My personal opinion is that they're quite awesome if used properly. They help to address and work around the limitations of the human form while also maximizing on its positives. They do require a fair bit more communication to use properly than just having straight up sex, though (assuming you're using them on someone else as opposed to yourself) so they're mostly what I'd consider using as a couple rather than in a hookup.

That said, the one thing that is universal about toys is that cheap ones are practically garbage, the ones that are worth it are insanely overpriced, and the ones with the coolest sounding features nearly never work as intended/advertised.
