I just want to know for sure but is this the kind of city this place is about or darker and more dystopian? (I found this purely by randomness, btw.)

Also, I went a bit dumb with a character idea of mine (based on some older character). She is... uh... special. Well, anyway. Just a test. It should work with the setting but hard to say how well it will work with the theme. Feel free to say opinions. It's the usual wtf character sheets of mine going far and deep with stories that feel unusual. So... Yeah.

It is a good question, others can give their thoughts on.  The genre tends to lean to the darker side, and probably at least parts of the city are.  But have to figure out exactly how much it applies to the entire city or not.

So more like Alita battle angel. (Previously known as Gunnm). I know it's more of a reference to Cyberpunk itself but I only really know Gunnm and etc more.

Hmm...I would say it is half dark and half lighter.

Some parts would be covered in neon signs/lights and large buildings would have extremely bright lights on.

I believe places like the district that The Garden are in would probably be on the darker side. Possibly because of less maintenance with lights and such where the only lights are in/on the buildings.

Yeah, I can see the style. I just realized "VA-11 Hall-A" is basically this anyway. It's a game I played which I really enjoyed so yeah. It works too in the sense that "dark city" is a theme that Emiko knows but it's a world she completely ignores about. The confusion is real as she might be pursued by those she escaped from. Or at least some bounty.

Will get these mental gears going again at some point.  Not enough of an expert to give much input on it.  Want to hopefully let Gard and Dreams any input if they want too as well.  Though yeah, I like that image.  May think up a bit about Ryoko’s mom and/or some of the other ladies there who may eventually be occasional side characters (place they work will be easy enough, just taking the place from one of my other, inactive, clubs and maybe adjusting it a little).

Have to see if I can a good picture for Ryoko’s mom.  I did good with Ryoko.  Have to see if I can repeat it.  I have a tradition to continue from another club too after all.  Need more hit moms in your area.  Though I had help with my previous hot mom.

Time to bring Krystal and her mom to this world. They might not exactly fit the cyberpunk style, though. So not sure about that hot mom in this story. XD

Still picture looking.  But I made a separate thread, 'Setting Development Thread'.  Will put notes about that place there, maybe later today.  Other places could be described there, by me or others.  Probably will keep that thread to just notes about the places/setting in general, while discussion and figuring things out still happen here (cleaner that way, even if a certain other club's Setting Development Thread got rather fun and long by mixing the notes and discussions).

Adding the first post of notes there.  Could be edited either by discussion here, or me thinking about it more.  Might not be a major setting in the story, but could be visited from time to time by characters.  Maybe or maybe not including Ryoko.  Will see about getting some replies in replies in on other clubs a little later, after a brief distraction, as well as here, if anyone posts anything while I am away.
