make a character and we can see where they fit. Some characters are in standby so there's always a possibility here or there for something to happen. I have like 2 or so in standby myself, waiting for a place in the story. There is always a chance some "active" characters meet with other ones as well. So yeah, it should be alright.

P.S.: Characters do grow stronger but again, it should not be too much of an issue to introduce a new character who may be newer at this or not. (I did exactly that with Mitsuko), she is fresh new at this in a world that's pretty dangerous for her. Teams can mix up new and old and help each others. I think the story is friendly on that side.

So far everything has pretty much been connected in some way (some connections looser than others), though my intention always was that whole world of independent teams I tried to describe in the description.  There is nothing stopping people from making a story completely unconnected from the characters so far if they want.  Trying to join in the existing story is possible too, if a little more complicated and optionally reading existing stuff but help could be given.

It has slowed down with some of us having less time to write, though I hope to eventually get myself writing more frequently again.  As well as a few characters still getting some adjustment to their stories after one member left.

I know your time is limited so take your time but I'd like to know what you think about this. I'm just not sure what to think of it on my own. I probably worry for nothing because it's not a territory I go on often. (I've had other dark beasts who were not in any ways a demon so there's that.) so maybe I'm just overthinking. She might just be like "Death" (or less) in puss in boots or something.
