I'll try and get to rules and threads tonight. Let's say we'll elevate the character limit from one to two. I'd consider lifting it altogether, but I've seen some folks go overboard with so many characters that I'll keep it limited for now, unless there are any further objections. Either way, I'll put a new character thread together tonight, at least.

Well... Between a couple of familiar names, and the fact I've been pulled into playing around with a system RPG called Otherscape off-site, itself having a huge Cyberpunk focus, I started trying to think about what sort of character I could make for something like this. x.x

It's a bit hastily done, but I've edited the rules and guidelines to simplify them a bit. I locked the old character sheets thread and have posted the new one.

I checked the threads, and considered hiding my initial post, because it seems a bit much to lock the whole thread and start a fresh one with just one or two posts. They can also just be ignored. If you guys have any thoughts on the matter, let me know.

For now, I don't know when/if I'll have a character of my own prepared. Just got back and am still story planning, so don't want to overwhelm myself. Still, let me know if there's anything else you folks would like, but at this point, you got shared control Satai, so feel free to take it as you wish, if you want.

not sure but it would be a intresting idea to have employee's that way you at least always have someone roaming around threads to rp with even when you can't find anyone

Quick question, for the characters are we allowed to give them jobs? Like, I am thinking about making a bartender!

I personally like the idea of having staff, itll feel a little bit directionless if we are at a buisiness and no one is working anything... that said i want to avoid a hotel California where one person going offline for a while causes everything to screetch to a halt...

So im thinking allow it well also allowing more than one person to take a given roll, ie bartender should be plural as bartenders but thats my 2 cents ~n~

no i think you have the right idea, its honestly unidel to suspect a single rper to manage one crucial role 24/7 like its a actual jobx,, better to make it  a group of people occupying the same occupation... even better if they have complimentary timezones to each other

It's fine to allow someone to play a working role in the club, and then have other people interact with NPCs also working that job. So multiple bartenders, waitresses, bouncers, etc. The only kind of role that it'd be weird to have multiple people is the club manager, which would be best saved for me or Satai if such a character were to be made.

I'm all for seeing staff characters in the mix with other patrons, they need some fun too. : p All work and no play, and all that.

Also, having peeked into Hotel California early on, noticing the game ground to a halt is definitely one more reason to have one or more people in management to keep things running incase someone needs to step away, so I'm going to agree with Dreams and inky on those notions.

Good on you all trying to keep things going, I get pretty demoralized when leadership fades in a game, because then it's just on life support at that point until everyone bounces. x_x

For now, this being the weekend, I'll probably be busy with friends and family most of the day, but if I can finish my guy for the game, I'll post him up later, and then see what I want to do with a second char slot if possible.
