Am i a shitty GM if i keep forgetting about the games to the point that everyone forgets about them? I gm for 1-2 years and i never finished even a oneshot because over time i keep forgetting that i run a game and it just dies out?

Well life happens! Although maybe you just weren't as interested in them as you thought?

Your darkest self is supposed to be the state you're in when you lose control of your monstrous part You stop being a teenager and you give in to your monstrous cravings.

This often means you take on the role of the villain of the story, and that might work well for an opening scene. But really the point of an opening scene is to figure out what kind of narrative we're looking for. So for a first season I don't think I want to start you out in your darkest self.

Ok, so I want to make sure I understand the game flow right. @roll to seduce framed our first scene (love it btw), and put some framing questions in green text.

We're answering those framing questions in this discussion thread, right?

But then are we waiting for another post from our MC? or are we good to start writing into the scene? (I just don't want to jump the gun if I misunderstood)

~~

Selene was on her way home, but stopped to visit Robin and get her daily snack. They are were chatting. What were they chatting about?

@Chiyako What if Robin is a bit anxious and asking Selene if they've seen Charlotte? Maybe Charlotte got angry and left the apartment yesterday, but she didn't come home. She's done it before, so while Robin and her aunt are worried, they're hoping she just crashed on a friend's couch or went to smoke weed on a swing set somewhere.

That sounds good to me! Would you like the first post then? Or shall I?

Cool 😊 I have an idea, but I'll try to be quick (I don't want people to feel like they have to 'take turns' necessarily. We can always edit to tweak stuff if people's replies come right on top of each other).

That's fair, and I don't mind waiting! If you have an idea go ahead, and don't worry about rushing.

Ok it'll be a few hours before i can reply but wanted to bounce a few ideas to gauge intrest.

I want to set velvet up as someone oddly connected, especially for someone who presents themselves as goth. Namely leaning into the ability she has to learn secrets due to her infernal playbook to basically be... a bit connected to every social circle (IE in a given day she might spend time with the jocks, theater kids, goths, skaters, etc) without ever seeming to be... affected by the normal conflicts that come from being in multiple normally conflicting clicks... namely due to her learning peoples wants, desires, and fears and "relating" to them in one form or another to keep friends in odd places

...where this comes in is i think it could be interesting if velvet knew a minor want or desire from the get go of some of the others... IE selenes desire for real honey, robins crush, etc

Im fine either way, but it depends on how i approach some of my reply

I think the idea of Velvet being in the orbits of a bunch of cliques without being truly 'in' with any of them is a cool starting place.

If Velvet knows little tidbits on ppl they'd have to be really little though (like Selene's honey) because mechanically, big influential knowledge would be a String.

I might offer that Velvet has noticed Robin wears the same little silver cross necklace every day.

@roll to seduce "How does Velvet know these people? Why is she hanging out with them?"
in case it was not obvious Ill answer here, velvet is not quite a social buterfly, but close enough to have made friends in nearly every click. she is hanging out with them today specifically because she was asked to spend time with certain friends by a particular caregiver of hers... and he was keeping an eye on her in his own way to make sure she was doing as told

P.S. for the GM only (or those with no self control ;p

Spoiler

If you highlight my entire post, you will notice a few extra dashed out lines that are colored to blend in with the post background. they came from mr ascars, ill try and keep this bit going here and there as a fun little thing

Let me know if I should cut the homophobia.

It makes sense here. In an expressly queer game I think we need to include it, as it's certainly part of the queer experience, but I think we need to be mindful about how we do it.

I think the way you're approaching it does that.

Unrelated, I'm tempted to lash out physically but I'll hold off until Selene and Robin react to what's going on.
