From the main lobby all visitors are ushered through a hallway that splits off into two directions. On the left they will be taken to the lounge as well as the stairwell to the upper floor. If they continue ahead, however, then they will ascend the steps to the main bar and the dance floor. This is, by far, the loudest spot of the club, where you can barely hear yourself think and have to shout in order for the bartender to maybe, possibly, hopefully hear what drink you've ordered. Often the first destination for those new to the club, either because they are just used to walking right in, getting a drink, and hopping onto the dance floor like all other clubs, or are interested in getting into "the action" with as few words as possible.

The crack of dawn...god damn it, why does it always have to be the crack of dawn with businesses? A mechanic? Makes sense. A farmer? Makes sense. But a god damn bar/whorehouse? The crack of dawn? Really?

-----[10 Minutes Ago]-----

Maray rubs her eyes while sitting in the employee-only section of the parking lot, her 2090 Ford Explorer quietly idling so she can keep the heat on. "Why...do this every day? You love your job...But- DAMN IT IF I HATE THE FUCKING MORNING- AAGGGGHHH!" She stares off at the bright-ass sun before taking a deep breath and stepping out, walking inside of the club through the back door while rubbing her eyes.

-----[Present]-----

Maray adjusts her tight tuxedo vest, an outfit she was told to wear for work, and pushes up her bra slightly. "Still as uncomfy as the first day..." She has been working here for the last....what was it now? 3 years? Ah, whatever, she knew the owners well enough and believed they were cool, so she stayed. The hot water blasted against a large glass cup and got rid of any old alcohol that lingered, Maray taking a dry rag and sticking her nearly-fully metal hand inside before going up and down across the wet surface to dry anything still dripping. She hummed a small tune while starting on the next one. This usually takes a little bit, but today is oddly fast, getting done in roughly 20 minutes.

Almost right in time for the doors to open!

That...is usually fun, and loud...God damn is it loud....

The dance floor is not yet lit up and the place almost looks like a normal bar, though if you shined a blacklight, this place would light up like one large glowstick...

-----[Five Minutes Later]-----

Maray is casually wiping down bottles and whistling a tune she heard on the radio this morning, her eyes constantly darting towards the dance floor and the beams that held the lights. "Not gonna get me...Not gonna get me..." She repeated out loud, her attention being pulled towards the door and the sounds of voices.

"Ah, looks like it's time-" The bright, multi-colored lights come on and immediately shine right into Maray's eyes. "GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!"

Between the space between them, and not watching, Dai and Ryoko were not seeing much anymore.  Not hearing everything.  Though they did pick up some of what was being said, they just appeared to be a second pair, like the two they were watching.  Dai and Ryoko had of course crossed that line with each other, more than once, though it was not especially frequent.  “If you were that bold, maybe you would have got there first.”  Ryoko softly whispered with some amusement.  Whether a side effect of his job, or some other circumstance, Dai was never quite so quick or one to take the lead, but he was first in line it seemed, not counting her cheating to get inside.  If he spoke up quicker, maybe he would be the one sitting there talking to her.  Though it was a little disappointing it sounded like they might wander off somewhere more private before it got really good.  Dai just shrugged it off without comment though.  That might have been fun, but he was not upset or jealous the other man beat him to it.  He would probably have his chance at some future point, if the girl kept coming back.

Some of the other talk made Ryoko fidget though.  Business, unrelated to the sorts of things going on here.  It sounded innocent enough, but with the life she lived day to day, she was always cautious.  She was certainly a criminal, long time one, came with the gang life.  She had to watch for both rival gangs, and the law.  This place had been a haven so far, but she could not rule out the possibility someone would eventually come looking for her.  Neither of those two probably had any interest in her, but it was better to be safe.  “…Probably best to let them talk about ‘business’ privately.”  She accidentally said louder, as she stood.  “I’m going to the main bar, who knows, get drunk enough, maybe you will see me dance after all.”  Dance of a sort anyways, the random squirming of a drunk woman.

She quickly walked in that direction, as Dai stood and followed her, he had a degree of an idea why she was so uneasy.  Neither of them said anything or looked to the other pair as they made their way to the main bar.  The first customers to make it there tonight.  Though there was the familiar face of the regular bartender, Maray.  The two made their way towards the bar, at this Dai was mostly focused on making sure Ryoko did not get too drunk.

Fluffy white ears lowered flat against Evi's head as she followed her new acquaintance into the brightly lit space. Here the music was louder and the bass thumped harder within her head. It would be a little uncomfortable, but she could deal with it. In fact it only took her a few seconds before her ears relaxed, returning to their normal upright position. Eyes darted about, taking in her new surroundings, and the soft clicking sounds of pictures being snapped within her skull were drowned out by the dance floor's beats.

Not here either. Not yet.

Evi kept close to Dalton, although now she had given him at least most of his personal bubble. Her approach had been stronger than she had intended. Besides, she had to be a little more careful now that they would be consuming alcohol. He had wished to drink, to enjoy themselves before any business. Her proposal had also been set incorrectly. What she had in mind was simple. Safe. Legal. Something he might even enjoy, perhaps something they could turn into a game.

That might be the best way to handle it, actually.

It wasn't anything too serious, but the way she had approached it definitely didn't help. Alas, she would now need to live with the consequences of her approach. A single drink. Perhaps chatting about their personal lives. She didn't know which she would rather avoid more.

It'll be fine.

After the quick flashbang(and plenty of swearing that sounded something like a sailor stopping his toe), Maray had begun trying to get the bar's tv to work so she could have some background noise and so any customers could watch as well if they wanted. "Come on...you fucking...piece of...shit...!" She said, pressing the on button while holding the remote at odd angles in order to potentially change the outcome. This thing is always a bitch to deal with, even more so than her ex...

Maray heard what sounded like footsteps approaching from behind. Probably just the janitors or something....Meh, she was more focused on the tv currently. "Come on...Come oooon....YES!" The dark screen lit up to show what looked to be an old black and white telenovela. Maray threw her hands in the air and let out a big groan that sounded like some type of roar.

She finally turned around to see...4 people walking up, panic plastered on her face and spreading throughout her very being as she rushed to fix up her hair. Then she noticed she noticed who two of them were and immediately stopped. "Ah, Ryoko! Dai! Good to see the two of you!" She then looked over at the other 2 that were approaching. "I...don't think I know you two...Especially you, I know we don't check I.Ds but are you even legal?" Maray did not mean to be mean or disrespectful, but it is too hard not to be when somebody looks so young. She then noticed the ears and tail and nodded. "Nevermind. Kids can't get those."

She let out a sigh and nodded at the short woman.

"Anyways, what can I get all of y'all?"

There it was, the energy he knew. The booming music that reached deep into his soul and made the unassuming male want to break out into some of the weirdest dances... Mercifully, he had the sense of consideration to not make others watch his silly moments when others who DID deserve to have their dance moves witnessed did their work in the environment. The lighting only added to the mood, drawing a smile on his face as his eyes scanned the engironment. As expected, however, he noticed Evi kept her ears down. He regretted bringing her to this spot just a bit, but she seemed to adjust to it well enough after a while. She truly was adaptable, it seemed... And if her hearing was sensitive enough, anything he said to her, she could probably hear as long as he leaned close enough to say it.

He leaned close, pausing for a moment as he kept one hand pocketed. "It takes some getting used to, but once you let the atmosphere in, it's easy to acclimate to. Before you know it, you'll probably find your hips swaying or tail wiggling to the music." Wouldn't THAT be a treat to see, he thought inwardly. He couldn't read her at all, even outside when he thought she was a distant or disinterested person, then surprising him with close contact. She was a threat, but not a dangerous one... More a threat to his understanding. In other words, she was well and truly a cat. She only showed as much interest as she was willing to give, and she'd probably show her claws if he was the sort to try anything.

It was a good thing the music was loud enough, he couldn't listen to Dai or Ryoko say anything about him or Evi, such words would have likely drawn paranoia from him that others were so keen to eavesdrop, and from his point of view, seeing Ryoko hurry off for the bar simply gave him the idea she really wanted a drink, or several. Then again, if anyone knew he assisted law enforcement or worked with a special division to monitor unique cybercrimes, he was sure someone was gonna have it out for him. All the more reason he remained as boring and neutral as possible. Approaching the bar, there looked to be technical difficulties going on with the television... He prayed Graf didn't have a hand in it, but the petulant networm was quick to mention it wasn't him, someone was probably just bad with technology. Whatever the case... As soon as Maray spoke, he stumbled slightly.

"Ouch, I come here all the time... But if I'm unknown, then I'm doing a good job of keeping to myself, heh. I normally order my drinks from the lounge or one of the tables while I watch folks dance... Anyway, I had staff order a pair of Cobalt Velvets not too long ago, I just figured I'd bring company inside to enjoy the drinks with a bit more liveliness... And, uh, apparently to make myself known. The name is Dalton, miss..." He squinted, trying to look at her name tag over the bright lights and hair covering one of his eyes, before his brow raises. "Moray? You're named after an eel?"

Almost as soon as they sat, the other pair found their way over.  Well, it was not too surprising.  This was the place people were most likely to go after the lobby, especially while the crowd was still light.  The four of them might together until those two went off to discuss their business,  They probably were not followed for the reasons Ryoko was worried about.  She remained a little edgy, though, but did not intend to talk about it here.  “Something hard.  To drink.”  She quickly added, knowing what Maray had below.  That sort of hardness would come later. Though it remained to be seen from who.  She kept her joke to herself about what the man, Dalton said.  Maray could choose whether or not to tell him about the ‘eel’ she had.

“Your recommendation, for something lighter.  I might have to watch her first a bit.”  Dai answered Maray, he would have introduced himself to the other pair maybe, but Maray gave their names.  No harm in their first names being known at least.  Ryoko was probably overthinking things, though he could not blame her, in her position.  Either way, first names were probably harmless.  “Careful about giving Ryoko too much to drink, she might be tempted to dance on stage.”  The customers were paying for a good show, attractive as Ryoko was, no one probably wanted to watch a drunk woman with no dancing experience flail around on stage…probably.  Ryoko might also regret it the next day.

A brow briefly arched as within the background a bartender cussed out one of the television sets. The day had just started. It didn't bode very well for anyone. A grumpy bartender could be dangerous. Thankfully the piece of rogue technology appeared to fix itself. An ear flicked as Dalton's voice rung a bit louder within her head. He had leaned in closer to speak, and this had drawn her away from the distraction.

"Sometimes my tail has a mind of it's own."

For the time being it appeared to remain lockstep in with her intended appearance. Behind her it remained down, swaying only slightly with the movement of her hips as she walked. In this way it helped to project a bit more confidence while simultaneously being readied to provide more balance should a situation desperately call for it. Not that she intended for that sort of trouble to arrive here, but it was always good to be prepared for it.

As the two reached the bar Evi briefly took notice of the two who had arrived before them, the same two who had been spying on their conversation. Her attention was grabbed away almost immediately as the bartender addressed her with the same issue she'd been prepared to face at the club's opening. A hand reached into her pocket, whipping out the ID card she had readied, only to then be informed that it wasn't an issue. With a shrug the ID card was set back within her coat.

Amusing. But I suppose that was part of why they tried to get rid of us, huh?

When Dalton replied and mentioned the drinks Evi offered a single acknowledging nod in support of his comment. She need not really speak when she had someone perfectly capable of doing so for her! Why expend the extra energy, or open herself up to a deeper exploration of her identity?

He was a good choice so far.
